Great food, messy service. They always forget something in my order and just now took 30min to get my Pho :( even though there were 6 people working there, and 5 customers. Used to be a regular but fed up, will look elsewhere :/

Dont waste your lunch break! 45 minutes between ordering and recieving my food without an apology for my wait despite being told my order was next, another 15 minutes and 4 orders I finally got my food.

I ate in. Food was good, but the place was just about ok. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit disappointing since they put too much ice and not enough condensed milk and coffee. It felt expensive for the service that was provided.

I only tried their chicken dumplings, and I enjoyed it. The only thing it is a tiny place and you most likely leave smells of food. Other than that, I highly recommend it 👍☺️

Pork banh mi was so good, best sandwich I have had in a long time.

I used to think quite highly of this place because of how tasty their food was. But unfortunately todays visit has put me off going again. I went in and ordered to beef mis to take out. I watched the person prepare my food wearing the same gloves that she had handled money with a few seconds before. This is disgusting & unhygienic. I didn't make a scene in the store as she may have been new and didn't want to embarrass her, but its the managers fault for not supervising properly. Please make some improvements to your hygiene standards and i may consider coming again.

Absolutely love the taste of the sandwiches but have you reduced the portion size or something? Because I cannot justify spending £9.50 to receive just half of a cut sandwich and that’s not even including +delivery fees. If so , the images you have on delivery apps are misleading as they show a full sandwich :( for this reason I will not be ordering again unfortunately.

What an amazing discovery! I visited Ban Me Ca Phe last week, having no idea it was on my doorstep. I can highly recommend the crispy pork/rice bowl, my partner had the pho which I also sampled! Wow 🤩 This will now be my weekly treat!

My review is based only on the one item I tried; the Beef Pho. The Beef Pho was not good. It was very average. The portion size and price point were good, but the flavour was seriously lacking, if not absent. The broth was bland; maybe the blandest I've ever had our of probably 50+ in both Vietnam and the UK. Which was incredibly disappointing as it looked great and the ingredients were clearly fresh. I had to ask for for some fish sauce and soy sauce (which were not on the table as condiments for customers to use themselves which itself is quite odd), and then add a tonne of sriracha sauce and mix the three into the broth to give it some flavour. Sadly I wouldn't recommend the Pho here. This place seems to be Banh Mi focussed, so maybe the Pho is an afterthought and not the speciality. I will return though to try their delicious-looking Banh Mi which have great reviews on here, and will update the review accordingly.

Lovely little restaurant with fantastic food. Plenty of options on the menu, including vegan. The had the rice bowl and it was one of the nicest meals I've had, really flavourful and spicy, and a good size portion. The prices are very reasonable too. Will defo return. 👍

I’ve been many times to Ban mi ca phe Vietnamese! What a little gem! The crispy pork is one of my favourites, the taste is as I remember it from my visit to Vietnam! The pho is also my top dishes of choice! I highly recommend a try!

This cafe is a joke . It hasnt paid multiple employees and its so shameful . If you cant pay why are you operating it ??

We had the pork Bánh Mì, chicken crispy dumpling and egg coffee (hot). Very quick service and totally delicious. It all tasted as good as I remember from our trip to Hanoi and the baguette texture was perfect. We will be visiting again even though it's over an hour away from home. I recommend trying the egg coffee, it's luxurious

Really nice little place with a nice atmosphere, informal but comfortable. My wife had the spring rolls which were very tightly packed and a little under-seasoned but, overall, perfectly OK. I had the Chicken Mi which had plenty of flavour but, sadly, the chicken was very dry which was a shame. The homemade lemonade and the ginger spritzer we had were both refreshing although could do with a little less sweetening. All in all, a good experience and with a couple of tweaks they could elevate the whole thing dramatically.

The banh mi are really good consistently but the rice bowels are variable ranging from ok to excellent. It's a shame because it's relatively expensive. The staff are also a bit variable unfortunately. Sitting is nice if a bit small.

