Young and enthusiastic staff keen to make your visit enjoyable ….. which they do with ease. Food is excellent and well presented. Without a doubt …. Best coffee in Sevenoaks!

I ordered a mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini for takeaway. It took them nearly 20 mins to serve it boxed up. I wish I’d checked what was inside the box before I got home - it was totally over flavoured by the pesto. Pretty revolting. And it cost me over £8! Will not be returning.

11-Mar-23: Visited for lunch after a walk in Knole Park. The quiche & salad was absolutely delicious. I've since had a takeaway of the same dish, to bring home, which was equally good.

We have visited this cafe half a dozen times - and will return again. The coffee, food and staff have always been great. On our last visit my husband left his prescription sunglasses on the table. When we realised we telephoned the cafe and they posted them to us in Kent. That’s what I call ‘going the extra mile’……..

Coffee was ok although not the nicest I’ve had - we ordered cakes to go with - lemon and poppy seed was tasty although a bit dense - the granola bar was pleasant too - slightly overpriced but possibly trying to compete with other places nearby such as Gail’s and the usual Starbucks etc. staff were busy but pleasant and service relatively quick after paying. The big issue for me as some other reviews have stated is that the free wi fi means single or double tables are taken up with people doing school projects or work on laptops - and you can see they’ve bought one drink between them and been there for the duration during busy times when tables are needed. We ended up sitting at a table for 6 when there were 2 of us because no smaller tables were free and guess what they had people using laptops on them. Interesting to note that many of the 5 star reviews state the fact that it’s brilliant for people wanting a place to study because of the free WiFi.

This used to be a nice place but today (Mother’s Day ) it was terrible: Cappuccinos had no fluff - it was a latte The tables were dirty It took 40 min! For a cheddar sandwich and a sausage roll. They have table numbers but don’t use it. We had two high chairs and at one point a waitress came by and just grabbed one without asking. Not going back and would not recommend. Really poor selection of food too

Very difficult to enjoy this lovely Coffee shop and its great food and drink ! Because so many tables occupied by laptops and single glasses of water Really hard to find a seat

We've visited Basil lots of times- it's one of our favourites in Sevenoaks (and Tonbridge when we visit). Good quality coffee and an interesting selection of food too, and it's dog friendly which is great. Highly recommended by us.

Great little coffee house in the centre of Sevenoaks. WE had a lovely salad lunch here with frittata.

Set up here for working and the food and drink selection along with great WIFI will keep me coming back again and again - green smoothie particularly recommended

Came here with my daughter to revise….it’s peaceful with great wiFi. Service is friendly and the food and drink choice is great. Love the card tip machine too

Just the 2 of us, one flat white and a small milkshake… wait for it… £8:30, yep that’s what you’ll pay for 2 small drinks. I realise prices have gone up recently but over £5 for a small milkshake is pathetic

We'd hope to have lunch here but due to the ridiculous queuing system (I totally agree with someone's earlier comment) we went elsewhere and returned later just for coffee and cake. Both of which were delicious.

Went there as a family to have some coffee and breakfast on a Saturday. However, they were out of quite a lot of food items such as sausages etc. We settled for just coffee, which was nice but was slightly disappointing at their lack of planning.

Popped in for a quick visit and whilst the cake was lovely (Millionaires Shortbread) I couldn’t believe how expensive a coffee and cake cost £7.95. Definitely not worth it for the especially given the tea was just a cheap teabag.

We’ve only ever had coffee and cakesthere but the selection has been good and delicious. We have always found the service efficient. The lunches look good and healthy so will try them next.

Prior to Covid, I would come here weekly for the delicious, fruity granola and yogurt bowls. Lovely coffee too and a perfect atmosphere for brunch with friends/family. Looking forwards to going back as soon as I can!
