Bismillah Medina Takeaway in Kirklees

I’ve had several excellent takeaways from B Medina in the past, but the quality has gone downhill of late. The mixed starters in my latest order were overcooked and tasted as if they’d been kept under a heat lamp for hours. The bhajis were revolting - very heavy and doughy on the inside and way too dry on the outside. The samosas were similarly dry and unpleasant and the shami kebab was rubbery. The lamb rogan josh and chicken special curry made up for the awful starters to some extent, but probably the nicest part of the takeaway this time around were the chips. It’s irritating that B Medina charges an additional 50p to pay by cash - doesn’t make sense.

We love Indian food, this is by far the worst Indian we have eaten!! Throw most of it away!! The potatoes (Bombay)looked like the cheap potatoes that you buy in tins!!

Missed part of our order and then hung up on us 3 times when trying to sort it out, despite us having paid for it already. Unacceptable service, won't be ordering from here again.

Been waiting bare time for just 1 curry?! Said it was gunna be an hour and here we are still waiting for it. Not impressed mate

Normally The Food Is Great .Last-night The Masala Was Nice But The Donner Was Very Dry And Rubbery My Partner Ended Up Putting It In The Bin Just Hope Its A One Off As Like I Say The Food Is Normally Great

This takeaway looks grubby and rundown from outside and is just as bad inside. The place looks dirty and poorly maintained Food quite expensive and poor quality. Their are far better takeaways in the area!

I first started visiting this takeaway when we were expecting out first child. It was one of only a few options in Holmfirth. That was 15 years ago. It is still there when there are plenty of other places available. That in itself says a lot about the service and quality of food that you can get. It is excellent and they now deliver too. Tonight I ordered a chicken karahi and a spinach with daal ( that was not even on the menu !) and both were excellent and my tastebuds still have a satisfying sensation. The delivery was also quick. What a bonus. I urge you to give it a try and make up your own mind. Oh and if you stumble across another takeaway with a similar name a few miles away . Ignore the review I left there. I accidentally left that in the wrong place. That's not a reflection of the food there because I haven't tried it.

Food was great as usual. The delivery time was estimated to be 6:45 it actually got delivered at 6:15 so was early. Always happy with the food and service

Kebab very bland. Poppadoms grilled and unappetising. Mint yoghurt fabulous but a very expensive when only able to eat the yoghurt and salad!

The best takeaway in the area. I used to buy from here all the time before I moved out of the area, I'm just back visiting for a few days and the food is as good as ever.

Food tasted better than it looked, the recommendations on the menu are a tad out of date.

Good food however the time was incorrect to what time the food was ready. (Not usually like this.)

Food was very good but you forgot an order of mint sauce I paid for and didn't provide one for the mix starter ordered.

Once again the food was spot on, and ready on time. The staff were friendly and we will certainly be ordering again soon.

Food was delivered at the time they said it would be. Huge portions, very tasty great value for money. Mixed starter is enormous, chapattis and naan bread were soft and tasty

For the 3rd time we had a problem with our order, items missing again. The take away delivered them but it was too late as we had already eaten our curry. Very disappointing 😫

Best curry we had in a long time

Truly lovely and tasty meal, however, slightly dismayed to see that they're now using 'shop bought' poppadoms, wish they'd go back to their old supplier as the ones they're currently using are cheap and pretty low standard. Apart from that, great. Oh, almost forgot, they didn't include the little salad that was advertised.

No complaints at all, food arrived earlier than expected, was piping hot and tasted delicious. Excellent value for money, you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy a decent, tasty curry.

The delivery was quite late but still nice and hot, a couple of salad items missed from order too. The curry was very good indeed, really enjoyed it.

I have been going to this takeaway for years and will continue to do so. If you like a hot curry then the madras or vindaloo is for you. These are the curries I choose, I have been eating curries for over 20 years and never had better. The Bombay potato is excellent and also the chicken pakoras when eaten fresh. I could go on as I have tried most things on the menu. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Delivered on time, first order from here and it was brill! Flavours were really good not too hot but got enough, fresh and cooked really well! Really good naan bread plus got a couple of poppadums in too!! Would highly recommend!
