Fantastic experience, our server Rob was a delight. Food was great and atmosphere was perfect even for what turned into a wet Saturday afternoon.

Ate here on Easter sunday. Food was nice, pub meal nothing too fancy. We got the fish and chips each with some sides to share. Service from the lady who showed us to our table was great. Think she was the manager. However, the girl who was to be our server did not do a very good job, unfortunately. We got refillable drinks, not once did she come over and ask if we needed a refil. She put the mains down, and i asked for mayo. She brought over 2 small sachets of mayo. However, i asked for more as that was not enough for me and my partner. We waited 10 mins for our side dishes to eat with the main. I had to ask someone else to look for them as our server didn't come back. She didn't bring the extra mayo either. I was halfway through my meal when i approached her at the till and asked for the extra mayo. I was told "two seconds" while she continued doing what she was doing. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting. Enough for my partner to look back for me to see what was taking so long. She then left and came back with 2 more small sachets of mayo. I said thanks and went back to my table. She did not approach our table to ask how the meal was or refil drinks. She didn't even approach the table once we had finished to clear the table or offer the bill to us. We had to ask another server from another location for the card machine. I understand Easter was a busy time however the location we were sat in, did empty whilst we were sat there. The server didn't make any eye contact at all for me to flag her down and ask for assistance.

Food was lovely, all came out hot and good portion sizes. We were served by Rob who was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon :)

Just like weatherspoons. I was expecting better, however, dirty sticky tables and average service. I had fish and chips, small portions, and cheap de frosted food. Three of us dined here, and ALL the food was poor. Poor food, poor portions, and expensive prices.

Hi sorry to say staff wonderful the gentleman that check my booking unfortunately I put the wrong destination but very accommodating Lisa our waitresses very good and pleasant but unfortunately meal wasn’t as good as last time but good price so bench mark what can go wrong with chicken wings & Fish n Chips ( Haddock) or chicken Gorjons Fish n Chips Bread crumbs on nicely done but disappointing not like chicken wings check comparison with Millers & C sorry Fish not very tasty maybe it’s because I prefer Cod opted for Haddock also Pollock definitely don’t like that but more batter than bits of fish ( best for fish n chips (Coastline Blyth) but at the end of the day it’s personal preference I don’t want anyone to be put off by my taste buds on the extra plus side lovely clean tidy great views lovely staff

Staff were brilliant on Bank Holiday Monday, Had a lovely breakfast with the 4 grandchildren ,& daughter ,the price was brilliant ,kids could eat free,very clean ,would recomend to all.

Went as a family of five for a birthday meal on 25th March. Dave was our waiter and was absolutely fantastic, always friendly and helpful even though he and the team were rushed off their feet with an unanticipated number of walk-ins. Food was great, definitely worth the wait (there were only 2 chefs in as well as a short staffed wait team so a short delay is completely understandable.) The boys both had burgers, which they thoroughly enjoyed (and have asked for since!). I also had a burger, which was very good. My sister had the smothered chicken and my mum had, in her words, the best salad she’s had at a restaurant - the Beefeater Cobb Salad. Would absolutely recommend, and will definitely be back!

The location is the best I have dined at and has exceptional views of the sea. I was met by David who tried his best to help us as we had arrived not booking in advance. He was extremely busy but with great effort he found us a slot. Well done David and thank you.

Food was disgusting, fish was fried so bad, Sunday lunch was pitifully., intact ot was al terrible, won't be visiting there again. And wouldn't recommend it.

Good location. We went for lunch in January and the service was really slow but the food itself was tasty. We went again for a buffet breakfast and this was good, kids eat free. Blue light discount available on food, not drinks (I think), only if not part of another deal.

Had a really good steak meal. Served by Rob who was just excellent from start to finish. The steak was really well cooked and just how we ordered it. Rob was attentive, friendly and prompt with his service. Later in the week we were able to join rob and his guitar friends in the bar area to listen to a selection of music and songs - great evening

Popped in here during a Saturday afternoon and was expecting it to be heaving but it wasn't too bad. Good service and decent food. The waitresses looked a bit run off their feet so I think we just missed the dinner rush but they still did a great job at accommodating us and nearby tables.

