B.O.S Cafe in Sedgemoor

So we've visited here a few times in the past as we know what we're getting, it's spacious, clean and what not. We was going to try somewhere else just for a change but was busy elsewhere. Here is fine! Moving on, this time there were three new young faces to me on this particular Saturday (7th sept) There was a young lad working who greeted us with a smile and a good morning. How nice. I noticed he was helpful and went above and beyond for customers the whole time. I like that !!!!! The two younger girls were chatting and giggling to themselves but pleasant enough. The lad went on his lunch break and sat outside and he even said goodbye and have a good day ! His customer service made up for the runny beans on my breakfast. Ha The food is always fine (Apart from cheap beans) We will return but please recognise the young teams customer service.

We ordered breakfast. Hubby had a tea while I had a peach tea. The order arrived quickly but to be honest was a bit disappointing. Toast was burnt, small portion and not even a glass to drink my tea, just the bottle put in front of me

We have travelled here from just outside dorchester. We come here for a day out. The food we have here is amazing. We both eat the same as we love there omelette cheese and chips and salad the staff are friendly and leave you to enjoy your food. Such a clean and welcoming place so if you on hoilday or just a day out pop in you won't be disappointed in the food. Lisa & matt we will be back soon

Lovely little place we found in Burnham-on-Sea. They accept cash and card. Ordering is done at the main counter. We ordered breakfasts and toast. Didn’t take long, and was well presented. The two ladies serving were very polite, and tables were cleared quick. It did get busy. The place is reasonable priced.

Went for a cuppa and a sandwich, lady said £7.50 please. I got my debit card out and she said it will be £ 10 if you pay using a card. Luckily I had £10 note so said I'd be paying cash. I mentioned this to my sister and my husband and they checked on line that this is an illegal practice. I'm not a banker but will check with trading standards as many people may be getting charged this fee. The chef brought out my sandwich, and I'd give that a big thumbs up. We have eaten breakfasts here before and never had problem with food, but just thought this was bad practice. Luckily we also love the pub food across the road at the railway, so will be choosing to go there in the future.

We're local and visited this cafe a few times. At the weekend we left Weston-super-Mare to drive back to eat at this cafe. The prices are reasonable, food tasty, clean environment and the team are all lovely EXCEPT ONE person. Every time we visit the young male lad , tall with glasses is miserable and rude. His customer service skills are awful. The older lady who is front of house is a delight and probably the main reason we return. But the boy doesn't speak, his face frowns and is so unhelpful. You ask him a question and he literally doesn't answer. He makes a latte and puts his fingers around the top of the latte glass where my mouth is about to drink from. He then touches his face and hair and his hands are touching everything. I even heard another lady at the table by the door say "he's got a bad attitude!" After he served them their items at their table. He really brings the place down. Put him in the kitchen or table clearing, but to have him serving customers is an insult to us. We may have to find somewhere new to go to because one of these days, im going.to have to tell him how awful he is. Do better, your are getting paid!!

Went in for Lunch and was really disappointed, the food was poor quality and small portions sizes yet still relativilly dear compared to others adjacent restaurants/cafes - I did compalin about my Wife's food and the guy just shrugged his Shoulders and walked off - first and last visit for us, too many other decent alternatives close by

The food was really good here and reasonably priced. The service was fast and the young ladies working here was very nice. The sour note to our visit was the man at the end. We had intended to stay longer and have a dessert but our parking was almost up and we needed to add more. We’d spend £80 already and asked if they could give us a few pounds change in a £20 note. The girl started to say yes but this man swanned in and refused. We explained the situation and he said “no - just two £10 notes” (obviously parking meters don’t take notes!). Earlier he’d been very rude to the staff member over another mix up too. We ended up leaving and felt underappreciated. It seems that this place has loads of potential but there are some staff members who need to understand how important customer service is. Pros - cheap and nice food Cons - service

Just a quick review if your hungry and want something to eat then visit this place. I ordered the gammon steak with egg chips peas and tomato Ive had gammon steak at other cafes but i have never had a one as big as the one i got at this cafe..filled me up for the day cooked absolutely perfect

They got the order wrong and when we mentioned it was wrong we got told well I did not bring the food out, who did? Food got taken away and bought back the same, we just said we will sort it out between us. No apology. Toast was already buttered and it was cold. No one asked if the food was ok or said goodbye when we left. Not used to such rude treatment. Even the people on the table next to us were shaking their heads at how we got treated. Definitely won't recommend or be going back. Food was average.

