Best food I have had in a while the lamb and chicken was doing the wee woo wee woo dishkyaw dishkyaw would totally recommend. On top of that the waiter called huzaifa was very friendly he offered to sing a song but my girlfriend keya politely refused but I appreciated the gesture. However on the way home I got a ticket fine from trainline which put the experience down the level but regardless of that downfall the food was the best part. ASHS ON TOP

Possibly the worst Indian food I’ve had in a long time, greasy, had 3 dishes but all seemed to taste identical including a dhal, if you like good Indian food this isn’t the place for you.

Ordered befor but never a problem. Today food arrived clap cold so Phoned n they blamed driver! But no solution offered! Had to warm up as cold but half way through eating had biggest trots ever. Part of food was dry as a bone when arrived, and chips was crispy n dry! Also ordered to be spicy! Iv had spicier kormas than what was on the specials as been highly recommended on menus? Never again!

We first visited this Resturant when my family came to visit and they wanted to try somewhere local we could walk to with the “bring your own alcohol” aspect. Ash’s did not disappoint the food was great and so was the service and all for a great price. Since then we have ordered takeaways from here too with just the same quality. Keep up the fantastic work.

Food is always great! I just wish they would change the lighting for the restaurant as it puts us off going. It feels very sterile and would benefit from some warm white bulbs and coloured lightshades maybe. It has loads of potential.

Lived in Hemsworth for nearly 4 years. We pass it every time to go to Wakefield for our curry at lalas but I can honestly say this is the best curry I have tasted. Im a bit of a prude when ot comes to spicy but this was the taste I've been waiting for. Very friendly, very quaint and the staff are so nice. Would highly recommend 👌

Probably the best Indian I have ever been to. The staff are absolutely wonderful and helpful and kind. It's amazing as both a takeaway and a sit-in restaurant. Highly recommend eating here no matter what your preferences are, they can cater to you for anything and everything! I can shout their praises enough!

Best Indian for miles. Excellent food, very clean , good prices. Can take your own drink and Card payments are accepted. Very nice staff who cant do enough to make your meal perfect. Very covid safe. Wont be eating indian anywhere else anytime soon🥘🌶👌

Ash's has excellent food! Ash is accommodating, with excellent communication skills, and brilliant skills in serving customers. Premises is covid safe. Food is varied and reasonably priced, considering the quality of food, which is fantastic. You can take your own Drink, which is also a bonus. Nothing is no trouble and customers are really cared for with polite manners and good humour. Thank you.

Naz and his team are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The quality and flavours of the food is always top draw. We would not hesitate to recommend either eating in or takeaway.

The restaurant was quite as we went early, but take away service was very busy, yet the service and food was superb and will re-visit.

just received a delivery from ashs balti after just compeating a 12 hour shift the bhuna I ordered is like water and has no taste to it at all rang them to make then aware and they advised there was nothing they could do and said was its saucy I understand curry is ment to have sauce but it's not ment to be watery and have no taste at all just soked into the chips it was very disappointing

Called at 10pm last night on our way home from a theatre trip, tucked away next to a garage - the BEST indian meal we have had in a very long time, absolutely excellent !

The main dishes where great but the side dishes left a lot to be desired. The garlic chapatis where greasy and the naan’s where cold and doughy. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and was very cold. The service was very scarce but when the waiter was there it was great.

The premises are pretty basic, non pretensious and not overly huge, however the service was great and the food even better. I will definitely go back. This is a bring your own alcohol restaurant but the atmosphere when I went was very good

Worst curry ever, don't know how it keeps going. Food was abysmal. Every dish looked the same. The only positive I can give it, was a quite a big portion. A terrible experience.

I have been using this restaurant and takeaway for about 4 years and I am sad to say it has gone very downhill. We used to order a takeout or visit the restaurant every 6-8 weeks but in the last 12-18 months we have only order 3-4 times and It will be a while before I do again. The spinach and paneer curry and daal my wife ordered was swimming in grease and pretty bland, rice seemed to have been warmed up and not fresh and the bread was doughy and greasy. Such a shame from a place where the food used to be so nice.

very small restaurant, very nice and clean. lovely helpful staff. Disabled access. The food is amazing, nothing is to much trouble , they will make it just how you like it. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu ( pannier madras) it was made to perfection. just take your own alcohol. fabulous

We love this restaurant and have never been disappointed with the food, just wish it was within walking distance as you can take your own wine and beer.

Poppadoms and chutneys started the meal off well. Chicken curry and veggie curry were both very good, full of flavour. Plain boiled rice and naan just right. This unlicensed restaurant offers great service, good food and good value for money.

