Very good pub, Jordan was a lovely server and came to make sure everything was ok and Samantha was very helpful with helping my friend with a gluten allergy.

Good pub. Nice outdoor area. Watched the boxing on the numerous big screens dotted around the pub. Bit pricy though. Central London prices in Crayford.

Cane for lunch, and ordered the termed sharer and a pint. The beer was lovely and the food was really sad. Took about half an hour for the food to come out and we were presented with tacos that felt like they had been heated up on a radiator. Filled with chicken covered in hot sauce and “pulled pork” both were really low quality and about a table spoon per taco. Fries with a bunch of rock salt dumped on top that falls off as you pick them up. 1 small piece of corn cut into 4 that had no flavour and some fired chicken. Definitely looks better than it tastes. The only enjoyable part was the fried chicken with honey and even that was bland. Nobody did a check back to see if the food was ok. Also appears they have not checked the toilet in 7 days. Log is not filled in every day either. The ladies sanitary bin is over flowing. There is only one toilet so no excuse not to be on top of this. Staff have been stiff behind the bar chatting for the duration of our visit. There’s plenty of things to clean in this pub. Including the toilet, food/ rubbish under some vacant tables / bar stools and dirty cutlery on the bar. Unfortunate as the pub has been decorated so nicely and has a lot of potential.

I have recently visited the Nags Head, and it left such an impression on me that i had to go and try out another Greenie King location. Abd thats how i came across one of the best drinking and dinning experience i could have asked for in a pub. The bear and ragged stuff is absolutely gorgeous. The interior and the bear selections are miles above the other pubs in the area. As usual i have asked for a pint of Guinness, and i did not just receive my extremely well poured pint but i received an undoubtedly unique customer experience. The bar stuff were more then happy to discuss sports and the six nations with me. Which was. A suprise as most pubs just want to take your money and get on with their day. But not the bear. The food was came put on time and was extremely hot, and for the price an extremely satisfying meal, perfect with my pint. Did i mention how GOOD my pint was ??? All in all, the bear and ragged is a unique experience. One that you will want to keep coming back to !

Came in for Sunday roast food was perfect. Beef roast was gorgeous and came with crispy potatoes and a beautiful Yorkshire pudding. Chicken burger for my son came hot and fries were piping hot could tell they were just cooked. Overall great experience will definitely be coming again.

Visited the Bear for lunch, we had hunters chicken and the lasagne and it was lovely. The service was great especially Clare and would definitely recommend this pub to friends and family

Lovely sharing platter with a friend over great drinks with a fabulous choice of gins and shots. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy toilets. And a lovely courtyard with heaters. Jolly night all round

I went there for the first time in the evening time was very busy felt like I was never going to get served,bar stuff were so rushed but did the best they could,only thing I didn't like was how there was only 1 toilet in use with so many people in such a small toilet area which wasn't great at all,and how security don't check what goes on in there,such a shame and not nice to have to see so wouldn't recommend

Always a 'must go to' whenever there's a theatre outing. Great little spot, great choice of beers. Ace atmosphere and smashing service. Highly recommended!

Always have fabulous service. We come here to watch the football have a vino and a pint or two or for family meals. Sara always provides us with fantastic 5 star service Always happy to help and friendly every time Thank you so much.

Be careful if you visit this pub and use their car park.. you might end up with a parking ticket. Their parking system is flawed, and they don’t resolve issues when they say they will. Not a great way to treat your customers.

Terrible experience for our get together last night. Arrived around 7pm, pub was packed therefore no option to order online so waited an age to get served for drinks. Ordered food which took over an hour and 20 minutes to arrive only to discover the burgers were burnt to a crisp, and the blue cheese that was supposed to accompany the burger was in invisible, gammon was so peppered I felt it was being disguised. My husband and his friend complained and to be fair we received a full refund. Band were good but end of night was ruined as we had booked cabs for 12:30 which is the advertised closing time for this pub but we’re booted out at 11:50. Couldn’t even finish my drink, it was clear the staff just wanted an early finish. This was my first and last visit. Would not recommend!