Excellent service, food was of an excellent quality, friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere. Would recommend anyone to come in here for a meal.

We would always go here for lunch but the last time we did it was awful. The quality of the ingredients were cheap. My omelette was rushed out so quickly the cheese wasn’t even melted. The poor excuse for salad was a bit of dried tomato, a big chunk of onion, limp lettuce with no dressing. It’s gone downhill rapidly and we won’t be going back any time soon. Such a shame as it used to be a great place to eat.

We were really hungry after a long walk and they were very generous with their portions. Lovely food, staff and facilities exceptionally clean. We'll be regulars from now on.

We always visit this lovely cafe when we come to the area. The meals are consistently delicious. The staff are pleasant. It’s clean and in my opinion the best place to eat there.

Started off well ordered a big breakfast came out fairly quickly but then soon realised I was missing an egg so approached the till and there was a Welsh lady there.. told her what was missing from my meal and she rudely said " well I can't do anything about it" I showed her the menu and she just turned her head to one of the younger girls and started laughing . I've never been so embarrassed and upset. Won't be coming back again.

We went here one day on our holiday. I said hello to one of the staff as I went in, she didn’t reply and didn’t even smile….we should have left then but we didn’t, I wish we had! They couldn’t manage to make a mozzarella and bacon panini but they could do cheese and bacon (this was for a child and a very fussy eater) I’d happily have paid extra for what he wanted but wasn’t given the option! The food was quite greasy and not very hot. No pleases, thank yous or smiles from any staff the whole time we were there, but they were happy to smile and chat with locals. Made us feel really uncomfortable and the food wasn’t worthy the money. Will never go back there.

A great cafe with fast service and the food was brill and plenty of it very clean d cheerfull service went there four times can't fault them

We visited twice in July and found the menu extensive and we were served by enthusiastic staff. Although small there are Toilets for the customers, it is kept clean and tidy and the owner/manager is on hand and oversees the whole operation. Our experience was very good and we would recommend the "Bos Cafe & Restaurant " to anybody. Well done

I was staying in a hotel which didn’t offer breakfast as so many don’t these days so was glad to see this place opened early. It’s a comfortable cafe with the standard breakfast menu, well cooked and reasonably priced food as it should be and the hardworking staff are briskly efficient.

Had breakfast there with my partner this morning. Very nice food, but the welsh lady serving could do with being more friendly - sorry love, but you came across as being a bit peed off and sullen. That's not good in your profession! Also, they were inflexible when we asked if we could make a small breakfast a veggie one instead. For goodness sake, all you have to do is replace a meat sausage with a veggie one, it's hardly a big ask. That was disappointing. But... despite the cons, I would recommend this café as it was fairly priced and very tasty. Hopefully the lady serving will read this and rather than take offence, take it in the spirit it's offered - constructive criticism. Leave your troubles and the door, be professional and smile at your customers more!!

Was so excited to try breakfast here, after hear good reviews. We were disappointed, cold Beans and tasteless and meat less sausages, they were just full of processed yuck. Coffee was so weak, for filter coffee that i had to pay 50p for an extra shot of expresso. Staff were pleasant.

Best BLT …. Ever!! Tourists passing through and lucked in on this little cafe. Lovely cappuccinos, all fresh salad with the big jacket potato and paninis, but I won with a delicious BLT - crispy lean bacon on fresh lettuce in a brioche bun! Highly recommend!

My husband wanted to come here for his birthday breakfast. I ordered a veggie burger. His breakfast was good. No complaints there at all. I waited 10 mins before asking when My food was coming. I was told it was on it's way. Wasn't worth the wait. The 'veggie garden burger' is actually mashed potato with a couple of bits of veg mixed in and the salad was a really watery mix of horribleness. I didn't eat the burger at all and left 90% of the salad. The waitress was rude too, raising her eyes when I asked why there were unordered chips on the plate. We're local so could have been relatively good customers. Never eat there again.

