Great find on the broadway! Came in on a Tuesday for some drinks and ended up staying for bingo! And the food was beautiful will definitely be back!

Tuve una noche aquí para Halloween, puedo recomendar este pub con su gran variedad de cervezas y un excelente menú de comida, las hamburguesas son increíbles! Muy bueno para una fiesta nocturna también. Bien vale la pena una visita si estás en la zona.

Visitar a la familia en Bexleyheath y le apetece una copa. Gran pub, buenos precios y personal muy amable. Volveremos cuando sea el próximo en la zona

El fin de semana fuimos a ver el fútbol, el personal era muy bueno y tenía una hamburguesa quebrada. El lugar está muy bien dirigido con un buen ambiente

We came to this pub for a birthday meal with family. The food was lovely, we had roast dinners which were fresh and plentiful. The service was great with very attentive staff, and they regularly checked if we were happy. The football screens are great and it was a vibrant atmosphere. Toilets were clean and well stocked too. The only downside I can mention is that the pub wasn’t very warm. Overall, a very nice visit.

Such amazing value for money. The food was delicious and the staff were really attentive. I didn’t need to ask for anything as it was all offered to me. Drinks were so nice. The cocktails and shot deals were my favourite. The manager even came over to introduce himself and he was so lovely to talk to. Will definitely return. Thank you so much.

This place never disappoints! Great place to go for good music, friendly atmosphere and safe feeling. Door team are always ready to help you with anything you ask and are always approachable as are all the bar staff. Good food aswell we love to have picky bits when out for the night and the golden lion does that and goes it well! Big shout out to the team there! Your all doing an amazing job

Myself and my friends used to be regulars here up until recently with the blonde “lady” on the door. The term “jobsworth” springs to mind. Twice now we have been refused entry due to my friend being “too drunk” when both times, the other bouncers were more than willing to allow us in with no issues, ready to scan our ID’s until she stepped in both times? Surely they’re just as qualified to make the entry decision? Even other customers commented how my friend seemed completely fine and were also as confused as we were.. usually the door staff for years we have attended have been great, never had any issues. Completely understand the duty of care etc however I would describe my friend as only being slightly tipsy which late on a Friday night getting into a pub, what do you expect? She was fully on the ball able to speak, walk and even having a laugh with the other doormen. Seems she has an issue with girls (jealousy?) as other tipsy guys in the queue got in fine and other men in there (we could see through the door) were far more intoxicated yet buying more drinks? I think the blonde lady on the door needs to be spoken to as this seems to be a common theme when speaking with friends about their recent experiences here, including her banging on their toilet door when only going for a wee? Shame as used to love this pub :(

If I could I would give this pub a 10 star but they only let us give 5 stars, firstly I would like to say about the golden lion how professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly the all the staff are. I went here for the euros had the most amazing time the pub was extremely busy during the euros and all staff were on top of everything I was really nice to see the management helping out weather that was running food out to tables or serving behind the bar. I went to the bar a few times and was served promptly as I had a few drinks a lady from behind the bar came out to help me with the drinks to my table. We also ordered from the app for food and drinks which also came very quickly, another really nice touch was to see all staff wearing personalised England shirts on. Well done to everyone that works at the golden lion for all your hard work and keeping your customers very happy thank you for making my experience for the euros better than ENGLAND did, once again keep up your excellent hospitality at such a high professional standard. We will be returning very soon

We had this Lovley lady called stacy and served us with a smile on her face we had a wonderful night and quite a lot of laughs with her but overall it was a good night

Second time coming in and it was better than the first! The atmosphere for the 6nations was buzzing. It was so welcoming. This pub is definitely working its was into being one of my favourite places.

Went here with a couple of friends first we wasn’t going to eat but seeing other people’s food come out we change our minds, ordered food it was piping hot cooked to perfection I asked a member of staff what the cooks name was and the person told me it’s our new manager Stacey in the kitchen, hats off to this new manager I would highly recommend eating here, the drinks were perfect as well such a lovely time will be returning sometime in the new year keep up the great work at the golden lion, me and my mates wish the management and all the best for 2024, be back soon.

I always heard bad things regarding this pub, having been there recently with my little boy my views have changed! The staff are very efficient and accommodating especially Stacey she was so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit pleasant! The food was lovely came out hot and wasn’t a long wait! Overall it was a lovely experience and we will definitely be returning! Thank you Stacey!!

