Came here at 14:00 on August 26. Ordered 2 drinks , 1 hot, 1 cold and a toastie. Waited 20 mins for the drinks and then the toastie didnt turn by 14:30 so we asked a refund. Dont go and waste your time people!

Awful place. The coffee tasted weak and watery. I ordered a hot chocolate for my son and the milk was clearly sour. The staff made another one and the milk was still sour. When I returned it I was told that I must be mistaken and that they hadn’t received any other complaints. The staff then told me that maybe it was the taste of the chocolate itself. I found this patronising. Interestingly the family next to us left a hot chocolate untouched as the child said it tasted funny. The waffles took 25 minutes to arrive and were cold, greasy and tough. Really bad and disappointing.

AWFUL...CHAOTIC. You have to order via a touch screen... We tried to order at counter but we're told it's quicker by the machine. What a joke! This system does NOT work... Order came in dribs and drabs. Cold croissant, vegetarian Sausage bap was disgusting, lukewarm coffee in takeaway cup when we had ordered ceramic. No receipt option. Absolutely appalling. Would give it no stars if I could. Would never recommend.

First time using a black sheep coffee shop. Touchscreen ordering only. No receipt issued and no receipt option button on the touchscreen.? Went to use the toilet which has a keypad lock. Message says for paying customer use only, which is fair enough, but then says use code on receipt to open door. As said there is no way of getting a receipt so therefore you can’t use the toilet. Utter genius!!!!! What a stupid system. We weren’t the only customers caught out by this so it wasn’t an error on our part we didn’t get a receipt, they simply don’t issue them on their touchscreen only ordering system. By the way only 2 out of 5 for the coffees , won’t go back

Incredibly arrogant and condescending staff. I get that life might not be great for them but they seem to think they are doing people a favour by serving them. This is especially true of the tall gentleman who served me on the 4th April. The coffee is actually fantastic and the area was clean with good music playing. Would go again if I knew that they had at least average staff.

20 minute wait for two coffees, £9.97, mid afternoon Saturday 16th December. This was our second visit to Black Sheep after a similar experience before, gave them the benefit of the doubt. Staff seemed nonchalant and no apology for the wait. Nice coffee in the end.

By far the best atmosphere for a coffee shop in Guildford . Staff are all lovely and friendly every time i’ve been in ,especially Sha today. Also best coffee in guildford .

Poor service, bad attitude, overpriced. We ordered smoothies by following the remote system instructions and paid £12.18 for two smoothies! Our order came up on the board which says orders are being prepared. We didn’t think it would take too long because there was only one number before us. In the end we waited half an hour. We would have asked for a refund but every time I went to the counter, I was told the order was seconds away. When I asked why it took so long, I was told they were short staffed. That did not explain why customers who came in after us had received their drinks first and had left the cafe by the time we received our very small £6.00 smoothies. We will not be going back.

Firstly using the screens are laborious and slow. This is followed by the 4-5 staff behind the bar doing nothing while orders are showing up on the screen. The service was slow and apathetic, and for the price of the mediocre drinks they should be serving it silver trays. Its the second time Ive been in and the first time was the same experience but i thought we'd give it another go. It wasn't busy, so to see staff members milling about and being lethargic, isn't a good experience for the customer in any retail environment.

Had lunch here with a friend. Absolutely mobbed at lunchtime, but fairly speedy table churn so after waiting a short while we got a decent table. Coffee is really nice, better than most of the other chains (although the price reflects this). The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help and explain. Only letdown was the all-day breakfast wrap, which was not great and I wouldn't have again.

We tried this coffee shop in December around lunch time was busy, my friend had a cappuccino and croissant and I had a chai latte, both were really nice but took a bite of time to served the drinks.

A newly opened coffee shop conveniently located near the high street, main shopping centre and bus station. Order on a tablet service and decent coffee. A selection of seating. Not particularly wheel chair or buggy accessible as it’s narrow and quite crowded with tables.

Lovely Staff. Great coffee. Nice to have a variety of roasts too, especially a proper decaf option which makes a nice change from the ‘pods’ used by chain cafes. Reasonably priced and a great vibe inside. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a coffee snob like me :)

Just popped in to try it out. You have to order from a touch screen. The screens were slow and clunky and won’t let you go back. I gave up in the end. The gormless crew behind the counter couldn’t have been more disinterested. Left, crossed the road to Nero, got a decent coffee from an engaged human being. That’s the solution from now on.

A very cosy spot, with quick, polite and smiley service, the wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and the salt beef bagel was excellent. I can't recommend this coffee shop enough.

I just pop in for 2 coffees and a porridge and the lady with red hair has been very rude. She put cold milk in my porridge after I specified at the till that i want hot milk. She express her frustration after i confront her saying that i should ask for hot milk next time twice.

We were in Ripley to visit a family member and popped in to the Half Moon for a quick en route. Well priced beer, good environment, and more to the point a proper friendly landlord and landlady. Wish we had a pub like this nearer to where we live, would never be out of the place. Would most certainly return if we were ever to be back in Ripley.

The coffee was good but I had to wait at least 20 mins for it after they had given my latte to someone else. I had to speak to a rather grumpy waiter about three times to get him to eventually bring my latte. When I complained I was told it was my fault as I had moved tables. I had but I was still very close by and only to comply with the cafe's request that our running group should be in a particular area as we also had a walking group with dogs. Watching everyone receive their coffee when these people had ordered theirs a long time after me was not a great experience. I raised the matter in a polite way at the end but nobody was prepared to offer an apology.

Food awful. Shall never eat here again. We have been dining here pre-show from the days when it was a proper restaurant. Now it is 'a cafe' but the standard has fallen disastrously, even for cafe food. This week was the 2nd time in 3 visits when we have been unable to eat our food - overcooked ready food, dried up, hard and visibly burnt. I don't know how any self respecting cafe would put food that is so obviously dried up and burnt, in front of a paying customer. Complaint was met with a refund and a smirk from manager. Not an inspiring response.

I have always used Greggs for years but only for their hot sausage rolls. I saw that the Guildford Greggs had changed a lot last time I went in and sadly one bite of my sausage roll confirmed that, like everything else in the UK, it has finally hit rock bottom. The taste was SO BAD AND DIIFERENT that I spat it out and threw away the rest ( in a bin). The pastry was awful and that certainly was not pork inside!!! Goodbye Greg's, you are now really dreadful.
