Absolutely appalling experience due to the unprofessional behaviour from the staff when out for a birthday meal for my mum. After having to send our food back twice, we were met with rude, dismissive and judgemental treatment from our waitress, who even laughed at us and gossiped about our complaints to the other staff. This level of disrespect was shocking and completely unacceptable, especially towards local & loyal customers. Wont be returning again.

Little Bop Halloween...not bad. My daughter is 8, she enjoyed the snake and buffalo. But felt a little too old for the other stuff. Music at silent disco didn't really appeal to her. We completed the mummy word hunt but nobody could find the mysterious girl with blond hair to hand it in to, we wasn't the only ones. We was a little disappointed, but this is mainly due to my daughters age. Brilliant for younger kids...

We came to see a rock cover band in the outside area 15/09/24. We had a great time, the band was really good and engaging (we even got the signed Nelly the elephant). Every staff member at the inside bar was really helpful. The person serving me went out of their way to speak with a manager as they had run out of ice cream from the machine. They offered scoops instead which my almost 7 year old was very happy about. Was expecting just a few scoops but she got a sundae instead. I have a disability that effects my thinking so thought the extra time they spent with me was really nice as they explained the drink choices also. We ended up having a great night and will be back, hopefully soon for another rock night. Just noticed the reviews mentioning access reg. disability (I have to use a crutch). I did note to myself the amount of steps luckily I had had a few drinks so it didn't effect me personally. I didn't notice where the disabled facilities were as I didn't use the bathroom whilst there but would be good to know for future events. As I say, we will be back for the next rock night.

Went for the 80's gig, packed out excellent music vibe, - until'.. No onsite parking! carpark was for virgin only. Loo blocks are porta-cabins. Food was tasty, overpriced and portion size poor! (4 small nugget size chicken with slaw for £9? ) Round of two lagers & 1 coke(designated driver)- £18! again overpriced' for the occasion we felt. On top of the £30 entry fee each', for lacklustre wannabe singer'.. Unfortunately male vocalist killed it. The crowd some themed costumed from Wham etc. made it enjoyable. Nice evening when the sunset & the lights come alive at night 🌙. With some fair-priced improvements I'd like to go again sometime, modern venue.

We went to a MJ tribute night & had a great night! Yes it gets busy but there was a great, fun, safe atmosphere. The drinks are expensive but all the staff were helpfull & friendly from the bar staff to security. £8 for a cheeseburger that wasn't the best but served its purpose. We were a little worried about going after reading the reviews but didnt need to be & will go to events in future. The seating area at the back soon gets filled up so we stood & danced & soaked up the atmosphere.

Absolutely shocking venue! No disabled entrance at all, expected to queue in long queues with everyone else. Asked staff for help and was very rudely spoke to and discriminated against. Once inside there are no disabled toilets only porter loos up steps and long queues. Did ask staff where they were and was told there are no disabled toilets. No gin bar like stated only gin and tonic in cans so over priced and served warm. All drinks very expensive and super long queues. Totally over crowded with hardly any seating at all. Most staff very rude and didn’t have a clue about anything asked of them. I did email my complaints and express my concerns to the General Manager, Sally Thornhill only for her take a long time to reply with no apology at all. After several emails back and forth at my absolute shock of the lack of empathy and care from the venue staff and the General Manager she then just added Ben Hickling to an email to get him to reply to me. He is the Events Manager. Again no apology or much empathy but did state things were going to change? I have replied to him again expressing my concerns and still await a reply. For a huge company in this day and age not to cater for disabled people is shocking! To be discriminated against and embarrassed is just not acceptable at all. Then to have careless uneducated staff and a General Manager with a lack of professionalism well I’m actaully lost for words. AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!!

I'd definitely come here again. Didn't know what to expect as I met some family here for lunch. From the website I was worried it'd be a bit of a showy brunchy place, I shouldn't have worried. Sunday lunch was flawless, the kitchen clearly put some effort into it. Perfect yorkies, lovely buttered veg with not a bite of it under or overcooked, melt in the mouth roasted ham hock with crispy skin worthy of a German Biergarten, properly reminded my of Schweinshaxe. Apple sauce was great. Tried someone's beef, that was great too. The portions were massive, but still felt classy. Really attentive service, which was cool seeing as there was also a big event outside. Finished with a well made coffee, latte art and all, and a banging chocolate mousse.