Went here tonight for Christmas party of 16 Sara looked after us service was amazing nothing was to much for her had a laugh with us all really made our time here that extra special always checked in had a laugh with her, food was good table was set amazing, all around great time thank you Sara keep up that amazing Christmas spirit

The food could use to more flavour. Sara was excellent, made sure that everyone was okay and had everything they needed. The drink prices were decent too.

Nice little pub. Went too celebrate my dads birthday and I had the gammon which was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our food which was served really quickly. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out with friends or family

Came here on a Saturday night for a family celebration! Live music was good and service was great! Well looked after by all the staff working that night!

Very disappointed with the food here. We travelled 30 miles to meet friends so looked for a pub/restaurant with good reviews in the area. Bear and Ragged Staff looked great from the reviews however this was not the case for us. Husbands burger was burnt and tasteless, no cheese even though it was ordered as burger and blue cheese. My steak was luke warm, burnt on outside even though rare on inside and onion rings were cold. The only great experience was the band that started as we left. Very disappointed and certainly won't return.

I came in for a late lunch. Food order and drinks order taken by Danielle who was helpful and polite and the lovely food cooked by Alfie was delicious. Will definitely return

I normally don’t mind this pub but Saturday night the service was appalling they all need to learn to smile a bit more and be more approachable. I waited ages to be served and they could see I was there but then ended up serving three other people before me. I confronted them but no apology or anything just looked miserable at me as if it was my fault. I had to jump in and say I was here first.

Not been here since I was in my teens so been a good few years or so! Decor looks spot on, really modern and fresh. Food was good, atmosphere was fine but service once we had eaten was not good. Plates and glasses left on the table whilst trying to serve us our desert. When we asked for the plates to be cleared, we may as well verbally abused the member of staff! Prior to that, no eye contact to get anyone's attention! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ordered steak and ale pie, with mash and broccoli, no broccoli had peas instead, the pie was so hard you couldn't cut it , the mash was instant mash gray and grainy and dry ,the peas were like bullets the gravy in the little pot was so thick you could have sliced it , I was warned the food was bad but thought no give it a try , and no I wasn't disappointed it was bad , was offered a refund but that never happened,

Great place, come in here every Saturday and the staff are super friendly. Recommend the Thatchers cloudy lemon or any of the other thatchers flavours. Food is also great, they are also dog friendly so bring in your pooches.

great place for events. came here for my mums birthday and the place was great. very accommodating to everyone in our party, food was delicious, we had a buffet and it was very much worth the money. they have entertainment on Saturday nights, normally a band, they were brilliant too. would highly recommend this place.

Really nicely refurbished pub. Had the loaded fries and it was really tasty. It was a quiet lunchtime so service was speedy. Area was nice and clean - even put my baby on the floor to crawl around. Just a few sticky menus which could do with a wipe down.

Great pub. I went here with my parents. Both my mum and I have mobility issues and the Staff was so helpful and could not have done more to make her visit more enjoyable. Sunday lunch was excellent, with portion sizes that were generous, but not overwhelming and overall, was good value for money.

Came for lunch with friends, bar staff friendly as always and food was great. Highly recommend buffalo fries and Katsu chicken curry. Even though the pub was busy didn’t have to wait long for food.

Pub was more or less empty, but still had to wait over 40 minutes for our starters (despite a reminder to staff). Food was poor and will definitely not be returning any time soon

Terrible a let down.we went over for Sunday lunch not nearly as good as previous visits.th meat the Trio was very disappointing and tough as not at all very well presented.The restaurant was nearly empty so I guess the word must have circulated .

Came here for a work party, and can I just say that the service was amazing. We had our own section booked out, we were very well looked after by the staff and management. Everyone is super friendly, the girls behind the bar are a laugh too. The food was brilliant, very delicious. Decor was all funky and the pub was very clean. Would recommend this place to everyone. Will be returning again soon with friends and family. Honestly, cannot fault this place for anything.

