Absolutely terrible place to go,Me and my friends have been in there many times before and we asked two girls could we have a go on the pool table because they had been using it for a long time.They started swearing at my friends and the bar tender took the pool cue away.Then one of the girls kicked me in the shin and they got kicked out. The girls then got back into the pub and me and my friends got removed for no reason.The bouncers was completely useless and a guy in a blue polo was so rude,will not be returning and would not recommend.

Always a good quiet spot during the week, decent pub garden with heaters, shame no longer seem sell cask ale and their craft fridge is no longer properly stocked. Good live music and open mic regularly. Staff all friendly

My favourite place in Bromley- amazing wine list, good food- incredible staff. Very friendly atmosphere- nice and relaxed but good service and a great selection of drinks at the bar. Haven’t yet been for a quiz night but hope to soon!

Recently discovered the Barrel and Horn as I have been frequenting other Bromley eateries. Certainly I was missing out, great wine list, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff and really good food.

We came to Barrel and Horn after a terrible and failed experience with Zizzi for Mother’s Day. They staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make our experience positive. I honestly couldn’t recommend the place and the staff enough. Thank you for recovering our experience!

We had mould on our burger buns, over a week later and our refund has not been received. Management are not returning my call.

Went for a roast with friends and two small children. The roast was absolutely amazing! The best I have had for a very long time. They even split a kids roast up for us. Really good.

What a gem. Fantastic choice of food for both main menu and kids. Great selection of drinks but the standard and local beers too - Fab cocktails! Scrumptious Sunday lunch with all the trimming. Beef cooked well. Staff where amazing attentive and friendly- couldn’t ask for more. Special shout out to Kayleigh- she and the rest of the staff worked so hard and could hear others making good comments too. Such a lovely atmosphere. Extra special touch with the children play/craft table - what a brilliant idea. Our kids loved - in a secure area - with assistance on hand. Both play staff were amazingly friendly, extremely exclusive and clearly fantastic at their job! Couldn’t be happier that we book this random local gem today- definitely be returning.

Funky place, good range of drinks. All the staff were good. However there was a female member of staff with body odour issue - and bad hygiene in place your are eating and drinking in , is going to be bad for business.

Barrel & Horn used to be one of my fave venues to attend with a dear friend. This friend passed away so I ventured here did first time in ages fur a Sunday Roast with my boyfriend. The food did not disappoint and the memories of many a good Sunday roast had with a dear but now deceased friend were happily brought back. Still a great place as it always was.

Normally love the place and most of the bar staff are fantastic however a young guy with glass and short blonde curly hair was so rude and unwelcoming. If this is a new member of the management team I can see the bar going down hill very quick. He rudely asked us to be quiet and we felt we were constantly be watched. I think he should of been more concerned about the young girls doing coke in the toilet. Such a shame

The food here is absolutely amazing, and is always consistent. They have a nice range of craft beers and bubble staff that are always happy to assist. Will 100% come back here again!

After usually opting for the Partridge for our regular Fuller’s pint and food, we finally chose to try out the Barrel & Horn. And a very good decision it was. First up - it’s more set out for dining than drinking, or at least it as mid afternoon on a Sunday. It’s spacious and a bit loud but not obtrusively so. Our Fuller’s wine discount code didn’t work but the manager honoured it without hesitation. Very impressive. My wife had the vegan chilli and she thought it was amazing. Not just a veggie afterthought - you could really taste the different flavours and not a Quorn piece in sight. I had the buffalo burger and it was fantastic, but the string fries were a tad too salty for my liking. All in all a really nice experience. You can see how this place can easily co-exist with its Fuller’s neighbour. Totally different but worth a visit. We’ll be back.

We visited with our family and two young children. The pub is family friendly and spacious, very accommodating for little ones.

I have lived in the Bromley area my entire life and have gotten bored very easily with the same old places... but not The Barrel and Horn. The atmosphere in this place is so vibey and homely, there is great decor such as comfy chairs and sofas with blankets, an abundance of flowers and greenery, and cool little lights and art everywhere. There is a cool smoking area which is wonderful in the summer afternoons. The beer selection is exemplary and wide in range, and there is a lovely variety of fresh cocktails. The bar staff are all very skilled and pay attention to detail, they make their drinks and serve their customers with passion and thoughtfulness. The food is to die for, and best of all they allow dogs. I could not recommend this little gem enough!!

