I think the hotel is under new management. But it didn't show. Very pleasant friendly place to stay. Made to feel very welcome. I stayed on a Monday night when the kitchen was closed, but was still very kindly offered a couple of dishes. Homemade Lasagne was delicious. Rooms are basic but very clean. Will certainly be back.

We stayed here at short notice to attend a wedding. There weren't many taxis available all weekend but the staff went the extra mile to phone around drivers they knew personally to make sure they came and picked us up. The pub itself was very good.

We recently visited to eat and had an absolutely gorgeous steak meal. The double cooked chips were perfect, a generous portion of salad which most pubs lack, and an extremely tasty steak, cooked to perfection. We enjoyed it so much, we went again later in the week, and once again everything was excellent. We sent our compliments to the chef for a lovely meal. Well worth the money.

Stayed here whilst en route to them other side of the country. Ate some very good Spanish food on their new menu. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub was really busy. This is a sports pub, so lots of tv' and matches. There was music and a karaoke later on ,as it was a Saturday night. The room was basic but clean, could have done with a bedside lamp and glad the music stopped at 11.45 as it was very loud. Unfortunately the room wasn't en suite, but the bathroom was 2 doors away. At only £40, this is a good place to come and stay if you are at something like a family do, wedding or similar. It doesn't do breakfast apart from a Saturday morning breakfast club. But there is a Sainsbury's just down the road with good value and tasty food. A basic, clean and good value setting.

Made the mistake of booking this for 1 night when attending comic con. Stinking, horrible, boiling, rotten, uncomfortable dump with rude staff. No point going into how gros it was suffice to say I would've been dirtier if I had a shower. Ontop of the manky rooms I 'woke' (can't really sleep on the springs they pass off as a mattress) to a number of missed calls and a voicemail from 11.40pm which said "this is Dale from the Beverly Inn we can't accept you to the hotel because we found out you're a prostitute" now whether that's because they left my details open on the laptop after checking me in and one of the piss heads in the bar thought that was funny or whether it really was someone from the hotel and a case of mistaken identity I'll never know because when I confronted the old man who works there on the morning he blamed one of my friends who must have been "winding me up". I'm 34. I don't have mates that wind me up by calling me a prostitute. To clarify I'm not a prostitute. Just a woman who was with my fiance and 13 year old son whos only crime was booking this hole.

The Beverley has just launched there new menu, it's better then the last 1, the couple who have got it have been aloud to make their own menu up, rather than been told what to sell, it's not a big menu but what's on it is most people's choice, nothing too fancy, well worth a go... it's nice pub food....

Upon arrival, walked into the bar area to check in to be met with an awkward presence. The manager then told the young girl to show me to my room. Room was small but was OK. Everything seemed fine except later on that night the room was absolutely freezing there seemed to be no heating on. When I awoke from a patchy sleep I got up ready to get showered to find that the shower was not giving out any water so had to get dressed without shower go downstairs to check out then when I told the manager she said that they had not been turned on etc and although she did apologise and grant me a 10% discount on my stay, I still felt unpleased. I would not stay again.

Somebody needs to teach those you girls who work behind the bar how to pull pints, honestly I've had enough of going in and having a s*** pint. Bev and Donna are the only two who can give you a decent drink. It's also noticeable, how when bev is not working on an evening the place is quiet, honestly more life in a graveyard. Also rumours has it the chef sticks her finger in the food to check if it's cold. Also them hanging baskets are a pain in my backside. CCTV would also be an upgrade Could do with a lick of paint Nothing really for children Pools ques curly as a pigs dick #MakeTheBevGreatAgain

Me and the wife visited for a change in venue (other than the local) for a meal. The kitchen staff were having a bad day at the office. After being advised of an extended wait for food the starters arrived and the waitress/barmaid kindly offered a free drink for the wait, although this was appreciated I had to turn the chicken wings away as they were well over cooked( this was replaced with cheesy garlic bread but that was not great). Once our mains came out there was tomato on my plate which I asked for this not to be, the waitress noticed this and commented on it too. The mrs' lasagne was their take on it and came dry with a huge layer of cheese and a couple of tomato. I do like drinking here and will return at some point and try again but overall friendly staff good atmosphere kitchen just had a nightmare today.

We only had breakfast but it was fantastic and the service was superb, no complaints what so ever. Sitting in the Beer Garden on the new decking was so relaxing, prices are very decent too.

On visiting our favourite Yorkshire Wildlife Park required a cuppa & naughty cake stop. The Latte & Tea were excellent, the Honeycomb Cheesecake was delicious 🤤 Naughty & nice. The service was fast & efficient. Excellent refreshment stop.

We stopped here for one night to complete a run the next morning. Restaurant This is one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Most meals we have had elsewhere recently have had poor service or low quality food. Not here! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and very attentive. The service was just right; orders taken and plates cleared at appropriate times, and just the right amount of time between courses; not rushed and didn’t take ages. We share a garlic and cheese pizza bread which was tasty, hot and fresh. I had the pulled pork Yorkshire and my husband has the sausage and mash, again nice and hot and delicious; the vegetables were cooked perfectly too not mushy and not al dente. We had Bakewell tart for pudding and it was lovely to be asked whether we wanted it cold or warm. Hotel A really smooth check in again with really helpful and lovely staff. The room was small and basic but very clean and tastefully decorated. Nice and quiet apart from the odd train going past. Mini toiletries in the bathroom. Clean and fluffy towels. Tea making facilities and biscuits. Plenty of plug sockets. Good WiFi connection too. Thank you for a lovely stay and a lovely meal.

Everything is overpriced and poor/average quality and I mean everything. Ales are not kept well and wines etc are bought via their sister site (Shire Stores), food isn't great but expensive and they've gone through chefs like a knife through butter ! I wasn't there but my friend was in recently when the little lad (aka Bar Manager) refused to serve 2 customers at 10.50pm, at which point another customer offered to buy them a drink only to be told by the manager that they would be barred if they bought them drinks - wow, how to treat your customers. On the hygiene front, they made a massive thing out of finally getting a 5 star rating after the recent and well documented rat issues which is fair enough. However, the gents still stinks horrendous and of course the rat issue occurred when they previously had 5 stars - so much for the ratings. Previous employees and suppliers are still owed £1000's I keep popping in but there's no sign of things getting any better

Too many people had bought their drinks then just just hung around in the way at the bar. Singer performing was awful.