We love coming here and usually always get the same order, the Tofu Noodle Bowl which is delicious. Though a note for the owner that quality control is needed as we never know what to expect ingredient wise. The veggies often change and today the tofu was cut weird. I also came with a friend to show them around and we received our orders completely covered in hot sriracha sauce which we had to try and remove with some napkins because it was inedible otherwise. Think this was a new employee though so no big deal! I'll still come reguraly, but hopefully you'll take this in account :)

Unbelievably bad hygiene. Cross-contamination everywhere! One person had revolting greasy gloves on and was just putting their hands in salads, meats, everything! Another person took payments and then just carried on making food without washing hands or changing gloves. I'd definitely be very worried if I had allergies or couldn't eat meat. Then again I'll not be going back! I didn't even eat what I bought as I was so disgusted.

This place is so strange. The food is great which is why I keep going back there. But the service is so chaotic and that’s now become part of the experience: ‘what will go wrong this time?’. They have never got my order correct: included cucumber when I’ve asked for it without (and the guy has highlighted that on the order slip), served as eat-in when asked for takeaway, served as takeaway when asked for eat-in, mixed customers names up on the orders (‘excuse me, I think that’s actually mine’). And you have to wait a LONG time even when the kitchen is full of staff. I recently saw a guy get a refund and walk out cause his food order never arrived. You could forgive this when they just opened, but it’s been like 2 years now and they should have really sorted it out. I’ll probably still go there though for my pork banh mi fix.

We’ve had food from here a few times and I have been very happy, however the other day we ordered a take away at approximately 5pm. The restaurant closes about 7pm. The food I ordered was the usual but this time it lacked everything I normally enjoyed. The rice was dried out, the chicken had no flavouring and the spring onions and chillies were very sparse. The spring rolls were very oily and not how they had tasty previously. It was a complete disappointment. We called them to discuss the issue but the member of staff wasn’t very helpful and kept on repeating that it was all cooked the same each time and therefore she didn’t understand my concerns. We were not offered a refund and obviously we were very disappointed and will not be going back.

My original review was very positive, but unfortunately the quality of service has become disappointing. The flavour was great, but recently I've been trying to get a sandwich and the staff doesn't even seem to know when they will open, and it has happened a few times now, and I see that other people have experienced the same. It's a shame, as the food was very good.

The food is absolutely delicious and healthy. The pork and chicken noodle bowls are definitely a must try. The bahm mi are quite filling for the price and fresh. The staff is friendly and will help you in whatever way they can.

The best beef noodle soup in the world they claim....sorry, not having that Can only judge on what I ordered and at £11.45 it was hugely disappointing.

I have to change my previous positive review due to the excruciatingly slow service I've now received a few times. The staff seem to spend more time chatting than serving, a sandwich took 15 mins for 3 staff with nobody else there. One of the staff was picking up food from the display, eating with his gloved hands then licking his gloves clean. (!?) It's a great shame because the coffee is good.

I was so excited for this but sad to say it was a massive disappointment. Pretty much echo what other negative reviews say: - Mediocre Banh Mi but fills a void if you're massively craving one. I had the Classic, they skimped on the Pate and the chilli sauce (the two key ingredients in my opinion!) - Hugely overpriced. I wouldn't mind paying £9 if it actually tasted like a traditional Banh Mi. - Service terrible... 2.30 pm on a Friday and I'm the only customer, and exactly 5 team members behind the counter chatting. Still took them 15 minutes to make my mine. - They forgot to plug the card machine so it ran out of battery; the girl said I could pay when my order was ready and they'd reset the machine. So after my order arrives 15 minutes later, imagine my joy that they have forgot to plug it in again and so I spend another 5 mins watching them faff with the machine again. I almost left my order and walked out as I would have been able to get home and make my own lunch quicker.

So I often pop in here at the end of the day, The wait can be a bit long even when quiet but the food is usually lovely. Therefore gone back loads. However today waited ages and ordered one drink which they couldn't serve. Got money back not a problem. However, behind the counter was carrot etc on the floor and a man bought a bag of meat in and put it on the floor. Lots of staff but just didn't seem right. So not sure I'll go back now but to be fair as I said food has been lively the 10 or more times I've been there.

