Bella Italia Brighton in Brighton and Hove

We were here on the spur of the moment and what a treat . Sam our waiter was very friendly and helpful nothing seemed to faze him. The food was served promptly and hot . We also interacted with the manageress sorry forgot your name she was lively and fun. We spent a good 2hours there which flew past all in all a very enjoyable evening. Would definitely recommend this place

The worst meal I've been served in many years. I booked Bella Italia for an easy, quickish, pre-theatre meal with my three teenage children. The woman who greeted and seated us was perfectly pleasant. The service after that was just about passable. The food really was low grade. It reminded me of eating out in the 70's and 80's as a kid. I ordered risotto, my daughter a burger. Neither were available so I ordered spaghetti bolognese and my daughter (and two other children) ordered pizza. The bolognese was a small portion of tasteless, slightly grey meat sauce on okay pasta. In all seriousness I would say there was about a tablespoon of mince in the whole meal. The pizzas were like average supermarket pizzas. Just okay. To pay a hundred quid for this was the final insult. Beyond disappointing. Definitely will not be returning. So much choice in Brighton this place is easily avoided.

Staff were friendly and attentive, good was tasty, we had a good birthday celebration 🎉 We would go again when next in Brighton

Slow service, rude waitress with attitude problem. She clearly hates her job. Food mediocre. Won't be visiting again in a hurry.

Food was good but we had an issue when the bill arrived as I had used Tesco Clubcard vouchers. They took the voucher off the non set menu items and soft drinks but still charged £12 more than they should for the rest. After a lot of arguing, I just paid as the waitress was rude and wouldn't accept what I was saying.

The Best Bella Italia we've been to. Food and wine excellent . Staff pleasant . Only downside was the background music a bit loud . If the Cambridge Bella Italia was as good as this I'd be very happy.

The food was really nice and came quickly. Our waiter Hubert was very attentive and friendly.

Went to eat out with my boyfriend to celebrate a milestone. Even though it was busy, was met with wonderful service by the waiter. Hubert was entertaining, fast, kind, professional, friendly, efficient and very well spoken. Received food in time, quick service and overall wonderful hospitality by Hubert. Would return again for the service received.

Our main was good but our dessert came out burnt and was almost completely inedible. Service was awful, had to ask multiple times for things and they always took ages to bring what we asked for. Only good thing about it was the mains, everything else was bad.

Went for the promotion of 5 pound pasta's, cannot fault the food whatsoever and our waiter was wonderful. However, it looked like the manager just seemed really cold and rude towards the other team members working. Let down the mood as i felt bad for the other waiters working :(

went in for the £5 pasta, all though spending little money, service was poor. nobody greeted us and was just walked to a table. Water slammed down infront of us. spicy sausage pasta was recommended but very oily. when asking for the toilet was told ‘down the stairs where else would it be?’ by the women who i’m guessing is a manager? out the window next to us she stood on the phone cigarette in hand. looked stressed. then came straight back in without washing her hands. after all this i even had to go and find her to pay and was told to sit down and wait while she continued to lay tables. wasn’t even asked if my food was good at all during my experience. very very disappointed. the women with the glasses seemed lovely wish she continued to serve us.

Visited during a weekday lunchtime. Very satisfied, staff were kind and service was quick. Food was great. Would recommend!

Brilliant!! Excellent price and a great atmosphere, waiter was really nice and they were able to cater to my dietary restrictions without making a fuss.

We just popped in on the off chance of getting a table. It was very busy. We both had pizza. They were both very tasty and fresh. The staff were very quick to attend. We had a lovely lunch. I can recommend it.

Far from being authentic and not at all good italian food, probably bought from the nearest supermarket and heated up. The waitress was rude to say the least.

Le serveur nous accueille assez froidement. Le temps de préparer notre table, il nous demande d’attendre dehors avec nos enfants (début janvier 🥶). Les plats sont corrects sans plus (pizza un peu sèche, pâtes avec une sauce tomate avec peu de saveur), et il manque pas mal de choses qui sont pourtant annoncées sur la carte. Le menu enfant est par contre bien fait (pas mal de choix) et peu cher.

Had a great time here! Our server was Em and they were the best server I have ever had. They definitely deserve some recognition for their amazing customer service.

The ribs were literally smothered in barbecue sauce to the point that you couldn’t even taste the meat. That is not the way you season it

Went here for lunch today, food was lovely but service could have been improved. We were going to have the 3 course set menu but nobody came to find out which desserts we wanted. I had to go and ask for the bill. The people at the next table had a long wait for their coffee and another couple walked out when nobody came to take their order. This is such a shame as the service was good when we arrived and the food was great.

In a street of other Italian Restaurants Bella Italian although a chain had a nice vibe and a pleasant decor. The food was excellent, and my server, Stelios was especially attentive, yet not intrusive. He clearly has a good handle on how to serve in a busy restaurant, especially when faced with staff shortage. The wine was lovely and the dessert rounded off the meal perfectly.

