Encantador lugar. Sin duda volveré a visitar.

Stopped here after a long sunny day of walking. Large selection of ice cream (as well as milkshakes, sundaes and hot food as well) My wife had a strawberries and cream sundae which was very good. Big, with lots of ice cream, strawberry sauce, strawberries, tiny shortbread pieces, cream and a flake. I got a scoop of the peach and mango ice cream. Very creamy with a lovely peach flavour (Only minor criticism was that it would have been even better if there were pieces of peach in the ice cream) Plenty of parking and they have inside and outside tables. Highly recommend the ice cream here, and we will definitely come back again!

We spent the weekend here camping and had a fantastic time. The campsite is very tidy and kept clean. Facilities great (play area, cafe, toilrt/shower block, shop and there is a pub next door). Ice cream is lovely and ate breakfast from the cafe which was very nice. 10 min drive into Whitby, so very quiet and surrounded by sunflower fields and woodlands. Dog and child friendly. Camp fires available for hire and staff very friendly and helpful. Our children loved passing the goats each day. Will certainly return in the future.

Fantastic cafe - I think we were in it every day of our 5 night stay! First class English breakfast with great sausages Served quickly and good value we thought for £7.95 inc toast. All breakfast baps were sub £4 which again felt reasonable and drinks also a sensible price. Ice cream selection is extensive- more flavours than I had capacity to try but available in milkshake, waffle, sundae, cone and tub variations there is something for everyone. Oh yes… and a great cake selection The home made scones for the cream tea were delicious

Great value campsite with excellent facilities. Stayed 4 nights including over a bank holiday and was very happy. Two fields were very busy with lots of families, I was in the third with my dog in a small tent. Felt like loads of space, lots of showers and toilets so never had to wait. Everything very clean. Highland cows and a lovely nature walk, even two goats near the dish washing room. Very friendly staff and a printout of a walk into Whitby from the site (about 3 miles). Aidan even gave me hints for other walks from the site. Local pub was also friendly (folk music happening the nights I was there). Ice cream was lovely and lunch was also good value.

3 night stay pitched up on non electric field. Easy to find, 5 minute drive from Whitby. Large pitches with 6 meters between each tent 3 different fields if i can remember around the kids play area which my boy loved. Polite staff, mens and ladies toilets both with showers, disabled toilet and 2 more toilets situated next to the wash room. Cows, goats and a lovely nature sculpture trail through the woods. Not ideal for wheelchairs or pushchairs as there is a steep decline and then incline getting out. Ice cream parlour is lovely with around 24 different flavours. £2.20 each. Also a tea room with seating both in and outdoors. £25 a night, we paid £10 deposit with the balance on arrival, cars can be parked next to tent but time restrictions are in place for noise 11pm - 730pm If I remember rightly. Superb little place, the kids loved it and will definitely be returning.

We stayed for 2 nights, not our first visit and won't be our last. Good points: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Ice cream parlour and cafe on site - cooked breakfasts are good value and very tasty. The nature trail is great fun. Downsides: as the site increases in popularity there aren't really enough showers and toilets at busy times, and it's quite a walk (uphill!) from the pitches at the bottom. Another toilet block nearer the bottom field would be nice, as would better charging facilities for phones etc. There is a "dogs on leads" policy which unfortunately is sometimes ignored leading to piles of uncollected dog poo. It's a shame a few irresponsible owners spoil it for everyone.

We stayed for 4 nights in our camper on the hard standing pitches. The view is amazing, the staff are mega helpful and the shower/toilet block is spotless. Each day we walked the ancient Monks trail down into Raswarp, then followed the train track into Whitby. A perfect way to start the day. Back at camp aftera days adventure was always a great experience. The field below was filled with families enjoying BBQ and fires until dusk, then you could hear a pin drop. Amazing place.

We stayed on the campsite for three nights this week and absolutely loved it! All communal areas were sparkling clean, the staff were wonderful and friendly and the camping areas were free of litter and easy to get around. My only criticism would be to add more toilets as it is quite a walk from the back of the field to the main area. That is only a minor gripe though and we will definitely be back ASAP! We did try out the famous ice cream on every day we stayed and it is delicious! We also sampled the breakfast on our last day and that too was lovely. Really set us up for the drive home! Can’t wait for our next visit!

This is the farm that makes the Beacon ice cream and they should be made aware of the prices they are charging for their ice creams in Whitby. An ice cream in a cone with bits and flake cost £6.40 when I visited Whitby on Tuesday 2nd September 2020. I ordered two so it cost £12.80 where do they justify such a high rip off charge it is appalling. People go to Bridlington get a single ice cream with all the trimmings for under £2.00 and better service. Won't be going back to rip off Whitby for a long time.