The pork Bahn mis are good although on the pricey side. Noodle bowl is also nice. The thing that needs most improvement is the service. It can take too long for them to bring your order out. Sometimes it seems they even forget that you’ve ordered and you have to check back with them.

11/10 Vietnamese comfort food! Staff so friendly and nice and food so delicious! Would highly recommend anything with the crispy pork on it and the homemade lemonade is to die for!

Really nice place for banh mi, I also ordered some spring rolls and they were very nice. They offer different fillings for the sandwiches and also have other offerings like pho. Would recommend this place if you like Vietnamese food.

The name of the place is Banh Mi Ca Phe. Ca Phe? Oh, yeah - cafe! Got it now? This place and the "Vietnamese street food" it serves up is as phoney as its name. Avoid at all costs and seek out genuine Vietnamese restaurants, where, unlike this place, the food is the real deal and the service is great. Leamington has a lot of eateries like this, ripping off people who think they are smart and sophisticated but who are actually stupid and are ripe for the plucking.

Best lunch spot in Leam! I’ve visited Banh Mi Ça Phe several times over the last 12 months, and it never fails to disappoint. I’ve tried most of the menu, and it’s all fantastic, but the pork banh mi is incredible… you have to try it! I’m really disappointed to see some poor reviews on here, most of them seem to be service based. I’ve personally only ever had good service here. We all know it’s a tough market to recruit in at the moment, give the guys a chance. They’re a small business, doing their best! I’d urge you to support local and visit Banh Mi! Ps. Delicious Vietnamese food. The Pork belly is amazing, and definitely get some sides (the lotus root and the prawn egg rolls are amazing). Service is fairly quick even when busy. Plenty of space to eat in, or takeaway. Homemade lemonade is incredible. Price point wise is a little on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality!

visited leamington spa for my uncles birthday and came across banh mi caphe, i was very excited to try Vietnamese food for the first time but was disgusted by the service. staff was chatting whilst i tried multiple times to place an order. seemed very disorganised and i was overall very upset so decided to leave. very unfortunate.

Slow is the only word for here. If there’s a queue outside, make this assumption. Had take away sandwiches once and although tasty (not hugely generous) was not worth the wait in hindsight. So decided to sit in to try their Pho and well my title says it all. Won’t return for the fact this place just hasn’t managed staff/timings …still. Sad really as it could be so much better.

Went in this evening at 5pm to order a traditional Vietnamese ube coconut cream coffee. Only to have all 4 staff members say they don’t know how to make it only the owner does and they are out...if I went into Nando’s and ordered chicken I wouldn’t expect someone to say they don’t know how to cook some chicken..disappointing

Food is servicable if you have a craving for Vietnamese but not great. Service is exceptionally slow. Watched a guy spend 5 minutes making a Pho. The staff spend more time chatting than focusing on work.

I’ve visited this shop 7-8 times. I like their sandwiches and noodles bowls. The taste was always there and I was never disappointed. I think they are a tad expensive… (like 10-15%) The only disappointing thing is the waiting time! The first time I waited for 50’(!!!!) for 2 sandwiches! Eventually they got better but they’re still a bit slow sometimes… Other than that, everything is very tasty and I recommend it.

I am really struggling with this review as I rarely would give a 1 /5 but there was nothing good about my experience so it has to be a 1. Came here for lunch. A Pork Belly sandwich to go (Lettuce, Chilli Mayo and pickled vegetables). The staff were nice and they took the order £8.50 for the sandwich. Time to wait. Here's one issue. I not sure if they were understaffed or just the system but they were extremely slow. 35 Minutes for my sandwich. I am still confused they would get all the food per person then move to the next. That is fine but when they have order starters you would think they move to the next order. But they would get all the food per party. A bit strange service. So after finally receiving my order I left and headed to next stop. After open the bag my joy changed to annoyance it was half the sandwich (Not a full baguette). £8.50 for half a sandwich. But how was the taste. What Taste. All these ingredients and it tasted bland. No chilli mayo or pickled taste. But the biggest insult was the pork belly. I have had crispy Pork Belly before and it was amazing. However this was not crispy it was burnt. It wasn't crispy it was crunchy. The pork was very hard. The whole sandwich was just unpleasant to eat. Overall very disappointed. After checking reviews I thought maybe I came in on a bad day but this meal was dreadful. £8.50 half a bland burnt pork sandwich. As always will try again (always give second chance) but am not looking forward to it.