We went here for a family Christmas meal. I really don’t think that the staff could have been anymore accommodating. The table decorations, supplying games at another nearby table for the children to play with, asking if we were ready for our desserts or did we need a little more time, food was piping hot and tasty. All this mounted up to make The Golden Lion somewhere we would definitely return to and recommend. Thank you all. Merry Christmas

Went to the Golden Lion for a Christmas gathering & it was just amazing. The staff went above & beyond to cater for all our needs, the atmosphere was beautiful & very Christmassy. The tables that was laid for us was also great with party games, Christmas hats & Christmas Crackers in which everyone loved. Exceptional service and great food. Will definitely book again soon

Went down for the quiz thursday had a great time with my friends had a laugh and the food was great. The guy who hosts quiz has high energy.

Today I walked into the golden lion pub bexleyheath billy served me and asked him questions local to the area as my daughter lives here and he was very friendly and kind and I will definitely be coming back and what a brilliant bar staff...

Good pub in good location; food is decent and reasonably priced. Drinks menu is varied and includes cocktails, which Molly the barmaid helped recommend some for me and informed me they were two for one and then made me some delightful ones.

Group of four, one suffering from food intoxication. Won't let us order more drinks as the camera show in the bathroom show conversation. No privacy is given in this pub, which is unacceptable. A person cant even pee in peace without having to be watched. We were a group of four, one of us was suffering from food intoxication from the place before and when went to order more drinks we were refused service as they had noticed one of our group was being sick. This after it was explicitly told to them that only 3 out 4 of us were drinking and we were ordering only 3 drinks. The one person not drinking was never actually sick.

The Manager and bouncers seem to be at odds with each other with different decisions minutes apart. The bouncers also make the rules of the pub up as they go and change their minds regardless of what pub management say. Avoid this place!!

Really fun quiz night at this pub - questions we could answer easily enough without feeling like idiots. Drinks are a very reasonable price - the cheapest Lime and Soda I've ever purchased - thanks for taking care of the drivers amongst the group. Will defo visit again.

Tried the Burger Bar on Tuesdays today for lunch ... OMG ! Delicious ! Burger of Choice including double or triple plus chips Plus drink including wine beer or Soft ......£4.99! And it was sooooo good And staff so lovely I’ll be returning !

Been going here on and off for the last 15 years. It’s a good pub with pool table, fruit machines and dj most Friday and Saturday nights. It’s definitely worth a visit on a night out in Bexleyheath.

Nice pub, good staff & the food was pretty decent too, having tried there a couple of times during the day.

Prompt delivery and relatively cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. Oily hofan, odd shaped fish that's small and mostly batter. Then there's the overcooked saveloy that tasted like biting into a balloon filled with soggy toilet paper. At least they didn't mess up the chips.

Popped in here for a quick drink and ended up staying a while! Great choice of food on their menu and great cocktail offers.

We are regulars here. Love the service and food. Great dishes that are plentiful, tasty and affordable. Our favs are prawn Pad Thai, chicken in black bean and spicy stir fry beef. We also like the crispy aromatic duck and the dumplings are a favourite of ours.

Weather you want a nice breakfast,lunch or dinner,or just a bar snack while watching some sport, or just having a catch up this is the place to be.. Very helpful friendly management and staff. Food is very good, and great value. The garden also has Tvs, so on sunny days you can sit outside with a nice cold drink and watch your sport... What more could you ask for.!!Live very near by and spend quite a few afternoon's/nights here. Hard to find a good pub....that suits everyone..this place fits the bill.Well done to Adam and all the staff keep up the good work.

Had a lovely meal here today with my auntie and her lesbian life partner. Everyone was so accepting of my aunties lesbianism, which was a welcome change after my uncle Gary’s homophobic outburst at my nieces 7th birthday. Leon the manager was especially helpful, kind an attractive (for a man). 5 star service and a five star man (Leon).

if you are in the area then make sure to visit this place. Very reasonably priced for a London pub, just over £5 for two pints is fantastic value in my opinion. Didn't eat in here but the food that was coming out looked good and the menu was very extensive and also great value for money

What a rip off asked for 4 Ciroc vodkas and Diet Coke, they put Diet Coke in with ice which only took the drink to under half a glass, I said can you put more Coke in and they said have to charge double absolutely taking the mick and really poor attitude don't mind paying for things but hate being ripped off.

Came here for their first pub quiz and really enjoyed it, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Finished off with some pool, I like that this pub has a little games corner woth some fruit machines and pool table.