Go here every week and love it every time, place never let’s me down! The staff are great fun and it’s full of good people.

Barril y bocina en Bromley es una broma. . . menús en cada mesa, solo fui al bar para pedir comida. . . No, la cocina está cerrada. . . ¿Por qué hay menús en cada mesa? Oh, porque lo usarán más tarde esta noche. . . entonces, ¿no puedes molestarte en recogerlos? Me senté junto a esta mesa durante 15 minutos mientras 2 empleados charlan en el bar (ver fotos) ¡Y la ironía del arte de la pared! ! !

Came for open mic and was really impressed. The acts were great and the vibe from the crowd was just as awesome. Worth the trip! Found the craft cans fridge and was blown away. Best kept secret in Bromley. A real gem.

La comida era bastante buena pero a un precio de 12. 50 esperábamos más de eso. Anunciados como tallarines con calabaza, queso azul y espinacas. . . ridículo. Apenas había espinacas en ella y el queso azul tampoco estaba por ninguna parte. No vino con una cuchara y ninguno de los camareros vino a vernos. Para ser justos, la comida era bastante buena, pero terminamos yendo a otro lugar para tomar una copa después, y todos ordenaron algunos bocados y compartidores allí, no es algo en lo que quieras gastar dinero después de haber salido a cenar. Yo no recomendaría este lugar.

Acabo de mudarme a la zona y no he estado en Barrel & Horn desde que se reformó hace unos 3 o 4 años. Se deshicieron de los muebles Granny y reemplazaron esa área con una sala de juegos. . . Bien por todas las cuentas. También han mejorado la zona del jardín con calefacción y terraza. La selección de cerveza es tan astuta como siempre. . . aunque han aumentado mucho los precios de las gins.

At the end of a day where we’d been all over the place and skipped lunch we stumbled across the barrel on our way home and it was exactly what we were after. The selection of beers was great, burgers were tasty and the staff friendly. Liked the layout and atmosphere too. Will be back.

I visited for the Estrelle beer promotion night and played there with my band, Los Twangeros. The staff were friendly and engaging, and the general atmosphere lively. Didn't try the food but the menu looked good. I actually left my iphone there, and general manager Andy returned it to me safely after I tracked it there. Good pub!

Came here for Sunday lunch with family and though service was fast, food wasn’t great considering the £75 food bill (3 adults and one child). Fish and chips was huge but dry and lack lustre. Burger was mediocre. Won’t be going there again.

Nice bar, decent atmosphere. But when one bar tender is more interested in having a 5 minute conversation with someone stood right next to you, and the other prefers to serve women behind you even after acknowledging you while serving someone else, this place is worth not returning to.

First time of visiting, had a quirky feel to it. They offer cocktail deals and my proseco was lovely. Only there for a quick drink but see me spending a evening there. Bar staff approachable and friendly.

There are gastro pubs and there are pubs that serve food. This pub certainly falls into the latter. That said, the chicken burger far surpassed expectations, which when it comes to burgers is extremely high. The chips were pretty good as well. My friends pasta however was mediocre though. Throw in a couple of cold pints and I was a happy man.

Drinks are pricey but expected for a pretentious bar. The DJ however, rude, arrogant and blinkered. When asked if he could play something with words, any pop or RnB song he said...nah I only play house and garage. Looking around the very quiet bar on a Saturday night, no one was enjoying the music but even the doorman said his advise falls on deaf ears. Yet another place in Bromley that won’t last as it doesn’t listen to customers.

Been coming here more regularly over the last few week with my partner and really like the place. Good selection of beers and teas, great Sunday roast, fun Monday quiz and the staff are knowledgeable about what they're serving. Can't fault it.

On a Friday and Saturday night they have live music and a great atmosphere. The music is very eclectic as are the punters.

We booked a table of 14 for our Xmas Staff party. Our TA called 7 times to try and firm up arrangements for the christmas menu and was told each time that we could order on the day.

