Amazing food and drink atmosphere is very nice

You can never leave this place with empty stomach! They are very generous with the amount of food and it was delicious

Recently attended the St Paddy's Day Festival with the promise of Irish music and plenty of beer etc…. The very second we entered and I heard the singer, I was not feeling hopeful, but my Wife said “ Don’t worry, maybe the Irish band will come on later “ So we waited and waited and waited… Queue for the bar on average was 30 to 40 mins long and still not a Ra or Gaelic tone to be heard.. Tried to enter the restaurant through the downstairs door to maybe get served sooner but the lady on security was clearly not in a mood to crack a smile or be helpful in the slightest.. ( I think we will swerve the restaurant in the future too ) Everything about it including the atmosphere wasn’t remotely close to being Irish… Suddenly, the band burst into song “ Wha da, da, da Cotton Eye Joe, I’ve been married along time ago “ That was the final straw and we exited the venue like a wild banshee on the Green Emerald Isle…. We had tickets for a Rum n Reggae festival later this year but I’ve told my Wife to cancel, I can honestly say unlike Arnie “ I won’t be back “

Very disappointed with saint Patrick’s festival Not much Irish music and the queues for the toilets and the bars were terrible people getting angry with all the waiting Watched a security guy on the door being grabbed by his collar for not letting people in side out of the rain would definitely not go again

Could be good, but...very badly organised event. Hour queue for expensive beer. Long toilet queues. No provision for rain!

Came here for the St Patrick’s day event, it was okay but nothing special. 45 min queue for drinks - the staff were polite and apologetic for the wait and to be honest I felt sorry for them as they were clearly very overworked. It was overcrowded and there was nowhere to sit down. The toilets were disgusting. Females were out of order and there was a sign saying to use the ones inside but the manager wouldn’t let anyone in. Hundreds of people but only about 5 security guards - if there had been a fight it would’ve become a very dangerous environment. Probably wouldn’t go back as definitely not worth the £16 tickets

We went on a Saturday evening. We hadn't booked. The manager found us a table. Very good service. All staff were very good. Food was lovely. Will return when in Nottingham again

We went last year for mother's day & it was fantastic. Went today unfortunately not so fantastic, the chicken was not the best & difficult to get off the bone , dessert was great. Slightly disappointed this mother's day

Binks Yard has become our go-to spot whenever we escape Sheffield for a weekend away in Nottingham. There's just something about it that keeps drawing us back. On our recent visit this past weekend, I tried their pizza, and it was absolutely delicious – perfect crust, flavorful toppings, absolutely perfectly delicious. But what really sets Binks apart is the friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere. Every time we walk in, we're greeted with smiles and good vibes, and it just hits a warm spot in us. The modern ambiance adds to the experience, making it a unique spot that we've come to cherish. We've made so many memories during our trips to Nottingham with Binks Yard, and it's become a tradition for us. It's incredible to see how Binks is ever-growing and evolving, yet it still maintains that special charm that keeps us coming back for more. I wish all the best to the staff and the brand itself. We're already planning our next trip away, and you can bet Binks Yard is at the top of our list. It's become more than just a restaurant and bar for us – it's a destination that holds a special place in our hearts. Cheers to many more memories at Binks!

Visited Binks Yard on a number of occasions and the food/ drinks and atmosphere has always been on point. We especially loved the Sunday roast, decent portions and excellent quality. A great addition to Nottingham. Look forward to more dinner dates and attending your many events in 2024!

£25 for 2 courses Sunday lunch so would expect good quality and portion sizes. Got the thinnest (1-2mm) , smallest slices of beef (photo ) . My son and wife got slightly bigger portions, but very thin cut again. What really upset me was that when i asked for more i was told this is the normal portion size. If thats the case it’s really bad value and they should change their marketing which as per the other website photo shows 3 big slabs of sirloin around 1cm thick, vastly different to the reality which is clear to see. I don’t think our 3 plates together would have been equal to the amount of beef they show as 1 portion. My daughter had ham hock which was actually a huge portion, well cooked, with the hock taking up half the plate. Huge disparity with the beef. Starters were ok, but generally cold pre-prepared Courses, nothing special.