Came here on Thursday for the quiz and it was great. Staff are nice, quiz master is funny as well as accommodating to everyone. We had a tex mex sharer and that was delicious. Would highly recommend coming here for the quiz nights.

Visited Bear few days ago. Oh my god!!! Chef a tall guy hanging around the bar all the time so no wonder why food was horrible. Woman red headed manager so rude with zero customer skills and smoking every 15 minutes. Place filthy and sticky. It wasn’t like this few months ago. Don’t know if will go back again.

Went there to watch the football. The pub had a great atmosphere and there were plenty of areas to watch the game. We also had Sunday lunch which was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. The staff were very pleasant and all in all we had a great afternoon.

Went for drinks stayed for dinner. Food was better than I expected and Sara couldn’t have been more helpful and funny with it.

Absolutely love this place. Food is great, staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Just a beautiful place to have lunch. It is not overpriced and has a lovely selection of items on the menu. A bonus is that they welcome dogs too! Definitely recommend!

Had a great pie, table was very cozy and the service very friendly. In particular a young lady named Paloma was very friendly and knew very well her cocktails and they were all served perfect.

We had a great time thanks to Lewis. He helped us choose our dishes and was so courteous throughout. Couldn't have asked for a better server.

Family went for dinner after the very wet and cold May Day run Food was amazing didn’t wait long at all staff was friendly and very helpful

I visited here today on my own during my lunch break, only had an hour or so, thought I’d order myself something quick with a swift pint to wash it down with. I was in there at 1pm where I ordered a pint and ham egg and chips, well it was posh ham by way of gammon. The server was great, nice polite and very good, shame he was so badly let down by the kitchen! Ordered at 1pm and left at 1:50pm as my food failed to materialise! I was offered a refund and promptly left. How the hell does it take 50 minutes to prepare ham egg and chips for one and even then it never arrived, the place was practically empty as well. Been here many times before many months ago being my last visit and had no issue’s whatsoever, what has happened here? My advice is unless you don’t mind waiting an hour for your order to arrive, that is if it ever arrives then please make a visit, but if you are hungry and fancied a quick pint and some ham egg and chips, then go home, cook it yourself and you’ll still be quicker than this place, god only knows how long large complex orders take to arrive, again if at all. I am not impressed, and can’t even comment on the food as I didn’t get any. Such a shame as it was a great place once.

Went to this bar for the first time to check out as we just moved to the area, ordered two drinks and some wings. Had to beg for serviettes and the wine tasted as if it came from a bottle opened ages ago. I did get the wine changed. Wings were bland but atmosphere was better.. not sure if I'll return to that bar

Lovely looking pub and attentive staff but the food is atrocious. Sunday roast beef supposedly serves pink is browner than the muddy puddle on a rainy day. The stuffing is tougher than my leather boot, if I ever had to chew one. Roast potatoes are just chunk potatoes fried, at least it is crispy. Couldn't feel more sorry for the Yorkshire, wonder if it ever graced the warmth of the oven or nuked to death in a microwave. At least Ive experienced what cardboard with a bit of gravy feels like. Ps: need to trim your lettuce better

Has just been re-done! Very nice, and lots of parking spaces. Good food, was great, lots of beers + the other drinks. Had good time. Try this pub in crayford, worth a visit if only for a drink, they do light bite's too.

What’s makes this pub so special is the staff. When we entered the pub the staff greeted us immediately and let us choose where we wanted to seat. They were really attentive and helpful. The food was good and extremely good value for money.

We booked a table here for a work get together to celebrate Easter holidays and we felt well looked after. The manager could not do enough to make sure we was happy. The food was lovely too, well presented and delicious. We all will be returning.

The most unwelcoming pub in Kent! Bar staff & management rude & unfriendly (unless you’re one of their regulars) service really slow despite there being plenty of bar staff. Wouldn’t go back.
