Barneby Inn in Herefordshire, County of

Tried to book a table for 7people for dinner and was told too big a party then asked for a table of 4and 3 and still wouldn’t take a booking, Found really weird as some reviews were good and was looking forward to going ,

Fed up with left overs from Christmas, we decided to eat at the Barneby Inn. Hungry family members had the mixed grill which was huge and included everything you might hope for. My steak was really good, a perfect size and very tasty. I was too full but others decided to choose from the delicious pudding menu. A great evening, in a warm and welcoming pub and a very reasonable bill at the end of the night.

We were staying locally for a couple of days to attend a wedding, 4 adults, a toddler, 3, and a young baby, we phoned the pub to ask if they served food and if the children were allowed in, the answer was initially yes but then changed, they asked how many were in the party, we said 4 adults and 2 children, no can't cope with that size we can only have 4 on a table, okay we said we will gave two separate tables one for 4 and one for two, no your still a party of 6, the kitchen us not set up for that many was the reply, We left it at that but decide md we would just go for a drink instead. We arrived at a very poorly lite carpark, tumbleweed blowing round the and entered the pub, one person in the pub, plenty of room and said are we okay to have just a drink, no, to many of you, we asked what was the issue can you explain it to us, no was the reply. A little bemused and frustrated we asked again the answer this time was we don't have to tell you anything , excellent customer service It is so refreshing in these troubled times with so many places struggling that at least this pub is thriving and can afford to turn away the neck end of £70 to £100 worth of business. .

Thanks guys, yet another fantastic takeaway last night. The best fish and chips ever and only £5.25! Only a takeaway tonight, but we will return , with friends and family, for one of your amazing meals.

The takeaways here, the only thing that can be served in lockdown, are fantastic. Safely served, from a hatch in the porch, they are delicious and we will use the pub more. Once lockdown is over.

Just had a drink in this pub, really old de world nice landlords 2 brother's, staying down the road at docklow beer good nice welcome covid safe didn't eat but a lot of people did food looked good, back in May will be calling again.

Decent and friendly county pub.. Welcoming and down to earth people, has couple of local ales.. Plenty of choices for the menu and not too expensive... Landlord is friendly and pleasant

Cualquiera que esté buscando un delicioso almuerzo de los domingos lo encontrará en este pub del país. Bien preparado con ingredientes de calidad, éste es realmente el sabor de cocinar en casa y a un precio asequible. Mi única crítica es que el pub necesita urgentemente unas pocas manos de pintura en todo como parece un poco cansado y necesita de una buena y exhaustivo limpio. Afortunadamente la cocina tiene un aspecto limpio y bien equipado. Definitivamente volveremos pero esperamos ver un lugar más cuando lo haga.
