Brilliant pub with very friendly staff and fantastic food. Homemade lasagne and chips was so good. Generous portions! Well worth a visit and in summer has a lot of outdoor space. Thank you all at Greyhound, don't change a thing💖🙏

Called in here for Sunday lunch earlier today. Although we hadn’t booked we were made very welcome at the bar then shown to a table. The menu offered a 2 or 3 course Sunday lunch or we could chooses from the daily menu. We both chose from the Sunday lunch. My wife had breaded halloumi with tomato salsa and I had the late. Both were lovely and plenty of each. A bit of a rarity, the toast for the pate was hot, unlike everywhere else where it’s normally stone cold. A wonderful difference. Then the mains came. We both chose the beef. Two very hot plates arrived with5 slices of home cooked beef, a Yorkshire pudding, 5 yes 5 toasties and 5 boiled potatoes! Also came a hot dish of fresh veg including carrots, cauliflower and broccoli and extra gravy boat with having to ask. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Call us greedy, but we both had pudding too! I opted for sherry trifle (which actually contained sherry! Another rarity!) and my wife had homemade Black Forest cheesecake. She’s still talking about how good it was ! And now for the real surprise! The bill was under £40!!! Couldn’t believe the value! So we booked for valentines dinner. The service was fast, attentive without being over bearing. This place is a local treasure and would definitely recommend you check it out. Just make sure there’s a table left for us!

It's ok. Nothing really wrong with it but also nothing particularly special. I had a burger which was nice and thick and homemade... But was extremely bland, no spices or seasoning used in it. Chips were over cooked and nearly black. Everything was fine but very meh. Won't come back any time soon.

I went there for a family gathering. The food was alright but some of it just tasted like chip shop bought. The service was good but they refused to change the meal when they got it wrong.

Just been for lunch at the greyhound and excellent quality and value for money isn't the end of it, the staff are so friendly, very welcoming, warm & our meal wow I had steak and kidney pie chips & peas & they even brought out extra gravy,we were a party of 4, luckily we had booked ahead they were quite busy but they gave us equal attention to other guests highly recommended thank you so much we will be back

7 of us visited here New Years Day, all chose a different dish from the menu , starters, mains & some of us had room for a dessert. All really tasty and massive portions, home made chips were FABULOUS! Staff really friendly & welcoming, would highly recommend if your staying in the local area.

Sadly we don't get to come here very often, but when we do there is always a warm, friendly welcome. The food is awesome, with huge portions but not at the compromise of quality.

Absolutely lovely family birthday meal. Really friendly staff, great food and cosy setting. The menu offers lots and lots of different types of food-the vegetarians in our group had lots to choose from. Also wonderful steaks and a beautiful steak suet pudding! Thank you so much 😊

We have been staying nearby all week and have eaten at The Greyhound every night with a fabulous choice of dishes available, all superbly cooked by Richard and served up by Shelly, Nicola and Abbie, make sure you don’t miss the “Specials Boards” nicely priced with generous portions with very welcoming locals too, disabled parking available level access for wheelchairs and has completed our holiday experience. Superb pub with extremely helpful, friendly and attentive staff, great beer and magnificent food. Top job by chef Richard who made our lactose intolerant daughter a special meal using soya milk as a substitute. Brilliant, thank you, highly recommended for a meal and a pint. The rest of the food was great too. We were a party of 8 and everyone loved it there. So many menu choices too!

Fabulous food in a nice quiet atmosphere.

After a hard day’s work and a long drive We stopped off for some dinner and a few drinks, We had a friendly welcome ( which is very important to us ) The food was nice and plenty of it, Staff were all very nice. Very reasonably priced, other pubs locally ( the poachers) should take note! This is how you run a business! We will return in future!

After being let down by another local pub due to technical issues, we decided on the Greyhound Inn in the hope they could accommodate us at short notice. They couldn't have been more welcoming and found us a table and served our drinks. They were expecting a large party shortly after our arrival so asked if we could choose from the menu as soon as possible. The rest of the evening was excellent with attentive service, very good food and fair prices. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Barbara and your team.

Enjoyed lovely beer and food in the gardens today. Really attentive staff. Prices reasonable. Gardens well tended and food and drinks were brought out to us. Really nice couple of hours here before a cycle home. Will be back!

We had returned de Greyhound following a period of time that we had been unable to get there due to my ife having a stroke. We were pleased to find that the place was still the same. The staff and Landlady made us very welcome and went out of their way to settle us in a suitable spot for us t o sit to accomordate a wheelchair to a seat transfer. The menu had an amazing range of food to suit everyones taste. The food we had was very good and served quickly. The staff were friendly and very attentive. It was a very pleasant lunch and look forward to future visits.

2nd time visiting - lovely food, a very large selection to choose from, they also cater for special dietary requirements, the staff were super friendly and welcoming and the final bill was very reasonably priced too. It's a shame the restaurant doesn't have that old countryside pub decor like the bar does. Looks like it's been modernised slightly. But we will be back!