Visited as a larger party following a visit to the pantomime. The pub is modern and spacious yet quirky and comfortable. The drinks were fine but the food was the real star of the show. Every course was delicious, from the Scottish salmon, to the turkey and the cheesecake to finish! The service was friendly and warm and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Went in this bar after on a Saturday evening recently. Really nice feel to it, relaxed and spacious. Some great beers on draft and in bottles. The singer was excellent and had people dancing and singing along.

Bustling pub on the week end with live music on a Friday evening, Plenty of keg beers and ciders (not many draft craft ales though) the food is quite popular with a lot of folk going for the sharing platters.

I have been coming here for years but recently this has been the last straw. The staff members behind the bar are constantly rude and seem far more interested in chatting to their friends and taking smoke breaks when the pub is quite visibly busy. New members of staff don't seem to know what they are doing & I suggest proper training be put in full order. I will not be returning & have advised my peers and colleagues to avoid as well.

I ordered the vegetarian option waffles for brunch. I say 'waffles' but 'waffle' is more accurate as you are only given one. Upon arrival they had bacon sitting on top of them. I told the waitress that I had ordered the vegetarian waffles, her reply was, 'we don't do vegetarian waffles'. I told her that I had seen them on the menu with blueberries and maple syrup and being a vegetarian I couldn't eat the meal, she then took the waffles back to the chef and removed the bacon. When she came back she said, 'The chef has taken off the bacon, next time make sure you are more specific when you order.' An apology and the offer of new waffles would have been a much more courteous response. Unsurprisingly we have not returned.

Awful member of management working the Wednesday night shift had no control over the bar and no manners. Was rude to customers. Will never be going back even as a normal regular I have never felt so disgusted in the service and attitude towards both staff and customers. Manager arguing with members of staff behind the bar - highly unprofessional.

Visited twice in the last week and will definitely be coming back. Very friendly bar staff who are incredibly knowledgeable about craft beer. Great selection. Great service.

Popped in to check out what looked a stylish addition to Bromley. How could they have got it so wrong ...a good place to start was the loud and incredibly overbearing singer performing Steve Wonder covers, which was flatter than the beer! The layout, uncomfortable lighting and children running around also didn't help. Someone has tried too hard, they've introduced the stereotypical parts they consider a style bar has, which has resulted in a car crash and artificial space. It's all in the detail, of which this place has none. Nil points.

Called in here for a couple of drinks on a Sunday evening. Very quiet, a few people dining, we didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food. Singer had a nice voice but we could have easily dozed off! Bar staff nice enough

I visited 8/1/2017 with my husband, 3 year old daughter, baby (3 months old) and our five friends (all adults). I was told that it was a "family friendly" place and I was happy when I walked in and saw other people with babies and small children. There was a mix up with our table which we had previously booked for 8 people but a member of staff quickly sorted it. Luckily we were near the bathrooms, which is always good with a small child. My husband and I both had the roast dinner and our three year old had a cheese burger and chips. The food was obviously brought out when it was cooked which meant that it was hot but meant that some of us were finishing as some of us were starting. We had to wait for our roasts for a long time and when they did come out there was no sign of our daughter's dinner. When we asked the waitress she went off to find out where it was and then came back and said it would be another 10 minutes. She had eaten half of my dinner before hers arrived! It was clear that they had forgotten her dinner and had to cook it. The food though was extremely good and probably the best roast I ever had in a restaurant before. I would totally recommend the roast.

We went for lunch and were told there was a 20 min wait on ordering as they had Xmas parties in. 90 mins later we still didn't have our food. Bar staff were very apologetic but a restaurant that size should be able to cope with more than two Xmas parties. When we were waiting for our food we could see the chefs from our table doing everything BUT cooking. Really disappointing.

Although the pub has recently had a refit, it hasn't lost its uniqueness or it's great range of beers. The food always delivers as do the staff who are always friendly and happy to help guide you to a beer that you'll love. They are very knowledgeable, in particular Matt, who was happy to let me try a few beers before I found the one I liked. Highly recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Barrel and Horn, it's a great atmosphere. Our cocktails and food were1st class! Matt the bar man was so attentive and friendly, he really made our visit memorable, we will definitely return!

I've been here a few times and I have a great time every visit. Yes this pub is pricier than other ones around Bromley but you get what you pay for! Amazing food and amazing staff. Was served by a chap named Matt who was like a craft beer connoisseur and is very much needed as there's so many different types to choose from.

