In the middle of the Meridian Centre is this lovely oasis of peace and quiet. Very restful and unhurried. Plenty f time to read the paper, wait for a friend with no danger of being hurried out the door. Why would you rush when the food is so good?

A great place for good coffee (and/or tea of various flavours) in a very relaxed atmosphere. Te staff are very friendly and helpful. Most of the cakes on offer are made at home by volunteers and are delicious and their prices are probably the cheapest in Havant.

I have been visiting the Beacon for about 2 years now and I have to say it is a lovely place to go for coffee and a cake or maybe a small bite to eat. The Beacon is located upstairs on the first floor of the Meridian centre, next door to Havant library. The food served is great value for money; todays for example was two paninis (bacon, brie & cranberry and a brie & cranberry one,) 2 slices of cake and two hot drinks all for £10. Comfortable seating, of which there is plenty, lovely decor and the staff here are fantastic. If you're in Havant and looking for somewhere different to go for a cuppa, I would highly recommend the Beacon as a place to visit.

Absolutely lovely little tea room that allows dogs. I normally hate eating out as I can’t eat gluten but they offer a gluten free menu that has loads of different things on it and even waffles! All prepared separately so no cross contamination. Staff are very friendly. Please go if you are in the area.

Having previously had a good experience, my 90 year old mum and I went for lunch. We ordered prawn salads with falafel and humus from the menu. The last two items were missing on our plates, but when queried we were told that nobody ordered those so they didn't have any! We asked for an alternative and were given half a slice of bread each! I then found a hair in my salad, but when I reported this, I was told that the kitchen staff had dark hair so it wasn't theirs! I was too stunned to reply! Then I was told we couldn't expect a refund, because the hair wasn't theirs. I explained we didn't want a refund, just an apology. Never again!