Been having takeaways from here for years so knew what to expect but visited with friends on spur of the moment. We knew it was late but thought we'd ask anyway & even though it was after 10 were genuinely welcomed! We had shared mixed starters followed by mains which one of us designed our own, there was loads of meat & all of us were highly impressed. One of our friends is hard to please & I can say it's the only time EVER I've heard him say he enjoyed his food rather than it was alright!!! Service was excellent & the waiter has excellent people skills, we felt valued & will DEFINITELY be visiting again!!

Great authentic Curry's, as well as pizzas and kebabs. We like trying different things off the menu. I'm vegetarian so well catered for.

Yo he visitado este restaurante en persona y utilizado su servicio para llevar, que ambos son de un buen servicio al cliente como yo. La comida dentro del menú es vaired, curry, comidas chisporroteantes, todo lo que se puede esperar de un restaurante indio. Nunca hemos tenido un problema con cualquiera de los platos del menú, como en mi opinión son impresionantemente aromatizada, con el sabor de lo bueno, la carne bien cocinada (especialmente el pescado, especias y aromatizantes es perfecto! )

Tanto despertó se sentía enfermo después de comer algo que no disfrute de la última noche. La primera y la última vez conseguir comida para llevar desde allí me temo! La carne estaba seca como mi boca después de un fin de semana y la cebolla bender Bhajis parecía faltarle la cebolla. Mis socios de curry fue asqueroso y había demasiada ginger.

Decor is awful, food is disgraceful. Almost everything is reheated and the curry all appears the same bright coloured, flavourless slop. There is absolutely nothing fresh about this place. No idea why anyone would wish to eat here.

El personal es siempre muy acogedor y proporcionar un buen servicio. La comida es fantástica y el precio es bueno. Pero Ash, la frente de su establecimiento moderno y acogedor...

Lo primero es lo primero, estoy totalmente impresionado por algunos de los malos comentarios de aquí. He estado yendo a Ash de Balti o tomar distancia de aquí por unos 18 meses y nunca he comido nada que estaba mal. Sí, tantos son mejores que otras, pero la comida es sabrosa, exquisita y deliciosa.

A friend and I turned up on Valentines Day eve without a booking. Even though the restaurant was fully booked the staff arranged for us a table which was nice of them. The food was good and I couldn't believe it when our bill was £21! The staff were extremely friendly and the BYOB perk is a bonus - looking forward to going again.

Id heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived the restaurant was packed however they managed to fit us in and we were served efficiently. The menu was excellent loads of choice and plenty of vegetarian dishes. We skipped starters but had a very generous pickle tray followed by a delicious main. The food was really lovely. We were even more surprised when the bill came very reasonable! This restaurant isn't licensed so we brought out own wine which definitely kept the cost down. All the staff were really friendly and very polite will definitely come again!

we dropped into ashs balti tonight.we assumed that it was due to been 630 on a sunday evening that there was only a table of 3 diners in.we soon realised the reason was due to the state of the restaurant and the worst food we have ever been served.The starters,well what can I say.The bhajis were tiny,dry bits of floury onion which I didn't eat.The chicken pakora were pieces of dry pieces of chicken thigh which had been cooked more than once which were wasted.The mixed kebab also found its way back to the kitchen.The mains ! chicken bhuna,bits of cheap chicken swimming around in a bland gravy,mushroom curry,vile.Chicken dopiaza,as bad as the bhuna.The lemon rice,watery pilau rice,made me gag,the garlic naans tasted like mould.I have never felt so ashamed of wasting so much food,which is a first for me as I can eat anything put in front of me.Save your money and your digestive system and pass by this place which is playing at been an indian restaurant.

Im struggling to understand how to review this establishment without ample usage of expletives.... I have never experienced such tasteless, poor quality food from anywhere in all the years I've spent visiting restaurants. The fact that nobody was in the restaurant when we arrived should have spoken volumes buy we thought we'd persevere and oh what a terrible mistake it was. We were served by a pleasant and friendly man who was running the restaurant by himself, we were presented with the menus of which appeared to be a good variety of food and all seemed good so far. We ordered starters which included shami kebab, onion bhaji, mushroom pakora and chicken pakora. Immediately evident was the shami which clearly had been sat a long time after cooking or reheated and was tough as old boots, all the pakoras were hard and lacked flavour apart from the indistinguishable taste of cheap, bone dry, reheated chicken. Oh I was so looking forward to the mains at this point..... and I wasn't disappointed. Chicken dopizza, bhuna, jalfrezi and a mushroom curry.... well which was which?? All of them were brown congealed mush interspersed with vile chunks of what I believe at one time may have been chicken, apart from the jalfrezi which was a similar consistency of daub used to build mud huts and the colour of decomposing roadkill. Clearly there is no clay oven for the naan breads either as the garlic naan was presented flat and doughy unlike any other Indian restaurant I've ever visited. The flavour of the naan can only be described as bizarre, there was a hint of garlic but also an earthy grass (cannot describe any other way) taste to it The lemon rice was watery and lacked any real character. Overall I think the biggest mistake was in our utter frustration and polite Britishness which led us to simply stand up and actually pay for this mess as we left as quickly as possible. I really regret not telling the young couple who had just arrived to run for the hills instead of letting them torture themselves in the same way. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone other than trading standards and the local hygiene authority (on account of the vile meats and state of the lavatories) time will tell if any of us develop sickness as a result of the tiny morsels we managed....

