Sadly a very disappointing experience. We had the tasting menu that had very little pan Asian about it. The a la carte looked much more interesting. Service, unlike other feedback, was poor, chaotic and slow. Though we think a trainee may have been undergoing induction. Not all plates delivered were explained either. The monk fish was under for me, bordering on sushi which I love, but not in a cooked context, the wagyu lovely, whilst the chocolate dessert, even for a chocoholic, was sickeningly overpowering and needed a contrast. Sadly it just wasn’t for us. The maitre d did ask for feedback and did without asking reduce the bill, which was appreciated; however we would have preferred a fabulous dinner experience.

We have been there twice as my daughter keeps insisting we take her there for her birthday diner. The place is stunning and set up in a beautiful estate. The staff is well trained, very polite and make you feel really welcome, but unfortunately this does not make up for the fact the food unfortunately completely over-priced, fussy and just does not deliver in terms of flavours or execution. It tries hard to compete with the Shaun Rankin restaurant (in the same estate) but I am afraid this miles aways from even flirting with the Michelin Star league.

This is one of the several restaurants at Grantley Hall. The place has a good atmosphere with friendly staff. We opted for the tasting menu which gave a good balance of flavours. The scallops were excellent. The sauce on the duck appeared thin but packed a lot of flavour. The chocolate desert was a bit rich. Neither of us could finish it. Overall i'd recommend a visit.

Wow! The food was absolutely amazing! We have had many tasting menus but this one topped them all. I booked last minute, there was only the bar area free, we had a lovely booth was so intimate. All the staff more amazing! Jack looked after us, what a lovely young lad! He knew his wines and all about the food ! Great ambience, modern design, delicious food - this place has it all! Scallops, dumplings and pork belly for starter were beyond expectations. Beef for main was made to perfection. We will be back!

Food, atmosphere, service. Excellent. Whilst you’d expect nothing less from a Grantley Hall restaurant, it’s easy for it to rely on exactly that fact. Everything was perfect though, and well worth a visit. Would highly recommend the Tandoori Lobster starter. A great way to celebrate my 30th. I hope to visit again soon.

This was the most amazing dining experience I have ever had. Everything from the staff when you first walked in to the meal itself was beyond exceptional. We’ve been here before but had not previously tried the tasting menu and decided to give it a try. Wonderful meal and loved every course and we were pleasantly full at the end of it. Service was excellent and it should be when they charge you 12.5% for it. Lovely decor and setting. It’s not cheap and it was north of £600 for 4 of us, including pre dinner drinks, 2 bottles of a really nice Chablis and service charge. Would we do it again? absolutely.

Excellent, original food and superlative service. We went to celebrate an anniversary and received a card and a special dessert. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, food beautifully presented and delicious.

Stayed at GH for 4 days and this was probably the weakest restaurant offering - but still very enjoyable. The standout feature was definitely the cocktail selection - we spent some time at the bar after dinner trying all the funky smoking concoctions. Staff were amazing, food decent if a bit too salty. Music a touch too loud!

After a disappointing meal at Shaun Rankin the evening before this was really good. Food, service and ambience were excellent and we enjoyed a great night. Only negative is it is very punchy on price but nonetheless a really fantastic meal with some great flavours across all the dishes we had and dessert was amazing.

Went midweek, it was surprisingly quiet. Nevertheless because of the layout, lighting, and luxury decor both the bar and dining room have atmosphere. We had Korean belly pork , and Chicken starters both excellent and inserted a mid course Bau Bun ( if you have not tried one you should) which was very enjoyable. Highlight however were the main courses of spiced duck breast perfectly cooked with duck spring role. The other half had pork fillet which she hugely enjoyed. A special mention to the side KFC (Korean Fried Colliflower) which was extremely crisp and tasty- better than previously for some reason. Service was seamless and very professional throughout. Our server Maddy? was informative and charming. A lovely evening. A little expensive perhaps but very good.

Wow! What a meal. We each had the tasting menu and were blown away by it. Having a gluten and dairy allergy didn't stop the team from being incredibly accommodating and altering the dishes so that I could eat them. The biggest praise of the night goes to Wiktoria who assisted us through the night to get the most out of our tasting menu and was incredibly knowledgeable! We would come back here in a heartbeat for the divine food, excellent non-alcoholic drink options and top notch service.

A high end restaurant that won't book return transport for you so you have to leave your 8 course meal, walk outside because there is no phone reception in the restaurant, call a cab, discover they need a credit card to secure a pick up from an unreliable venue, go back to your table, grab your wallet to read out a credit card and return to your fellow guests waiting on you to return from what would have ordinarily been a request for a simple taxi booking.

We visited for dinner for a special occasion and had a fabulous time The setting is wonderful. Contemporary, relaxed and sophisticated and you know you are in for a treat as soon as you walk through the door We were seated in a cosy booth for some pre dinner drinks and my husband had the ‘best margarita he has ever had’ and I enjoyed a lovely fresh and zingy mocktail. Great start to the evening Taken down for dinner the decor and atmosphere continues with style and sophistication into the dinning room. Initially a little disappointed not to be seated in another booth but our little table for two turned out to be just perfect We both chose the tasting menu, but with one vegan and the evening of tastes and textures began. Starting with a lovely chicken tea and vegetable broth both of which really packed a punch and beautifully presented with a beautifully decorated rice cracker. Without going through every course for you I will summarise to say we thoroughly enjoyed everything and was exciting to see each new dish arriving. As with everyone’s tastes being slightly different you may suggest little tweaks but for the menu variety and value for money there really is nothing to complain about The service was swift and attentive paying attention to wine being poured as needed and water provided throughout without needing to ask for anything. Our waitress was superb and kept us well informed on all the dishes and was genuinely interested in our comments The only slight draw back was a bit of a kitchen hick up towards the end which meant we waited a while for our final dessert and did have to leave before it arrived so didn’t get to experience the full menu. Real shame as everything was so perfect but maybe just a good reason to return Well done to all the team and sorry it’s not 5 stars but know it will be next time

The food is ok. That’s the most charitable description I can bring myself to write. Nice duck, nice chocolate desert, nice staff. Bit loud and the halibut was shamefully overcooked. Generally the dishes were a bit lacking in sophistication and flavour. The staff were very nice but it’s not enough to salvage this one. Really heavily overpriced for what they deliver. I’d give them a ‘well tried’

Poor quality food that in no way feels like something that should ever be associated with the Michelin guide, an atmosphere that feels like you’re at a cheap bar rather than a restaurant, and prices that are 4 times what they should be given the lacklustre menu put together for the taster. 2 stars because the cocktails were tasty, but that’s being generous given how unpleasant the food was. Avoid like the plague!

Travelled a long way to get here on a very wet and windy evening. First off, couldnt find it!! Better signs please but guess the weather didn't help. Decor is beautiful and wouldnt be out of place in a top London hotel / bar / restaurant. Food was served very well and excllent although quite overpriced for what we had. Poor selection of wine by the glass (partner was not driving) and atmoshpere was rather cold. Great cocktial bar area upstairs and looks like this is the place to be if you want to be seen. A bit disappointing overall for quality, service and the wow factor, particularly as this was an hour journey each way for us. I might go back if I was in the area but wouldnt make the special journey again. Good for variety if you are staying at Grantley Hall.
