I took a business contact to this cafe today and was very well looked after. We were able to choose our own seats and after a short period of time we were engaged by a very pleasant waitress who took our orders for coffee. Asking about pastries/cakes I was taken to the counter to view a wide selection. Service was quick, coffees lovely and the Pain Au Raisin warmed nicely. A very pleasant experience.

SERIOUS lack of people skills & customer service. WONT BE BACK. Visited this cafe today after many recommendations from colleagues. To the older gentleman who brought the food from the kitchen to myself. You are extremely rude & really ought to stay in the kitchen & away from a customer facing role. The 2 younger girls who took my order were lovely and pleasant. One of the girls had made an error when writing down my order which resulted in one of the sandwiches being incorrect. When I advised this gentleman of the error, he was extremely rude, saying that he won’t be informing the kitchen. If he has issues with the error it should be with the team & not the customer. Despite the food being nice. There won’t be a repeat visit to that establishment. If you don’t understand what is an acceptable way to interact with customers, you are in the wrong job!

Vast amount of food on offer at a very competitive price.had so much on my plate didn't need anything for the rest of the day! Wifes green tea was very good.service was very speedy.toilets clean but toilet paper poor quality.newspapers to read were unfortunately two and three days old.otherwise perfect cafe to go

Coffee and panini for me, a breakfast roll And milkshake for my son. Very tasty, great coffee, fast, friendly service. Would definitely recommend .

Lovely lunch - great food, great coffee, cake looks good, was too full to try. And they allowed our dog with us, and gave him dog biscuits - stars!

Called here for a quick coffee and cake and I’ve got to say the reception was so friendly, welcomed us warmly, took our order straight away and it was with us within minutes. A special mention to a young girl whose name I didn’t get but she was an hour into her first day there. She was a little nervous but still very courteous, polite and attentive. The coffee was lovely and the caramel shortbread even more so. Many thanks to you.

Looked nice. Very welcoming, cosy seating, caring about our doggies, nice coffee but…oh the sandwich! £4 for two slices of bread and limp , uncooked vegetarian bacon. Not a lettuce leaf, slice of tomato or dressing. White on white plate…unattractive. Then I felt poorly.

Would normally go into the bakery across the road but popped into here a few weeks back and thought I’d give it a go. Lovely fresh sandwiches that are huge and brilliant value for money. Also with the option to have any filling it a wrap, baguette, roll salad etc. The young lad that is normally working is always very friendly and wishes me a good day as I’m leaving. Can’t fault the take away coffees. Honestly nothing bad to say about this establishment. If you work in Liskeard and don’t get much of a lunch break give it a try…

Stopped in twice to take shelter from rain storms during town trail walk. Very prompt service from friendly staff and lovely cappuccino. The lunches and cakes being served to surrounding table looked nice and a local diner informed me this was one of the nicer places to eat lunch. Very reasonable prices £3.00 for a cappuccino.

We get delivery at work in the community hospital and the food is always absolutely lovely. amazing portions. The food is always boxed up and wrapped so stays hot. really filling and tastes lovely! Price is really good too

Went in yesterday for a spot of lunch we had a toddler in a buggy and a disabled lady in a mobility scooter they were very accommodating moved a couple of tables together for us They got us a high chair and my friend was able to go in on her mobility scooter and they made room for her. The food was lovely and plentiful couldn’t fault it .

This is excellent for providing hot and cold drink plus a range of meals. The service is quick and good.

This is a lovely little cafe in the busy street of Liskeard. Serving great coffee and lovely food. Had the toasted sandwich from the specials board which was amazing, the pork and apple sauce one with cheese, such a great combo. Couldve had more but was full after that, shame because the cakes look amazing wish i could. The staff in there are very nice and welcoming too. Will be back for more definitely! Thankyou very much

Easily the worst cafe I've ever been to. Arrogant sarcastic owner thought spilling a latte on me was funny. Won't be going there again.

Came in for a bit of a cake and a coffee and was very impressed. Lovely slice of Carrot cake and a nice flat white. Brilliant staff in there as well. Thank you very much.

First visit for us; we weren't disappointed. The food and coffee was really excellent, however what really made it an enjoyable visit was the service from the guys who really had thought about what was important to someone's experience. Would recommend you visit; we'll definitely be going again.

Very customer focused coffee shop. Super friendly & helpful staff. Excellent range of snacks & drinks at reasonable prices. The perfect place for us on our wet morning in Liskeard.

Came here for lunch. Looked busy which is always a good sign. Had a ham and cheese toastie on the whole meal bread. Came reasonably quick and was delicious. Coffee was hot and spot on too. Definitely worth a visit!

