Friendly Staff. Prices are high for drinks and food is ok. Burgers are the best option. Starters are expensive for a tiny tiny portion!

Enjoyed a nice family meal here on Sunday 01/06/25. Good service, nice staff especially Emily Taylor who went out of her way, on a very busy day, to come and say hello.

Very nice warm welcome on arrival taken to seat was a issue with booking food drink online as carling is not available here and it kept asking to add cordial bar staff very apologetic little wait for food. Generally good value for money pudding arrived quickly. Overall a good experience. The place was nice and busy so that may explain the wait for food

Went yesterday for the RSPCA’s market. Was very impressed with how the event was ran, there was a good choice of different stalls all raising money for such a good charity. Bought some lovely handmade wax melts and a soap bar from a little business there called Melt and Soak, the lady running that stall was very friendly & knowledgeable. We also had drinks and a meal whilst we were there. The food was delicious and the service was great too, the staff were all happy to help. My partner was very impressed with his lager: “cracking pint for the price!”

Came for the RSPCA event, what a load of rubbish in a really dark dingy room where my mum who is partially sighted could not see a thing. For the type of event should have been more dog associated sale, I was apprenshive about spending money on the stalls as noy sure how much of money they was donating to rspca. The pub it's self could have done more, seen as it's for charity. A real let down. Best bit sat outside chatting to other dog owners and £6 a pint where are we the London!! Won't come here for a event again.

Went for lunch the carvery did not look good not a great selection had a baguette steak was burnt and tasteless and got about 10 chips will NEVER go again

We attend the Bobbin Carrier once a month for the Friendship Group……You meet friends, have a delicious carvery & there’s entertainment, with a singer, magic tricks, play your cards right & even a game of bingo, all for £10! How amazing is that & the staff are always so friendly! Such excellent value for money Thanks guys

Friendly staff, ruby is friendly and able to have a joke, food is a bit average, room for improvement for what it costs. However caz moving from kitchen to front of house has been a blast. Codie is always codie always a blast

Caz was our server today. My mum brought us down for a carvery to thank my friend and I for all our help. I am a challenge to feed because of a long list of intolerances. Caz was amazing. Checking with me, liaising with the kitchen staff, double checking with me to ensure that the food I received was safe for me. Nothing was too much trouble! They even gave us the scrag ends of the meat joints for our dog. He was delighted by this. The food was great, the service outstanding. A huge thanks to Caz and the whole team both kitchen and front of house for looking after us so well. 😊

No longer Marston so no Blue Light discount. Went at 13:30 so not much meat left. About 4 lots of different dried vegetables. Raw roast potatoes. Will give it a miss in future!

Unfortunately the worst food I've had been served. Been once before for a carvery which was nice however food from the main menu wasn't great at all. Waited nearly an hour and we only ordered a few starters! The food finally came, the garlic bread was basically soggy bread, the loaded fries looked like they'd been sat there for ages,, half of it was like warm! Really terrible service which is a shame as I enjoyed it first time round. Unfortunately, won't be going back for food!

We come and eat a couple of times a month here and find the service staff very helpful and knowledgeable. In particular about three weeks ago we ate with children who have allergies. I needed clarification on a menu item as wasn’t sure. Emily showed us the meal was safe for our child with the table menu . We felt safe and reassured and really appreciated it, thanks Emily!

I visit here a lot and always have an excellent experience. I love the carvery it is always delicious and lovely and fresh. I also love the cowboy burger and steaks. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. I have also had the carvery from the too good to go app and it is very tasty as always. Bobbin always do good events and the bingo and quiz are very enjoyable. I will be back very soon for another great visit.

First rate. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the lovely Claire, found a great table and took our time to choose lunch and drinks from the extensive menu. We were pleased with our lunch choices, which were very tasty and value for money in our opinion. Bellies satisfied we received an equally friendly goodbye. The Bobbin Carrier never fails to deliver on both the service and food for us. We hope to be back again soon!

Arrived for lunch for my Dad's birthday a few days ago. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Had a look at the carvery on the way past to our table and it looked like it had been sat for hours. Very dried out and crusty. Put me off having it. No one checked on it in all the time we were there, so it was left to just wilt and crust over. I ordered a kebab instead of carvery. When it came, the chicken was warm in some places and cold in others. I asked if I could have another as hot and cold chicken on the same plate was jarring. One was brought out but it was barely warm again. At that time most of my family were finishing their meals as mine was just being brought back out, so I didn't say anything again and just ate half of it. I ended up giving a lot of it to my dog. I got the chocolate and mint dessert, which was a disappointment. The chocolate was a strange slimy consistency and tasteless. The only taste was the mint sauce they'd drizzled on top. Again, at this point I didn't want to spoil the meal so I didn't say anything. I don't think I'd bother coming again. It wasn't good food and the carvery was dried out and left forgotten in the middle of the room. Disappointing.