Food was tasteless, starters over cooked and dry, garlic naan tasted mouldy, chips tasted full of oil. Not a nice experience overall. Will not be returning.

We visited on the 30th December and initially were the only diners. The restaurant was freezing and didn't improve the whole time we were there. Starters were nice and the staff very attentive. However my main course was bland and stew like. I ordered aloo saag but it was just like tinned potatoes with spinach in brown water. Very tasteless, I order this and chicken saag from every restaurant I eat at and its my favourite so I know how it should taste. The naan and rice were poor but the chips were lovely and my father in law loved his fish main. It was all very hot but over all not my favourite dining experience.

First time at your restaurant staff very welcoming, good service, food excellent, the only fault I can say decor needs up dating, the chairs we sat on some had been taped with black masking tape? Maybe split these need replacing, but I would come again, please invest in some new chairs.Thanks Linda.

This is a great, old fashioned style Indian Restaurant, quite basic decor, good sized portions of well cooked food and friendly service. The naan breads are particularly good along with the Chapatis to scoop up your curry. Always a busy take away service buzzing along in the background and the Mango Lassi is great, freshly made and full of flavour. If you want a good old Indian meal without fuss, over priced drinks and trimmings, this in an ideal spot, proper Indian Nosh and good value for money.

Always get a very good service when I eat here, both dining in the restaurant or ordering a take-away. Friendly staff and tasty food. My only complaint is that the 'lamb' dishes on the menu have now been replaced with 'meat' which is a bit ominous...

Visited as part of a group of about 40, in late April. Food was hot and well spiced. Service was swift given the size of our group. Price was good, very affordable. Bring your own drinks is not to everyone's liking but no one in our group minded. Peshwari nan was excellent. Chicken korma was reported as being nice. Service was friendly and attentive, staff very accommodating. Probably not the best choice for a date or intimate meal (IMHO), it's a bit plain and open inside with nothing to specially recommend it.I'd have no issues with going back but there's nothing that particularly draws me to it.Limited parking, but you can park on the street.

This was my favourite Indian years ago but lately it's been dreadful, I know the owners changed over and for a while although it wasn't quite as good it was still nice.....however I ordered food a few month ago that was pretty vile (chicken korma that tasted like the cream was off...sour) and I left the entire plate of food. We have just been again tonight to see if it was a one off, obviously not as yet again I left quite a lot of the food....the chicken korma was very creamy with hardly any taste at all and the meat seemed like processed dog food (small square pieces of chicken). I hate to say also I got the feeling things were not as clean and standards have dropped. Very disappointing....I hope they get a grip of it but we will not be going back.

My partner and I visit Ash's regularly, as we only live a short walk away. Blink and you would miss it, it is a tiny restaurant set back next to the Frog and Moose pub in Ackworth. We have tried several dishes from the menu, never having a complaint about any of them. The food is delicious, always promptly served by such welcoming hosts and friendly waiters. The Garlic Chilli Chicken and Jaipuri sizzler are so tasty. BYOB keeps the cost a little lower as no overpriced drinks are involved. The guys never rush you or want you to move on so they can get another customer in, it's chilled out and a lovely place to eat.

Like the old restaurants in Bradford 20 years ago - little behind the times. But give me the friendly waiter and the warm welcome over an artificial, glitzy experience with waiters who treat you as though they are doing you a favour and look anywhere but at you when taking your order.So, food is good, very inexpensive, take your own alcohol (having grown up in indian restaurants in bradford this is no hardship for me) and did i mention the service is really friendly.So glad I have found a place for decent indian food locally.

The service here is warm and friendly. The menu is quite varied and the food is very good. Very pleasant atmosphere. BYO alcohol so this helps to keep the cost down.

I visited this restaurant regularly when living for a few months in Ackworth which is where it is. The food is always well cooked and service good and one of the few restaurants where you can BYO wine and they even provide wine glasses. It is easy to find on the left on the main A638 just as you enter Ackworth. It is very reasonable especially when you take your own wine.
