Me and my boyfriend Mr. Hood came here for our 1st anniversary and we had an incredible time. The food from starters to mains was cooked to perfection. Julia was an absolute star, decorated our table for us and made us feel very special on our very special night. Thank you so much!

Had a lovely evening here and was well looked after by the lovely waiting staff. Delicious food & cocktails. We had the Chateaubriand which was a fab & decent sized piece of meat, well seasoned with asparagus, long-stem broccoli, and garlic mushrooms. This came with two portions of fries or thick cut chips. We did ask for the meat to be given a little more flash-fry heat after it was served on the rather rare side of med-rare. This was done efficiently and without fuss or interruption to the meal. The negroni cocktails were 2 for 1, and we had one of each type (classic Campari, and Aperol). Nice touch that there’s a bottle of still (tap?) water on every table - after all not everyone likes fizzy drinks, or alcohol. Some establishments try to upsell/steer you toward more expensive water. My wife loved the Eton mess pudding. My affogado was simple but unremarkable. We had a voucher for 30% off, and spent £80 Overall - smashing meal on a date night & would love to visit again.

I was a bit disappointed as my expectations we're quite high to due to friends telling what a good buffet breakfast I can get from here and good price. Well wasn't the case for me. Not very well stocked when I went, at 9:30am. No bacon, no baked beans, only fried egg, not a good choice of fruits either. Regards service, that wasn't very great either...took a while to be seated and until my friend arrived the staff told us that if we haven't reserved might not have table for us ( although I could see a few available). Eventually been seated and that's it, no explanation where everything is or how it works.

From the moment the manager licked her fingers to pick up the menus from the bar for us, I had a bad feeling about the evening we had ahead of us. Starting with the only positive, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Otherwise, the whole thing was awful. When food was served the beef burger was crumbly and very dry, and lukewarm at best. The £27 beef tacos were served almost cold with sides that were wrong to the menu. 2 other tables in our periphery also complained and sent food back. A real disappointment, one we definitely won't repeat.

Love this place and the staff are amazingly helpful, especially the manager. Top stuff

We had dinner on a Saturday, the place was 1/2 empty. I now see why, the service was good, the staff were all nice but the food is not up to scratch. The Chimichurri is just red chilli paste and copious amounts are used. I like spice but this ruins any other flavour. I ordered a fillet medium, it came rare so I asked for it to be done a bit longer. No problem, these things happen. When it returned I went to cut into the main part and it was all fat and sinew! I apologised and said it’s a really bad cut, the manger agreed and said yes I can see I’ll get another one. They gave us a free drink which was lovely and the new steak arrived 1/3 of which was fat and sinew! I don’t know who supplies the meat but you need to change! I’ve had better quality rump than the alleged fillet that was served last night. You are a steak house serving cheap inedible cuts of meat. We won’t be coming back.

Great food, good wait time for a Saturday evening. Lovely service from Charlotte, attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

All you can eat buffet breakfast. A great selection of continental and cooked breakfast. We visited this morning and were made to feel very welcome. The cooked breakfast items were hot, fresh and good quality. It’s excellent value at £10.99 as it includes unlimited juice and hot drinks. Would highly recommend breakfast here.

Nice enough venue but that's pretty much where the good news ended. The steak was chewy and not reflective of the price point and once you'd removed the fat there was only a few bites left. The burger was luke warm and the chips were definitely not as described. More like oven chips! All this was topped off with a 160 quid bill!!! Very disappointing. Will never return and I suggest you give it a miss too.

Just been for the all you can eat breakfast. Greeted by a lovely lady as we walked through the door. Showed us to our table, and explained how everything worked. Complete choice of cereals, continental breakfast or full english. Between us we had a bit of everything. Pastries were fresh and crispy. The full English is a buffet style, all the food was hot and tasted really good. Add in the couple of lattes, this was really good value. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely will be back.

The service was good but the burgers my son and I had were not worthy of the extortionate price of £35. You seriously need to up your skill sets as chefs as the burgers were dry and the portion size was a joke to😡

Went for lunch and I must say the food was great. The general manager Julia was amazing and so friendly I honestly cannot fault her. Will definitely be coming back for the atmosphere, friendly staff and good food.

Been twice now and not impressed with the food for the price. The service has been great both times and can’t fault them on that. But if you’re looking for a good steak it’s not here!