I saw the head chef put his hands down his trousers and then go and touch the food, this is a health and safety violation and I am appalled at this behaviour. I heard one of his colleagues calling him Lewis, the way that he spoke to his fellow colleagues shocked me and I don’t reccomend this place to anyone who wants good hygiene or food.

Great place, not too busy, plenty of choice and a good DJ made for great atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Hungover and stuggling with back pain was probably not the best time to visit, but the superb food and best Old Fashioned I've had in a long time turned out to be the perfect tonic. The service was also excellent.

This location is awesome for a night out with family and friends because of the friendly atmosphere, food and staff. The food was very creative, flavourful, and extremely tasty. As for the staff, in particular Kieron.F was incredible. He was kind, professional and attentive. Would highly recommend.

7 of us went on Christmas Eve for lunch in one of the Bink's domes. It was a lovely experience, we were escorted to the dome and looked after by the friendly and helpful staff who were great. The food was delicious, and so nicely presented. The whole experience was just what we hoped for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you.

Great place, friendly staff offering a cosy atmosphere. The doggo loved the attention and treats too! All the food and drinks were good but the chestnut pizza wasn’t good, the chestnuts were too hard so we had to remove them.

The service was so slow. We waited over 30 minutes for each drink. When we complained the manager argued with us and told us they had a full restaurant. She did not appear apologetic at all. The pizzas were very dry, which was not good when we had no drinks to wash it down with. The food came at different times which made it awkward whilst eating. We ate in the domes outside which were nice but service was sub par. Would not recommend for big groups. Cocktails were nice though!

Excellent friendly service and the mushroom blue burger was luscious and delicious - fabulous vegetarian food.

Been here so many times and by far and away this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. All had pizzas and they were all so lacking in flavour. No one came to ask if the food was ok. Service slow and trying to get attention to get another drink was difficult. Would understand if very busy but wasn’t at all. Spoke to one of the managers after problems with bill as extras been added and told him how poor the food was and he did absolutely nothing. In terms of customer service this is incredibly poor. It’s been mixed experiences last few times I’ve been but sadly this was terrible today

We booked this place for our annual Xmas meal as it was last minute there was only the option of "Xmas tapas"which was £25pp when we arrived there and hadn't had much to eat all day, so after the first meals arrived we eagerly wolfed them down, but after the first 4 dishes there were no other dishes coming out and we thought that was all the dishes done, a few more dishes turned up but shared between 9 of us, so long story short there wasn't enough food IMHO and the only Xmas element was pigs in blankets and so called festive pizza which consisted largely of a pizza with a bit of cranberry and small pieces turkey. Cocktails were an exorbitant £12 each and were basic to say the least, the bill came to nearly £1000 for 17 of us when you consider that most of us were couples that equated to £170 for a meal and a few drinks, I know it's Xmas but why should we have to pay a premium for the privlage of endulging in these festivities. You could enjoy Michelin star dinning for this kind of money,it's clear this place is dinning out on it's location, the service was poor with waiting between dishes being overly long and random dishes sent out in an odd order ie roast potatoes with chips but nothing to go with them. All in all this was a disappointing experience and I for one won't be rushing back there in a hurry,plus they charged us £100 for service charge which didn't take in to account the deposit cost we had already paid so charged us 10% for the entire bill,which was shocking considering the service.

A truly classy establishment If you want a good night, this is the place to go. Not too loud, but still a great atmosphere with good quality drinks at a reasonable price. The best place to be if you want to watch the sport

Such a shame - food was lovely, but service pretty poor. Never brought pudding menu despite asking for it and always had to ask for someone to take drinks order. Missing out on valuable revenue and manager not interested at the point of paying the bill in receiving feedback. Very different to experience a year ago. Bar staff very pleasant.

A fun experience, attended a works do here. Great location. The food comes when it's ready so at one point we were munching on chips and roast potatoes, earlier it was a ceasar salad, then later pizza, finger food style serving, might take some getting used to. The food was good, in particular the ceasar salad. The band was good a very busy, lively place

Really enjoyed the food, but you need to clarify the nature of the the Christmas menu. As a large group we had different dietary requirements, veggie, vegan etc. We found it difficult to order for everyones needs despite being told by the receptionist that we could do this when we turned up. The veggie and vegan options were delicious and we really enjoyed the originality of the chestnut pizza.

