Our first visit today for lunch with the family! Was a pleasure to be served by Steph, Sienna, Isabel and Abby, such lovely and friendly girls! Our food was delicious and the Hunters Chicken is the best I've had! Will be back 😊

Simply wonderful! Extremely helpful staff member showed us to our table. She was mortified to see the table next to us had dumped all their cracker rubbish on our table and suggested we go to the bar whilst she quickly tidied up. The food we had ordered was lovely. And it was so well organised there was no queue for the carvery. We didn't feel rushed at all and several staff members kept checking that everything was OK for us. We will definitely book again for next year. It made Christmas day much more relaxed for us all. Thank you team Bobbin Carrier.

Poor food, starter had stale bread, veg with main meal not cooked well, desert was frozen solid very hard to cut into with it flying across the table. Will not be back for Christmas meal

Great food at a reasonable price in comfortable surroundings and conveniently located near the motorway. A real gem of a pub restaurant.

I go to bobbin couple of times a week. Brad and Claire do a fantastic job along with their competent staff. Some of the staff are only young but very good at their job. Ruby and Codie particularly have always been really friendly towards me from first day I went in. Sometimes I have carvery and sometimes a meal from the menu and it's always been spot on. Fab team altogether.

We have a great experience everytime we visit and I would highly recommend it to family and friends! Staff are always very friendly and helpful and kitchen staff/chef was really knowledgeable about allergens/vegan diet. It's very family friendly and One of the only places in the area we can eat-in for a vegan! I want all the team at the bobbin carrier to know they are doing a great job!

How can you have a carvery when you only have one meat. Staff don’t give a monkeys tool my money and never told us that had no meat absolute joke of place very poor quality I will be telling any one with ears don’t come here £50 odd rip off AVOID

Mya the barmaid is so polite. She used her manners, she asked how my day was, she had a wide smile on her face which didn’t change for the duration of her serving us. 10/10 would recommend

Hired a room there for a funeral, decent service and food

£3.90 for a pint of Pepsi Max. Barmaid has no sense of humour when I said sorry just 1 pint!

Felt I needed to write a review to commend the great customer service I experienced today. I was in Cleckheaton for work and had a 3-hour gap between meetings. I went in to the Bobbin Carrier to kill some time and eat my tea. The lovely lady behind the bar welcomed me in and said I could sit anywhere. She explained I could come back to the bar to order or use a QR code to order to the table. I asked if there was a table near to a plug socket so I could plug my laptop in, if she was okay with that. She found me a table right by a plug and even unplugged some Christmas lights so I could use it! The process of ordering food via the app was straightforward, and the same lady delivered everything to my table. She even brought me a choice of glasses for the bottled drink I'd ordered. The vegan nachos I ordered were well presented (see pic attached, sorry it's not that clear). As was the cup of tea, which came in a pot. It's a dog-friendly pub. I would have given 5 stars for customer service. Downgraded to 4 stars as I thought my nachos weren't good value for money. Also the atmosphere was poor - the place is huge but there weren't many people there. Great for working, but not great for a social occasion. I'd definitely go back as I felt so well looked after.

Went in today (Sunday) looking for some pub grub, heard lots of great things about the place so was excited to try. Walked in and instead of a friendly greeting and seating we were told to walk around the corner to grab our own kids menus. After seating we looked through the menu and ordered. The lady on the till was lovely, a couple orders had adjustments (no sauce/salad) and this didn’t seem to be an issue, £60 later the order was placed. Food came out very quick, the lady bringing them practically threw the plates at us, the nacho sharer with extra pulled pork was lovely but definitely not worth the £13-14 pound, the hunters chicken was dry and had very little barbecue, the ultimate southern fried burger had to be sent back as we requested it with no bbq and it was covered in it, when it came back out it was dry, dense and flavourless with very minimal bacon for the price. The young one had little complaints with his meal, the chicken wings were good and the cheeseburger came out plain like we asked it although did look tough. Didn’t even bother with deserts and went to the Greggs across the road, cheaper and alot nicer

All the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was served by a lovely friendly guy and all the food was hot and fresh. I was with a lady who I support and i loved that the staff-spoke directly to her and not to me. This does not happen often and when it does it is really noticed so id like to thank them all for this and hope they always keep up the amazing work.

