We had a great night out at Bengal Tiger Lily. The staff are very friendly and helpful and helped us to celebrate a family wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is very relaxing and we will definitely be back again.

Never disappoints, a lovely meal. Me and my dad asked for the chilli chicken starter as a main meal and they did this for us. Lovely service. Will come again.

We ordered a modest selection of vegetable dishes and naan bread to collect yesterday and it was all excellent and delicious! The cauliflower and aubergine dishes were so fresh, still with lots of texture and not over-spiced or oily. The dhal was warming and wholesome and the spinach paneer gently savoury - it tasted like healthy home-cooked comfort food - a big thank you and well done to the Bengal Tiger Lily!

The nicest curry we have had in a long while. Hot, fresh, succulent vegetable ingredients & very tender flavoursome meat. Fresh sauce that perfectly reflected the menu description & spiciness. Perfect naan bread with combo of soft inner with crispy outer. Couldn't fault any aspect of the meal!

We hadn't booked and we were a little muddy after our walk but always friendly and accommodating here. Reviewed before a few times but this fantastic restaurant deserves another 5 circles, if only to out weigh the apparently false accusations of wives being glutenated!! Food was as always delicious and the service is first class. They have some excellent vegetarian options and we shared some really tasty dishes. The poppadoms came with five relishes, super quality. 250ml of Pinot £7.45, excellent value. Pint of Cobra £5.50. 10% service charge was deserved.

Overall experience was disappointing due to lack of communication and understanding We rang the restaurant to check did they do gluten free they assured us that they did When we arrived we asked again and yet again they said yes gluten free when the food arrived we checked again and yes what we ordered was said to by gluten free My partner is gluten intolerant she only ate the starter and she was glutened and was poorly for three days and is still getting over it I hope people will be aware We will never use or recommend this place to any one

First visit as staying locally. What a find. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing. Out Tandoori came out steaming and the chicken was beautifully cooked.

First time we’ve visited after moving here a few months ago. Wonderful service and food. My daughter loved the interior decor and cherry blossom trees - she is 9 so this is a great compliment ! We will be back soon !!

As always fantastic food, only criticism is the waiting time if ordering a take away. when I phone an order through, please tell me if its going to be an hour, I really do not mind. I'd rather that, than turning up after 1/2 hr only to be stood around looking like a spare part. It makes the area by the door look cluttered with people hanging around. overall, a fabulous restaurant, food amazing, friendly staff and will visit again.....

Been going to the Bengal Tiger Lily for along time. But on our last visit when we came to pay the bill they had put 10% service charge on the bill which we were not informed of when we selected our food. So be aware of this service charge they have added to the menu.

Excellent!!! Extensive menu and no problem in making specific requirements when asked. Very friendly and attentive staff, can’t fault at all. Will definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Came here for the first time tonight and can honestly say it won’t be the last!! The food was incredible, tasty and plentiful, and the soft drinks were fizzy (my pet hate in restaurants is flat drinks). Cannot praise it highly enough I think it was actually the best Indian meal we have ever had! Friendly staff and incredible food! Cant wait to return.

My mum and I went here for an evening meal and we were very impressed and pleased as always! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming as usual and the food was delicious. My mum had the Salmon Tikka and commented it was the best salmon she’s ever tasted. I had the Chicken Balti (my first time having this one) and I think it is my new favourite! Will definitely be returning for another meal!

I love this restaurant, so glad to be back. The menu has a great choice which makes you want to come back every week and try everything. Portion sizes are great and the food cooked to perfection. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place is spotless, very clean and has recently been decorated and has a lovely ambiance. Will be back soon. Only a 10-15min drive from Congleton; some people may choose places more central to town but it is definitely worth the short drive out for a great choice of quality food.

We got a take out tonight and it was amazing. Our home is difficult to find and the delivery driver was great. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the spicy chips- but everything was lovely. The pickle tray was much more varied, interesting and so delicious than we’ve ever had before. I’ve never felt the need to write a review before but it’s the best curry I’ve had in years!

