Popped in today for a drink with friends. Such a lovely place. Friendly staff. Kenzie was extremely helpful. It was a lovely afternoon. Will be back soon.

Brilliant Sunday session. Roast dinner was spot on. Place very busy with Christmas party’s already!

Went for a family lunch on Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were absolutely lovely and the food was very good. Pub grub done well. Piping hot and delicious. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Would have been 5 stars but the interior of the place was a bit shabby and could do with a refresh. Will definitely go again.

Great pub grub, music not so loud that you can't talk to eachother, lovely steaks (perfect medium rare) and good filling Sunday roast Beef.

Over all had a great experience although up on arrival they had no knowledge of my booking which was not a problem as their was plenty of tables. The pub although looking a bit tied in some areas was not bad. Ordered a pork Sunday roast for the my wife and a beef roast for myself. These roasts ware excellent and the veg was cooked to perfection. By one of the best part of the visit was the excellent service from the staff and nothing was too much of a problem it is nice to see such happy staff.

Returned to the Plough and Barleycorn for lunch last week. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable too.

Amazing selection of home cooked, special menu items as well as the standard, regular menu!! Staff were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and efficient service. Dog friendly with water and biscuits available too. Xxxx

The "Lunch Deal" was tasty and a good portion for the cost. The desserts were good too... checkout the photo.

The staff are very friendly except this one woman was particularly rude because I dropped a pool que "be careful they cost money" said horribly with a filthy look, it was only an accident I would understand if I was deliberately dropping, throwing or mistreating said que but however this "expensive" que which looked older than me and missing the but/bottom of it was just an exposed screw, a health and safety hazard what if someone got jabbed with it and the screw meant the que would slip onthe wood floor.

Food and drink are wonderful. Staff are polite and courteous. Highly recommended@

Excellent food and staff good value for money

I walked to the pub with my husband and two dogs on Sunday 24th March. The staff were lovely as usual. I ordered a roast beef dinner my husband had nachos for starters and mixed grill for main. The food was excellent and plenty of it, I couldn’t even fit in a dessert. Service was good and attentive, also the dogs were very welcome, treats and water bowls on a table in the corner. Thanks guys we had a lovely Sunday lunch 😊. Carol and Paul

Booked a table for 4, we weren’t greeted at the bar, In fact we were ignored, anyway we found our own table after battling through the gymnastics performance on the stage where we were sat! Anyway we pushed on! We ordered our food which was pretty mediocre, but we weren’t expecting the savoy! More annoyingly, is they were clearing our plates as they were finished, while others still eating, my partner was still chewing as the plate was whipped from under her! Then to our surprise, they decided they were closing at 9pm and we hadn’t even satisfied our sweet tooth’s, anyway can’t beat a McFlurry on the way home! On summary I won’t come back, and I won’t recommend! You live and you learn!

I went here a few days ago and the girl who served me was really welcoming. She told me her name was Sienna. Sienna was really lovely, she made me laugh and i could see she’s really hard working

I went to the plough and barleycorn the other day and it was lovely. Casey is an amazing bar staff and is constantly helping others if they need the help, always looks out for the people she works with. Paris is lovely and extremely hard working and always tries her best to make us feel welcome

Best roast dinners around, Matt and Gary are amazing chefs! The girl who took our order and brought us our food (Sienna) was lovely and polite and and blended in well with the friendly atmosphere and feel of the pub. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Great food and amazing service by Erin.

We eat in this place on a regular basis and honestly love being here. The food is delicious (the chefs, Matt and Gary always follow my food requests for my picky autistic children. Nothing is too much trouble) and the staff are really lovely young ladies. Casey and Sienna are lovely polite ladies, very down to earth and real. They always serve you with a smile and make you feel like you're among friends. 100% recommend.

We hired a room at the back, staff where amazing, food was tasty and arrived quickly. Can't fault anything.

Found this place on Google & decided to give it a try. The pub was rather quiet which was nice as we had our two dogs with us. It was fast service from beginning to end. Staff were lovely & attentive. Also, great prices.

The workers are really friendly by asking how is your food and lovely to have a chat to . This probably was one of my greatest burgers I’ve had in a long time and that garlic cheesey bread was superb must recommend going especially with the family.

Food was lovely but if you like or if you don't mind a bit of noise from burly lads fair enough but think if there's a separate side to the bar i think you would definitely be on a winner xxx

Wow!!!!! My family and I came here for Sunday lunch and the whole experience was fantastic the food was amazing and great value for money the roast potatoes and the meat was top class, my wife couldn’t get over the size of the Yorkshire pudding it nearly filled the plate the front of house staff were very efficient and very helpful and I would recommend the roast dinners to anyone we will be going back that’s for sure. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful afternoon

The Plough is local to us to visit and the food was lovely. We had a reserved table with no problems and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The landlords are very approachable, they always aim to please.

The 3 course menu was amazing value and the choice offered was good. The food was excellent.

Nice little pub with a nice pub garden. Didn't eat just had a couple of beers but will definitely be back for food soon.

Firstly every drink we asked for was unavailable or sold out so we tried to order a lager mixed with Coke. (Same as lager shandy but mixes with Coke instead of lemonade) The lady serving originally said she couldn't do that as Coke is only sold in pints! Manager came out with a smaller glass for Coke but said they couldn't do half a Coke and lager together but had to order the 2 seperately in 2 half pint glasses and pour it into a pints glass ourselves! Does this make sense to you? Why couldn't they mix it together for us?Shocking service! Why was there such an issue?

Visited this establishment with the intention to book a table for my coming birthday when I arrived was told it would be 40 minute wait for food I ordered a jacket potato when it eventually arrived it was still stone cold complained chef very rude got a refund and left so glad I sampled the food before I booked a table for 14 needless to say I won't be returning.

The whole experience was worth the trip from East Meon to Waterlooville. The atmosphere was good, pleasant and clean. Amazing food,had a main course and pudding. Staff were friendly and excellent, with great service. Compliments to the chef as well, who also interacted with me and the rest of my guests. You cannot go wrong staying here for food, friendly staff and a nice clean pub. No faults in any aspects of the visit. So good we come back a 2nd time on the 14th September, as we knew we would have a good experience, with service and the food.

Warm welcome, lovely food, and we all enjoyed our meals, and the desserts were good as well. It's worth a visit and we came back a second time during our holiday for another meal.

Our second Sunday roast here, absolutely delicious, both occasions you haven't let us down. We will certainly be back.

The staff make you feel so welcome, it’s like the local you’ve never been to, we’ve been looking for a place to go to since we’ve moved to Waterlooville, We have finally found it. the the bar staff are brilliant, the food is great and the young girls that look after the tables and collect the glasses are top-notch.