Came here as part of our Premier Inn stay, the evening meal was superb and the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was brilliant too! Recommend their Salt & Peppered Squid, Chicken Tacos and the Ice Cream & Cookie Dough

Amazing place, beautiful decor, attentive staff, delicious food. Spoiled only by the head chefs comment. My salad arrived, I chose to add on the sea bass. I checked and there was no avocado (my favourite) I queried this with our server, she checked the menu and agreed there should be avocado. She went to the kitchen and came back with a few small chunks of over ripe avocado, and said "head chef said this salad doesn't come with avocado, but has given you some anyway" Head chef clearly needs to read his own menu. There is only one house salad on the menu, myself and the server could clearly see it said avocado. Then it was like he gave me some as a favour!!

Great food options. For lunch had an 'a la carte' grill and used a 25% discount.

Amazing! Did not disappoint, from start to finish! The food was great. We had the Roast Beef (cooked to perfection) came with all the expected trimmings and the cauliflower cheese was a perfect addition. You couldn’t wish for a better dining experience. The Service is next level, so friendly and welcoming. They know what they are doing! Our favourite place to eat in Leamington for sure! A*

Visited for the first time today and had a wonderful experience. The hostess was so welcoming and friendly, explaining how the breakfast buffet works and answering all of our questions and did the same for every customer who came in after us. The breakfast buffet was so worth the price and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also calm and relaxing. I'm not a local but will definitely be paying Bar and Black steakhouse another visit when I return in the future. Thanks for making my experience a positive one :)

First of all the lady that looked after us was amazing. But she finished her shift shortly after our food arrived which was ashame as I’m sure she would have looked after us. I love a good steak, who doesn’t… sadly the taste was a huge let down. For me Ive most definitely tasted better elsewhere…the crispy beef starter though was incredible and I highly recommend! No steak Diane sauce they ran out….Poor ordering by the kitchen clearly. Apart from peppercorn it’s the most popular sauce to a compliment your steak, to have run out no acceptable. Why not order enough to cater for your customers. No excuse. We had a discount luckily and there were 3 of us and without the discount the bill would have been over £150 no way did I feel the cost reflected the food taste. £4.50 for 4 asparagus spears. Rather high, I thought u might of received more for that price. My husband felt the check back was rather quick didn’t give us anytime to try the food, so couldn’t comment otherwise we may have. Would I go back for steak No, but their breakfast at ‘bar and block’ is amazing.

The breakfast was nothing outstanding and the place was dirty and sticky! I am sure that with a good clean it can improve.

We only had a buffet breakfast here. The food was nice and lots of choice. Didn't see any servers. Atmosphere was nice.

2 of us came for dinner tonight. The young girl serving us was smiley, and extremely polite. Made sure we were both happy! Food was lovely, the chips are amazing. Steak could do with seasoning, but salt and pepper sorted this out. Blue light discount accepted here too which is great.

The ultimate sampler was a good idea and the meat was cooked exceptionally but the quality of the pieces of meat were average. The lamb rump Sunday lunch was very nice! Will try a full steak on its own next time.

Was travelling with work and in need of some quiet time. I had a great steak dinner and a lovely glass of Malbec all topped off with great service. Thanks to everyone for making it an enjoyable, relaxing meal with great food and service.

I regularly go here for breakfast. It is a cooked breakfast buffet, so perfect if you are short on time before heading into work. The food is cooked in small batches so is always freshly cooked and is very tasty. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. It has built a great reputation for dinner but it is a hidden gem for breakfast.

Eaten here a few times and have always found the waitresses and bartenders to be really lovely, friendly & attentive. Food quality is bang on, steaks always cooked to perfection, never had a bad meal yet! Good choice of cocktails too :)

Terrible food. Cold by the time food came. Ordered sauce with steak…..never came. Finished the steak. Then sauce finally came…. Ridiculously small portions. Not worth any of the prices. Service from the particular lady was very good. Steak was dry, flavourless and overpriced and cold.

Service was awful. Stood at the door and waited around 10 minutes before anyone came to us, and they weren’t very busy. We were looked at several times but then staff just walked away. Service very slow, not very friendly. Food turned up cold had watched it sit on the kitchen side for 15 minutes before if arrived at the table in which case was cold. No one checked on us to see how the food was until we had finished. Not service I have been used to from other branches

Service was good, but the food was overpriced for what you get. My friend and I ordered the same steak and got two very obviously different sizes. The chunky chips were close to an oven chip you can get at Iceland where it would be a fraction of the price. I feel like they were understaffed, it took 20 mins to get a small cup of peppercorn sauce. Would not recommend as it is now.

Came with a large group, most of the food was dry, tasteless and overpriced. The atmosphere was much the same

Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Not too busy which was great as we were having a family Birthday with elderly relatives. Really enjoyed the food thank you.