No disabled facilities. Long queues for portable toilets. Asked the steward about disabled toilets as I was tearing oxygen. He literally shrugged his shoulders at me. No wear to, but a couple of tables in a very over crowded area. The gin bar is just cans of warm gin and tonic mix. There was only one food stall selling topped chips. Not multiple food vendors as advertised. Tried to complain on line with no response

Me and a friend bought tickets for the Pride event on 27th July. After a great day at Nottingham Pride, we headed to Binks Yard to carry on the Pride party. As soon as we arrived, we were a little taken aback at how small the venue was, having been to many other Pride events over the years but we thought we would still head in as we had bought tickets. As we had our tickets scanned, we noticed that our backpacks were not searched which made us feel anxious, especially considering the level of hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community. This was an amber flag and we continued into the event. It took us about 5 minutes to walk around the entire space and there was one stall, selling the same tacky items that street vendors had been peddling all day around Nottingham. There were a couple of places selling food, which we didn't try so can't comment on that. We decided to get a drink and try to settle in. I myself do not drink alcohol and my friend was not drinking either that day. The bar we headed to only had one non alcholic option, a peroni 0%. I asked if they were doing any mocktails and they said I could get those types of drinks inside. We headed inside and when we finally got round to ordering, we were told that they were not doing cocktails or mocktails that day, it was the same offerings as the outside bar so again, just the 0% peroni. My friend bought a coke zero but I decided not to bother. We headed back outside to watch the DJ who was on at the time and I cant fault them and the stage set up was very good. It was the vibe of the place and the people there that made us quickly realise that this was just a place for people to come and get rowdy and very drunk. There were staff walking around with trays of shots and it was obvious that people were here to just drink. The point that we decided to leave is when someone in the VIP area took their top off and had their breasts out and the security and staff did nothing about it. There was also not many places to sit, unless you had paid for a VIP ticket so after a long day at Pride, we had to stand. We spent about 15 minutes in there and felt so uncomfortable that we had to leave. We contacted them and gave our feedback and asked for a refund and we were so shocked at the rude and unprofessional reply from someone called Nick Howdle, which I've added a photo of. It's almost unsurprising after the vibe of the event to receive such a terrible response to our feedback. All in all, a total waste of money and I would not visit again, especially based on the awful response.

Went to r&b gig. Advertised wrongly, the sound of the equipment was poor. Security staff very poor judgment, heavy handed and doing what they want not following the rules of the sia. Smashed some blocked phone who was dragged out of the venue after trying to break up a fight and when he asked why they got aggressive so he started filming it live. They smacked the phone from his hands and is still online, they also pushed a guy over with a walking stick and told him to f@&k off. Drinks are over priced and ran out quick. Venue manager wasn’t bothered. Poster said Lisa mafia yet never turned up. Won’t be recommending this place no time soon. Only decent thing was toilets where kept clean.

The Chicken shawarmas were very poor. A small amount of chicken on a basic flat bread. We had to ask for more sauce as even that was pitiful. The accompanying radish and cucumber were also lacking in portion size. Burger and pizza were OK. Service was polite, however we had to ask for a missing portion of fries and the pizza arrived as one of us had nearly finished their main course. Was also not impressed that upon payment being requested they stated card only when I had got cash ready. No notice about this on the way in. However looking on the way out a small notice was on a part of the bar we hadn't passed. This is poor and they should make clearer for all who enter the premises. Overall very poor.

First time visiting for a Father's Day breakfast. Nice decor, very attentive staff and feel like it would have a nice vibe in the evening. Breakfast was nice and actually well priced if you control yourself when it comes to adding extras! Coffee is nice (takes a while to bring it to the table, although I guess this is maybe due to it being proper well made coffee) and the quality of the food was nice. They've changed the parking policy so you can now park across the road as long as you don't exceed four hours. Agree about the point on the beans....a little stingy given it's probably one of the cheapest items on the plate! Visited a second time just recently. Service took a little longer this time and quite a long wait for breakfast. When the breakfast did come, two of the meals were missing items that we had to ask about. The menu also needs some work. They have an icon that tells you what is meant to be 'gluten free' although nothing on the breakfast menu had anything that was gluten free on it. You have to ask the staff to sub items that do contain gluten for things that do not. However, as this is an allergen, there should really be a designated menu to help customers with this and make it abundantly clear.

We attended "Love the 90s" night at Bink's Yard this evening. The atmosphere was great and N-Trance were brilliant. However, paying £35 for a VIP ticket which got you in to a VIP area with a longer queue and worse toilets than the general entry, left a sour taste. Further to that, being interrogated as to where you were going when you had to leave to find suitable food, then being told you had to return within 10 minutes reminded me of the 90s when I was 14 years old and my parents tried to quiz me about what I was doing. I wouldn't mind but at least my Dad had a sense of humour. Only having one limited option for food in an 8 hour event was poor I'm afraid. Loved the music but the organisation was mediocre at best.

