BeBe's Cafe in New Forest

Very busy, but worth waiting for, as turnover of tables is quite rapid. Excellent lunch, good coffee, and an exceptional pineapple upside down cake, which is not easy to get right, let alone as good as this. The menu is really extensive for a cafe and very reasonably priced. Friendly service as well.

Brilliant. Inside was packed so that was a good sign. We sat outside undercover. Service excellent. Order and pay at till. Very good portions and great value.

Visited with a friend for mid morning coffee. Food was well presented and staff very cheerful and professional in their manner. Prices very competitive. Will return when in the area

Popped in here whilst waiting for the ferry. What a fabulous cafe. We only bought a coffee but the staff were so cheerful and friendly. The menu looked excellent. A great place.

4 of us visited for lunch, a few tables available, lovely waitress, we all ordered different meals our drink order came almost at once and our food wasn't long after. All was freshly cooked and nicely presented and piping hot, no complaints at all, lovely food and staff and very reasonably priced,.

What a great place to eat! Good food, friendly staff in an attractive non-pretentious venue. There was a lively atmosphere when we went, from the Ferry on Wednesday Market Day. The staff were great and enjoyed their contact with the customers. We had an appetising breakfast and a good filter coffee. With such a varied breakfast, lunch and afternoon menu- warmly recommended!!

Visited for the first time today 13/12/21 with my husband. Great friendly service. Breakfast was very good and arrived quickly. I was very impressed with this cafe and will definitely come back. The staff were lovely and the food was 10 out of 10.

We are regular visitors to this cafe. It has an elderly clientele but many families as well. What makes this cafe outstanding is the extraordinary kindness I have witnessed many times shown by the staff to elderly people sitting alone. Today I witnessed a waitress hold a gentleman’s hand whilst he spoke to her. Kindness is definitely underrated.

Sometimes have breakfast here when i'm feeling a bit lazy, average prices but nicely cooked food and good quality ingredients. Always seems like a lot of staff tripping over each other , counted 8 on last visit , must only just make a profit ! Sadly like so many cafes and fish & chip restaurants too many takaway " just eat " type bags on the floor and counter getting in everyones way!

This cafe is brilliant clean tidy and very good service from all the staff The food is delicious and varied so much choice on offer Today I had a salad with a bread roll served together The jacket potatoes are our favourite to lots of sea food on offer to The prices are very good and the efficiency of the whole staff force is brilliant

Stopped here for a late breakfast found a table and after a short wait we ordered food and drinks. Both arrived with a smile and were very tasty probably one of the best full English’s I’ve had in a long time. Reasonable prices and attentive staff. I will return again.

We have been having breakfasts delivered occasionally throughout lockdown, always delivered on time, food piping hot and tasty as always!

Not as nice as it used to be..... staff were grumpy, value for money not great. Still nice clean seating area. If I was charging that for a breakfast I’d at least put a decent sausage on the plate. Would come back and hope the reception was a nice as it used to be.

Clean restaurant, friendly staff and home cooked meals. We enjoyed a family brunch on a recent stay to Hythe. Quick service and enjoyable food! Homemade milkshakes are also a must!

We have been 'popping in' here over many years and the quality of friendly helpful service has always remained high. Hence it can be difficult to find a seat at busy times. Excellent menu selection - eat in or take-away, even in these dreadful Covid-19 days.

We popped in for brunch - all day breakfast and the only cafe I know where I can get a proper crispy cheese and pineapple toasted sandwich! Reasonably priced, cosy, friendly atmosphere, lovely polite staff and huge slices of cake!

This is really good almost upmarket cafe. Order your needs and sit and wait for it to be delivered. Great staff, clean premises but always busy. Good menu, not particularity upper class but great value.

Always recieve a warm welcome every time I visit BeBe's usually for breakfast meeting up with my son. Full English breakfast is always piping hot, delicous and great value.

Visited for lunch and was greeted with friendly welcoming smiles from the staff. The cafe is very clean and the staff are very attentive. We enjoyed homemade cottage pie with green beans and carrots and gravy. The mashed potato on the cottage pie was topped with some cheese and it was delicious. The other dish we had was chicken casserole with mash and that was yummy. Both dishes were homemade and reasonably priced at around £6/£7. The deserts were homemade and we decided to try rhubarb and apple crumble with custard (which was very delicious) and coconut and lemon cake (with custard) and this was also very yummy.This cafe amazes me as it is very reasonably priced and serves fantastic homemade dishes with a smile.Cannot wait to return very soon.

We ate lunch at BeBe's in Hythe near the pier entrance today. Both ordered Baked potato with Tuna and Sweetcorn along with a lovely, very fresh salad. Followed by homemade Dorset Cake with ice cream.Excellent food at an extremely affordable cost. Coffee excellent too.Staff were very attentive.There is seating inside and out and I would recommend you go there, but before 4.15pm as they close then. There are also closed on a Sunday.