£9.99 for strips and popcorn sharer and we only got 4 strips and 6 popcorn between 2 people, plus 30 minute wait for food meant our party who got carvery had finished before our food arrived

We have a great experience everytime we visit and I would highly recommend it to family and friends! Staff are always very friendly and helpful and kitchen staff/chef was really knowledgeable about allergens/vegan diet. It's very family friendly and One of the only places in the area we can eat-in for a vegan! I want all the team at the bobbin carrier to know they are doing a great job!

Great service and beautiful food

We had a family meet up, 12 people Inc children and bobbin carrier is an ideal venue for such a gathering. Relaxed atmosphere, good range of drinks and large food menu. QR code or bar service options with a kids area and large screen TVs. Spot on

Food was ok.. basic.. I had a chicken burger which was a coated chicken burger 🍔.. with a hash brown and a not great bit of bacon... had to ask for the table to be wiped off even though it was sticky and mess still on it. Staff were accommodating and busy

I dint have a booking so took a chance an asked for a table an the man at the door was so welcomeing found me a table with a high chair straight away baring in mind was mother's day so was busy then we ordered an waited about 40 minutes for food but dint mind as was busy expecting it to take longer the food was amazing all the plates was clean at end highly recommend

Value for money, 5 adults 2 kids was roughly £85 (food only). It’s fairly priced pub grub and it’s much, much better quality food than the chain brand over the road, you know the one ! They’re dog friendly they have water and dog treats, a nice outdoor area for those 11 warm days a year we have and the staff were lovely and welcoming. I recommend this place for informal gatherings with family and friends where you can relax and not break the bank

Fantastic food. Lovely staff. All very polite and friendly. Food is delicious. As with all popular places, the wait for food at times, MAY be a little longer than usual but more than worth the wait.

Food arrived hot, but the quality was very poor. £89 for 4 people but would have been better going to a great for joint. 3rd visit and only one was the for our a decent quality. Avoid

Such a breath of fresh air to visit a place that has it all friendly staff and fantastic food. Brilliant service from start to finish, I visited with my family and all my special requests were listened too. Played some darts and played pool. I can’t wait to visit again, I see they do a weekly quiz and I’m going to come for that next!! I would highly recommend to anyone

Great carvery where all the food was fresh and tasty.

Dirty tables, luke warm carvery, no green veg, very slow service, many tables left uncleared and cluttered. 6 minute wait at the bar, just the worst pub meal I have had in years. Visited this place 5 years ago and it was very poor back then... thought it may have improved but it hasn't.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

Staff were nice and friendly but we chose to eat from the carvery but this was poor quality. The food was only warm at best as though it had been under the heat lamps for hours. We would not choose to eat here again.

We love the bobbin carrier, the staff are all lovely and are always happy to help. We come at least every other week for quiz night. Joe and Brad organise a great night for everyone. The food is always up to standards. It's never a trouble to go above and beyond. Would highly recommend the chocolate fudge cake it's my favourite 😁

It was alright. Clean and tidy, friendly staff, dog friendly, ample parking, no waiting for a table. The food took a while to arrive at the table but the portion size was good and the food was cooked well.

The Food was lovely on our visits and the Staff are all great and very friendly. The Carvery is great and the menu is fab your are spoilt for choice. Over the month I have visited a few times and they have some good things going on the bingo on a Tuesday afternoon and the Quiz on a weds night are always fun. Bobbin Carrier is great and highly Recommend a visit.

We were put with 3 other tables that were all talking over eachother having a drink we went for my birthday and it wasn’t a good experience at all, i had the American steak and it was chewy i couldn’t eat it, the sprouts from the carvery were hard and everything was warm wasn’t even hot, very poor choice for juiceed drinks, and the hot drinks we ordered weren’t even hot they were room temperature, overall not a very good experience at all this time, overly priced food for us to waste

Nice food, nice staff, drinks needs reassessing

Staff were all lovely but the food wasn't great at all and not worth the prices. Nacho sharer was just a bag of crisps warmed up with some really cheap bland sauces chucked on top. Kids meal of chicken nuggets chips and sweetcorn was dreadful. Not sure there was any actual chicken in the nuggets and a very small portion of chips. McDonald's is certainly better quality and value for kids. The carvery was ok but clearly had been sat all day. The meat, spuds and Yorkshire were great. The veg was average and not much choice. Sadly wouldn't go again as it was all very expensive for below average food. It was also very cold in there down by the kids area!