Always enjoy our curry from here, nice flavours and always lovely service. One negative we wanted to make them aware of is the very lack of meat in the portions. There is probably around 5 very small pieces of chicken for example and only 4 king prawns. I would be fine if they were 5 large pieces of chicken however they never are (always a little bit of a let down when you are trying to divvy up your two curries you are both sharing!). Also on the prawns for the price i think there should be more sizable prawns in there. Otherwise no complaints or issues.

The food is absolutely delicious-the best Indian food I’ve had this year and you can order any curry as hot or as mild as you like .Ambiance is nice .had a really great Takeaway last weekend excellent tasty food very pleasant and efficient service.I had the lamb and fish dish .loved it

More sauce than meat - yet again fail to deliver - gave it another go and still only five pieces of meat in each dish - swimming in sauce needless to say not value for money and won’t be returning

My favourite Indian restaurant, food is excellent, atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is excellent as well. One of the thing which is a highlight for the restaurant is selection of food in the menu is quite diverse and at times some food available here is not available else where. For example, duck curry, king prawn biriyani and beef dishes. They are quite hospitable and at times even prepare curry to your own choice i.e. customised to your liking. Due to the COVID19 I am unable to visit, however it hasn't stopped me ordering take-away at least twice a month.

We moved into the area recently and couldn’t help but notice that BTL’s car park is ALWAYS full. If that isn’t a good sign o don’t know what is!We went for the first time to dine in the night of lockdown 2.0 and WOW. This place is everything you want. Loads of choice, great service, proper hospitable set of guys who run it. Food - magnificent. Amazing for what you pay. My new favourite place.

1st time we've eaten here, hand sanitizer at the door, we were escorted to our table which were well spaced out, the menu was available by scaning code on your phone if you didn't want to use the normal menu. The staff were very helpful explaining the heat of meals and how many portions of rice and nans we'd need. All the food was wonderful we really enjoyed it and we will certainly be going back.

This is a lovely resturant in the countryside with delicious food - the curry was the best I have had in England by far! Friendly, helpful staff, lots of vegetarian options. We will be back soon 😊

Had a really great takeaway tonight. Excellent tasty food, very pleasant and efficient service. I had the Tiger Lily special fish. Really superb Husband had chicken tikka with jalfrezi sauce. Loved it !

We weren't sure when we'd be landing at Monks Heath so hadn't booked and at 6.30pm the restaurant was packed.The staff here are professional, friendly and will go out of their way for you and we were soon at a table. Needed the WiFi and because the code was convoluted, one of the managers left his IPhone with us to copy from.Had some poppadoms whilst checking the menu; the usual 4 accompaniments but also a freshly chopped mixture of goodies.We shared two dishes; Chicken Pathia and a Lamb Tikka special. As commented previously on TA, the lamb was very tender. The Pathia was only two chillies on the menu but the waiter explained that it was quite hot, it was delicious. The Peshwari Naan was fabulous.The reviews on TA reflect the excellence of this restaurant and for that reason, I looked at the recent 'terrible' ones. 321Sales has only ever reviewed two restaurants, both badly rated and in one it was 'cold lamb chops' and in the other 'tough lamb chops'. Quite frankly, he should be banned from using the site.

Just had our first takeaway meal from here. Absolutely beautiful food! Very friendly and organised staff. Can’t wait to try more off there varied menu.

We were in The Dog at Peover and as BTL is on the way home and I had an online order discount, it would've been rude not to make an order.The staff were extremely busy when we arrived as it was NYE and the entertainment had just turned up. Also they had a long list of telephone orders, people dining in the restaurant and a number of online orders printed.However the staff here are really professional, well turned out and they explained what was going on and we waited no more than 5 minutes.The food was first class, the jumbo tiger prawns(?) were enormous with the shell opened up like a mini lobster. You can choose from a good selection of appetisers to have with your poppadoms and the onion chutney was excellent.We'll be here again soon for sure.