Amazing! I wish this place was open later in the evening. The Banh Mi is consistently great and I always enjoy their food. Also a highlight is definitely the Vietnamese coffee - a must try.

I had to wait for 37 minutes just for Vietnamese iced coffee and spring rolls. Ridiculously long for such a small order. I complained that I’ve been waiting for exactly 20min already and that’s the only time they actually started preparing my order. Even the people who ordered after me got their orders sooner. On the other hand, the coffee tastes ok, but it had mostly ice than coffee. Spring rolls are average. One staff was kind enough to offer me a loyalty card, but I will never come back here.

Great little Vietnamese cafe. We normally go to a great one in Coventry, so this place had to live up to expectations whilst we compared the two. Staff were very friendly and baguettes were fresh, crisp and lovely. They would be top notch amazing if some more pickles and fragrant herbs could be added. Price is slightly on the steep side but I’m still giving it 5 stars though as they allowed us to sit in with the dogs which is always a win for us.

Have been here a few times and have had lovely food. My last experience 18/09/22 12pm was not great! Ordered three baguettes, 2 chicken and 1 vegan for myself and friends to take away. After waiting for 20 minutes when there was no one in line before me, they arrived on a platter to eat in, that's fine! Mistakes happen; the guys then took another 7 minutes to wrap up my food and put it in a bag. Unfortunately all the food was put in together including the vegan one, and there was no way of knowing which baguette was which as they had all been sliced in half aswell. Most of the filling had fallen to the bottom of the bag too... I have minimal knowledge of food hygiene or handling in a proffesional environment but surely mixing a vegan meal with a meat meal that have not been properly packaged to take away shouldn't happen:/

I had a grilled beef sandwich (Banh Mi). Mind you I have eaten this before in Ho Chi Minh city. It tasted ok, disappointed actually, need a bit more pickled veggies ex. daikon & carrots, no spicy chilles, fresh herbs, not enough beef. Fresh and crunchy cumcumber?! Baguette should be crispy!! Missing mayo spread inside the bun. I had a drip Vietnamese coffee was fine, at least they try. It get busy around midday to 1 p.m get there early, limited seating.

Staff said it is as it is... First try this asian cuisine at food and drink festival. It cost you £10.5 with rice and curry sauce only. Next time you may find chicken curry without curry or beef bun without bun. Funny restaurant.

So good! I had the egg mi which was beautiful, and my friends had pork mi and shrimp mi, with dumpling sides - all really enjoyed! The staff were absolutely lovely and happy to have a chat. I even ended up buying one of their t-shirts!

The best thing about this Resturant is that everything on the short menu is expertly and freshly prepared in front of you. We had an enormous bowl if beef broth and brisket with fresh veg and trimmings for 10.95. Excellent value for rarely found UK...

What a true Banh Mi experience! We genuinely stumbled across this place visiting the area. There was a huge queue outside but that didn't put us off. Obviously we were curious to why such a small shop was so busy for lunch. We ordered a lemongrass chicken, they also sold fresh dumplings and spring rolls but we didn't take up the offer. We returned a short while later as the food is made to order. The food is sensational! and genuinely the best sandwich I have had in a very long time. Each flavour comes through the sandwich, plus cucumber on the bottom is a palet cleanser I didn't know I wanted until I had this... I'm absolutely gutted I don't live in leamington as I will be craving more of these for a while.

Came here for some Vietnamese iced coffee and the place was virtually empty. No queues whatsoever. Stood at the cash desk, debit card in hand, waiting to order and pay. We got ignored by all five members of staff working right behind the cash desk. They even made eye contact with us and proceeded to ignore us for several minutes. I've worked customer service for a long long time and I was staggered! Service was absolutely awful. We didn't even order in the end, we left instead. Sadly won't be coming back.