Little gem of the place hidden just by M62 near Cleckheaton. Great pub with great choice of drinks by bar. Food is delicious.

Friendly staff great atmosphere

For a chain pub, the food is absolutely amazing. All the meat was cooked to perfection, the chips are to die for. By far the best mixed grill I’ve had. The staff were extremely friendly too and wait time for food was very short for a Friday. Absolutely will come back here

Had an amazing meal here on Friday night,the food was good and plenty of it the cakes are amazing 😍. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were polite and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend and noticed they even have a children's area so will definitely be back with my grandson 😀

Amazing food, reasonable prices, and super friendly staff – I’ve never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend, 10/10!

Had 2 visits in as many weeks. First visit had a lovely area cornered off so that we could have drinks and nibbles with a large group of friends and family. This was never requested but was such a lovely thought from Bradley and his team. Second visit a week later 10 of us had food and everyone commented on how they’d enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Special mention must go to Claire for going above and beyond with the service with a smile.

Service and the staff were exceptionally good, really friendly, and welcoming . The food was OK on the carvery could have been a little warmer if I'm being picky, and I thought quite expensive for one course when other places are 2 courses for a similar price.

Always a warm welcome and good food

We collected a TooGoodToGo bag from here and the customer service was appalling. The guy who completed our order was very rude and told me to chill out? weird interaction and somewhere I won’t be going again.

Staff were very friendly. Carvery was nice and decent portions. Dog friendly and a dog station with water and treats was a nice touch! Only downsides were the table was a bit sticky and there were not enough knives and forks. But otherwise a nice experience and a good place to catch up with family on their journey past on the M62.

Good menu selection, very nice food and good service. Recommended.

First time visitors and will definitely be back. Was shown to our table promptly and was looked after from start to finish. I went for the carvery and my husband got the fish n chips. The food was plentiful well cooked and hot, a good selection of drinks and great value for money. Thanks to Beth who made sure we were well look after and was courteous throughout our visit. Friendly and efficient service f I’m all staff and Ellie in particular. Dog friendly with a menu for the pooches as well as a water station and treats. Ordered Ultimate spicy beef burger. It was delicious, juicy with a little heat, fries were hot. Decent burger for a pub menu. Nice atmosphere, not mega busy so enjoyable!

Good front of house but the Kebab wasn’t very nice and the other meals around the table were just ok

We came in yesterday and we got a carvery it was amazing and the service Ellie gave us was amazing she was very efficient and very friendly will definitely be coming back here. 100% recommend!!!

Came a few weeks ago, with my nan. The food was lovely, and we was taken care of by Isabel and Sienna , lovely young girls !!

Staying over the road for business for 2 weeks. Food was pretty decent but the barman asked if my drink was finished to which i replied it wasn't, he wait for the reply and stuck his dirty fingers in the glass. I told him he might as well take it now, didn't even offer a replacement. Won't be going back or recommending it to colleagues.

Went up for my birthday meal . Lovely clean place with friendly staff. Carvery was very tasty but they also had full menu available, not just Sunday dinner. Reasonable prices. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be going again. Keep up the good work guys

Booked for a family meal on Sunday, we was greeted my a friendly member of staff and shown to our table. Everything was explained to us on how to order and what was available. Was great for our party as we all didn't fancy the carvery. 4 out of 6 had carvery which was very tasty, nice and hot as it should be. The best part was the melt in your mouth meats and the creamy potatoes. My LG had off the kids menu which I thought was very good value for money and plenty to choose from. Thank you to Bradley and the team for giving us a great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back 😀

We were promptly seated and provided with a highchair (that actually worked with working waist clips, which is seemingly rare in pubs). The food was great and my sister who is vegan loved the chilli and had to ask if the sour cream was actually vegan - which it was. I got the mega mix grill and it took me and our dog to finish it. Great food and lovely service. Thanks to Sienna and Beth for looking after our table!