We took a dome for the evening, it was beautiful, staff were fabulous, food was good. If taking a dome, wear warm boots! The floor gets cold when it's -1 outside! Lovely evening overall, happy to recommend.

Met friends here for drinks dinner and a catch up. Can't say anything negative other than it was rammed with people. Post First match. So the bar was stacked out. The bar staff were efficient but it was a bit of a wait. Food was good just had a blue cheese burger, very nice, again our fault we booked a bar table which was fine but not ideal for 13 people to catch up. Again not anyone's issue other than ours. Atmosphere was great, live act was talented. Big TV outside and igloos to rent which will do next time. Interestingly I'm the only one of our group lads with hair and not dressed in black 🤔😁

Visited here for the first time for food and drinks. Had pizza and two starters was so nice and just enough to eat. Service was fantastic think her name was holly? Very professional and friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. Experience of the Dome was really nice. Would definitely visit again for food and drinks 🫶🏼🙌🏻

Lovely meal tonight at Binks Yard, Nottingham. Great music and it was really happening. We had hummus and flatbread and Korean cauliflower. Really tasty. My son had kid’s chicken and chips and he was really pleased with his. I had the chicken shawarma on a flatbread with pickled cucumber and my husband had a burger with fries. The food was really tasty and considering how busy the venue was the chefs all seemed very calm and in control and every meal coming out the pass was the same excellent standard. Would definitely recommend you visit.

Its my second visit to Binks Yard and just as good as the first. There was 8 of us visiting at lunchtime and service and food was brilliant. I enjoyed food from the lunch festive menu. Two courses for £17.50 (liver parfat and cheese burger), was delicious. Would definately recommend a visit.

Had an absolutely amazing time in one of the outside pods. Warm, comfortable, and with great service. Food and cocktails were fabulous too!

Arrived for our 19:30 table for 4, not ready, waited around 30 minutes to be seated. Not the best start, but no real issue. Ordered 4 starters to share and 4 main courses to follow. The starters were very nice. Strangely a steak main course arrived halfway through eating out starters, we sent it back. Once we finished our starters, the main courses arrived, along with a now cold steak. Obviously that went back for a second time! By the time 3 of us had nearly finished our main course, another steak main appeared, not medium but rare, and not a nice cut. This went back! We decided against requesting another. They offered us free dessert course, we swapped the offer for free drinks ( although 2 found their way into the bill!). The bill was agreed and we exited for home, rather disappointed with our meal and with one hungry diner! Our waitress was lovely, very apologetic and embarrassed at our experience. I don’t think we will be going back!

Lovely Sunday lunch. Really good portions and very welcoming staff. The place has a great atmosphere and lovely canal views.

Visited yesterday. Took almost an hour for food to come. The burger was not good and sent back, the chips with the burger were greasy and inedible. Pizza bases were nice but not enough tomato sauce so tasted mainly of cheese and Ndjua. Chicken was nice, and the beer was great but we sat their for a full 15 mins with no food on our table and empty glasses. Nice venue and friendly staff

Saturday 18th november 2023 We visited this great Nottingham real ale on the no/ingham canal front This lively pub has a following of young clientele and real ale drinkers The staff are so friendly and helpfull the real ales are so well looked after I will state to everyone this real ale pub a good place to drink in👍

The food was amazing as always as I come here quite often and I always have amazing service they treat all customers as well as each other as a happy family and it always puts a smile on my face

I came the other day for sunday lunch and had the ham hock. The mash was gorgeous and the portion size was amazing.l Also it was the nicest roast I've ever had and will be returning and bringing all my family along 😊

Was really looking forward to this place based on what I've heard but it didn't live up to the expectation. I personally thought the food was really good, big portion sizes, but half the party (13 people in total) were all ill in the evening after having lunch here. The service/admin side definitely needs to be improved though. It took nearly an hour to even get our meals despite pre warning them of time constraints with the assurance from them that they could oblige. We did fill in a pre order form, which was self suggested by our party but when this was sent, this was ignored for a week then the day before the booking, we were told the menu had changed so some options were no longer available.