Stopped here to pick up a lite bite for the kids in the middle of the day.

Popped into Beans a few times during my visit and have always enjoyed the quality of the food. Their toffee milkshakes are out of this world. Today I had a baked potato with cheesy beans, which came with a side salad, nachos and coleslaw. My Mom had panini which was generously filled with side salad and nachos with a salad dressing. Decent prices and a great change from the slop they serve in Wetherspoons.

One of our regular stops - the paninis are delicious. Bean is a regular eating place for lots of locals so you always meet a friendly face if you want someone to chat to. Nice for a light lunch and a cuppa!

Walking through Liskeard, came across Bean in the middle of the town.

Pleasant cafe with nice atmosphere. Coffee was nice and hot. Mixture of easy chairs and chairs and tables. Food looked nice although we didn't eat there.

Service was fast, scone and coffee was OK. Chose warm croissant which turned out to be a cold croissant taken to back room and microwaved on high for too long so that it was rubbery and hard to chew. Probably best to forget the warm bit and just serve croissant at room temperature.

We received a warm welcome on our arrival and during our visit, and cannot fault the staff. However, the coffee is appalling, zero taste. The owner/manager needs to taste the coffee for themselves. Can only be compared with dish water.

Good vegetarian menu - just had a delicious jacket potato with cheddar cheese and homemade coleslaw with fresh salad selection. (Excellent value for money £4.60). Great range of (non alcoholic) beverages. Cosy, relaxing atmosphere. Speedy, friendly service.

Brilliant coffee, really good food. The sizes are fairly big. I had a cheese and ham toastie, came with salad and pasta. Really brilliant, next time I'm in Cornwall I will return here. Really can recommend for a coffee or a lunch.

Beans has been going for years. The food is excellent and the coffee great. Every time I’m In town I try to drop in.

Often stop in for toasted teacake and coffee frappe. Perfect combination. Toasted paninis also delicious. Easy to go in with family, friends or on your own. Relaxed atmosphere, able to read paper. Can get very busy so pick your times carefully.

We only had drinks, so I can't comment on the food but I was impressed by the wide choice. There were coffees, teas, 3 different hot chocolates, milkshakes, steamers and smoothies. My husband's hot chocolate was accompanied by a chocolate flake and I had a white chocolate mocha topped with cream, which came with a wafer biscuit.

Had to find somewhere to get out of the rain....... Luckily we saw a quaint little coffee shop called Bean. We had coffees and paninis all fab and the paninis were lovely, with a decent amount of filling. Glad I didn't read the other reviews first because the staff were lovely. Thanks.

Had a delivery from Bean excellent jacket potato with chilli and side salad , coffee was very good and hot . The girl who delivered was friendly . Will be ordering again

I ordered a takeaway to be delivered from bean as they offer this service, which should be convenient for people working locally. Boy was I wrong. Firstly they forgot to bring the coffee I ordered with my food, which should of been the least of my problems with this terrible lunch experience!!!! When the coffee came, it was a complete joke. I made a point to ask on the phone what size the regular coffee was (as I've ordered a regular coffee from elsewhere and the size has been more like an extra small)! No better with my bean coffee. Completely overpriced for which was obviously not a standard regular cup. Also, the coffee was undrinkable to say the least!!!! I ordered a chai latte which is a milky based coffee seasoned with cinnamon spices. Usually a really pleasant and comforting drink. This was the opposite!!! Absolutely disgusting, tasted so artificial and sweet! Needless to say I threw it away. Now the food. What can I say. I ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese, and asked for a side salad to go with it. No cheese on my jacket potato, barely any tuna. The potato itself was bland and obviously not buttered. Basically inedible. The side salad... well... it was laughable. A wedge of lettuce with one slice of cucumber and 1/4 of a tomato. That's it. No dressing, just some water from where it had obviously just been washed off. And I was charged £1 for this!!!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!! I feel as though I literally took a £5 note from my purse and threw it in the bin. Which is what I did essentially as I threw the food away. All in all, a complete disappointment and waste of my money. Do yourself a favour and don't order from bean. I certainly won't make this mistake again.

Good coffee, excellent food for a break whilst shopping. Friendly efficient staff. All at good prices. 'Nuff said.