Hostess in the door was so kind and polite. But service wasn’t that good. When we ordered carbonara, waitress didn’t doublecheck and they brought pizza instead of pasta what was a bit weird. But pizza was quite nice. My Caesar salad was good and I’m not sure how it presented in menu, but usually it serves with Parmesan flakes and cherry tomatoes. Here I’ve had lettuce, bread crumbs, chicken and sauce. The taste was good. I totally don’t recommend tiramisu because it’s more coffee cake than creamy Italian dessert.

Only ones in the restaurant as there ovens were not working. They had phoned me earlier to advise and when we arrived they opened the door for us and put down a ramp for my mobility scooter. They'd even cleared a table to get my scooter in safely. As soon as we sat down they came over to clarify what they could and couldn't serve. I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to have a pizza but instead had Chicken Milanese 941 kcal Breaded and butterflied chicken breast dusted with pecorino cheese, with melted garlic butter to pour It was so yummy the chips were divine. My mum had the Marco Polo pasta with duck and hoisin sauce and loved that too. We finished it by sharing some gelato. As the issues with the oven we had a private dining experience. I love Bella Italia and always have done. Always my 1st choice if it's available.

Sam and Laura were amazing hosts and servers, really appreciated the kindness and patience they had with our large booking - will be back again :)

Love this little place, service is always spot on and the food is great. They always manage to accommodate me even if I don't have a reservation.

Really enjoyed our quick lunch here. Pizzas were light, fresh and flavoursome; pasta was perfectly cooked. Not too pricey considering the quality and location. Service was prompt and friendly.

Last night we were lucky to get a table pre show in Brighton - it was busy everywhere I guess due to half term. We were welcomed by a very friendly team and ordered pizzas. What happened next restored our faith in human nature! I received some bad news and it was clear that we would have to leave straightaway. The warmth and care shown by Eleanor (manager, I hope I’ve got your name right) and Jake was above and beyond. We left a short while later with boxed pizzas and even a dessert. We ate some en route and during what has been a long night. Thank you SO much. We will come back asap and enjoy a meal properly.

Great friendly service and delicious food. We had lasagna and pepperoni pizza, sounds simple but both were just really tasty. Next time in Brighton this will be my first stop.

We came here for lunch upon recommendation, but the staff seem unhappy and reluctant, there is poor service and lack of information. If you value yourself you should try somewhere else

Pizza was burnt, they should know better than to dish up burnt food, while standing outside waiting for someone to come and find us a table, four people got poached by the Italian restaurant opposite, service was very good though five stars for that

Hatten eine Salamipizza, eine Lasagne mit den Menusalaten. Das Essen war ok aber mehr auch nicht. Die Desserts, einmal Semifreddo und einmal Cheescake beides nicht wirklich ein Renner. Der Service war nett aber langsam. Der Martiniespresso war sehr gut.

While strolling through Brighton on our way to train station looking for somewhere to have a quick dinner we came across Bella Italia and we couldn’t have been happier. Warm welcome and got a table on the outdoor patio. Had pizza and salad both were excellent, great inexpensive choices for glasses of wine. The service was really friendly, a nice finish to our day trip to Brighton from London. Highly recommend!! £58 before service charge for shared starter of calamari and pizza 2 salads and 4 glasses of wine… all fantastic.

The place was nice, with interesting decor and many tables (inside and outside). The food was not that good overall, we got an "original" carbonara that was overly watery - leaning towards being a soup - and a rigatoni amatriciana that was a bit plain, but otherwise ok.

The food tasted very bad. I tried Pasta Carbonara and honestly it is not worth the 15£ at all. I wouldn't have paid even £5. The staff did not behave nicely at all. They were making faces, as if we had eaten there for free. I do not recommend the restaurant at all.

Food ok but nothing special and expensive for what you get. The salad was literally several bits of lettuce leaves. Also the outside order app was very slow and not easy to use.

Visiting Brighton, I was trying to find a nice restaurant to eat with my family. But, really, we was disappointed by food and prices , we ordered 3 portions of pasta carbonara, witch every portion is cost around 15£ , but comes with no cheese, we ask for cheese, but they bring us after we nearly finish the plates. Very bed eat and bed experience, small plate for price they want. BELLA ITALIA IS just the Name, the brand, All the team from there , they supposed to go and try different restaurants, turkish, or English, witch the food is better and worse the price.. I am not going back to BELLA ITALIA RESTAURANT NEVER AND THE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE AND KNOW THIS!!!. THANKS

Food was great. Very tasty. Atmosphere nice too. Service is not good. Ordered just 2 dishes, one was wrong! We basically had our dinner at different times 🤣. Bill was wrong too. Sent it back twice!!

My wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary at Bella Italia where we had dined at previously. Initially the service was good, we were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly. However once we had finished our main meals, it took a considerable amount of time (one hour) for the waiting staff to check on us, despite the restaurant not seeming busy, leading us to feel as if we've been forgotten. We were excited to have dessert, however we couldn't keep waiting any longer and I seeked out a member of staff for the bill, not bothering to wait even longer for some dessert. Even after this it took approximately half an hour to be seen to again, further reinforcing the feeling of being forgotten. We won't be returning here for any further dining nor recommending to any of our friends and family.
