Very lovely venue, right on the water. I had the blueberry compote which was stunning. A big shout out to their homemade hash browns. They were stunning!

Great place to eat. Building has a lot of character making for a pleasant atmosphere.

They offered to replace a spilt milkshake for free

Went here today (bank holiday Monday) and it was delicious food! Host was friendly and smiley and greeted us at the door, Easy to order from the QR code at the table, lots to choose from on the menu and did not wait a long time for food and drinks. Coffee really good and we also had a juice and a smoothie! We had a breakfast, Eggs Benedict and shared some hash browns. Will definitely be coming here again!

Always a great/friendly service. Coffee & smoothies delicious. Food good generally - on this occasion my sweet potato wedges needed to be cooked a little longer as they were still fairly firm and not as I would have liked. But other than that a great little spot to work from or catch up with friends.

Popped in for a very nice coffee , loads of seating and nice to be able to order from the website to your table. Will be back.

Food was amazing healthy and homemade hash browns where a plus. Very friendly staff and approachable. Only thing letting service down was my coffee was cold and could have sank it in one and staff didn't do a check back on food and drink which would have rectified this. Luckily these things don't bother me and still enjoyed the experience. Price wise a bit much for a Plymouth average but £18 for a breakfast and coffee was okay .but as the breakfast has too much toast possibly go down two pieces and add a tomato. Loved the hogs pudding nice addition.

Whenever I am in Plymouth, this place is first on my list of visits. The whole experience of dining in is so pleasant. The staff are down to earth and so attentive, the ordering is so hassle free and is an extremely fast service. The Boss vegan breakfast is a must, sets you up for a full day of exploring which goes well with the best soya flat white in town. Also The menu is so full of tempting choices to suit everybody's taste. This place is an absolute must for the best breakfast in Plymouth. Can't wait to return!🙂

What a great experience for the 3 of us, service great from the moment we walked in, met by a nice polite young man who showed us our seats and also how to order, the lady who took the order and waited while to other two with me finally made their minds up, and the lady who served our food. The boss breakfast was great, the others had the smaller breakfast with hash browns, all the plates finished and mopped up with the toast. Thanx so much for the great experience, my brother who lives local will definitely be back and we shall be back when back down visiting (Wakefield to far to travel unfortunately). First time visiting here after hearing good reviews. The food (big breakfast) was pretty standard, but the Boston Black tea was good. Sadly the sarcastic and rude member of staff who “greeted” us means we won’t be back.

Both the burger and the toastie were really tasteless =\ it was disappointing because the place is so nice.

Wonderful range of food, serving plates whose origins stem from different cultures. Ordering is done from a mobile phone browser allowing for groups to have individual priced options. Good friendly service. Ideal place for friends to meet over brunch or an afternoon bite to eat. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff, despite card machine and Wi-Fi not working the staff were still able to find a solution. Extremely helpful with my drink order as it was a white mocha (not on the menu but they still made it for me). Food was delicious and delivered very fast and service was amazing. Such a nice atmosphere I really recommend if you want a calm modern coffee shop/brunch place.

Really lovely spot for brunch on the barbican! Visited on a whim as we fancied having a late breakfast somewhere nearby. All of the staff were lovely and the atmosphere is nice although it could use some art on the walls upstairs :) . Our food was delicious, my partner got the classic breakfast with a blueberry and ginger smoothie (which was so good!) and I got the veggie breakfast with a glass of iced tea. I also picked up an oat milk iced latte afterwards and I'm so glad I did as it was great! We will 100% return in the future!

Advertised as being dog friendly but when my elderly parents brought my puppy here she barked a couple of times - she's only a puppy and gets very excited as she usually gets made a fuss of in cafes but she soon settles down, an extremely rude server asked "is your dog okay? Her barks very loud" (of course she's okay, dogs bark) And suggested my parents move elsewhere. They left to instead sit outside at their usual coffee spot (the Cornish bakery), they hadn't originally gone here as it was very busy and my dad is recovering from cancer treatment so is careful not to be around too many people. Boston tea party was dead, probably due to the appalling hygiene rating and lacking customer service. You're either dog friendly or you're not. If an excitable puppy bothers you that much then don't allow dogs. For people that want actual dog friendly cafes the Cornish bakery, rockets and rascals, seco lounge, the waterfront and Dutton's are among my favourites.

Dishonest culture here. Previously they dishonoured my partners loyalty card. This time the woman at counter cheated on her order. She clearly asked for standard scone as advertised/shown at the counter. She was surprised when she was asked if she wanted cream, and said 'whatever's standard'. She later realised the woman had changed her order to more expensive Christmas option that she hadnt asked for, and wasnt displayed when she ordered. When my partner went back to complain, the standard scone had been 'mysteriously' removed from view. She was obviously refunded, but thats not the point. What we find distasteful about Boston Tea Party culture is their desperation to make a couple of quid extra by deceiving customers. WATCH OUT CUSTOMERS!

I’m always returning here for breakfast and brunch and have been for years. There’s something for everyone and is ideally located on the Barbican. I always go for the Veggie Boss Breakfast and recommend that too for any fellow vegetarians out there!

Had a lovely sausage muffin with a great cup of coffeee complemented by cheerful staff, can’t complain!

Old fashioned place but plenty of space. Food is ok. Ordered pancakes with berries, they were not as fluffy and tasty as at many other places. But coffee is nice, loved the coffee art in each drink 🫶 Staff is friendly and attentive 😃👍

Came here for lunch with my girlfriend on our weekly date. To say the atmosphere was nice is an understatement. When you walk in you’re met with a lovely rustic cafe but that’s not the best bit. The service was incredible, the staff were welcoming and made the whole experience feel fluid while maintaining the mellow mood.

Post pandemic this place has gone down hill, the constant changing of the menus, the terribly tasting coffee, although I can say the service is still pretty good unfortunately what the waitresses and waiters serve you is less than below par and I will no longer be returning

Absolutely awesome breakfast. Especially loved the delicious mushrooms and home made hash browns, though everything else was top notch also.

I have been to BTP in Plymouth a few times and always had great food and service, I prefer it to the one in Exeter (which is also good) that is closer to me. Plymouth has a more relaxed atmosphere. Really captures the south west vibes.

Please allow the option for regular beans in the vegan breakfast, especially on the delivery apps, the Boston beans are gross. There is no need for you to mess with beans in the first place as they are ALREADY vegan.

Thank you for providing great vegan options, including a vegan breakfast. Although I did think there was a sweetcorn overload. Sweetcorn fritters and scrambled sweetcorn on one breakfast plate. Better to add a sausage and delete one of the sweetcorn options maybe 🤷‍♂️

Had a great time at BTP and all the servers were very friendly and helpful especially "Cam", who was extremely helpful with the menu who also shown a great customer service. I would definitely recommend and come back again.