Had several Breakfasts here before and always quite good including this time BUTmy Wife had Burger and Chips which not only came out nearly as I was finishing but the salad was dripping with water making the burger/chips soggy - pointed it out to the "waiter" who took it away without any apology and that was that NOTHING!Couldn't even be bothered to even ask for a refund for hers, shame really but plenty of other cafes near by

Today we came to bos café in Burnham on sea for breakfast after looking around the food and drink festival. We were a group of 3. We mange to get a table for 4. I had the vegetarian breakfast. Grampy had the traditional breakfast. Mummy had scrambled eggs on toast. We order a pot of tea and and a coffee for me. As the coffee was hot and I take tablets before I have breakfast in the morning so asked for some tap water which was no problem at all.

Visited twice and on both occasions we were really happy with the service and prices of the food, some members of staff are extremely friendly and helpful, would highly recommend this if your in the area

We had our favourite comfort food here last week for a lovely lunch when we were on holiday in Burnham . Double egg and chips and a pot of strong tea . Cafe was clean and covid precautions all being taken seriously , reminders to put on a mask when not seated and track and trace details taken . Very good value and would certainly return .

Do not eat here! Ordered a breakfast for 5 of us which was inedible. Sausage was filled with pure grease. Drinks were better at a 2* all inclusive in Spain. Never again will we visit this place. I’d advise to stay away.

Ordered egg on toast for me burger and chips for my son arrived within 3 minutes chips hard as rock toast wasn't toast was just bread no butter .obviously sons microwaved burger chips cooked to fast in hot fat .I did complain but they obviously just want your money and dont care

I've been going there for nearly 10 years now and never had a bad meal. I've also take a lot of friends there and all agree it's a top place.

Service quick and friendly ,food was hot, had full English , plenty of. The actual town is in a sorry state , it's very scruffy and run down. I noticed a pub opposite which was full of what looked like the local drunks and smack heads !! The place caters for cheap holidays and caravans and all I can say is it is probably good enough for that type of holiday maker. There are plenty of lovely resorts in this country but not North Somerset, sadly. I did try to use the bus to get into another run down town Weston but buses are once an hour and a local told me unreliable service and only go to Weston if you are buying drugs !!! Says it all really...

Ok. I defy people that have given this place more points to go over to Ollies near Brent Knoll and have breakfast! Then come back and change their points scored for this place!!!

Went here with a large choice of cafes in the area it looked inviting clean and fresh . We chose and ordered to find out it was cash only. So we had to pop to the bank across the way but in this age very surprised they do not take card. We ordered and food arrived quickly can’t fault the service but the scrambled eggs was rubbery and overcooked and the sausages deep fried holding grease and tasted nasty. But the rest was nice and couldn’t really complain at the price. I would go back but probably wouldn’t have the breakfast again.

I visited here a few days ago. It has a really good location on the high street, but nothing really grabs me about it. If you are looking for clean, everything one touches has a sticky feel to it, from menus to tables...One COULD get real numbers in here but there were only 3-4 people when I went in.Reading the previous review, I want to make note here that the reason why they take cash is that they don’t make enough money to have card payments... Many businesses here and in nearby Highbridge are the same.So, the food... hmmm, I was expecting spicy pork sausages, creamy fried eggs, crunchy has browns and door wedge toast with real butter, pungent mushroom, and saucy beans... None of that was true.I had black pudding, which did have a bit of taste to it, but everything else was bland. Cheap produce badly prepared.One thing they could make a lot of profit from would be a milky cup of coffee in a mug for a pound. That would get punters in, but sadly this greasy spoon has lost its oomph. Even the staff seem disinterested in the whole thing!

Stumbled on this cafe on way to watch rugby, had a lovely breakfast, piping hot, place was very clean and spotless and well laid out. Toilets were very clean and place and kitchen was spotless. Also went for lunch and ordered a steak to my liking which was well done and it was so nice and very well presented and piping hot. My friend had a jacket potato which she said was so nice and lots of it. Will be visiting again and visited at least 3 or 4 times while we were there.Saw other peoples food being bought out that looked lovely as well and place was really busy but we was never left waiting. Coffee was amazing too.

