Baobob cafe in Charnwood

Did not honour gift vouchers bought at Christmas, even though no expiry and chance happened in May very soon after. Poor customer service. Will go elsewhere with our party of 7.

Omg the breakfast was disgusting . The bacon is like bits of burned curled up paper . sausages cold and tasteless . Beans like bullets. £8.50 for that . Ugh. Give this a wide berth .

Pleasant staff, just disappointed that they could not make poached eggs, I find this a little odd, the fact that they didn't have skimmed milk or mustard.

Met a friend for brunch. Sunny weather so sat outside and watched the world go by, it's a perfect sun trap. Had their special scrabbled eggs, three eggs with smoked salmon mixed in on brown bread. Absolutely delicious. Followed by a slice of Oreo cream cake which was equally lovely. Relatively recently changed hands and great to see such hand standards being met. Will definitely be returning. Was impressed so much that to people stopping to look at the menu board I was extolling the virtues and garnering some extra trade for them !

Several small things which when added up made the visit disappointing. The layout is a tad problematic as the queue is in front of the space where the staff enter/exit so as a consequence there is to and fro as customers step back to allow them space, at the till Pint I made my order - black americano with brown toast. The server looked like had had acknowledged that but then asked me again what I would like….. I repeated my order, he then asked if I’d like milk, I replied with not with a black americano. Then I was asked what bread, so for a second time asked for brown. ‘Would you like jam with that?’ Came the question, when on the menu it distinctly says with jam. I then sit outside, toast arrives first, with coffee on way. Out comes the coffee and he places it on the table,, one hand holding the saucer whilst his other is holding the rim of the cup. He goes away and it’s at this point (and I accept responsibility for this as I should have noticed earlier) I notice no butter, have to leave my table to go back inside to ask for butter, which he duly gives me (after a 30 second wait) … straight out of the fridge and solid….. not the best to spread on my now cold toast. Not the greatest experience and one which could have been so much better. It wonukd t stop me using the cafe and I hope they take the feedback as intended and improve the service.

Baobob is my favorite cafe in Loughborough! Variety of options for food, best lattes in town, and super kind staff! No matter what I try on the menu, I never leave disappointed!

Just wanted to leave a positive review because we loved this place! My partner, son and myself stopped by for lunch yesterday. Myself and my partner are vegan and both ordered breakfasts which were incredible! Our son had a ham, cheese and chicken baguette which he loved. Milkshakes all round as well because of the amazing vegan selection. Love this place so much, will definitely return! Also, as a side note, your staff are lovely ❤️

The breakfast- that fluffy omelette- made my day! Had scones n clottted cream the next day- my word it was so fresh. & , above All, the owners- MIRA was genuinely warm & goes the extra yard to make guests comfortable. Went today for a family lunch there was seven of us two ordered beans on toast the bread looked like it had never seen a toaster the second beans on bread arrived 50 minutes after the first. I ordered a cheese toastie it looked like it had just been microwaved so sent it back but when it came back only one side had been toasted. Ordered a club sandwich was ok but had a long black hair in it .cost a fortune for a disgusting service and standard of food. One star is too many

One of my favorite places in the town center to stop and grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The food is excellent, providing a wide selection of options, from a lovely sandwich to something hot. The coffee is out of this world and beats the likes of Costa or Starbucks, hands down, which are just a rip-off due to their names (always support local businesses ❤️). The staff are so friendly, and the new management team have hit the ground running in taking over this local gem seamlessly, without sacrificing the quality, service, or efficiency of this busy hot spot. Keep up the amazing work and service Baobab team! 👏🏼

I had the heavy salad, turning my back on delicious looking sandwiches, and it was wonderful. Fresh imaginative and beautifully presented. Staff were lovely and friendly and liked my dog. Def a must-return. Good value too.

Our favourite cafe in Loughborough. Staff are so friendly, food is great and has a great atmosphere. Good value for money, take BlueLightCard and dogs are welcome - Dogs seem to get there own special welcome.

I visited last week for lunch with my step daughter and our dog. The cafe was pretty full but despite this there wasn’t a queue to order and service was good. We had great lattes, a super hearty bowl with tuna, and a Mexican wrap for lunch which were fresh and very tasty. We finished off with delicious chocolate brownies which are baked in-house. The staff in Baobab are friendly and efficient, and all seem to love dogs - our dog had plenty of fuss and a treat! This cafe ticks every box - well run, lots of great food and drink choices and a lovely vibe.

Came in for lunch but it was too loud and busy at 12.30pm, so went to another quieter cafe nearby and popped back here a few hours later as we wanted to try. Ordered teas and cake, impressed by the vegan selection and the staff were lovely. The tea was fine but the cakes (both of them) were so dry. I had the coffee cake and it felt dry tasted stale. Can’t remember ever leaving cake, but I only had a couple of forkfuls. I hate waste, but stale cake is just a big no from me I’m afraid.

Absolutely amazing place. So much choice of gluten free and vegan meals. Anything on the menu can be made g/f. The cakes are incredible and mostly g/f, coffee and teas and special healthy drinks are all available but most of all the staff are happy, attentive and more than happy to help. We always come back when in Loughborough. We'll done guys.

Apart from excellent service and products, as a coeliac, I feel that The Baobab is where I feel truly SAFE when outside home. They also have one of the uk ‘s best range of delicious GF cake!

Baobab is a great place to visit. I met a friend who wanted to bring her dog. They are so welcoming to dogs and the food was wonderful. We felt so relaxed and the team were incredibly friendly and helpful. We are definitely going to visit again soon. Can’t fault anything about the place. Just brilliant 🤩.

We had a delicious and reasonably priced lunch here. Lots of choice, including loads of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great to be able to find gluten-free food that isn't meat-based. This was a real find. We wanted to eat in Loughborough after going to NT Stoneywell and this place had good reviews. It absolutely lived up to them. The food was really good, fresh, tasty and nicely cooked. There were five of us and 5 lunches, 8 drinks and 3 desserts cost under £60 which was excellent. The staff were on the ball and friendly. The only downside is it’s not massive so was not so easy to get a table for 5, but got one after about ten mins. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.
