What an amazing and fabulous place! So much history. The food is just wonderful, and the service is lovely. In Summer there is a terrace overlooking the river, and in Winter, the cosiness and warmth of this ancient building shine through.

We went last week for afternoon tea, we arrived with a pram, which was no problem. Savourys where lovely, even a cup of homemade soup & followed by cakes & scones , all homemade & delicious. I like them served separately with clean plates. Plenty of fresh tea, a very pleasant couple of hours spent. Didn't feel rushed at all.

We always look forward to our weekly breakfast (& occasional lunch) at Bishop Percys. The 16th Century building has been sympathetically furnished and there is always a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble when a variation to the menu is requested, providing it's in stock. The food is freshly prepared and we can't fault it. The staff are happy and friendly so there is always a pleasant atmosphere where there is a good mixture of locals and visiting tourists. Definitely worth a visit - breakfast, lunch or even a coffee and homemade cake.

Fantastic staff, food, building, cleanliness, choice, seating. Book though, to avoid disappointment as it can get busy. Disappointed with recent visit, did not feel Covid secure. Entrance door was shut meaning everyone needed to use the door knob to gain entry, when door could realistically be left open. No table service, we had to both order and pay at the till, which shocked me. Tables were too close together and staff were half hearted with their mask usage. Exit and one way system was not clearly sign posted and many customers were confused and exited through the entrance. Access to the toilet meant going against the one way system.Full English breakfast was reasonably priced but sadly only average quality. A great shame as it is a beautiful, historic building.

Have been meaning to visit since the opening, and so sad we left it so late( as we’ve been missing out lol) Think this will be one of our new frequenters. We had the chicken tikka wrap and ploughman’s. Both were delicious with well thought out touches and presentation. We will be returning! But this time we will be caking! - as they looked utterly gorgeous.

Just read a review from 3 weeks ago about poor Covid 19 arrangements with a reply it was going to be looked into. Went this week and was disappointed about the apparent lack of concern from the waiting staff, masks off and on apparently at random, off at tables when speaking to customers, on again when standing around. Tables too close together inside (outside better), one way system half-heartedly advertised and adheres to, tables half wiped between customers. Food was very nice, hope the hygiene in the kitchen was better.

Ate at a few places in Bridgnorth which were very nice and loads of little shops etc to keep u busy. Tea rooms below which serve a great bfast. We managed to park every night just around the corner.. i think it was 5.00 for the day 8 till 6pm. All decked out really nicely. Little kitchen if needed, good size twin room, dining/ lounge and main bedroom. Bathroom is large, bath and the shower is nice and powerful.

Always recommended this tea room to visiting friends... Have to agree with review of a week ago...no COVID precautions to speak of... The lavatory floor is still in its pre covid state.. Extremely grubby... A steam clean is desperately needed... No extra space between tables...no mask wearing by the staff... Please sort out these issues urgently. Thank you.

I love Bishops Percy's and its normally my favourite place to grab a coffee and cake in Bridgnorth, so we decided to make our first visit yesterday. If we were in pre covid times it would have been great, but sadly we didn't feel safe. When you go in there is hand gel and some paper to write your detailed for track and trace, and theres a screen inside at the till which was fine. We ordered our food and sat outside in the lovely outdoor seating area. One thing that first stood out was that the staff weren't wearing any face coverings which made us uncomfortable especially as staff have to get pretty close to serve you your food and drinks. Some people may feel happy with this, but we thought it was too relaxed especially given how many people the staff can come into contact with on a busy day. We also noticed that the tables were being wiped down with glass cleaner rather than anything antibacterial. It's such a shame for us as we love visiting and the service is always great, but unless more safety measures are put into place, we probably won't return until post covid.

We love Bishop Percy's tea room the food is delicious the coffee is the best in town... There is a cosy atmosphere... One small thing... as two of us are asthmatic it would be wonderful if dogs were just allowed in one half of the tea room and not the other...my friend did have trouble breathing on Saturday as a huge dog which was constantly being fussed over would not settle...we had to leave pretty quickly..another time a young lady held her dog half in her lap and half over the table... Sorry to raise this issue but people with an allergy to dogs would like to be considered... Thank you

I had been recommended to this wonderful venue and I was not disappointed. It is a very attractive black and white building which is Grade 1. listed and was constructed in 1580. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and there is plenty of seating. I only popped in for a coffee and a tea cake but there is a great choice of home made cakes, but I didn't indulge on this occasion.