Hi I’am Lewis world wide burger connoisseur from Newcastle Upon Tyne, today on the 28th of February, I decided that i was going to indulge in a burger, to be specific the beef double stack burger, the waitress came to our table and asked us what we wanted to eat, I replied the double stack beef burger please with charisma, 20 minutes later I was presented with a spectacular burger and I knew that I was ready to embark in a mission of taste, my initial impression was perfect presentation and sublime quality the first bite was immaculate the sauce was powerful and tasted like a heavenly fountain of liquidised stars and the beef was cooked divinely with care and positivity when i progressed to the final bite, the burger exploded into a delectable river of happiness and meandered through the unexplored universe visiting the most magnificent destination of all time, In addition to this the fries where salted incredibly and the texture was crunchy yet soft and smooth 9.93501/10 burger ranking itself 4th in my burger list very well done beefeater Lewis(world wide burger connoisseur )

Don't you just hate it when they insist on placing you on a table shoved in the corner or in a crowded spot, when they are not busy? You cannot use a table for 4 because they might get busy - the table that I sat at for breakfast the day before (passing an hour later they are still quiet) I left and went to the lovely cafe down the block

Been numerous times and it's been really good. This time the steaks were still very tasty but not cooked as asked. No Ribeye on the menu (explaination later). The Fillet I had was a scraggy end bit, not 4 oz for sure and very poor; not the melt in the mouth experience by any means (I had the 3 mini steaks). When I asked it was just a simple it is 4oz (the 3 weren't as big as the 8oz Sirloin and differing sizes, the fillet obviously being a medallion!! Between the 3 they were nice but several chewy bits. The other person with us had the said Sirloin, supposedly medium rare, it was rare in the middle with a fair bit indigestible. When highlighted it was dismissed as being one of the better ones as they were changing suppliers and the reason there was no Ribeye! It was such a well - 'tough' (excuse the pun) but in a lapsidaiscal but not impolite way; we didn't pursue it but with 3 meals bought and obviously we weren't overly impressed you'd think an offer of coffee or our soft drinks free or something would have been appropriate! It won't probably put us off altogether but I'd not want to be paying full price that's for sure and will await discounts. Such a shame as it could be very good indeed given a little bit of care and attention in obtaining good cuts, cooking it as requested and a little bit of extra attention to what the customer is saying to you, with a little empathy, as though it was you that had just paid for a meal we can't afford to have that often as a treat! (you know - the ones that ultimately pay your wages!).

Nice Sunday lunches although not much food for the price tag. (Roast potatoes were amazing) The limited staff on duty provided a good service but seemed about 3 staff too short for the amount of customers

Due to rowntree haired chubby female manager on date 7 Jan 2024 Very very ignarant an aggressive towards people putting money in to the buisness as for her description she refused to provide her name for this complaint,, So the owner sees this I've eaten in your restaurant most days for the last week 7 of us have had meals breakfast an evening dinner that's 14 meals you've lost income on plus puddings I've tipped your waiter Rob several ocations he's an asset to your company ,, the lady dark hair chubby 1 of manger she said .she's lost you a lot of money 💰 extremely rude she even unplugged my phone yes someone's property without asking me I'll never be eaten there again it's a battle to get sauce provided normally its all in a wooden basket at basic restaurants I've been in most days over last 2 months above is why your always half empty .. half empty restaurant on sea front can only be staff bad or food bad never again our money will not be wasted

Five of us had our Christmas dinner at Beefeater Whitley Bay & we would like to say how brilliant it was. The food & service was top class, we will definitely be going back. Our server was Donna who was great.

