7 of us went for a Christmas meal. As soon as we sat down it seemed they were rushing us to order then to clear away our starters, rushing our main and clearing away. We felt rushed and we were unable to enjoy the night. Even had a member of staff telling us they needed our table after only being there hour and fifteen minutes. I don't very often write bad reviews but it spoilt our night.

We went to the Blue Ginger for an early Christmas celebration. It was really nicely decorated with cosy lighting. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Our waiter Juwel was excellent and the combination of great food and good service meant we all had an enjoyable evening.

Great quality food, speedy service and it's good you can bring your own drinks so won't be an expensive night out with friends/family.

Out for a meal on a work trip so had no prior knowledge of the establishment. Staff were very polite and the food was delicious and full of flavour.

Just had a Blue ginger takeaway after living less than a minute away for the last 3 years and had never tried it Absolutely blown away, fantastic meal we all really enjoyed it and will be back again and again, extremely tasty you can tell they put there love and skills into their dishes The online ordering and collection process is so simple, no wait at all Cannot recommend blue ginger highly enough.

Delivery was on time and food was fantastic. Let down by the driver phoning and telling us to come out to collect.

Love this place, so lucky to live close to this restaurant. We come here with our unruly toddlers and the staff are always so friendly 🙏 The curries are EXCEPTIONAL, best curries I've had. Totally recommend the Pathia, Madras, their Bombay potatoes, I always order food to takeaway when we go out here and the takeaway portions are fantastic!

Fabulous food. Sea Bass Curry and honey chicken were our first time try. And both were delicious. Also had tikka masala, pasanda & saag which were the usual excellent dishes. Our two waiters were happy and fun. Both of which couldn’t be better. Sadly we only took one name (Maman). With the added bonus of BYO drinks, the bill was really reasonable. This was our first visit, and We will definitely be back very soon.

Rice came very watery, both curries weren’t closed properly meaning they had exploded all over the bag in delivery. Chicken tikka barely had any flavour. Very disappointing as this is normally our go to curry house and was not up to usual standard

Once again another lovely meal, the food is superb, very tasty and generous portions. Juwel and the team are so friendly and helpful. We have been coming here for many years and have never had a bad meal. A big thanks to all of you and we will see you again very soon.

This is a very friendly Indian Restaurant which is BYO to help to keep costs down and I have never failed to enjoy the curries. Their standard curries are all great and they have a tasty range of specials. It has parking outside or in nearby streets. The staff are so very friendly and attentive.

This place is amazing excellent food excellent service can’t do enough for you only had takeout in the past but now we just love the place since eating in, Juwel and the rest of the team are fab keep up the good work 👍🏼

We visited with some friends. A lovely venue. Staff very friendly and efficient. We felt we got special treatment. The food was tasty and well presented. In all, the restaurent was very professional in every aspect.

Lamb was really good, naan and popadoms were excellent. Curries were interesting flavours. One rice was missing, chicken was overdone. Was hard to distinguish curries as only one was labeled.

We held our family member's birthday gathering here. The staff are great in helping us with arrangements , choosing certain dishes, helpful and friendly. The dishes we chose were full of flavour. I would highly recommend this place.

very disappointed the ingredients was over powering where unable to eat I work In this area and watch how the dishes are cooked and to what I received it's all been put in with no care I'm advising not to order iv dinned at this restaurant iv never had this service in my past it's very off putting I hope the management can explain why this issue as happened waste of money

We came to England from our home near Paris and visited friends in Bristol who told us about this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Jewel, our waiter, was particularly charming and attentive, and the food was really tasty and piping hot. We highly recommend the Blue Ginger. Jacques and Katie from France

Brilliant place with good quality food

Food quality is so poor! Very disappointing no taste and so bland. How can you an Indian restaurant go wrong with egg fried rice and a chicken korma!!

Curries not great, ordered a vindaloo and it was flavourless and just had lots of chilli powder added to it. Very disappointing and far more expensive other curries available locally that are delicious.

Delivered on time but all our 3 meals were extremely bland. They were slightly more expensive then other Indian take aways as well which makes its more frustrating.

A quiet meal on a Friday night (NOT). This place was absolutely packed with everyone appearing to be having fun and certainly making a noise. Food was pretty good. BYO as far as booze is concerned (shops nearby). Mistake made with one of the dishes (not sure who made the mistake, it could have been me), however, all sorted out rapidly and without fuss. The staff were really chatty and friendly (just difficult to hear over all the other dinners).

Drove by this place so many times and always wanted to try it. It was early evening and we was lucky enough to get a table. Food was stunning and service was really good, lovely friendly staff.

Just had chicken vindaloo x2 delivered from uber eats absolutely disgusting no flavour tastes like spicy water and pickle tray all dried up I'm not sure what has happened to the once lovely food that they used to serve but one thing for sure I will not be using them again

Used to be lovely food but standards have slipped. Salmon tikka starter, only 2 pieces of salmon as per picture(and no flavour) onion bhaji starter was smaller and the bhaji dry and overcooked. I have been trying dishes from the Appetisers section for a change but they bear no resemblance to the descriptions, in fact 2 of the dishes came with identical sauces, and the portions have got smaller too (whole portion shown in container) Used to be really good there but the chicken chaat starter is the only decent thing now.

Been here a few times since moving to the area. Really good food and the service is second to none , we had Anu who couldn’t have looked after us better! Food is very reasonable and with free corkage makes for a lovely but affordable night out!

Booked a table of 4 which was fine, we sat down and ordered our food with a little wait but nothing silly. Food came out within a good time also. They did miss a few items off the order, and we weren’t given any napkins but again not a huge deal. The main issue for us was the sheer noise and activity in the restaurant. Large groups screaming and shouting, singing and walking around interacting with other table just trying to eat their meals. Food good, atmosphere like a house party.

Went on a Tuesday evening at 9pm and it was very quiet, so service was quick and the food came out fast. It's bring your own booze, there's a little shop just round the corner you can get some from. Lovely food, only slight issue was one of the naan was ever so slightly burnt but it didn't take away from the rest of the food. Parking was a bit of a pain, but as we went late parking outside was fine, so something to be aware of.

Our favourite Indian in Bristol, staff are so lovely and friendly, we've found most other Indian restaurants have quite rude staff and sooo slow service which is why we always come here as you don't get that! The honey chicken curry is amazing and they always accommodate our requests (adding things on or tweeking dishes). Bring your own drink too which is a massive bonus

It was not as good as we thought it would be. Was ok, hence the 3 stars. We will try them again. Had Lamb Rogan Josh (will pay for more Lamb next time) and Chicken Balti. For medium curries, they were very mild to us. The reason you eat curry is of the flavour and spice, right? Value for money......... nearly £40. Then No.

After waiting till 20:26 we decided to leave due to no one acknowledging us or taking a drink order or even bringing us glasses or cutlery. When leaving we were stopped by server who asked why we were leaving, we explained for a reply of “you ain’t been here since 20:00” and it’s bring your own “so don’t need glasses” it was shocking and server was cocky and arrogant. Avoid at all costs don’t skimp on costa and go to paprika!

I think they give burn food only indian people....and its always happen with me..burn and sweet vegetables dishes..