This pub is a pub for people who love proper beer, not a carlsberg in sight. A great range of craft beers on tap. Very knowledgeable staff, who are all very friendly. Matt in particular has been amazing at educating me about the wide range of ever changing beers and learning what appeals to me, to the point I usually let him decide my order for me! Plus it has shuffleboard, which is a great bar game, a bit like curling but with less brooms and ice.

Good music, nice decor and friendly staff. Only downsides were that the food was very slow to arrive and when it did one of the dishes was luke warm and I had to send the chips back for a fresh batch. Definitely worth visiting for a drink though.

Popped in when meeting friends for pre-lunch drinks but unlikely to do that again any time soon unless the prices are brought down. Over £9+ for a glass of wine. Outrageous prices! Extremely uncomfortable padded metal chairs at tiny tables (cram more peeps in?). Food also on pricey side but average in choices on menu. Sorry, too expensive for return visit.

The barrel is a nice bar with good clientele the food is great and yes the drinks are a little more expensive but that's what keeps the nobs out and in weather spoons if you want a nice drink or food with good surrounding the barrel is the place for you if you're more bothered about counting the Penny's got back to weatherspoons. I pay the extra so I don't have to deal with the nobs that drink in weatherspoons. They are not the type of people I want round my kids.

Visited barrel and horn yesterday and was very surprised with a new decor. Looks great, amazing and much better than before. Atmosphere was lovely and staff was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Lots great beers on taps, large choice of wines. Overall very great visit, definitely much better that lots of other places in the area....

I had fallen out with this place, but decided to visit after a recent refit / facelift. So glad I did! Love the new open, airy space and the new decor - drinks were a great price to! Welcome back

My boyfriend and I frequent B&H regularly and we love it here. Staff are great and music on Friday nights is particularly good. That being said, we were dismayed tonight at the fact that we were kicked out of our seats at 9:10pm because someone had just arrived for a reservation that they had made for 7:30pm. Surely, at most, a 30 minute discretionary window is more than enough. It would have been nice if B&H had honoured the fact that we'd been there in that spot for 2 hours already and the group that made the reservations showed up nearly 2 hours late.

I had previously written 2 glowing reviews for the barrel and horn but my last visit left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. After having lunch in Havet, I took my Mum in here for a drink and ordered 2 large wines. The wines certainly didn't look large and I was charged £14!! I was in shock as I handed over my money. We had just bought a whole bottle in Havet for around the same price. I used to like going in here but I don't appreciate being ripped off so will give it a wide berth from now on.

I come here for the beer and good atmosphere, friendly staff. Conveniently located next to other bars and restaurants.

Met friends here for drinks on a Saturday night, busy but we found a table. Good atmosphere and vibe without being too loud. Drinks ok priced; shame they don't do cocktails (or Pimms in the summer).

I love how quirky and fun this place is, not only the staff but the decor as well. They have a brilliant choice of beers and if you're not sure just ask and they can recommend a good one. I really hope this place never closes, it's a bit expensive but I don't mind because it's rare to find a place that's so nice and comfortable to be in with such friendly bar staff who always welcome you with a smile and never forget to say goodbye when you leave :)

fantastic selection of craft beers, its sometimes a bit difficult to get served at the weekends because it gets really busy but the staff is really polite and knowledgable

The staff are friendly and helpful, they have an order at the bar system, however, when we arrived as a large group they got a member of staff to come and take the order from the table, a nice touch.We went there on a Monday, they had a quiz, which was fun to join in. The food choice is limited, however it is good value and adequately nice for a value dish.

Lovely atmosphere for a drink and meet up with friends. Beer is kept well, but if you are a real ale drinker you will probably not stay long as the range,if any, is limited.

Had a few Sunday roasts here and good every time, but every time is different which is kind of good and bad. They do such the kitchen between 3 and 5, so avoid these times. One of the bard staff a bit rude last time we went but the staff are usually lovely too. We love the old sofas for a post dinner lounge!

