Old fashioned and basic good food and friendly service 😋 👌 lovely quiet place

Came across this amazing little place while travelling through Bardsea. Lovely little garden area, dog friendly and the beach across the road. Food is good value for money, would recommend a visit.

Very quant little cafe very close to the sea. This is a very small cafe but it has a large dog friendly garden area. It’s out of the way but great if you’re passing or walking your dog along the shore.

Lovely little cafe with outside seating. Perfect for an ice cream or snack when visiting Bardsea beach.

Went with family for food and ice cream. There is a large variety of ice cream flavours, 3 of which I had in a tub with a chocolate flake 😋. There is also a selection of hot food and sandwiches. On a beautiful sunny day it was a pleasure to sit in the sheltered garden and enjoy good food with a great view of Bardsea. There is a parking area across the road with unobstructed view across Morecambe Bay. A great little place for a relaxing pit-stop, or a longer stay. The owner, Paul Stoller, has done a great job with this little gem 😎

Found this little gem of a place last year and coming back again in a few weeks, cannot wait, lovely lattes and food x

Stopped off for a break whilst driving through to Barrow in Furness. Only had an ice cream cornet, chocolate flavoured, absolutely delicious and a generous portion. Would definitely return when back in the area.

Delicious ice-cream and flapjacks - good coffee - and the hidden garden is a nice spot when the sun is shining (or to shelter from the wind off Morecambe Bay). Worth a detour when walking on Birkrigg Common.

Lovely little shack cafe opposite the beach, no indoor seating but plenty outside. Food was really good and reasonably priced, rain forces us to leave before we tried the home made cake but looked delicious

Excellent place. Well worth nipping of the A590 to take in a break. Everything you need home made fresh and very friendly folk. We had a brew and cake superb 👌

Complete waste of time. Rang 30 mins ahead of time to check if they were opening today at 11am, lady assured me they were. Arrived at 11.25am to no-one there? Nothing had changed (weather etc) so up to you if you want to waste your time seeing if they are going to bother opening.

Beautiful little place, right by the beach , toilets up the road. Friendly owner, good food and lovely selection of ice cream and cakes homemade by the owners wife. Well worth a stop.

Great place for food and refreshments. Outside seating. There is lots of free parking over the road. There are toilets around 100 meters away.

We called in for hot chicks, and a great selection of ice cream. The staff helpfully pointed out the public toilets that we had missed 50 yrds away. Great outdoor seating in the sun. A nice coastal tarmac path connects the carparks with cooper lane beach too

Lovely lunch with a friend who isn't great on her pins We were helped get a seat with easy access and everyone is really friendly. Lunch was really fresh l had sandwiches, no curled edges! We both had delicious ice cream to follow. Would definitely recommend.

lovely and friendly staff the food smelt lovely we did not have any thou we had some lovely ice cream and the dog enjoyed his ice cream eventually when we managed to get him of the beach.

Lovely little place! Good selection of vegan options (sorbet and dairy-free ice cream, they also had diabetic friendly ice cream) and super friendly and helpful staff. Got some free vegan muffins too which were delicious, and definitely recommend the blackberry sorbet. Also has a lot of outside seating.

On a beautiful autumn Sunday .... had excellent ice cream to help us enjoy the views across to Heysham. Lots of lovely things to choose from ..... 2 freezer cabinets of different flavours of ice cream Together with very tempting cakes and bakes.....

Conduciendo por la carretera de la costa me apetecía una taza de té, qué hallazgo, tenía pastel de té tostado y pastel de zanahoria para comer, delicioso,Esta es una joya escondida de un lugar, el servicio fue excelente, la joven era habladora y encantadora, una persona real.Muy recomendable visitar.

Me detuve en la playa para un descanso y un almuerzo campestre planificado en un día horrible, pero vi la parrilla abierta y obtuve dos hamburguesas muy apreciadas; luego regresé por bebidas y pastel. Excelente y amable servicio, y muy recomendado. Volveremos a probar los helados.

Hicimos dos visitas mientras teníamos un día de playa, primero para tomar un café para llevar y luego para tomar un refrigerio para comer afuera. Mis hijos quedaron entusiasmados con sus helados y yo amaba tanto mi hamburguesa vegetariana que intenté recrearla varias veces en casa. Es una pena que actualmente no haya baños abiertos, pero si puedes vivir con eso, definitivamente te recomendaría una visita.

Expensive for what it is, ordered a sausage panini and got a chopped chipolata (or thinner) mixed with some cheese. A sorry state.

Ok, ordered Thunder + Lightning ice cream, turned out to be an attempt at the English Lakes Ice Cream version but failed! Staff were prompt and friendly though so good place overall.

Icecream wasn't very tasty, and there was no facilities for dogs to drink water

"Descubrimos" la playa frente al Kiosco de helados Bardsea - Chill & Grill esta semana. No solo es un excelente lugar para estacionar su autocaravana, el panorama marino de Morecombe Bay es impresionante. Así que encontrar un lugar tan maravilloso para un helado suntuoso al otro lado de la carretera fue exuberante como decimos en Bristol. Prueba su helado es memorable. La variedad Thunder & Lightning es fabulosa. También hacen una gran selección de otras cosas que aún no hemos probado. Por cierto, como un día para tus hijos y para ti, a ambos les encantará la playa. Es un pequeño oasis mientras las mamás y los papás locales jugaban en la corriente de agua dulce con sus ranas que fluyen hacia la bahía. Por el momento, hay un baño público enfrente. ASEGÚRESE de que dona unos peniques para "pagar para orinar". A los niños les encantará. . .

Very good ice cream with lovely staff and a wide (and interesting!) range of flavours.

Called in for two ice-creams when we were passing and were blown away with the variety of ices and flavours that they had to offer. We sat in the sunshine looking out towards Morecambe and they went down a treat.

A fantastic joint, run out of a small hut overlooking the estuary in Ulverston. Excellent choice of ice creams, and cockle-warming hot food choices. Very friendly staff. Beats the usual overpriced, under par joints. Highly recommended!

We were cycling past this place and decided to stop for a quick hot drink. If it had been hotter we would have wanted to sample the delicious ice creams on offer as the choice seemed great for such a small place. The coffee and tea and snacks we did chose was great but I really feel we should recommend something we didn’t eat!!!

We stopped here for a brew and a bite to eat after a walk on the beach. The cheese toastie was very reasonably priced, and came on focaccia, making it a very good toastie indeed.Note for vegans - I noticed a sign saying they did vegan sausages, which I didn't expect for such a small place.We had a couple of ice creams, mine was nice, the other half thought hers had thawed and refrozen, as it was crystallised and not a pleasant texture.You shouldn't have a problem with the low doorway, as long as you can read the clear signs, and also possess a vague idea of how tall you are and whether you'll fit through a doorway. Pretty simple stuff really.

Really low doorway into establishment, despite sign above door, my husband is now suffering with neck pain after bumping his had. A lovely location with outside seating but a health and safety hazard, has put us off going back. Sorry, had much better ice cream as well.

Ice cream was very avergae with multiple chunks of ice inside and a severe lack of flavour, much better Ice cream shops avaiable locally