Popped in for a breakfast. Decided on the vegetarian option- enormous plate of well cooked food , more than I could eat. Service was very quick. BeBe's is delightful, always buzzing. It represents the heart of Hythe.

Went in for a breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Quick friendly service and great food with a lovely pot of tea. Finished every part of my bigger breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were served quickly and the waitress was very friendly. After we had finished, we sat chatting and the staff made no attempt to move us out. Great service, will be back.

Bebes is an institution in Hythe used by many regulars. Nothing fancy but very fast and efficient service and good quality food.

Have visited here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and courteous, the service is quick, and the food is fresh and well-prepared. It’s simple, basic homely food at an astonishingly low price, yet good quality, and the cakes and scones are superlative. You’ll get a lovely pot of tea here too - with top brand teabags, and that’s more than you can say for many places!The whole place is spotless, and the only fault I can find is that Bebe’s is sometimes full to overflowing with happy customers, and there’s no room for me!

We visited this busy cafe on May Day monday. We had the half a roast chicken and chips, the chicken was lovely and moist, not dried out like some places and there were loads of chips with the meal. Also had the all day breakfast at £5 which came with two sausages, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, beans and toast, this also tasted goof, only criticism was that they could have used better quality sausages. We followed this with some homemade Dorset apple cake and custard - delicious. Will definitely return if we are in the area.

Popped in for lunch after a trip on the Hythe ferry. I had an all-day breakfast and my wife had a bagette. The breakfast was delicious and not greasy. The bagette was big and well filled. The pots of English breakfast and peppermint tea were also fine. We sat outside in the patio area. The staff were attentive and friendly. The prices were very reasonable.

So, visited this place today for the first time and what a pleasant surprise it was. We ordered 2 set breakfasts which came with a hot drink of choice. Breakfast was great with a good selection of good quality items.

Bebes is a good old fashioned cafe with filing, tasty food, low prices and oh those cakes, puds, and desserts!!! We go as often as possible xxx

Our café of choice if ever in Hythe, even when the place is full of customers you still do not have to wait long for your food. Reasonable portions for the price and always very tasty! Would recommend to anybody looking for some fast, high quality food. Waiting staff are friendly and helpful, even when busy they take the time to interact with the customers to keep them smiling. Takeaway service is great too!!

Had to have a business meeting over lunch time. Where to have a meeting while eating a perfectly cooked meal. Be-be’s of course, Bacon, sausage sandwiches are wonderful and reasonably priced and the specials board always has a wide variety .

This is a gem of a cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch or just a cake and coffee. Good value wholesome food that will satisfy any appetite. A very clean establishment with friendly staff and good service.

We called in for breakfast just after the cafe opened at 9am on Bank Holiday monday and there were already a dozen people in there - always a good sign. We ordered the big breakfast with extra egg. Everything was perfect - the breakfast was a generous portion, nice and hot and very good value. The service was prompt and they had plenty of staff to provide a friendly and efficient service. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Found this cafe whilst on a day trip and was pleasantly surprised at the number of items on offer and the prices charged. Staff very helpful and service good. The order was taken and was delivered in good time and well cooked. Many locals seemed to frequent this cafe which is always a good sign. Would defineatly eat here again when next in the area and thoroughly recommend.

Caught the Hyde ferry from Southampton yesterday after a coach trip day out. Not having a lot of time to spend in Hyde, my wife and I noticed this cafe in the high street. We went in and luckily found the only empty table, as all other tables were occupied. Immediately a waitress asked if she could take our order. I explained we only had a short time before our ferry returned. Ordering a jacket potato each and a drink, the food came out quickly . A plateful of tasty well cooked food. On paying the bill we were pleasantly surprised how cheap it was.

As recommended in the Tourist Information Centre next door, Bebe's is the place for a good luncheon. Had a Sausage and Egg Toasted Sandwich with Chips. Good value for money, when it comes to lunch.

The lunches here are irresistible (especially the baguettes). They offer a wide range of food as well as all day breakfast. The prices are suitable for their food.

Myself and my family come here weekly if not more. The food is a cafe based breakfast menu, has baguettes, cakes and special board. Never ever had a bad meal here in the 10 years if been coming, breakfast is simply amazing Hot and tasty....

Visited with the grandchildren before taking them to Calshot ACtivites Centre. They opened right on 0800 and both children enjoyed their All Day breakfasts. Good service and good food.

Was in Hythe for the market. Popped into have lunch. Very busy but managed to share a table. Waitresses were friendly and efficient at taking orders and clearing the tables. Ordered from the specials board, spaghetti bolognaise. It arrived piping hot and tasted gorgeous. Don’t get to Hythe often enough so this place is a treat. Can’t praise it enough.

Have been going to this cafe for quite a few years. Food is typical cafe style, their all day breakfast being both good value for money and cooked to a good standard. My wife always opts for the slice of coffee cake and coffee. Staff are very attentive and nothing is any bother.