We had an absolute blast here for my daughters leaving do. She’s emigrating to Australia. We booked a table for 20+ a few months ago hoping that there would be an event on the day, well the event was 90s revival!! Absolutely fabulous!! The food was out of this world. The bang bang cauliflower ( can’t believe I’m saying this about the humble , farty cauli) was an inspiration!! I’m gonna be trumping forever now cos I’m seriously gonna make it. The service was amazing The food again was gorgeous, hot and very abundant. The only drawback was the lack of communication We paid £10 deposit pp and expected to pay £10 pp on the day. But there was a small service charge of £3.75 pp that was not discussed and this caused my daughter to panic as we were not aware of this. It’s not a lot in the grand scheme of things and we were happy to pay. It would’ve been less stressful to have known about it beforehand. Not a criticism at all, just a heads up to yourselves for future parties. I did feel for the lady who was taking individual payments. She had to take the required amount from a bunch of inebriated tw*ts 🤣🤣 All in all a great night and the more able of the party were allowed into the mosh of 90s celebrations while us more geriatrictricles ( not a real word. But you get the gist ) got a train homeward bound. Goodnight Binks. In the words of Arnie “ we will be back”

I’m in Nottingham for work, and my host recommended a place near my hotel that’s supposed to be really good. When I got there, it was packed, and there was no one to show me to a table, so I had to find my own way. Eventually, a staff member noticed me wandering and led me to a table for one. The place is known for its pizzas and burgers, but I fancied something different and went for the prawn and monkfish shawarma. Big mistake. The flatbread was so tough it was hard to cut, and there was barely any seafood on the plate, especially for the £18 price tag. The only saving grace was the side of chips, which were quite good.

Went to an event on Sunday, Rodger Sanchez was headlining , I must say the venue was magnificent, very well laid out, you could go outside which had a separate dj. They had enough bars and staff so you don't have to queue for long at all. The whole event was well timed and even had fire breathers for that added flare. Only thing for me was the pizza was prob a bit on the expensive side for what you got, saying that everything has gone up due to inflation anyway.

We decided to leave on way out I told the manager he needed to go on a course on how to deal with customers and how to put situations like this right. He was rude and thinks sorry was ok. Recently attended the St Paddy's Day Festival with the promise of Irish music and plenty of beer etc…. The very second we entered and I heard the singer, I was not feeling hopeful, but my Wife said “ Don’t worry, maybe the Irish band will come on later “ So we waited and waited and waited… Queue for the bar on average was 30 to 40 mins long and still not a Ra or Gaelic tone to be heard.. Tried to enter the restaurant through the downstairs door to maybe get served sooner but the lady on security was clearly not in a mood to crack a smile or be helpful in the slightest.. ( I think we will swerve the restaurant in the future too ) Everything about it including the atmosphere wasn’t remotely close to being Irish… Suddenly, the band burst into song “ Wha da, da, da Cotton Eye Joe, I’ve been married along time ago “ That was the final straw and we exited the venue like a wild banshee on the Green Emerald Isle…. We had tickets for a Rum n Reggae festival later this year but I’ve told my Wife to cancel, I can honestly say unlike Arnie “ I won’t be back “

It was overcrowded and there was nowhere to sit down. The toilets were disgusting. Females were out of order and there was a sign saying to use the ones inside but the manager wouldn’t let anyone in. Hundreds of people but only about 5 security guards - if there had been a fight it would’ve become a very dangerous environment. Probably wouldn’t go back as definitely not worth the £16 tickets

Binks Yard has become our go-to spot whenever we escape Sheffield for a weekend away in Nottingham. There's just something about it that keeps drawing us back. On our recent visit this past weekend, I tried their pizza, and it was absolutely delicious – perfect crust, flavorful toppings, absolutely perfectly delicious. But what really sets Binks apart is the friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere. Every time we walk in, we're greeted with smiles and good vibes, and it just hits a warm spot in us. The modern ambiance adds to the experience, making it a unique spot that we've come to cherish. We've made so many memories during our trips to Nottingham with Binks Yard, and it's become a tradition for us. It's incredible to see how Binks is ever-growing and evolving, yet it still maintains that special charm that keeps us coming back for more. I wish all the best to the staff and the brand itself. We're already planning our next trip away, and you can bet Binks Yard is at the top of our list. It's become more than just a restaurant and bar for us – it's a destination that holds a special place in our hearts. Cheers to many more memories at Binks!

£25 for 2 courses Sunday lunch so would expect good quality and portion sizes. Got the thinnest (1-2mm) , smallest slices of beef (photo ) . My son and wife got slightly bigger portions, but very thin cut again. What really upset me was that when i asked for more i was told this is the normal portion size. If thats the case it’s really bad value and they should change their marketing which as per the other website photo shows 3 big slabs of sirloin around 1cm thick, vastly different to the reality which is clear to see. I don’t think our 3 plates together would have been equal to the amount of beef they show as 1 portion. My daughter had ham hock which was actually a huge portion, well cooked, with the hock taking up half the plate. Huge disparity with the beef. Starters were ok, but generally cold pre-prepared Courses, nothing special.