We visited Whitley Bay Beefeater on 24/11/23 for the first time. Our table was booked for 7:15, our food wasn’t served until 9:10. We had 4 children in our party that were getting restless. Before the meal was served I had to look for a waitress to order some drinks, it took another 25minutes for these to be served; we were giving this round of drinks free. The restaurant was very busy and I only seen 3 waitresses. When the meals came they were not to the high standard we receive when visiting Moorfarm Beefeater. We ordered a number of mixed grills all served differently; some with mushrooms and tomato’s, some without and some with 2 eggs, others with 1. One of the mixed grills requested well done steak, this was pink when cut into. The tables were not cleared between courses. After waiting over an hour for our main meals we were told that there was a delay with food, had we been told this when ordering we would not of waited. We were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and the service we received was very disappointing and the food was not to a high standard. I messaged them through the website so they explain before writing but have not had a reply. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Bad customer service which we did complain about at the time (as I don't ordinarily like just leaving bad reviews) but felt they completely ignored us. Whole process took way too long - 2.5 hours and the place was pretty empty at points. 2 young children beside themselves with boredom. Husband ordered a burger and got completely the wrong thing. It was meant to be chicken (it was just a normal burger) with sausage and bacon (both absent). Didn't come with a jug of gravy. Explained this in full to the waitress who went to speak to the chefs then came back and said it was the right burger just didn't have the bacon on cause they had ran out. Ignored what we said about sausage, being a normal burger not chicken, not having gravy. Gave us 2 pounds off for the missing bacon, ignored that it was completely the wrong thing in the first place. Weren't wanting a monetary discount as my husband actually ate it before realising (trying to placate two kids was distracting as it was 1.5 hours after arriving that our food came). We would have liked some acknowledgement of their mess up. Ordered a side of loaded roasties which they forgot to make. This is fine, stuff like this happens all the time. Instead of coming back and verbalising this to us the waitress just disappeared and didn't come back. This happened a lot, the waitresses would just start serving other people when they were there in the middle of sorting stuff out which is probably why you spend so long sitting around. Adult food came out 10 mins after the kids food so they were almost finished we got ours. Mine came with salad which was just dry and undressed. The waitress kept putting all our drinks down Infront of our 2 year old instead of anywhere else on the table. All in all, some of this stuff I wouldn't have complained about. I'd not even have complained about the burger being incorrect if they just owned up to it but it's poor customer service to completely ignore what the customer has said because it doesn't suit you. Positives: apart from how long the process takes, they do have colouring sheets for the kids which are a nice touch. Waitress spent time engaging them which was nice. Nice festive atmosphere. Price for kids set meal decent.

Booked for Sunday lunch to be told when we get there they don’t serve Sunday lunch anymore. Ordered Turkey roast from Christmas menu, not great, took forever to come and at this point there was only a couple of other couples in the restaurant who were already eating. Decided to order dessert, literally an icecream, took 35 minutes to come. Spent an hour and 45 minutes in their altogether getting basic food. Staff were nice but service was so slow and food just wasn’t great at all. Definitely won’t be back.

Been to Beefeater Whitley Bay, Spanish City twice now beginning of September and November 2023. The food always tastes so good and full of Flavour. Booking seating is the best way to go. I've sat in both sides and staff are so nice. I would look at online menus before deciding to go first. Beefeater is a costly place but really worth it.

The only thing to be aware of is the Parking No listed on carpark. Post does not work with your Parking App, it tries to say ur parked in more expensive carpark, like Morisons. But Beefeater is lovely & Frieandly Staff, food very nice esp the Mixed Grill & Fish n Chips, worth a visit. I also found Breakfast was good with Good choice from menu, inc boiled or poached eggs if ask for them. ALL STAFF ARE GREAT, they are helpfull. Danni was just 1 of them

Came for a meal with my fiance, we didn't book, and even though they were busy, as we came on a Sunday where everybody comes out for roasts, they sat us in the bar area. Food was tasty, cocktails were lovely, and both the atmosphere and staff were lovely! Deffo recommended that people give this place a go!

Went in for drinks after sightseeing , very clean and barman was really friendly and informative about the local area, didn't order food on this occasion but other customers were clearly enjoying their meals.

After a frosty start from one of the people working there which almost saw us walking out things got so much better. We was lucky to be served by a wonderful lady called Tanya, who was the most loveliest of people you would want to meet. My husband is blind and without any promping Tanya behaved around him like she did it every day. Explaining what she was doing and where she was placing things and asking HIM not me what HE wanted, she did all this with a smile on her face while being run ragged due to a lack of staff, this made our experience there a very relaxing evening. Thank you Tanya and if we're ever in the area again we will definitely be dining there again, but only if the lovely Tanya is on duty.

Friendly, helpful staff. Served with a smile. Went for all you can eat breky. It's a table service. So you have to tell the server what you want. We prefer to get our own in our own time. If you want fizzy pop instead of tea,coffe or fruit juice it's not included in price you have to pay separately. You have to pay for parking now which we didn't realise until we were told. The scran was nice.