My wife and I were visiting Hythe and decided to treat ourselves to a morning coffee. We decided on Be-Be's Cafe rather than the nearby and more corporate Costa. When we entered the cafe we were immediately welcomed and discovered, much to our surprise and delight, that Be-Be's offers a full table service. We found a table, our order was taken and, before many minutes had passed, two steaming hot coffees were brought to our table each accompanied by one of those small biscuits which I personally find delicious. We will certainly visit Be-Be's again, firstly because it is independent and secondly because the coffee was hot rather than the lukewarm offerings that are increasingly served by the big chains (who don't provide a biscuit either!).

When the food came out it was the hottest food I've ever had in a cafe, cooked to order it was a magnificent meal. Absolutely the best cafe in Hythe and dare I say it probably the best for quite a distance.

We've eaten here a few times. It is invariably really busy, which tells you a lot about the place already. Nevertheless, the service is very quick and we have always had really pleasant waiters and waitresses. It is a no-frills café, but none the worse for that. Decent food at very good prices, it is always well cooked and everything looks clean. I would definitely recommend it.

Visited with my mother in law, I had large breakfast, she had a sandwich. Lovely food and staff were really friendly. Haven't been here in years but will definitely come back! Only downside is it's quite crammed inside.

Pop in at least a couple of times a month & it is consistently good. Friendly staff and great food.Sometimes have to wait for a table at lunchtimes, but the wait is never to long.You can get anything on the menu as takeout (including their fab breakfasts!)

All day breakfast at BeBe's is the bench mark for breakfast eaten else where. Occasionally matched but never beaten. The food is always of consistant good quality with service to match. One can often have to wait for a table as BeBe's is very popular with the elderly due to its keen prices, easy access and good quality food

Well I've been coming here for years and years and could review this place on a daily basis with absolutely no complaints. Always busy, fast service, hot and I mean hot food. Breakfasts are the best. Baguettes and toasted sandwiches really nice been through whole menu to be honest and nothing is too much trouble if you want anything of menu. The owner also have another premises in the high street "Number 15" can't find on trip advisor yet, but again service,food, everything fantastic, good place if you don't want fry ups etc they do pancakes, omelettes and panini's the sweet potato fries are a must.Go bee bees and number 15 customers for life my whole family will alway come back.

Called in on Saturday 25th February, 2017, for a bite to eat. Very busy, but was directed to a free table. Good selection of food and drinks on offer, excellent service and very good sized portion. Superb value for money.

From historical photos inside the cafe there has been a cafe on this site for years ( black and white photos) It was a bit crowded inside and feels a bit dark but the staff are friendly and the prices are good value.There was a children's menu with the basics and ice cream.There are daily adult specials too.Some where to pop in regularly but not for a special duo

We popped in for coffee last Saturday morning, and as we had our dog with us we sat outside. I went in to order, and it was absolutely heaving. I ordered and went back outside, thoroughly expecting to wait ages. Not even 5 minutes later the waitress brought out our order - a latte, a hot chocolate, and a piece of dorset apple cake all for £6.10. The drinks and the cake were lovely, and as an extra touch the waitress had even put 2 plates and 2 forks on the tray in case we were sharing the cake. I was more than happy to be proved wrong, and can't fault this place in any way.

We regularly visit here on a Saturday morning! It's usually busy but customer rotation is fairly quick so if you need to wait it's not long. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is traditional cafe, which suits us fine! There is some hustle and bustle which creates good atmosphere!

We visited Hythe last week, and asked in a local shop for a recommendation of somewhere to eat. BeBe's was recommended, and rightly so! The café was busy when we entered (around 2.30pm) but we were seated promptly and our order taken. Our food - a toasted sandwich and a baked potato, arrived quickly and was very good!

The food is cooked fast and fresh with a really good selection of cooked and lighter meals. It is always crowded the service is always fast and the staff very helpful.helpings are generous but don't expect fantastic presentation just plain, well cooked food. Nice coffee and some nice cakes. Happy to eat at Bebe's when we are in Hythe.Although they are often busy they will spend time with customers.The ambience and lay out is dated but serves its purpose well.Small outside eating area, location is very close to bus stops and ferry.

We had under an hour for lunch on Saturday. Knew BeBe's would be the place to go. We both had scampi, peas and chips and a cup of tea. The tea comes in a good size teapot and the milk in a proper jug. My wife likes barely tainted milk and I like a good strong cup - both happy. The service was quick but attentive.

Love BeBe’s, often have our Saturday Brunch here. Good wholesome food, well cooked, polite staff, great value!

Was visiting my sister and called in for lunch. The place was packed with no free tables so we shared with a solo lady who was already eating. We ordered filled baked potatoes. I was quite happy with mine but my sister was unhappy with hers. It was returned to the kitchen twice but still was not to her liking. The waitress said it was the end of season potatoes and there was nothing they could do. Apart from that it was an enjoyable lunch. The cafe was clean and tidy with a lot of enlarged 50's photographs of the area.

This place seems to open early which is a bonus if you are camping ...as we were. The food is reliable as is the service.