Went yesterday grill not working so only burgers- not staffs fault in any way but burger was pretty rubbish and came with only a small very crispy portion of fries. Dessert was good though! Went last week and had steak when the grill was working was a bit chewy and not really worth the price however again sides and drinks were good that time. Service was fine both times :) have stayed in the hotel next door and gone here for breakfast too which was really good very enjoyable !

Very good quality food and prices

I have no words as to how anyone can mess up a Sunday dinner ..root veg in honey glaze !! Nope .. roast potatoes in beef dripping! Nope but what we got was a baked potato cut into quarters with skin on .. the peas were rock hard .. parsnips no taste and dry.. rare beef was a cut of a steak .. raw cauliflower cheese but hey the sauce was hot lol ... On to the starters ! The scollops were Luke warm , the chicken wings had soggy skins and the brucetta had cherry tomatoes cut in half so nearly there ..BUT although we were only 1 of 3 tables in there the chefs could be heard down the street keeping us entertained.

We have eaten here frequently over the past 2 years. Not only are the staff friendly but they have been extremely accommodating of our son’s allergy. Highly recommended the Beef short rib for any meat lovers out there!

Friendly face, fabulous service and had a fantastic birthday due to Julia. Food was lovely and bottomless brunch was how it should be!

Love this restaurant. The staff are wonderful and the food was amazing. We had the short rib burgers and they were excellent.

Had a blue fillet and was not disappointed. The £30 cost was possibly a bit steep but I had a spoons the other week that charged £17 for a rump and a pint…..I’ll happily pay an additional £13 for a better atmosphere and better quality food though so I was happy enough. Waitress incredibly pleasant.

Had an UNBELIEVABLY good roast this week. Potatoes crisp, fluffy and garlicky. Beef had this moorish peppery fat on the outside, pink and oozing. Veg was decent. Next time I’m upgrading to the ultimate. I might even have 2. The Spanish guy who seated me was odd but friendly enough. Will always go back.

Dry warm and welcoming AGA the waitress’s service is second to non very helpful nothing is too much and remember’s your name always worth a trip back

10/10 ! What a wonderful steakhouse in the heart of Leamington. Julia and Kizie were wonderful from start to finish! Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable & extremely friendly ! Would recommend this place for sure food was delicious x

Located on Main Street in Leamington Spa, busy restaurant with good atmosphere. Friendly staff, prompt efficient service. Good food and drinks, although it has to be said, possibly slightly overpriced. Would have been rated 5 stars if prices were more affordable.

Over priced and underwhelming for what you pay. However the quality and taste of the steaks was great. Sides were poor and a meal for 2 costing £100 for what is essentially a slightly upgraded Beefeater is insane. I had an afogato for desert and it was the smallest ball of ice cream drowned in a double shot. It was awful. My partner had the trio of desserts and the churros was dry and had a texture similar to a brandy snap. Staff were friendly, but sadly not likely to return again due to the price

Had dinner here the other night, it was a great night from the minute we walked in until leaving. Julia and Kizie were the members of staff looking after us and they certainly did. Very help and polite and nothing was to much trouble. They recommended what cocktails, wine and food. And they were all great choices. We had a steak, which was cooked to perfection and the wine complimented it. The steak was probably the best ive had for a very long time. Looking forward to go back. Thank you.

Partner and I both had the 8oz rump steak, and we both felt it was the blandest driest steak we had ever had. There was no flavour to the steak at all. Even after adding salt and pepper, the steaks were dull. Ordered drinks, but after 20 minutes, we found out they were never ordered. Chips were dry and bland too. Onion rings were good, though.

Excellent service from the waitresses, they worked hard and were attentive but clearly understaffed. However, the food was very disappointing. Burger and chips nearly £18, the chips were cold so we had to ask for hot fresh ones and the burger was small and tasteless, very disappointing.

Very expensive not good service Waited ages to have our order taken even tho the place was dead I ordered the ultimate roast steak and chicken were nice but the lamb was the smaller fatties bit of meat I had ever seen and was not cooked at all. The chef was so loud and you would think he was on a building site the things he was talking about it really added to the great experience lol I will not be returning

I have to say this is probably the worst meal I have ever eaten in any restaurant, We had booked into the Premier Inn and selected the meal deal. I always like to give constructive criticism as you will see from my previous reviews they are generally full of praise. The table service was bearable with a very apologetic waitress, but the food was exceptionally poor, both the quality of the food and the cooking. My 10 once rib eye was over cooked and more like a small 5 ounce rump that was as tough as an old boot. My wife ordered the Chicken Souviaki the chicken served was raw in the middle, we showed the raw chicken to the chef and manager, the chef apologised but my wife had eaten half of it the chicken (see photos) the manager said she would deduct our side orders. We decided to have dessert I had the affogato my wife had a chocolate brownie. The affogato consisted of a shot of coffee and the smallest spoonful of vanilla ice cream which melted very quickly ( see photo) We ordered a couple of cocktails to cheer us up on the 2 for 1 offer. My wife had to return her cocktails (French Martinis) which should contain Chambard raspberry liqueur, all my wife could taste was pineapple juice, so these were returned. Overall a pretty miserable experience which won’t be repeated.