Popped into here basically for a cup of tea, the service in this lovely place was wonderful, the staff treated everyone the same whether it was a family having a meal or my wife and I having a pot of tea, the food looked great with prices to match, most certainly will go in for a meal next time in Burnum

decided to stop here for breakfast first of all they only take cash which I found strange as most people pay by card nowerdays.I was surprised at how fast my breakfast came out i had just order sat back at my table and my drink arrived and then my food.seeing they say on there menu everyting cook to order,I find that hard to believe due to how fast my food came out the breakfast was ok bacon was not that warm and could of done with being cooked a bit longer other then that it was an ok breakfast.I found the staff where not that friendly.wont be coming back in a hurry as I have had better breakfasts in other cafes in burnham

Visited with my 5 year old son today as he wanted pancakes for breakfast. We made a specific request that was ignored and then waitress was rude when we asked for a replacement. Once we did get the replacement, neither of us could eat more than half as they were like warm, flat and bland. They appeared to be microwave ones like you buy in asda with some squirty cream. I paid £3.50 each for this abysmal excuse for a pancake. The cafe was packed so they must be doing something right elsewhere it's just not with the pancakes. It was a very disappointing trip and we won't be going back

It wouldn't be Burnham without a visit to B.O.S. a popular place with both Locals and visitors. Nicely positioned on the High street so if like me you do one side of the shops, stop here to refresh and replenish your belly.

Stooped off for a cup of tea and not chocolate , lovely drinks good service , best of all lovey clean toilets.

A warm welcome and clean premises. Had the liver bacon onion peas chips and gravy. A good helping of small diced liver but not too tasty. Could have done with more onion and bacon (only one rasher). The gravy was very thin. Lots of peas and a handful of chips. Moderately priced but nothing to write home about.

The menus are on the tables but there are no signs to say that it is counter service. We were sitting there 10 minutes before we realised it was counter service, despite a waitress walking past our table about 8 times. The waitress could have told us to order at the counter. I ordered a breakfast and asked for no eggs but was not offered an alternative (same price). The food was average and the toast was just like warm bread and I suspect it had just been put in the microwave. Unfriendliness and unhelpfulness from some of the staff let this place down.

Excellent meals for the 4 of us with plenty of very good food of all sorts. We thought at first that it all seemed a bit on the expensive side but when the food came we all quickly changed our minds about that as it was worth every penny with excellent pleasant service.

it menu is okay, the food is cheap, I have no major issues, but it is a bit dull and I'm not overly impressed by the food. the hygiene has improved, but it's nothing special.

Early Friday afternoon 21st December and we visited this cafe for lunch. At the counter we ordered 2 bacon sandwiches on white bread, £2.60 each and 2 flat white coffees £2.20 each.

As usual we had a lovely meal at BOS cafe before our trip to the cinema to see Bahomian Rhapsody. Extremely friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, very reasonably priced menu, good size portions & such speedy service. I had jacket potato and salad and my husband had sausage, egg and chips and 2 mugs of tea. Restaurant and toilets are very clean, I would hugely recommend this cafe

We came here last night for the carnival and thought we’d have tea here. Staff were friendly. It was cash only and you order at the counter. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait long for our food. We had big platefuls so it was definitely value for money. I would deff come back again and would certainly recommend this.

Fancied a coffee and we wanted to support the local businesses so we stopped off here. Really friendly staff, lovely food and absolutely spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a visit. Very good prices and value for money.

Peckish while doing some shopping so nipped in for a breakfast. Staff friendly, place was clean and fresh.. food arrived in good time and was a superb breakfast at a great price aswell. Very nice pit stop for a tasty treat i highly recommend.

The only reason why I never gave bos cafe full marks just one complaint the toilet need to be cleaned and checked on more though out the day as staff do stand about when not busy maybe check on the toilets more please other than that staff lovley food very nice

Lovely helpful staff, one made a fuss of our little dog. Cappucchino was best I have had for a while. We did not have anything to eat, but sat outside int he sunshine and enjoyed our drinks.

Arrived in Burnham early in the morning. Chose this cafe out of plenty available for a breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. A really good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Found this when house hunting in the area. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and an extensive menu, all very reasonably priced. We have been in on several occasions now and always had good food

I only had a cappuccino here, was nice to sit and chill, while watching the world go by! The cappuccino was very good, so I would visit again.

We hadn’t been to the BOS for a while as we thought the breakfast wasn’t so good when we went there last time. Unfortunately things haven’t improved, the woman that served us had no personality and the breakfast was of very poor quality. If you like beans then this may be the place for you as half the plate contained them. Won’t bother again will go back to Fortes which, had it opened on time this morning, we would have been.

A welcoming smile greeted us when we popped in here for lunch. That is so important and makes customers feel welcome. It was busy but not packed. We ordered our meals and when they arrived both were delicious. Will be going there again.