The service wasn’t very good it was very quiet when we visited we ordered our food got our starters we finshed them and they brought out the mains but didn’t even clear the dishes from the starters they brought out half of our party’s food and 10 minutes later we were still waiting for the rest of the food we had to go to the bar and ask someone when they did eventually bring out the rest of the food we had to find some again to ask for the correct culture.

Great place food was good great sevice

After having left another venue due to poor customer service and waiting over an hour to be seated with a hangry toddler we arrived and the moment we walked in we were greeted by a member of the team and seated straight away, we ordered using the QR code on the table and our drinks were served very quickly, we were provided with our carvery tickets and shortly afterwards our toddlers food arrived piping hot, the food was delicious and it was a very pleasant experience for myself and my family. We would definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Amazing place. Come in quite regularly but tonight has been exceptional! The staff were absolutely top dollar, checking in and making sure that our night was going well, they even hunted down some candles for my daughters birthday. Cannot thank you enough for making my daughters night 1 to remember. Will always recommend this place. Keep up the good work guys! The foods great aswell but the servers make it well worth while.

The Food was lovely on our visits and the Staff are all great and very friendly. The Carvery is great and the menu is fab your are spoilt for choice. Over the month I have visited a few times and they have some good things going on the bingo on a Tuesday afternoon and the Quiz on a weds night are always fun. Bobbin Carrier is great and highly Recommend a visit. Xx

Really enjoyed the food, if I have a criticism it would be the Yorkshire pudding was very crispy been left under the light to long, but the meat and veg were beautiful.

Carvery lovely however the gap between us getting the carvery and others who ordered from the main menu was too long. Also it’s 29/924 and there was Christmas music and Santa hats and signs!!! MUCH TOO SOON!!

Woeful... Disappointed yo say the least. Didn't seem overly busy 5pm Sunday evening but after waiting 45 minutes for food ( I asked at the bar where My food was ) I was presented with burnt offerings. Cowboy burger on chard buns and cold fries.. Mixed grill , the chicken breast half ( frozen chicken portions) burnt on one side but presented with the un burnt side up like I wouldn't notice ha. Steak like shoe leather... the frozen peas were spot on ha.. left our food got a refund paid for our drinks, it did seem the staff refund on a regular basis no questions asked. I'd give it a miss loads of decent pubs out there with better standards....

Polite friendly staff , food nice , feel welcome

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Isabel and George looked after us throughout our stay. Nothing was too much, making our time here a pleasant one. The food was lovely - we were given a few minutes notice of when one of the dishes was served so that I could collect my carvery and eat at the same time. Will definitely be back!

Used to like coming here but food has gotten bland. Hunters chicken was dry, and hardly any sauce on it and couldn't taste the cheese and bacon. Don't think I will be visiting again.

Fantastic pub the whole family catered for, staff ,service,food and drink all top notch ,we will becoming back and bring our dog would be very nice to sit in garden and enjoy the sunshine We all had carvery four large plates all the food was fresh and tasty kids even went back for more veg ,drinks where good price and cold . Even tho it was busy the staff came round to see if all was OK and cleared the tables meet and greating every customer that came in .

Had food at the cleckheaton Bobbin carrier, food was amazing and caught up with the chef after her shift ‘Caz’ who was very professional and amazing at her job! Very impressed!

Nice place lovely people, but the food needs work. Sauces arrived after food wad eaten, tastes like it's been left under the hot plate after being over cooked.

Nice, not too busy, friendly staff. The food tasted good (Sunday carvery) but there wasn't a great amount available.

Budget pub with decent food and good service,the wine is quite expensive though !
