I guess the experience in this restaurant is what you might expect. The food was ok my starter king prawns was very good but my wife’s 4 or 5 mushrooms looked way out of date. The mains were passable. The waitress was very good and it’s in a great location.

Spent the day shopping at Gunwharf. We spontaneously decided to stay for a meal, checking many menus for our party of five we settled on Bella Pasta. It had the best mix of options and wasn’t just pizza or pasta. We hadn’t been to a Bella Pasta for years so thought we’d give it a go. Really enjoyed the experience with great service from Ivo throughout our meal. Would go back again for sure.

Ivo was a great waiter to us this evening. There was no wait for service and he was great at checking in on us throughout the evening.

Food was delicious. Great choice on the menu. Isa, our waitress was friendly, efficient and helpful. Food came out quickly, but we weren't hurried and our waitress was attentive to our needs. Set menu was good value.

First evening out without the children in 6 months and it was super calming and relaxing. Sabina was very quick with her service. Will return on our next child free night :)

Review for Bella Italia, Portsmouth Our experience at Bella Italia in Portsmouth was extremely disappointing. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We spent more than 50 pounds and left hungry. The pizza was rock hard with barely any toppings – honestly, the worst pizza we’ve ever had. We ended up waiting an absurdly long time. Two other tables who came after us were served, ate, and left before we even got our pizzas. On top of that, staff were cleaning nearby tables with a strong spray while we were eating, which was unpleasant and unappetizing. To make matters worse, we waited an additional 20-25 minutes just for a simple chocolate brownie. We expected far better food and service. Instead, it was a complete waste of money and time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We visited Bella Italia for the first time. We were nicely surprised by the friendliness of staff, speed of service, tasty food, and atmosphere overall. We definitely will visit this place again ❤️

We swore off Bella after a horrendous experience at Plymouth, but the team (especially Sabina) have restored our faith! There were 5 of us all having different meals and drinks, and everything was yummy and served with a smile.

I'm picky but the food was still good and the server Ivo was amazing. Would definitely come again.

The offer for January is very good and we were very impressed with the service. Last year I wasn't so impressed with the staff, who they have currently have been really good, friendly and professional. Ivo and Andera were exceptionally great at customer service, very welcoming and professional.

It was truly lovely! I was gifted a voucher from my workplace for Christmas, the staff were really lovely, very fast and helpful, we booked online so it made getting a table very easy, glad we did because there was a queue of people very often, but the other customers waiting for tables didn’t seem to wait long. The food was brilliant, we’ll definitely be back again. Great atmosphere, clean environment, and wonderful staff. Great job, and a massive thank you to the staff at the Portsmouth branch.

Foods good. But the service is terribly slow. Used to come here often. Haven’t been in a year and nothing changed. Always short staffed and long waits for food, although good.

Food was amazing came out hot and quickly only thing I would say is the service is lacking and wasn't impressed with the 10% service fee that you only find out about on the bill and according to Google it says they can only charge 10% if it is a group of 8 or more we were a table of 2 and the table next to us were also complaining of this issue.

ivo was brilliant. He was always checking up to make sure everything was good. he had are drinks brought over in less then 2mins Big well done to him. sebstain had all the sauces brought over straight away. there was no slow service to any table Well done to them

Visited on Monday 30th December at around noon. It was very busy but they managed to accommodate us. Our server Jessie was great, and took great care of us during our time at the restaurant. Our meal was lovely and overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Served today by Ivo, he was attentive and was extremely polite and gave a genuine positive welcome. Food was great quality and great price for portion sizes.
