We've had pasties from here as takeaway and when I was on my own I ate in. Busy little cafe, clean with a small but tempting selection of savoury pastries (pasties, etc.) and cakes. Nice for places like this to do well.

We came across this little gem of a cafe after getting soaked walking the dogs up Kitt Hill, we had a full English which was served quickly, it was very ‘clean’, not swimming in grease like some places, the bacon was to die for! And the tea and coffee were freshly made and good quality, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we even brought the rest of the family back for breakfast and to buy some delicious pasties before leaving for home after a relaxing holiday in Callington.

My wife and I have intended trying this venue for a few months now, as only live around 25 mins away. Had to do an errand or two nearby, so prefect time to try. Sun was shining, the glorious yellow building looked so inviting. Plenty of parking on site too. My wife went in, whilst I settled in our t'Whippet at an outside table. We had a steak pasty, a steak & stilton pasty and flat white coffees. Wonderful staff and gaffer, immaculately clean place and a nice steady flow of punters. One lady we met had come up from Saltash, as heard how wonderful the place was. She certainly left with a good bag full. I went back in, to order from the gorgeous selection of cakes. I told the staff and owner, that both my wife and I agreed, the coffees were the best we'd ever had and that the pasties were top drawer, best pastry I've ever had in one. You could tell the pasties and cakes were skilfully made, with high end ingredients. I then purchased a selection of cakes and an absolute must to return here in due course. Highly recommended.

We have been visiting The Old Bakery from the day after it opened, going a few times most weeks between us. We have watched the menu grow as Lee and Julie cheerfully build up their business, and enjoy the various sweet and savoury items as they're added. I'm old enough to have had thousands of "full english" breakfasts in a full range of establishments - hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. and theirs is simply the best I've had. Clearly good quality ingredients, cooked perfectly and every item is piping hot on the well-presented plate. I've taken several friends visiting the area and they can't wait to return for a bacon bap! We're also working through the cakes and other delights. It's great to see real local clotted cream, "proper" saffron cake and local ingredients. People are voting with their feet, or should I say their appetite, as there's a growing clientele!

I visit several times a week, (at least!) and their cakes are fantastic - the hevva cake is a particular favourite of mine! Nothing is too much trouble for them, even adding local clotted cream when I ask for it to go with my cakes! The bacon baps are super, and the cooked breakfasts are piping hop, with very high quality ingredients. I quite often buy their frozen pasties for 'easy tea' too. The atmosphere is lovely, really welcoming and friendly, and they always ask how my day is going. Really looking forward to see what new things come from this place - I'm voting for take away sandwiches and toasties!

Tasteless pasty and lacking customer service. I’ve been trying to get there before they sold out of pasties for some time. Ordered a cheese and onion pasty. Was served by a sullen person who took ages to get the pasty and take the payment. Lacking in manners unfortunately which does not help the experience. Nevertheless, I was looking forward to the pasty. However, it was more like a potato pasty. If there was any cheese or onion in there, it clearly made a run for it. Very disappointed

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