Nos encanta este lugar, es peculiar, muy agradable, tiene un precio muy razonable, los bollos son sin duda la mejor, siempre tenemos los frutos, grandes, de frutas y de luz, y los divide en 3, son tan grandes y viene con 3 porciones de mantequilla, que son los mejores, y hemos probado muchos, muchos bollos por todas partes a lo largo de los años. This little cafe is ok for a basic mid-week lunch. The menu doesn't change much and the vegetarian options are quite unimaginative. Paninis, Baked Potatoes, Wraps, Soup, Cakes. The staff are pleasant though and the coffees are lovely. Toilet is right next to the kitchen and a little off-putting. The price is average. Nothing special but a dependable place to meet and have a chat and light lunch.

Small coffee shop with wide menu choice, food was ok but certainly nothing special. Space is limited and it was very busy but given the lack of choice in the area I am not surprised. Overall cleanliness seemed poor. Good clean up and some food with some flavour and it could be a lovely place.

Situated on the main pedestrianised Street in the town with some outdoor Street seating.A friendly welcome from the attentive staff. Attentive but not overly so.This was a mid morning stop for Coffee and. Bacon Roll. Promptly served and nicely done. A simple menu with standard options.I'd go again if I was in the area. My wife has visited before and recommended it.Friendly staff with prompt service. Nice one.

Really friendly staff and casual atmosphere. Their lunches are gorgeous and very reasonably priced. There is a lot of vegetarian options which is always good! Would recommend if you're looking for a quick bite to eat at lunch or coffee with friends.

I've been here a couple of times but doubt I'll be going back for a third time. It's fine for something quick and simple for lunch or a snack but I wouldn't rush back.

We had only inteneded toorder Coffee but decided to have toasted tea cakes as the staff made us fell so welcome that we stayed longer than planned. Very nice atmosphere, quirky feeling well worth a visit.

Recently moved to area and popped in for a snack. Menu I thought was a little basic , a couple of things on the special board , one of which we opted for, steak and Brie panini. Served with 3 different salads..Very nice. Snack and drink for 2 was £13 , very good value... I don't drink coffee but they seem to specialise in various coffees. The cafe was very busy , only 1 or 2 empty tables, and quite rightly so .. I'll definitely return.

I like the healthy numbers and the chat amongst the linters many of whom seemed to be regulars known to each other and the staff. Slightly spiky manager/?owner but not on it's own a deterrent. Reasonable range of ordinary cafe food served quickly enough and averagely priced. Useful place in the centre of the town. A pity that so many shops around here seem to be boarded up or to let.

Have visited this great little coffee shop several times, it is unpretentious, serves good coffee and a selection of light bites at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

Rude owner. No customer service skills whatsoever. The old saying "the customer is always right" obviously doesn't apply! Sarcasm doesn't entice customers to return. If you want a decent place to go, try Cafe Fat Frog. Much nicer and more friendly. At least you get what you order!

Had lunch here with my dad, staff were very friendly, great prices, good portions (I had jacket potato which came with salad and pasta. My dad had ploughmans which was huge only downside is we thought you get a pickled onion with a ploughmans although he did have pickie!) Im being picky!!. Good prices. would recommend and visit again. Loved the hot chocolate that came with a flake on the side.

Popped in here for lunch after being recommended by a shop keeper. Huge portions of really scrumptious food. Lovely cream tea and delicious sandwiches and cake.

Lovely informal place to go for a coffee and catch up with friends. Great variety of coffees and hot drinks, superb cold drinks and nice variety of snacks, meals and cakes.

I discovered this cafe due to my friend taking me there. The decor is very 'cute' and coffee related. The staff were very welcoming and were very patient when we were making a decision over the choice of cakes. The noise of the cafe was chattery but not in any was too loud or unpleasant. The food and drinks went down well, and they were of great quality for the cheap price presented. The only bad thing I have to say that I have walked past this cafe many, many times, however I never stopped to notice it. The thought makes me quite sad as I now go in there a lot. I recommend the cafe to people I know.

A warm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere greats you as you arrive in this friendly cafe. Service is prompt and the food well presented and enjoyable.

Go for the rich coffee and the hummingbird cake which was moist and tasty. Chocolate fudge cake was a bit dry but I think was given the last slice so I won't judge.

Always use thus coffee shop to meet friends and catch up. Coffees are always top notch and there is always a good selection of sweet treats. The dime bar cheesecake or salted caramel cheesecake is a must for any sweet tooth. Great atmosphere and central for shops in Liskeard.

Staff very friendly, service is great and the quality of the food is good too. Lots of comfy seating to sit and relax. Bit of a squeeze for push chairs, but worth it.

Busy in here on a Saturday lunch time but we found a table for the two of us and had a pot of tea for two and a pasty and panini. Portion size is very good in fact I did not manage the pasta salad that came with mine. Nice feel to this place and have been several times just never reviewed the place.