Went with our daughter and 2 grandchildren to cool down with some of the fabulously tasty Beacon Farm ice-cream. My wife had an afternoon cream tea whilst the rest of us had a mixture of ice-creams. They are generally very busy in the tea-rooms so you may have a slight wait - but we were not there to rush things- well worth the wait. There is an indoor play area including an indoor bouncy castle for the children whilst the adults sit outside in the sun catching the delicious drops of melting ice-cream. We generally end up buying 6 boxes of various flavours of ice-cream for our freezer at home - purely for the grandchildren you understand (my favorite is the cinder toffee one)

What a horrible experience. Nasty, rude proprietor. This lady was having a bad day, from the moment I said I wanted a small size ice for the kids as I didn’t want to spend £20 on ice cream. I was subjected to what amounted to a ‘telling off’ as this ice cream was expensive as it was the best? There is more, but never mind. The ice cream btw, was nice, however my 10 yr old son, did state he preferred Trillo’s dairy ice at half the price from the day before! Enough said.

Visited here today, parked up and noticed what a beautiful farm this is.....lierally that where it ended. Walked in, and the first thing we noticed was loads of food on the floor, and some of the tables that needed cleaning. There was flies all around the beams as we walked towards the counter at the back of this tea room. There were 3 people getting served by the most disinterested 'ice queen' behind the counter, who if she attempted could not be anymore approachable if she tried. We ordered our very mediocre ice cream, which if I am honest we have had better in Whitby previously, but decided to travel just outside to Beacon Farm for a change, which we wish we hadn't. Sat at a reasonably clean table (which we thought), only to literally stick to it!. There was plastic tablecovers on all the tables and I can only imagine that they are all the same, sticky, dirty and covered in whatever. We left there needing to go into the outside toilets to wash our hands. Will never visit here again, needs a good clean!

The food ranges from bacon or sausage baps (brilliant with loads of filling) to full English Breakfast and loads of specials on the blackboard. There is an outdoor seating area attached to the café which welcomes dogs so we were able to sit in the sunshine and enjoy our food. Off this area there is an indoor play area with a bouncy castle which keeps the little ones occupied. As per the title this is also an ice cream parlour. The ice cream is made on site, has won awards and is sold throughout the region. I'm ashamed to say I didn't get round to sampling the ice cream whilst staying on their adjoining campsite so will at least have an excuse to go back soon!I would highly recommend this cafe.

As a local this is a useful cafe and little play area for the whole family. Yes, it needs a little tlc and the inside bouncy castle area is a bit dated, but you get nice food and the kids get a play. We have always been able to get a table and there is an outside courtyard which is welcomed in the Summer months. The service is sometimes a little slow however. This is not the Ritz, which it is not claiming to be, it's a working farm that produces it's own delicious brand of ice cream, and has a good selection of resonably priced, good food. We will keep coming here as the kids like it, I love the mushroom soup and, being a local, it is nice to escape from the madness that is Whitby during it's busy times!

We booked a table as this was a highly rated place for a roast dinner near Scarborough. I had called ahead and enquired about vegetarian roast dinner options for my girlfriend. On the phone I was assured there were multiple options and although this technically was the case, neither were necessarily the best accompaniments for a roast (stuffed pepper and stuffed pasta). The service was great and we had a lovely table in a corner and the atmosphere was cozy and great. I ordered the beef roast dinner and my girlfriend ordered the stuffed peppers with a roast. The food came relatively quickly. The selection of vegetables was nice and was a welcomed change to have red cabbage and cheesy leeks although they would have been a bit more generous with the portion size as it was to share between the 2 of us. It would have also been nice to have some optional extras on the menu like a portion of cauliflower cheese. The roast dinner also only came with 2 roast potatoes which were really big but would have preferred 3 or 4 smaller ones. It came with a jug of gravy however it was meat gravy and there was not a vegetarian alternative but luckily my girlfriends stuffed peppers were quite saucy so her dinner wasn't dry. My beef was nice however it was slightly chewy and could have been hotter coming out and was only kept warm by hot gravy. Bit of an irrelevant side note but the loos were really nice! Everything else was really lovely and we did have a nice meal and I appreciate it is a small country pub in Scarborough but if you advertise as vegetarian friendly then I think it needs to follow through fully - for example being advised they don't have a veggie gravy upon ordering the dinner or even having a veggie alternative. I'm sorry to be negative, especially when we did have such a lovely time (hence the 4 stars) bu my girlfriend has been vegetarian for 5 years and situations like these feel very frustrating and easily avoidable if staff are more aware and informed.

Nice to see in and out doors however people just can’t follow instructions 🙈. Nice to sit and eat in a buzzing community. Not sure I could come in summer . You would definitely need to use park and ride as we needed to be very patient to achieve a space . So many places to wander and shop .