Quite simply divine! This was my first visit to Binks and to say I enjoyed myself was an understatement. I tried my first Sirloin and the taste was immaculate, the mushroom was fantastic and the added garnish was perfect. The dining area was spotless, the waiting staff were great and very helpful. A must visit spot in Nottingham! 10/10 Will be returning again.

Can’t review the food as we didn’t actually get to try it. Arrived planning to have brunch at 11am on a Sunday only to be told that they were unable to seat us as they were getting ready for lunch service, despite the website saying...

Came here for a Thursday night with friends a few weeks ago. The food was delicious and the drinks stunning. Vasco was a 10/10 host and then after coming to the bar for some post-dinner drinks Vasco and Alex continued to look after us well....

Very disappointed, I was looking forward to trying this place for a long time. I had heard great things from others, so I was keen to try it. Firstly, it needs to decide whether it's a bar or a restaurant. The music was incredibly loud to the point where conversation with the person across the table was no longer feasible. We even had to move to a different table as it became unbearable. The food was either very average or just plain bad. The pizza came out with undercooked dough and had to be sent back - I don't know how it's possible to get pizza wrong. The fish was overcooked and dry. I've honestly had better meals at chain gastropubs. The staff were friendly and fairly quick until we complained, and then the service quickly turned. I won't be returning, and I will recommend others to not bother trying it either. It seems to rely on the location/building, which admittedly is very nice.

We had our works Summer party here. The staff were so so helpful, we had the outdoor bbq option which was lovely. Amazing space out on the terrace, nothing was too much. We will be back. Thanks Mandy H

We paid for VIP at a pop up party at the Binks yard. The start wash brilliant with full table service, tapas food and a DJ. After 4pm it all went down hill. They started only serving a very selected range of drinks. Then they limited the seating to the edges which was fine as but then they stopped the DJ and just stopped the music. The atmosphere died and the only option was to go outside with the rest of the crowd. Finally, bear in mind it is still Silver VIP. They closed the VIP toilets and said it was due to ‘no water’. They have done this twice so it’s rubbish and really let the night down. Wry disappointed in the organisers as the atmosphere and toilets are why I pay for VIP so they are less busy and cleaner. Maybe not worth paying for VIP again!

Lots of potential, been a couple times and both times staff were lacking customer service skills, just don't seem to want to give customers a good experience that will keep them coming back. Outdoor space lacks greenery and speakers setup too loudly close to outdoor tables, makes it difficult to talk to people. Hope the feedback helps!

Visited Binks Yard for the Hip Hop 50th weekend and the atmosphere was amazing. Really well put together and the food was really nice. Highly recommend visiting.

Binks yard is great!! The outside area is perfect for a sunny drink and enjoying the screen. The food was also lovely- we particularly loved the miso cod and tacos. Great vibe & service, thank you!!:)

Always a pleasure to be in the company of lovely staff at Binksyard. However, wild mushroom leek and truffle plate had no truffle at all and was a small splattering of burnt leek over everything else . White chocolate cheesecake was like a blancmange texture....

Just overall a great place in Nottingham, one of the best places to go if you're in the city centre. A short walk from Hockley but away from the riff raff. Great food, good lunchtime deal and brilliant entertainment/events.

We visited at lunch time today, with our 4 year old daughter, here’s what we thought: 1) lovely atmosphere: very relaxed, clean and great location. 2) served in good time. 3) our daughter has a milk allergy and they did the best to accommodate her....

A very good restaurant on the side of the canal. Lovely outdoor seating area with entertainment system. Inside was comfortable with an eclectic food choice. I really enjoyed the visit and will come again.

We went in a group of seven, too large a number to be served together, or nearly together.

Ordered a large selection off the menu all was excellent. The fish mushroom and prawn tacos were all great, with the mushroom and prawn being the highlight. The truffled wild mushroom and the Korean style cauliflower were my favourite dishes.