Iv only been twice as it’s a bit out the way for me but I will certainly start going a lot more. Food is so tasteful, the staff are very attentive. I went early on and got the last table that wasn’t reserved, so probably best to book although it was a Saturday. Well worth a visit.

Just had a lovely meal at Bengal tiger. The food was delicious and a nice quiet atmosphere. Really enjoyed it and everyone was very friendly and polite. Nice outlook to the green trees and sky. Nice and chilled place to eat out and Saad was a great host.

Visited here last night and the service was second to none , absolutely fabulous staff , nothing was to much trouble , alot different from my previous visit with new staff now ,, food was everything you expect from an indian curry, I would recommend anyone to visit here now and have a great meal ,, the staff made it for me

Amazing food, great staff always warm, welcoming and so kind and friendly to me and my family, we visit often for a curry as the food is outstanding and never had an issue with it, can recommend highly as they are amazing value for great food which is beautifully presented. It’s an overall pleasure to dine with them. I give the 5/5 as the service is impeccable with the entire dining experience as a whole.

Went on 17th July family. We had the early bird . The service and food were great. Tasty dishes of chicken madras chicken balti . Chicken Jalfrezi and lamb rogan josh for the main course and we all enjoyed the dishes . Definatley will come again

We visited last night (Friday) with two other couples. We often go out together for an Indian meal but had not been to the Bengal Tiger Lily for a while as we felt it had 'gone off' a bit. However, based on recent good reviews we decided to give it another try. However, as we arrived we were a bit put off by another couple, just leaving, who said they were very disappointed. Well, we certainly weren't!

Somewhat unprepossesing appearance from the outside but once inside, the place oozes quiet, calm, quality. Very restful in respect of table separations. The staff friendly and professional. A huge menu. The 4 of us started with the usual poppodums and assorted relishes. In my case I chose a chicken jalfrezi and we shared outstanding naan bread. The portion sizes were just right and my jalfrezi spot on in terms of spicy heat. I was very impressed.

As a regular and local to Bengal Tiger Lily living in Nether Alderley we love going for the food.

We have been here several times. The food is always excellent, the service is friendly, and the table spacing allows for private dining.

This was the 2nd time my wife and I have visited this restaurant in the last few weeks. The previous occasion was with friends, but this time it was just the two of us. We booked online only 20 minutes before arriving as we just had a taste for something spicy.

Tried Bengal last night and omg what a surprise !! I must have eaten at all the Indians in the Manchester area previously being a big foodie, this place takes the top spot though knocking Akbar’s and Ashers off!

Received a menu through the door last week. Not one for really bothering to take note of this type of advertising. However looked through the leaflet and thought some of the dishes sounded different and decided to give it a go.

I am new customer received a leaflet last week.my first time here last weekend really friendly welcome very pleasant staff .collection ready in half an hour no waiting around. Nice and clean bright front of house.delicious smells eminting from the kitchen in parking area. The food was hot very delicious could not have enjoyed it any more then I did. Definitely the restaurant is best Indian curry house in Cheshire.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The service was great and attentive without hassling. Did have to wait a while for starter but it was worth the wait. The starters were huge and so much meat. Full of flavour and presented well. Mains were of the same high standard and ample rice to share between two and the best Peshawari nan we have tasted.

This is an old favourite of ours. Our first visit in the new year was once again a triumph. Great service. Exceptional food and always willing to go the extra mile. Tandoori lamb chops were delicious and perfectly cooked. My goat rogan josh was outstanding! Well done team Tiger Lily.

