Bar Blanc in Newcastle upon Tyne

Had an incident where some clothing was damaged due to some metal sticking out of a bench. Raised with manager multiple times but they just weren’t interested

A decent bar in Jesmond which has good prices for student discount with ID. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Fairly good service although it can be long waiting times at the bar depending on the time of day. The pub itself doesn't have the best atmosphere, the lighting isn't great and the heating isn't always on. The sinks and mirrors in the toilets need more attention from the cleaner. However, overall this is a decent bar for a few drinks and food on Osborne highstreet.

I recommend this bar because unlike many other bars the staff are extremely kind and even made us the best Oreo milkshake.

This bar/company are herrendous people to work for. They ring you constantly when your not at work, they had me doing cellar management lifting 30+ Kegs down a flight of stairs each week with no help. Don’t pay properly. The kitchen is absolutely disgusting they use lbe knife to cut everything witch is a breach of food hygiene and hasn’t been properly cleaned or organised since I’ve been there avoid this place like the plague

Slightly overpriced at £5 a pint. Convenient location for students looking for a watering hole with pals in the heart of Jesmond. Overall satisfactory experience.

Great atmosphere and good student prices. That’s about all that’s good here, queues are ridiculous on the busy nights and I’ve never seen such a flat pint

Amazing! Food and drink deals for all guests who book at the hotel and show their key cards as well as £2 Tuesdays on sides and drinks.

friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere with great section or beers and drinks deals. Lots of big screens in the bars making it an ideal location to watch any live football, rugby or cricket matches.

used to work for them, great bar for drinks and food as they have quite a lot to offer, however the managers are only bothered about making money, don’t care about the employees at all, rang me up to say someone said i had just left the bar when that wasn’t the case and i was told to sort it out and get back to them, so i left them, screw you amica, chris and especially adam, you sent me home crying most days because of how horrible you all treat me, biggest mistake working for you

What a great pub! I came here with my friends and I was met with friendly staff and affordable prices. I now come every week without a fail. The food is good too! I recommend the pulled pork burger. I couldn’t think of any faults if I tried!

Managers unhelpful, bald man cannot do his job came over here with no apology for messing up the food. Staff untrained and gives vegan cheese and meat. No refund, no apology. Just because we’re students doesn’t mean you can treat us badly

Great hotel and bar all in one just on the out skirts of newcastle. The students offer a friendly and alternative atmosphere I enjoyed. The carvery was fantastic the bar staff was well presented. The office personal who booked us in and served us offered a fantastic service with a friendly smile that felt warm and welcoming xx.

We go here when working in Newcastle. Great bar, friendly staff and the gammon steak is something else! Highly recommend

One of the bouncers at the door was extremely rude and aggressive. He shouted at me in the queue because I clicked the wrong link when trying to activate my track and trace. I repeatedly apologised but he continued to shout at me whilst I tried to get it working. Awful door staff, and as I result myself and my friends will not be going back

Came for the euros quarter finals. Bouncers ruined and brutally murdered the atmosphere. 5 quid pints came in plastic cups. £180 pound for some tonic water. I love England I hate bar blanc

They told us the kitchen close at 21:00,but it was closed twice before 20:45. The drinks were alright.

Bouncers were bad attitude and stupid beard. Osbornes is way nicer. Don’t go there because they are not nice to you.

I got a delivery of a Oreo milkshake and when I tasted it, I thought it was the most great Oreo milkshake I’ve ever had. You should go to Bar Blanc online and order it

I visited with my housemates. When asked to track and trace we all filled in the form and showed out ID when asked. The bouncers let in 5 of the girls in our house but refused entry to 1 for no reason. He didn’t let any of us talk to her and instead shouted at us all and embarrased us, we are all very upset

Very much of extremes of everything, can be cheap and quiet upto overpriced and packed to within an inch of bursting (pre-covid of course). Food uninspiring but edible. Perfectly good for a pint and catch up providing there's no sports etc

Hi everyone big big warning to uz out there who want a takeaway if ye find yourself ordering a nice fresh sandwich be prepared for frozen buns that have been toasted to defrost bun are hard and food isn't good. Phoned the shop got a mouth full of abuse off the manager so I wouldn't go there.

Despite living nearby, we have never been in. However, ordering Bar Blanc's delivery has brought us great joy throughout all these lockdown weeks. We've tried a lot of the menu, but it's the nachos and enchiladas that I particularly crave— and no order we put in is without the chicken strips and extra guacamole. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, the food arrives quickly and warm, and it's always very uplifting. Thank you, Bar Blanc. Hope to go in soon.

Awful!! I ordered Boozy oreo and Cookies and cream milkshakes via Deliveroo. Both tasted like milk without any toppings or ingredients listed in the meniu. Not ordering again, disappointed.

Bought my two daughters to this pub and was an extremely awesome and friendly experience the staff were impeccable and the service was splendid the manager (Amica) is a stunning lady and will do anything she can to brighten your day!!! 😋

Blanc is genuinely the best pub in newcastle to bring your kids. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always polite and welcoming. This place is now my regular, and that won’t be changing for a while.