Food was absolutely delicious and the staff are super friendly and fun HOWEVER since the establishment is pet friendly which is absolutely fine there was a family that decended upon the vicinity with some sort of poodle type dog that would not stop barking then another family came in with a dog on an extendable lead that kept approaching our table

First time dining here and we were well impressed. Greeting at the door was very friendly and welcoming, all the staff we came into contact with were professional and nice, ordered by the Q code on the menu ( the very first time I ever done this) and the meals very brought to our table in reasonably good time. The food was very good and tasty and good portions. All in all a very good pleasant experience and will definitely come back.

Had a belting carvery, and had entertainment too, due to their friendship lunch they hold. (What a lovely thing to do) the ladies were pleasant and attentive

Had Sunday lunch at the Bobbin Carrier with my three grown up sons. I had a mixed grill, one son had the cowboy burger with sweet potato fries and the other two chose the carvery. All food arrived at the same time due to excellent organisation by the staff prompting the two carvery diners when to choose their food as the other two dishes were about to be served from the kitchen. All food was of good quality and everyone enjoyed their meals, including two who could still manage a dessert. The staff were very friendly and enquired if we were enjoying our food during dining which is sadly missing in some establishments. All in all we had a very good experience and would have no problems recommending the Bobbin Carrier to anyone. Great value for money, many thanks to all involved.

Been many times before it was ok. Went to celebrate my granddaughters birthday and was very disappointed. Choose the carvery as most of us did, Group of 15. The meat was gammon which was end of joint and all fat, turkey was dry and cut very thin with just one piece, the beef was cut the same but was that tough could not chew it. The choice of veg was very limited, there is usually more choice, the veg that was there was cold and under cooked,raw cabbage carrot and peas. No roast potatoes when I went,first. The only thing that made it good was that my granddaughter was with her family for dinner that's what she wanted. So didn't make a fuss and spoil it for her. Will think twice before going back.

Ordered drinks & food on the app Drinks brought to table with what felt like less than a minute which was great. Food arrived within 15 minutes. The burgers that myself & colleague ordered where tasty but I did find mine to be dry Staff where attentive & polite. Overall a pleasant enough stop over for lunch and will no doubt visit again when in the area

The food was excellent. Some carverys are not so good but this is not the case here. It was clean, the staff were kind, polite and professional. The only thing was that drinks were expensive. But that I believe is the same all over.

We enjoyed our visit and meal. Pleasantly quiet, quicker bar service than sometimes. The food was well cooked and presented. All staff friendly and helpful.

Had regular carvery,gammon was lovely, couldn't tell you about other meats as they were completely dried up so avoided them. Veg were also dried up and cold,waitress did offer to heat my plate up but as everything was dried up I thought it would make them worse.have eaten here before and it was good but something is definitely not right here now.would not return and would never recommend the carvery here. Staff were lovely and very pleasant.

We prebooked tables so we could be together, an that was handled in advanced, the staff where great and lovely and helped make our celebration even better.

Went in last Thursday for food with the family. There was a vast range of food, from stake to natchos! Our food was served quickly by very friendly staff who checked we were happy and enjoying our meals. Will definitely be back!

A wonderful restaurant for a family meal. We last visited on Christmas Day, as it has become somewhere we know our family will be well taken care of. Our son has additional needs and for a few years now the manager, Bradley, has been amazing at helping us to make things work for our son. They may only seem like small things but the things he does makes it possible to eat out as a family. We have learnt in the past that not all venues are so understanding. The staff are all warm and welcoming, the pub is clean and spacious. Most importantly the food is lovely. I cannot recommend the Bobbin Carrier enough and we are so thankful to all the team who make our little family so welcome! We'll be back soon!

Family member with gluten and dairy allergy was brought a specially ordered burger out in a non gluten free bread ! Luckily she noticed before eating it! Terrible error which could have made her very ill

Poor food, starter had stale bread, veg with main meal not cooked well, desert was frozen solid very hard to cut into with it flying across the table. Will not be back for Christmas meal

Simply wonderful! Extremely helpful staff member showed us to our table. She was mortified to see the table next to us had dumped all their cracker rubbish on our table and suggested we go to the bar whilst she quickly tidied up. The food we had ordered was lovely. And it was so well organised there was no queue for the carvery. We didn't feel rushed at all and several staff members kept checking that everything was OK for us. We will definitely book again for next year. It made Christmas day much more relaxed for us all. Thank you team Bobbin Carrier.

I go to bobbin couple of times a week. Brad and Claire do a fantastic job along with their competent staff. Some of the staff are only young but very good at their job. Ruby and Codie particularly have always been really friendly towards me from first day I went in. Sometimes I have carvery and sometimes a meal from the menu and it's always been spot on. Fab team altogether.

How can you have a carvery when you only have one meat. Staff don’t give a monkeys tool my money and never told us that had no meat absolute joke of place very poor quality I will be telling any one with ears don’t come here £50 odd rip off AVOID

The food here is great value for money and the manager and his wife are lovely people will be going back again