Book in here as a gift from my daughter for Christmas. This was our first visit to this Restaurant. Arrived on a cold Tuesday night expecting possibly us been the only customer to venue out on this cild rainy night. Well it just goes to show that if you give excellent service alongside high quality homemade food then people do leave their homes on these cold nights.The starters were to die for my partner had the lamb chilli chops and three huge meaty chops came out on a sizzler plate with the most tasy homemade dips. I had a sizzle platter for one again this was amazing. We both had Handi dishes. Love how food is served to table on a trolley for that extra special feel. The head waiter was so friendly and we had a lovely chat at the end of the evening with him.Im so shocked to see the poor recent review on here i would question how genuine it is because tonight we were blow away by everything you should recieve from dining out, and cant see some of the bad points they wrote about this place. We are foodie people and appreciate good food , so dont let thst bad review put you off.... Trust this review if not been , try this place and im sure you will be telling your friends like we will be doing. This is not on our door step but will be back soon.

visited this palace last Saturday night with my family. my friend recommended and seen good reviews as well.i am not used to on review. the head waiter is very ungrace. drinks and papadams came after 25 minutes. waited about 55 minutes then stater and main course arrived food was good but tandoori dish and naan bread quiet cold and burn.very shocking service never come again.

Flavoursome food, professional staff and good surroundings make for an enjoyable experience. Good car-parking space. Worth a visit.

On my first visit we were made to feel special. Taste preferences were discussed and recommendations made. I never pick a lamb dish but, guess what, I had the best lamb bhuna I have ever had and my Mrs. had a perfect very mild coconut curry. (She doesn't like curry) We will definitely visit again soon.

I have been to The Bengal Tiger Lily several times and it never lets down! The choice on the menu is excellent, the King Prawn Puri is excellent and the the chicken handi is another top dish. Saad, the owner is welcoming and will give you great advice on specials and other dishes you may not know.

Last weekend I made an order to takeout. The food was good and well prepared. When I ordered the food the man I was speaking with wasn’t very good at communicating with me, however the service is good.

I visited this place last Sunday with my friends the restaurant was quiet busy when we entered.the manager took my order after half an hour then food came on time fresh food well prepared and very delicious however we'r not satisfied for their service it was very poor.

I pass here most days and this was only my 3rd visit.

We had a takeaway and to be honest the curry, although tasted as it should you could count tbe pieces of chicken on one hand - i could however the sauce - there is just to much - the five pieces of chicken were swimming in it and this isnt the first time - tbh i wont bother again - we want something for our money not a bowl full of sauce and token pieces of meat - may as well get a jar from tesco and make our own

This is a great place to eat and chill - no pressure to order with friendly staff and excellent freshly cooked food . I live in Congleton but this is my Indian restaurant of choice .

Met some friends for a meal here. Have passed by many times but never been in. It was quiet as it was a Monday evening but the food is really good, service attentive and what I really liked was, even though there was a menu with a decent selection, a personalised dish was available to order. Most places seem to stick rigidly to the menu but our waiter was pleased to discuss specifics on ingredients and how spicy the food would be.

It is the third time I have visited this restaurant now as we have family that live nearby and they are regulars. They never have a bad word to say about the place and I can see why. Fantastic food with helpful and friendly service. If I didn’t live 160 miles away I’d be here every week.

After a busy week away we decided to treat ourselves on the way home. We have had takeaways from here a couple of times and were very pleased with them so decided to eat in. What a lovely experience. Great food, great service, very pleasant surroundings and a good price. Will definitely return.

Our first time at bengal tiger lily was on the way from the airport to our hotel, we passed it and while driving passed I was intrigued and googled its reviews. Based on this we turned around and ate here. A couple of months ago we travelled especially to eat here, and ordered new dishes which were excellent. The spices and cooking are so varied and tasty that it just calls you back. I am looking forward to our next trip.

We eat out a lot and have ventured up and down eating at various curry houses and in most respects, this one was well above average.

We are regular weekend customers I know the curries we ordered are supposed to be sweet but to over power a curry with sugar has go to take some doing.it ruined and that's shame.

Not sure why this has so many good reviews , it's average at best . Staff seemed to be pretty miserable , only 1 had a smile and slow service . Food was ok but not fresh meat . Disappointing after reading the good reviews and looks nice from the outside

Myself and my friend on average come here for a curry once a week, sometimes twice a week. The food is normally excellent and the service also. However, the last time we visited, the waiter explained how he only charged us for two small bottles...
