I went to the Black Prince to have dinner and to see counterfeit George Michael, my wife go about every 3 weeks and always found food extremely good value. However this time the portions size seemed to have gone down by third my fish and chips I counted about 12 chips there was 4 in our party and every body commented on the size of portion of food. And I as noticed a lot of the dishes had gone up in price?

The girls and guy at the the Black Prince are putting in an amazing effort and commitment in these unusual times. Looking after their customers and keeping us all safe.

I recently visited The Black Prince in New Haw and had a delightful experience. The food was both delicious and affordable, making it a great value for money. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant visit. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available, but don’t forget to enter your number plate into the pub’s parking screen to avoid any issues. Overall, a fantastic place to dine and relax!

Recently been coming here a lot with my girlfriend as we live nearby. Lovely atmosphere and the amazing the staff: Loraine, Megan, Gracie and Paige always go above and beyond To ensure we have the best experience possible. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is very nice I would recommend the chicken burger or the salt and pepper chilli chicken.

My friend Janet and I chose a 3 course meal for 7.99 off the Senior Menu and both felt completely satisfied in every way including having eaten easily enough to feel full up

Have been here a few times, good food, good beer, however it was annoying when once we were hungry, wanted to eat, and were told that they have too many orders so they can't take any more. This was like 1 hour before the kitchen officially closed.

Awful experience. Waited over an hour for food. My Hunters chicken had no cheese and the sauce had dried to a cinder. I did get another one which was so bland. All other meals were very mediocre. We did get free desserts. The manageress was very apologetic, apparently there was only one person in the kitchen. On a Saturday!!!! I’ve been to several Green King pubs and have always been very happy with the food but sadly not this time

I popped into the black Prince this weekend, couldn’t wait to try the new menu. I have the 3 small plates for £15. So good that the topped fries are included in this deal. Also the new chicken flatbread, cooked to perfection. The flavours are really great. Good selection of beers, just need a little bit of sunshine for the beautiful beer garden. I’ll be booking another table for the euros, as recommended by the friendly bar staff.

Lovely staff, they've always been warm and welcoming. Food arrives fast and hot. Good drinks selection despite removing Estrella. Quizmaster Dangerous Dave is perhaps a little too dangerous.

Saw the balloons outside so popped in, new menu being promoted, had the Tex Mex sharer which was great value and had bags of flavour in each dish

I am regular visitor of Black Prince and not once I have left disappointed. Staff is very friendly and service is fast. Food is way better than other pub chains. Also they have very cosy beer garden.

I would highly recommend this pub, I took my family for a Sunday roast and it was amazing. The service we received was very attentive, the food came out in a timely manner and was hot which is a key factor for me. We will definitely go again.

We popped into this pub on Sunday my husband had the triple burger which was lovely unfortunately I did not choose this and I picked the Sunday roast I chose turkey as I’m not keen on beef and all I can say was it was awful (processed turkey that was so wet and disgusting, the roast potatoes were frozen ones and like bullets! the stuffing was the size of an oxo cube and really wasn’t very nice either, one piece of frozen broccoli too. This cost just under £15!! To say I wasn’t impressed is an understatement! I will not be returning!!

Nice pub, Down from Glasgow to visit my son and daughter in law and popped in Saturday late afternoon. Nice vibe and ale. Prices very reasonable - we'll be back.

Popped in today with my 3 friends. 1 ordered fish and chips. 1 ordered hunters chicken. 2 ordered jacket potato. Was told there was a 30 min wait for food. That was fine. My hunters chicken came out along with my friends fish and chips. We had finished ours and my 2 other friends were still waiting for there jacket potato. After an hour there potatoes came out after a couple of enquiries. Stone cold. 2 other tables around all full were also complaining about food being cold or having to wait. My friend ate hers because she was hungry but the other told the waitress it was cold. She brought it back and put it in the microwave. It was hot the second time but completely dry. We go there once a month. Majority of times food and service good. But unfortunately not today.

Staff were absolutely brilliant and professional, Food was Stunning. My wife loved the 80's music that was being played... definitely 100% Recommended

Had a lovely vegan super salad served by a lovely smiley lady ..one criticism..would have liked a dressing of some sort even a splash of olive oil (which I did ask for) ..hopefully they will take note for our next visit . All staff extremely friendly

Really nice and friendly bar staff, lovely clean welcoming old school boozer, dog friendly, sports on big TV , great value for money food, kids menu and great beer and cider, what else do you need, just a shame that most of the pubs like this are dying a death

Lovely food very nice staff shame almost every table has a reserved sign on it forcing an 88 year old woman to climb up to sit on a chair. When this place isn't busy it's a wonderful place to visit.

It’s an ok pub overall but if you’re not a regular, expect to be treated as second best. On the two occasions I’ve been here, I’ve been ignored at the bar so they could serve there friends. They once served a person standing behind me when I was at the very front of the bar. They knew them by name so it was obvious what was happening. If it’s quiet, pop in and have a relaxed drink on the garden. If not, probably best to give it a miss.

Greeting was very poor when we arrived and food service was VERY slow... taking over 40 minutes at a relatively quiet time of day!

What a wonderful lunch at the Black Prince. Such happy, helpful and friendly staff. I am on holiday here from Australia, I ordered the vegetarian burger, and have never tasted anything like it before ..... utterly delicious.

Lots of room to sit both inside and outside. The beer garden has an undercover section for when it rains and there are televisions discretely showing football etc in both the garden and inside of the pub. The array of ales, beers and spirits is decent, the food is typical pub grub but extremely good for the money with a wide selection to choose from. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and on the ball when it comes to serving or cleaning tables, and this has now become my local even though there are other pubs closer to me.

The Black Prince is a warm and friendly pub, the atmosphere is great and the entertainment they have suits all ages. The staff are amazing and work so hard to give the best customer service. I would highly recommend this pub for a night out or even to use as a venue for a function.

We had an unexpected opportunity to enjoy a meal here. Lorraine and Lucy we're very welcoming, our lovely waitress was very pleasant and helpful, the meal was excellent, beautifully cooked and served and at a very reasonable price. The ambiance of the dining area is very good. We couldn't fault anything, thoroughly recommend it.

It's a good pub with a great selection of beers. The outside seating area is nice and big and includes a covered area with a TV showing sports. Inside there is a large seated area with screens showing sports and great bar staff.

It's a pub, it's local, probably the best one locally. Fine for families during the day, good for the football games, a nice all rounder. Monday night quiz night is fun.

Lovely meal great atmosphere loads of sports on the many TV.s. Paige and staff were very helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. Will definitely be coming back.

Was all good with good food. Only bad thing was they removed my son's plate while food was still on it when he went to the toilet and said that it was thrown out and nothing they could do. They did not ask the other kids at the table if the food was done.
