Myself & 3 friends had a lovely lunch at the Bexley yesterday. The service & food were excellent. We sat outside as the weather was good. The barman came & took our drinks orders then our food order. Extensive menus with something for everyone. Will definitely be back soon. Can highly recommend.

we visited the Bexley Arms whilst on a boating holiday on the river Thames , Having visited windsor previously we had been disappointed with the offering on the main street , so looked on tripadvisor and found this locals not too far from the river , but away from the tourist areas. WOW what a find , as mentioned in a previous review it is like stepping back in time , it's like pubs were when i was a kid (40 years ago) . We entered through the main bar which had a good group of locals in it, along with a friendly gentleman who was sat on a stool at the end of the bar, who directed us into the room around the bar . the affore said gentleman turned out to be the landlord ( when was the last time you saw a landlord drinking with the locals??) We were seated by a lovely polish lady Miriam? who said as we were the only people eating they had set up a table in the back bar ( like somebodys front room!!) rather than the main dining room , which she did show us later and was very impressive. We all opted for the rump steak which was excellent. my wife is not normally a fan but declared it as being better than fillet ( praise indeed). we could only manage one dessert between us a huge treacle sponge with custard which was also excellent. As we were finishing our meals Annie , the chef/ landlady came around and sat at the bar , commanding the pub the only way an old school publican , Can . I had to squeeze in another pint of the well kept courage bitter which despite being served 'southern style' We northerners like a Proper Head !!. was the best pint of beer i had tasted all week. Whilst getting served we struck up conversation with Annie who told us they had been running the pub for 35 years . I doubt very much except the prices have changed in that time . and why should it. This is a proper locals pub , which has a warm welcome for visitors , whilst selling excellent food and drink. The Bexley and its landlord /lady really are a hidden gem in Windsor

Well, I think you have to have been to this pub so that you can appreciate and understand this review - it is like visiting a relatives house that it stuck in a time-warp, it reminded me of eating dinner in my Gran's lounge. It is old-fashioned and not of this decade/era. But, it is a cosy and inviting pub. 3 of us went early on a Saturday night and the barmaid was very welcoming and friendly. I think the landlady was in the kitchen cooking our meals so did not get to meet her. We all went for 3 courses of a very retro menu, so out of the 70's/early 80's that it was nostalgic & just had to be done - all the old favourites there: knickerbocker glory, prawn cocktail, duck a'la orange etc. Generous prices and fair portion sizes1 We will return as it was a very comfortable and cosy pub, no pretentiousness here - just a step back in time to how pubs used to be!

What an amazing couple of hours we had last Sunday, immaculately clean pub, retro cool, but all original! Proper old school prawn cocktail to start, followed by the most Amazing Roast! No room for puddings, but, oh my did they look amazing! As retro as the decor and and the Prawn cocktail starter! We're talking Steamed puddings, Knickerbocker glory Banana spit.. The list just went on and on! ALL home made! What a little hidden jem! Well done team Bexley! 😀

Wow. Been a while since we have been at the Bexley Arms, lockdown etc to blame. So we and friends booked in for Sunday lunch. We were not expecting it to be too busy, how wrong could you be. We were told that we got the last table booking. So we turned up and found the bar buzzing, busy with post Sunday-lunch’ers and drinkers. There was a real atmosphere again. Before we took our seats we saw a couple of groups turned away as there was simply no space left. We were told later that this has been the case for the previous couple of weeks. So we were called through a took our seats. We went old school, starter / mains and a cheeky pudding! Oh and a great bottle of Malbec for under £20. We all started with the same thing, yep that 70’S fav Prawn Cocktail – its seems it’s a firm fav at the Bexley. It was a belter, no need to say anymore! Then two of us went with the Roast Sirloin and one with the poached salmon. The beef was proper, none of this pre-sliced stuff that is heated up by the gravy! Thick slices and that weekend it must have come from a cow the size of a house, they were large slices! All the veg and roasties you can hope to eat. Oh and the cauliflower and cheese for the table! The gravy is proper, you can taste the beef all through it and there is loads of it. If you can believe it we did all go for pudding. All the family fav’s are there as well as an incredible selection of splits and sundaes. Small portions …. not on your life, we had bitten off more that we could chew, so to speak! Afterwards we headed back to the bar, still busy and very jolly. The Bexley shuts early on a Sunday, which is good, gives you just enough time for a great Sunday lunch and a end of weekend drink in the company of friends. A great decision to go for Sunday lunch!