Me and my dad found this place after going to stans supermarket. We both had sunday the food was amazing. Staff are brilliant. People need to go if you find it

Just enjoyed a fantastic meal. Thank you to the lovely staff and particularly to the Chef Richard. I have been unwell and have been advised to follow a certain diet. Richard sat with me and gave guidance on choosing my meal, so for the first time in months I have been able to eat out without unnecessary worry. He can do this as he makes everything himself, all home cooked, so he knows all the ingredients in everything he serves. My husband had the gammon, egg and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed, great portion and I was very envious of the home made chips which were gorgeous (I had to try a couple!) We will certainly look forward to returning to the Greyhound

We have visited this lovely cosy pub a couple of times as a couple and family meal. Welcomed with a warm friendly welcome and lovely log burner going which adds to the cosy atmosphere. The menu offers a good selection along with the specials boards too and caters for everyone. Did not have to wait too long for food to be served which was great as smelt delicious. The food was well presented, great portion size and tasted amazing, especially the home cooked chips. Couldn’t fault the meal or service as excellent. Also offer a big selection of deserts which look divine. Would highly recommend

The food was decent pub fayre, portions were fine. The service was hit and miss but not the waitresses' or barmaid's fault as they were flat out and doing their best, although I think they could do with a kitchen porter as it seemed like they were focusing more on the washing up than the restaurant as it got later on. We didn't have Puddington a second round of drinks in the end despite wanting them as it was going to take an age which was a shame, but would go back again. anyway.

A very friendly, welcoming pub with yummy food. The customer service was excellent. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food and we enjoyed the nacho burger, cod burger and the starters. They also had a good selection of beers including nice non-alcoholic options. Puddings looked very tasty indeed but sadly we were stuffed from the previous courses!

Great find whilst in the area, family and I were looking at a house nearby and needed to eat. Good pub food, staff are welcoming and really friendly .

Hadn't been to the Greyhound for a few years but visited with friends and children and they were very good and on point with service and hospitality. The children enjoyed it and spent most of there time playing or sitting outside nbthe garden. Really good choice of beers, cider on draft and food was lovely and choices of food were great. Keep up the good work and would definitely recommend.

Excellent roast beef dinner, or roast turkey, sweets were excellent too, lovely friendly staff. Great atmosphere .very reasonably priced.

This used to be excellent, sadly this is no longer the case, out of four of us no one enjoyed or finished their meal which was overcooked and below average in every way. Everything is sticky and the toilets are disgusting, no plans ever to visit again.

Having been told what "Good" food is served we paid a visit on Wednesday 20th July. True to form it was excellent, hot and good portions. Staff were friendly and up for a laugh.

Lovely pub friendly staff reasonable prices

All the staff are fantastic. Always eager to make you comfortable and nothing is too much trouble. Best restaurant,atmosphere ,staff and service for miles. You would have to go a long way to beat The Greyhound. Its the BEST. ❤

Used this pub for years , but recently for a wake . Lovely place, nice clean, friendly place as soon as u walk in, staff are perfect. We had a buffet, food was really good and fresh very impressed. Toilet are clean and tidy. And thay as soon had a high chair for our grandson right to hand ,which was spotless clean.

Good food good ale excellent service fairly priced would return and recomend. 10/10.

Yet another wonderful evening spent at the Greyhound. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Proper old school pub that happens to serve brilliant food.

Just got back from a wonderful Sunday dinner at the Greyhound inn, staff really friendly and welcoming as normal, felt really safe and comfortable with the present COVID regs, we both had roast pork with all the trimmings and home made Apple Crumble for pudding, absolutely delicious. Well worth a visit.

This was our first visit to the Greyhound. It is a very welcoming country pub with a wide, varied menu. The service was warm and friendly and the food was served piping hot and fresh. The portions were excellent. We all left feeling full and happy! We will certainly go back.

We visited with friends for lunch today. We were greeted by friendly staff and were impressed with the extensive menu and varied choice. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The food was delicious and came to the table piping hot and they don't skimp on portions! We all left full and happy. We will definitely return.

I visited this pub for the first time today. My friend and I met with our sons for a catch up.Initially the staff were very accommodating and waited for my friend's son to bottle feed before bringing our food. My son is 19 months old and can be a very messy eater, which has never been a problem at any other establishment. Today he was a bit under the weather and wasn't eating,so made a big mess on the floor. The owner made a comment about bringing out a dust pan, when she cleared plates, to which I said yes okay. We had only just finished our meal and were contemplating a pudding when the bill was put on our table and we were told we had to go. The owner had to shut up due to unforseen circumstances, which is fair and can't be helped. We were disappointed as we were having a nice time and wanted to stay longer. We rushed to pay our bill as we were the last people there and I apologised for the mess my son had left, I had no opportunity to clean up as we had to leave suddenly.The owner started to say she was disgusted in the mess and became very rude. She said that I was basically a bad mother for allowing such a mess to occur. I stated that I would have cleaned up if we had had more time. She continued to be rude and said she was taking a photo incase I leave bad feedback. I told her ,admittedly very cross now, to bring out the hoover then and I would sort it. This was ignored and she just continued to say I should have cleaned up.I was shocked and appalled. We all know toddlers are messy and yes my son is the worst, but surely it is not acceptable to talk to a paying customer in such a manner. If I had known we were going to have to leave early I would have made a start on cleaning up, again something I have never had to do anywhere else, despite offering.

Booked lunch today. I have had lunch here several times before and today ordered Gamon and pineaple, which I have not had here before. The service was good, the lunch was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome !

Booked Sunday lunch for five for Father's day. Four of us ordered the pate to start. However, when it was served one of the toasts was green with mould! Told the waitress who merely said "sorry - do you want me to change it" as though this was an everyday occurrence? This she duly did but no further apology from any member of the staff. The whole experience spoiled our meal and will not encourage us to return. Sad as living in the village this has always been our pub of choice for meals.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday dinners cannot fault a single thing, the staff go out of their way to make sure your happy. My partner can only eat certain foods due to health problems and the chef even made us apple crumble while we ate our first 2 courses and I have to say it was amazing.