I saw the head chef put his hands down his trousers and then go and touch the food, this is a health and safety violation and I am appalled at this behaviour. I heard one of his colleagues calling him Lewis, the way that he spoke to his fellow colleagues shocked me and I don’t reccomend this place to anyone who wants good hygiene or food.

Hungover and stuggling with back pain was probably not the best time to visit, but the superb food and best Old Fashioned I've had in a long time turned out to be the perfect tonic. The service was also excellent.

This location is awesome for a night out with family and friends because of the friendly atmosphere, food and staff. The food was very creative, flavourful, and extremely tasty. As for the staff, in particular Kieron.F was incredible. He was kind, professional and attentive. Would highly recommend.

7 of us went on Christmas Eve for lunch in one of the Bink's domes. It was a lovely experience, we were escorted to the dome and looked after by the friendly and helpful staff who were great. The food was delicious, and so nicely presented. The whole experience was just what we hoped for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you.

Great place, friendly staff offering a cosy atmosphere. The doggo loved the attention and treats too! All the food and drinks were good but the chestnut pizza wasn’t good, the chestnuts were too hard so we had to remove them.

The service was so slow. We waited over 30 minutes for each drink. When we complained the manager argued with us and told us they had a full restaurant. She did not appear apologetic at all. The pizzas were very dry, which was not good when we had no drinks to wash it down with. The food came at different times which made it awkward whilst eating. We ate in the domes outside which were nice but service was sub par. Would not recommend for big groups. Cocktails were nice though!

Been here so many times and by far and away this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. All had pizzas and they were all so lacking in flavour. No one came to ask if the food was ok. Service slow and trying to get attention to get another drink was difficult. Would understand if very busy but wasn’t at all. Spoke to one of the managers after problems with bill as extras been added and told him how poor the food was and he did absolutely nothing. In terms of customer service this is incredibly poor. It’s been mixed experiences last few times I’ve been but sadly this was terrible today

We booked this place for our annual Xmas meal as it was last minute there was only the option of "Xmas tapas"which was £25pp when we arrived there and hadn't had much to eat all day, so after the first meals arrived we eagerly wolfed them down, but after the first 4 dishes there were no other dishes coming out and we thought that was all the dishes done, a few more dishes turned up but shared between 9 of us, so long story short there wasn't enough food IMHO and the only Xmas element was pigs in blankets and so called festive pizza which consisted largely of a pizza with a bit of cranberry and small pieces turkey. Cocktails were an exorbitant £12 each and were basic to say the least, the bill came to nearly £1000 for 17 of us when you consider that most of us were couples that equated to £170 for a meal and a few drinks, I know it's Xmas but why should we have to pay a premium for the privlage of endulging in these festivities. You could enjoy Michelin star dinning for this kind of money,it's clear this place is dinning out on it's location, the service was poor with waiting between dishes being overly long and random dishes sent out in an odd order ie roast potatoes with chips but nothing to go with them. All in all this was a disappointing experience and I for one won't be rushing back there in a hurry, plus they charged us £100 for service charge which didn't take in to account the deposit cost we had already paid so charged us 10% for the entire bill, which was shocking considering the service.

A truly classy establishment If you want a good night, this is the place to go. Not too loud, but still a great atmosphere with good quality drinks at a reasonable price. The best place to be if you want to watch the sport

A fun experience, attended a works do here. Great location. The food comes when it's ready so at one point we were munching on chips and roast potatoes, earlier it was a ceasar salad, then later pizza, finger food style serving, might take some getting used to. The food was good, in particular the ceasar salad. The band was good a very busy, lively place

Such a shame - food was lovely, but service pretty poor. Never brought pudding menu despite asking for it and always had to ask for someone to take drinks order. Missing out on valuable revenue and manager not interested at the point of paying the bill in receiving feedback. Very different to experience a year ago. Bar staff very pleasant.

I like this pub. Unfortunately, the most inept bar staff I have witnessed in some time tonight ( 25/9/24). The bar staff appeared unable to see who had been waiting and who was newly arrived. I don’t know if this is down to training or just lazy. A real shame.

Me and my partner come in here often for drinks , today we have came in and had such a brilliant server I felt as thought I had to write a review , I believe his name was Joey, not sure if he’s one of the owners. He has been so attentive to any minor queries we have had and has been so personal and friendly. Top notch customer service compared to any I have seen in Nottingham! He has made our night in his friendliness and personalisation! He deserves as much credit as possible.