This place has a vast array of beers, mostly continental, but all very different and not what you would expect of any other pub. I went there on a Thusday night, and there was some sort of entertainment, not sure what it could be classified as, but it kept me amused for an hour anyway. Toilets clean, bar staff seem keen and interested, only problem were the idiot customers sitting in front of the beer taps, has'nt anyone told them about bar etiquette and not to sit in front of the beer taps ?Food is excellent, if a bit dear, but all in all it's a very nice place. In stead of a pint, I have 2 halves oof different beers.

Very nice to go in Bromley. Individually 50's American styled decor. Good friendly and knowledgeable staff about their range of bottle, draft and keg beer. Had some of the food and would recommend the pulled pork Nachos. They use to do fish goujons which were excellent. Bring them back, I miss them. Does do live music on a Friday and Saturday night. The acts have been a bit hit and miss. Overall if you like your craft beer in a different non traditional pub, you won't be disappointed. Sadly there not many good places in Bromley to have a night out but there are plans to change this soon.

The menu is not extensive and really not all the traditional pub fare. I found it an eclectic mix of American fare (pulled pork and southern fried chicken burger) and English pub (fish and chips). However, the food was good if not exciting but no complaints at the price point. Still it has a great atmosphere and remains my favourite pub in the Bromley town centre.

Lovely spacious place, plenty of room and wonderful atmosphere. Vintage furnishings and comfortable feel to this pub. Sunday roast was delicious and reasonably priced. A lovely touch was being given a taster of the chocolate and chilli tart dessert before we ordered it.Large selection of cask beers on offer, which was a plus for our party. Friendly and efficient staff.Some attention needed to the worn toilet area, but overall a lovely place to eat and drink with a relaxed atmosphere. We recommend a visit and will defiantly visit again.

This well-located pub is really large, decorated with vintage furnishings (it sort of looks like an Antic pub) & has friendly, helpful staff.What really sets it apart is the fantastic selection of beers. Keg, cask & bottled - there is something for everyone! They have a solid selection of Fuller's beers and a great rotation on the other taps. Every person we've ever spoken to in this pub has been lovely and it's dog-friendly to boot. We come here pretty much every time we're in Bromley. Only wish Beckenham had a pub this awesome too.

Have only drunk in here and it is a nice place to have a night out. The beers are a little pricey. Its big with plenty of tables and they often have open mic nights and small bands.

I drink here regularly with friends and this definitely has one of the best atmospheres in Bromley!Unlike some other places where you seem to just get idiots, this place seems to have the more 'sensible' person in the Bromley area drink. The unique beers are quite cool as well. If your in the area, pop in for a few fruity beers!

I have visited the Barrel and Horn a few times of the last year and it is certainly becoming one of my favourite places for a drink.The range of drinks on offer is fantastic, so many choices of different drinks, probably be about 12 choices on tap last time, mostly from smaller brewery's rather than usual same old names. Although I haven't tried the food yet, the plates I saw coming from the kitchen looked appetising. I love they fact they have live music and open mic night as it gives you a good excuse to stay all night. The decoration is quirky and helps to create a laid back atmosphere. My only criticism is that some of the seating it's that comfortable and has probably been brought more for its look rather than feel.

always enjoy a selection of guest beers, including a couple of Sierra Nevada brews on tap, which is great to find. the food here is gastro-pub fayre, and very tasty, if not groundbreaking. my favourite bar in bromley by a fair way.

Went to this pub on Saturday with 7 friends before theatre visit. 5 of us wanted steak but were told they had no steak and waitress just stood there without offering alternative or apologising. There was no chicken either so basically the only choices were fish and chips or burgers! This was about 5.45 so not that late to have run out of food. When the fish and chips arrived the mushy peas were cold and some of us had skinny fries and some had chunky chips which seemed odd. When my husband asked for a pint of bitter the barstaff had no idea what he was talking about. It also took 10 minutes for another employee to pour 3 shorts, 3 beers and a bottle of lager. I don't know if this is normal for this bar but myself and my friends will not go back or recommend it.

We're always on the hunt for dog-friendly places, so finding the B&H after recentlymoving to Bromley was great. We've been a few times and the food is always good - not 5*, but good value and tasty enough. What really stands out is how welcoming they have been to our pooch! They always give him a bowl of water and plenty of attention. Lovely house wines, too. Definitely recommend.