Had a couple of very nice pints of London Pride, sat outside in a quiet street setting, all very good. Had my temperature and contact details taken on arrival in line with current COVID-19 protocol and the protection for staff and customers was very good, with screens in place etc. Didn't eat there but noticed they offered the 50% off deal for Mon/Tues/Wed and a 10% discount for other days, very good and proactive to generate business rather than complain! Overall very good and we'll be back.

Although it was a windy and rainy evening, we walked over through a lovely area of Windsor from our B and B on Alma rd..and enjoyed a great meal at the Bexley Arms..Garlic mushrooms to start off the meal were perfectly cooked , seasoned and served...friendly staff made us feel at home..snug in the corner...of a a beautiful dining room...a large party had just called and cancelled..felt bad for the staff..but they didn't let it bother their attitude..had the Shepherd's Pie and it was delicious..good pint to go along..enjoyed the Ladies Loo, it has the Godfather toilet...we took pics in there..and the staff thought of course weird Americans..totally great evening.

We turned up quite late at 2pm for a 'walk-in' Sunday roast dinner and worried we might be turned away but no, a table was found for us in their restaurant situated at the rear of the pub. It was cosy and homely, a cross between a beach side restaurant and someones front room. The food was phenomenal; I had beef with yorkshire and my Sister had turkey. It was all waitress served and 3 dishes of veg were served separately. My beef was cooked just right and was very tender, with 3 massive slices in the serving. The menu for the desserts was also wonderful. I opted for the steamed cherry bakewell pudding with custard and it was gorgeous. We even took a steamed treacle pudding home for my poorly Bro-in-Law who very much enjoyed it. My sister and my brother-in-law both live locally and they have said this will now become a regular fixture for their Sundays. Lucky them!

Booked for 9 and table was laid for 6. Mother days and the resturant was bus. Only 1 member of staff on duty. It was 30 minutes before we even got a drinks order placed. When ordering food at 2pm they were out of lamb shank and beef. They were out of nuggets from the children's menu. Waitress was clearly so pissed off and not afraid to show it. Food itself was okat but the restbofbit was a shambles.

Me encanta aquí.

We, (I and my) elderly parents have eaten a Sunday roast at the Bexley Arms several times. The food has always been good with generous servings as has the service. The only downside has been the long wait/slow service on two or three occasions. However, overall our experience at the Bexley has been very good. Indeed, my parents will continue to eat there in the future.

It was such a shame really that the service was so mixed, because the food and drinks were nice and the restaurant out the back looked really interesting. But for some reason we couldn't sit there, though it was empty because there were no tables for two. Quite slow to bring the food too.... But an interesting pub. Not sure we'll go again to eat, but perhaps a drink on quiz night.

I came across this pub incidentally. Looking out for a roast meal at Sunday in the middle of the day I wandered in. It has a lovely dining area at the back of the pub with skylights and palms. I ordered the roast beef (there were 3 roasts) and it came with Yorkshire pudding and SIX vegetables. It was tasty and filling, but I couldn't resist the yummy looking sundaes and ti was also excellent. At £9.90 the roast was good value. The dining area was very busy and the service was a little slow and confused, but bearable if you were not in a hurry. I am going back with friends.

If you are looking for some warm, welcoming English atmosphere where you can get a good feed, then this is the place. It's pretty much the archetypical "local" and it set in a quiet street. The locals are friendly, the innkeeper even friendlier and the food is delicious. It's a little piece of a disappearing England in a town rapidly disappearing into "internationalism".

We had passed this place a number of times but always assumed it was closed or if not the car park seemed full. However we went past on a Sunday morning and it was open and the car park had been redesigned and had spaces available so we went in. It's a very traditional English cafe .The menu is all on the wall and you have to queue up to order but there is a wide selection of breakfasts to have. We ordered a variation of full English and were given a mug of tea and bread and butter was brought to our table . When the cooked breakfasts arrived very quickly we were given top ups to our mugs of tea. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced around £8.00 including tea. They have also daily specials .It's much larger than I thought as there is an indoor patio area at the back and has lots of table space. It got busy later as the locals came in , if only the tourists knew what they are missing.

We came here during our minimoon stay. On arrival we were treated to a glass of champagne and from start to finish the service was 10/10. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were so attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious - the truffle pasta and chips were wonderful. The restaurant had beautiful decorations and despite being in a conservatory was really warm.

A great place to stop for a coffee and a cake. I was out cycling and we passed through Windsor. Located in the old ticket hall of the station, it’s a bustling cafe with tourists visiting Windsor castle and cyclists from all over, stopping here for a break. It’s really accommodating for cyclists with its indoor bike racks, heated glove warmers in the winter time for those who like winter riding. It’s the highlight of a ride when we head out this way