Asked for recommendations of best snack for someone in a hurry for a show. It was not busy, so I took their advice and ordered. 45 minutes later, nothing had arrived, so enquired and the food immediately arrived soggy clearly forgotten about under a warming lamp for 20min. Also very expensive

Had rump steak. Came cooked as asked. Can not complain about the food. Only got one drink at the beginning of my meal and never asked or checked up on the food or if I needed anouther drink. I was there for one hour and ten minutes. and 30 minutes of that was waiting for the bill and to pay. Had to walk up to the server with the bill to pay. It is clean but depends on what server u get.

We called in to meet friends while there was a family day at the Beefeater, it looked to be busy in the restaurant . Hopefully next time we can sample the food

Visited your restruant today...the waitress who served us was very polite and friendly can't fault her..the service however wasn't that great..we had to wait for nearly an hour to get our food..very few staff on the floor..the food was ok ..I'm going to guess that the restaurant was quite understaffed which is why we had quite a wait.

Shocking staff The inside was always quiet when we visited, and the outside was busy due to the weather. Staff happily stood about inside, chatting, leaving a queue of people waiting to be served by 1 member of staff at the bar with the queue going to the doors. The outside was literered with finished food and empty plastic cups which blew everywhere giving the birds their food for the day. The staff completely ignored this. One customer served at the bar paid by contact less and walked off...the bar maid called him but he didn't listen, ( a guy, red head, striped shirt said. Just forget it and write it off) shocking!! Terrible staff lousy management. What a pity!!

After the fourth time here, with no improvement on service or food waiting times I feel I have had to leave a review. We have given this place a try several times as it’s in a good location, child friendly and there are some pleasant staff. However yesterday we went for a meal - the only pleasant server was the young girl behind the bar, it took half an hour for two warmed up frozen desserts to arrive and our meals were frozen heated up rubbish which tasted awful. The manager in pink is so unbelievably rude. She is stressed at all times. Unsure if this is due to lack of staff. If so, the owners of the company need to urgently review the premises as your staff are put under pressure during busy circumstances which is creating an unpleasant atmosphere for everyone. Unfortunately after trying this place several times we will not be coming back. Thank you to the girl behind the bar for a lovely service however.

It was ok, not as I expected. I was told by the person who refferd myself and family that it's a breakfast buffet that was served there however, the main English meal was served by the staffs and they took a long time to ask for our order and another longer time getting the food served.

The restaurant wasn't very busy but the service was very slow Both my husband and I had the set lunch But when we went to pay the bill we were charged individually for each item. When this was pointed out he reluctantly altered the bill.

We came down 200 miles for a family 84 party 12 of us. Service poor order meal 5 came ie quick fish and chips etc. £24 pound stake etc never appeared. First friends fed we still waited. When asked where’s ours. Oooo you haven’t got then. Rubbish place would never go back. And word of mouth has now gone to all family and friends. £180 not well spent 👎👎👎

Waited 50 minutes for our food and when it came out it was below average. I wasn't expecting gourmet food but I think you can get nicer oven chips at weatherspoons! The lettu e on my burger was soggy and the burger itself was burnt and very small for the price. The reteraunt at the time was not busy so I would hate to be there when it was. There was no apology for how long the food took and no table check back to see if we were happy with the food. Overall a terrible dining experience.

Visited at 10.00am on a Monday. We were told by reception at the Premier Inn we did not need to book for breakfast ...just turn up. So, we turned up! Restaurant was relatively busy...still lots of empty tables but we were told to bear with them as they were busy. So we beared with them, however we did not realise this meant we had to wait 50 minutes for our hot food...just bacon egg and sausage...which we had to eventually had to ask for and which was served luke warm and very greasy. Very disorganised. You'll see I rarely give negative reviews, but in this case it was very disappointing . I dont understand how it took so long to produce 3 core breakfast items. No apologies for the delay..no query as to if everything was OK. Disappointing food and services from a such a professional organisation.

Shocking experience , all dishes served were luke warm came in at 12.45 left at 3.45 . Took forever for starters, mains and desert to come to table . Very understaffed, the poor lass tiane running around should be on 50 quid an hr putting up with everyone complaining

The lady in charge was amazing. Despite being really busy, Tanya dealt with disgruntled customers in a very positive manner. She was constantly cheerful and compassionate. A fantastic asset to the Beefeater Chain.