Julia, the general manager, made some banging bacon and scrumptious sausages. she was very attentative, it was nice that everything was fresh and the eggs were runny and the food was hot. everywhere was super clean and we were very impressed. will defo be back!

Breakfast was nice but not enough options and the pastry section was very limited to 2 items. The machine wasn't working today that toasted your bread. Also there were hardly any pastry items. The hot food was nice especially based on the price.

Beautiful dinner , service was brilliant by Owen couldn’t fault it, very polite and attentive. Tried the steak sampler was really good, would recommend the Bakewell cocktail too. 100% will come back.

WOW what an amazing experience !!!! Was served by Owen - what a charmer, cheeky (but professional) lad kept upselling me all night which probably explains the exceptionally long bill but hey ho #yolo. Moved to the bar area later and the drinks by Harry and Louis were spot on 😉 Definitely will be back as the food is amazing but it’s the staff that makes this ship sail🚢

Food and ambience were good but the service wasn't great. Somehow my server got both my side (mushroom I got instead of spinach) and drink wrong (a pint instead of a half) which is poor. Plus they didn't know how to use the card machine at the end. They were friendly and polite though.

The place was not even half full. Went in to have breakfast for two adults. We were turned away because we had not booked. I had not realised that we needed to book on a Sunday morning. We went outside and used the establishments app to book a table. Once the booking was confirmed we went back in. At this point we were told quite rudly that the restaurant was over booked, that they also catered for the Premier inn, and we were in the wrong for leaving it until the last minute. The concierge made absolutely sure that we were leaving by taking my arm and pointing me towards the door. I will certainly not be going back.

Visited on Mothers day for a family breakfast. Julie on the front desk is brilliant. Welcomed in and shown to our table. Food was great and everyone enjoyed it. Highly Recommend.

Honestly I’m a bit spoilt and used to really good steak, so this would be great for my in-laws or whatever, but I’m a foodie. The steak was cooked perfectly. However it was pretty tasteless for a ribeye and seemed like a pretty poor cut of meat. The first two things we ordered were unavailable, my partner got showered with glass, we were seated by a stag do, the prawns and scallops were overcooked and the bathroom was such a mess I sent a video to my partner Han panned from the « we check these toilets regularly » sign to the absolute worst fing state of the bathroom.

Not the best. The surf and turf was very poor. The steak was mostly fat and it cosy me an extra £6 for two king prawns to make it a " surf and turf". Disgraceful. The only saving grace was the waiting staff.

WOW what amazing food, cocktails and service! Came with friends for a casual meal as we’d heard great things about the place and our expectations were superseded!

Absolutely love it here. We go regularly on a Sunday. We vary between a steak, burger or a roast. Incredible customer service, fantastic food and always a great price. The manager, Julia, is so accommodating and will always go above and beyond.

Came for a bottomless brunch with some mates. Had a bit of a wait for some cocktails but could see everyone was busy and doing their best. Some incredibly rude and impatient guests felt like they were the main characters today and started recording the manger because of the wait! Karen’s everywhere unfortunately. I just want to say, we had a lovely time. Thanks for your efforts. Would probably avoid booking a bottle less brunch on Saturdays in future so as to avoid the Karens.

Lovely roast, lovey host, cocktails were great. The big boy in the kitchen was on top form. Roast was a little pinker than I’d usually have but it was delicious none the less. The wife scoffed a sundae.

Amazing service from the team, edisa (the waitress) and harry (the bartender) in particular went above and beyond with the drinks and service. Furthermore, the chefs executed each dish like it was the last meal they could ever make.

Always fantastic food! Wonderful friendly staff that are very welcoming. I'm in here quite a lot and haven't had a bad experience! :) If you like Steak and are in Leamington, very much recommend.

Took some friends here for the evening and had a wonderful time. Steaks were all cooked perfectly, highly recommend the fillet and ribeye. My friend said it was the best steak he'd ever ordered! Service was top notch! Our server Olivia was very friendly and helpful. Cocktails were delicious, and the 2 for 1 deal was a no brainer! Will definitely be returning, highly reccomend!