Lured in on a Sunday afternoon by the sign outside advertising selected pints for £2 - bargain! Rugby showing on many of the screens so it was busy. Seems popular with students. Good, lovely atmosphere. Didn’t have food but it looked delicious. Couldn’t give 5 stars as the toilets weren’t too clean and the hand drier wasn’t working (no paper towels available either)

Stayed at hotel upstairs bar prices great 2 large gin tonic fiver had food one night for me and wife 2mains and bottle rose wine all for £20 quid were can you go for that the food was fine service was gud what more do you want will deff go again when up in Newcastle

Called in on Friday with friends, wasn’t too busy, swift service at the bar & the cocktails were spot on, we sat outside as it was a lovely evening and got talking to some young students who lived opposite, we had a wide & varied conversation, was such a lovely end to the evening, they were a great group & their parents should be proud.

Wife and I stayed at Whites again for 2 nights.When went in to the bar late afternoon the gentleman serving introduced himself as the new manager David. After ordering food and drinks we really enjoyed the food and drinks the atmosphere was great and he made us really welcome.

The food was great, the prices were, too. The atmosphere was spot on, the toilets were clean and the staff were lovely. Everything you need to enjoy a night out!

Awful management, bought two double gin and tonics paying full price, received two soda waters. We went to bar, upon which bar members confirmed the lack of gin, to which the manager tasted the drinks and replied “I think you should be careful with the amount your drinking to throw allegations like that”.

Great lively atmosphere and quirky decor, decent food & and reasonable prices.. We did get a discount has we were staying in the ajoining Whites Hotel.. However the tables we very sticky and most of the seating was dirty with weeks worth of spilt food and drinks. Maybe employing a cleaner would slove this issue or sacking the current one. Having said that we'd visit again

Really dissapointed by the service from the staff, specifically the manager. They didnt give us a discount we had already paid for; they provide fake news and false advertisement. Do not attend, especially when the manager is on the bar, disgraceful would not listen to reason, which is a real shame. Maybe they can reflect on their poor performance and sticky surfaces. Maybe the employment of a cleaner would be of benefit to the establishment, but by the way the barstaff and manager looks, it reflects their shoddy service.

From walking into leaving the staff looked after our every need. Our room was in a lovely position and was extremely spacious. Breakfast was perfect and the location could not have been any better for exploring Newcastle.

Reasonable prices, shame about all the rahs that live in Jesmond.

The smell of bleach when you enter this bar is overwhelming and rather unpleasant, but it leads you to believe the place is clean. However the table we sat at was the stickiest I’ve ever experienced. We literally had to peel the menu off it and use two hands to lift our glasses. Ugh! I recommend you go elsewhere until the cleaning team discover neat Flash!

Nice cosy bar, had a great time in Newcatle

Have been going to chill in this pub since August in which the daytime prices were £1.80 a pint of. Carling then went up to £2 a Carling pint. Now when I go in they charge £3 a pint before 5 even though they are banners and chalkboards saying £1.80 prices and when I dispute their price they sort of agree there may be a mistake.

We met for drinks pre meal at the wonderful Antico restaurant - big mistake. Scruffy place - poor service - drowned vodka and luke warm white wine plus very noisy students - go if you are under 25

Good bar on the Osborne road. It is less noisy than some of the other bars on the same road cocktails are great, food is good amd is enjoable experience

A perfect way to relax and watch the world go by. When it’s hot you can take advantage of its out door seating and day time prices. Good atmosphere. On a night with partner it had a lot of students but was friendly and relaxing. Nice staff too. Will be back

This pub is great, never too busy - bar bank holidays. Reasonably priced also!

As a student I thoroughly enjoy Bar Blanc! Prices are incredibly reasonable and there is plenty of room for when you want to bring big groups of friends in! Staff are very friendly and food is also great (NACHOS)

I went for lunch with someone I support. They had cheese burger and chips while I had bacon/cheese jacket potato with salad. The food was a good price for the area and didn't take long to come out especially as the chef had arrived not long before us. The man who served us was very nice and let us know there may be a longer wait than usual as they had just opened. My jacket potato was lovely and a very large salad. The only issue was that there was a salad sauce all over it. If I had known I would have asked to not have it so I ate hardly any of the fresh, lovely looking salad but I know for the future. The person I support really enjoyed their burger which looked lush. They did say that the chips were cold, they were hot when they came out but cooled quickly. May have just been down to sitting near the door. I don't know but they were nice other than that. I will go back and I will recommend. Would like to go back with friends to try the drinks there.

stayed one night with a friend to have a night out the room was very clean and comfortable they even offered room service which was nice and money off drinks or food when staying. we had a lovely breakfast the next morning. a great plus was the private car park round the back

Two pints and two burgers for £13 sounds like a good idea. But you're better off paying more for better quality. The food was dumped. No cutlery, no napkins, no salt or pepper, no sauce and no vinegar. Nor did the served ask us if we wanted any. Tell chips were bland as a result and the burger so so. Without cutlery or napkins we had to wipe out hands on the suede leather seats we were sitting on.

Came to Bar Blanc in Osborne Road jesmond. Floors and Tables sticky. See ya not very clean. Toilets need an upkeep also. Could not bring ourselves to eat here. Cobwebs around chandelier. Denise Cox

Good for large groups very spacious. Couldn't believe how early this place closed though if you weren't staying in the hotel part.

Good fun and cheap drinks at the right time

Spent a couple of hours at this bar on Saturday afternoon in the sunshine.Sat on the terrace liked the idea of ringing the bell for discounted drinks.

Over a couple of meals we had a cheese burger, chicken burger, fish and chips and a Baked potato couldn't fault them
