Zizzi at Gunwharf Quays never disappoints, but this visit was truly outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, and the vibrant atmosphere made for a fantastic dining experience. Whether you’re visiting for a casual meal or a special occasion, this place delivers on all fronts. To start, we ordered the calamari, and as always, it was absolutely perfect. Light, crispy, and seasoned just right, it’s the ideal way to kick off any meal. It arrived piping hot with a delicious garlic aioli that complemented it beautifully. Every bite was full of flavor, and it’s easily one of the best calamari dishes around. For the main course, I went for the Rustica Sofia pizza, and I have to say—it’s the best pizza on the menu. The thin, crispy base, the perfect balance of toppings, and that touch of spice made every bite an absolute delight. It was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of crunch and a flavorful tomato base that tied it all together. My dining companion had the mushroom risotto with chicken skewers, and it was a complete game changer! The risotto was creamy, rich, and full of deep, earthy flavors, while the chicken skewers were juicy, smoky, and perfectly charred. The combination of the two was simply divine—something we’ll definitely be ordering again. The food alone is reason enough to visit, but when you add in the fantastic service and buzzing atmosphere, Zizzi Gunwharf becomes an easy five-star experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. All in all, an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. If you’re in Gunwharf and looking for top-notch Italian food, Zizzi should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to go back!

It was a busy Sunday lunchtime but Darina was very attentive, even letting us know when she was going on a break and her colleague would be taking over. Great atmosphere and great food. The set menu is always good value.

Marcin and Oli were very good hosts, attentive and kind throughout our meal. My only constructive feedback is that we wanted to use a Zizi voucher in the restaurant, we were told on the front door this would be fine. When the bill arrived we were then told we couldn’t use them which was a little annoying.

Julia, our waitress, was both helpful and competent and in a change to the norm for a uk chain certainly gave the impression of wanting to make our meal out a great experience. In terms of Zizzi's food and atmosphere it's consistent with the chain. It's good but ultimately a chain. Useful if you want pizza in gunwarf and want a predictably good meal for average for the location price.

We were met at the door by a lovely lady on a very busy Saturday service lunch time and she made room for me, my friend and pur two baby girls. Our waitress was Danina who was incredibly kind and thoughtful, as well as efficient. The food was amazing and the team was very forgiving, even considering hpw much of a mess the children made. Thank you for such a lovely time!!

Visited Zizzi’s Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays) with my Partner for our 1 Year Anniversary. Our first date when we got together was Zizzi so we thought we would keep the tradition going and visit for our Anniversary. Our server Julia was very polite and helpful as we had a One4All voucher to use for our bill which was gifted from some friends, and I wanted to make sure I was able to use it! We were! Service was very quick, efficient, and the food was top quality! Warm, fresh, and tasty! My Partner had the Mozzarella Bomb for the Starter and I had the Bruschetta, both was exquisite and presentation was appealing! For the mains I had the Spaghetti Chorizo Carbonara which was creamy and cheesy. My Partner for her main had the Spaghetti Bolognese which is her favourite! Finally, for Dessert we both had the Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie! Our Drinks for the night was a Morello Cherry Refresher Mocktail and a Passion Fruit Sparkler which, both, were refreshing and left us both wanting more! The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars in the pricing, it’s very pricey for what you receive and for the size of portions but well worth it as a treat every now and again! Would go back in a heartbeat!