Sadly this establishment has been served an improvement notice as its now only 2 star establishment in the eyes of the council environmental health thou they display 5 stars!!!! Buyers beware, theres much safer and better in Burnham, give it a swerve, save your guts...... Poor excuse to blame on lack of staff.... Tables and a kitchen full of dirty crockery would not result in an improvement notice!!!!!

Really good food at a reasonable price. Huge portions. We had chicken and chips, which was half a chicken, chips and either peas or beans. The side salad is more of a complete salad. Very good staff that were helpful and polite. Very clean cafe

We visited this great little cafe twice during a recent visit to BOS. The first time was for breakfast and there was a huge choice of different breakfasts; sandwiches, different versions of a full English, omelettes, toasted teacakes, etc. The portions were really generous and the price wasn't too bad at all.

My family and I called in for a coffee and made us felt very unwelcome!!!!! The staff all look as if they don't want to be here not once did the lady at the til smile ' so sorry for causing you any inconvenience by wanting a drink' definitely WONT visit again need to sort your staff out seriously!!!

No hay gran variedad de comida sin gluten en el menú (las patatas fritas son fritos con otros alimentos que contengan gluten). Mi compañero eligió la patata chaqueta con queso mientras tuve el queso y el jamón en mi patata chaqueta, ambos eran servidos con una porción de ensalada fresca. Las comidas estaban bien y a un precio razonable. También fue muy bueno ya que tienen aire acondicionado, este era un día muy caluroso.

As always when on a visit/stay in Burnham, I toddle along to this cafe.....this time I had an all day breakfast with a large latte and took time to read the supplied by these guys daily paper..........like every other visit here the staff are lovely, the food/service is excellent☺ I will visit again in October on my next stop over ☺

This café can be relied upon to provide the very best bacon baguettes on the planet and at extremely reasonable cost. The speed of service is also awesome! Very many thanks BOS.

Visited the cafe as read good reviews on trip advisor. Big menu and good prices we thought give the a go. The food was not that good and beans, sausages were tasteless. It was quantity over quality which is a shame as we were looking forward to our meal. They do make a nice up of tea though. Staff were really pleasant and friendly too

We don't live in Burnham anymore but we quite often pop back on a Sunday to get breakfast from B.O.S. The food is great value for money. Service is extremely quick. Staff have always been polite and helpful. My favourite café to visit!

i am slowly going through the menu and am pleasantly surprised that i've enjoyed all the meals so far as i didn't think it was a very good cafe when it first opened .

We use the BOS café in Bridgwater which is probably the best place there for a breakfast so we thought we would try their Burnham café while we were there. We were not disappointed, we had the big breakfast which will really take some beating. The staff were really polite and attentive and the place exceptionally clean. We visit Burnham for breakfast and usually go to Fortes but the coffee and tea lets the breakfast down but BOS coffee matches the breakfast. Go on give it a go, you won't be disappointed. This will be our new place for breakfast.

Wanted a leisurely straightforward breakfast and that is what I got. Ordered from a good selection and got my food quickly. Properly hot with good quality ingredients and the quantity more than ample.Nice big mug of tea and newspapers available make for a relaxing meal. The only criticism is that, in common with many such places, it is hard as a solo customer. You have to choose a table and order at the bar. Nothing to stop someone coming in and taking your table whilst you are ordering.

Visited mid morning for a bite to eat. Plenty of seating and easily found a place to sit. Checked menu and ordered. Whilst waiting for food cutlery brought to the table and found to be dirty and not fully washed. Asked for replacement and found them to be the same. Food arrived to the chorus of a child screening. Food was OK, atmosphere shocking, staff average and price expensive. Will not be back in a hurry

No quibble with regards to the food and drink however it is a questionable policy that allows breast feeding but requests that you "pop over the road to the local pub" to change your baby rather than in the privacy of onsite facilities. The staff in place today (23/11/16) made me and a group of friends extremely uncomfortable at ignoring their request and changing my baby in their bathroom - we had bought and paid for food and would expect the courtesy of using the available facilities without the scorn.

We stoped off for breakfast at bos cafe Burnham on Sea we found it good value for money and good full english breakfast. Sausage 2 rashers of bacon egg black pudding tomatoes beans lots of toast Friendly staff

Average breakfast, served hot and very quick. Not the best quality sausage/bacon but ok. Would return to try main meal.
