Very bad I don't know what happened used to be great food there unfortunately not any more

You can't fault the quality of the food and drink at GBK. However, we recently visited on a Saturday evening and ended up waiting over an hour for our food to arrive when there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. GBK staff prioritise takeaway deliveries over eat-in customers. The kitchen shouldn't accept delivery orders if they can't keep up like many other restaurants do at busy times. Great food soured by the waiting times and lack of attendance by staff.

Good burgers with a very poor service. Several delivery orders placed with missing items. In the last occasion I called back claiming a missing burger where I've been told they couldn't take responsibility for the delivery and that I should contact the delivery company for a refund (even after I mentioned that the bag arrived sealed from them). Regardless, the whole point is the poor control over the orders (with missing items every now and then) and also the waiting time for the food preparation (1h+, normally). Not worth the burden for a mere burger. Note: ordered around 8pm and it arrived at 21:50 without my burger :')

Excellent lunchtime location as it doesn't get overly busy until later! Very friendly and helpful staff, and every meal I've received here has been fantastic. Can't fault it- if you love burgers you'll love this GBK.

Nice burger chain - you can order a medium rare burger which is a huge plus because that's how we like them. Most burger places, even independents and higher end, don't have the meat provenance licence. Friendly staff here and convenient location just off Regent Street near the elephants. My kids love it.

Food was great, they said that service was a little slow but I think they were understaffed and doing their absolute best to deal with online orders and orders done in restaurant, which is 100% not their fault! But I never thought that anything came out slow.

Meal for 3 at £72 is not cheap and I believe you pay for good food.. I’m not sure if we went in at the wrong time but all the sides were cold and the service was slow.. we tried to get the attention of the staff but that was tricky.. not great value for money as we left half of it..

I went in with 3 children when the restaurant was empty. The waitress had 3 orders to take which she was unable to do. Very rude when the error was pointed out. Order confirmed again - she brought it back and the order was still wrong. Eventually all the food arrived - very poor quality food. Not my first visit but it will be the last.

Walking past Gourmet Burger Kitchen and noticed their burger & chips offer. Very friendly server and staff, clean & tidy, burger was delish and would recommend 100% thank you team 😊

We ordered 3 burgers with fries and after quite a long wait they arrived. On biting into my burger the blood literally ran out of it. Only the outside was cooked as was my husbands. I asked for it to be cooked longer. It was marginally better but still pink in places. Surely ground beef is not to be eaten undercooked and the chef should know how long it takes to cook throughly. I hope we don't get food poisoning! The waitress was helpful and lovely though and if the burger had been cooked properly would have been tasty. Disappointed

Never had a chance to eat there a good fries. One time we got that much salt we couldn’t eat them. Today - no salt, not very fresh fries… why you can’t make a proper fries? Why they are always raw. Cook them for a bit longer to make them crunchy and tasty, and use enough salt but not too much… is it that hard? Birmingham GBK can do it so you can do it as well. If not, maybe you should go and ask Nandos how to make a fries? It’s just opposite your restaurant. I am tired of giving you a chance. I can make better fries at home. I like vegan burger with handmade patty. It’s usually really good. Birmingham still makes it better but yeah. Thanks. Edit. Another wasted money. Gave them a chance and fries salty as hell, not fresh at all and always forgetting to out half of ingredients to the burger 😂😂👌

We had a large group of us, we booked in advance and they sorted everyone’s food quickly. It was also delicious

Food was nice although very small and overpriced portions. £12 for a burger without fries I would definitely expect better. Service wasn’t great, had to wait over 15 minutes for one beer in a quiet restaurant and the chips also arrived cold. They had ran out of all the crispy chicken burgers and wings by 7pm on a quiet Wednesday evening. Definitely wouldn’t visit again although if you’re happy with overpaying the food isn’t too bad.

Visited over a month ago and am still almost £50 out of pocket for food we never received! The chef walked out so the food was severely delayed. After around a 90 minute wait we had to leave as we had tickets pre-booked for the cinema. We were very polite to the staff (not their fault the chef stood them up) but explained that we needed to leave and since we had already paid for the food left my details and was promised that a refund would be issued in the next few days. I have chased on multiple occasions since and despite being told that the issue would be ‘raised to the area manager’ I still haven’t had any contact or refund. I certainly will not consider using gbk again until this issue is resolved.

This was my first time visiting GBK though it was exceptional, and the behaviour and politeness displayed by the staff was just lovely . I had the pleasure of speaking and being served by three different employees, whose names I inquired for the purpose of commending their service in a review. Anchal, Chloe, and Leon provided service that was nothing short of exquisite. The food never the less didn’t disappoint either was just amazing. You can tell that the place is well looked after and that the team members and the kitchen all care for each other and their customers absolutely amazing, well done everyone !

Ordered food for a collection and waited a side near the tills. Their manager with a very bad attitude asked me to wait next to entrance door to collect the food. I wasn’t in anyone’s way and the restaurant is literally empty. Very bad experience and with this attitude you only gonna loose customers.

Good menu selection. Pricey food, quality good. However, we had to order via app, we got our own ketchup etc as none offered. Yet I was a little confused on how they expect a tip at the point of order, before any food was consumed, any service was received ( apart from sitting us down ). I would expect more for the price point

The food was nice but I overheard a staff member (presumably) the manager, in the kitchen and shouting at the top of his lungs at a chef in the kitchen. I understand it can be stressful but to take it out on your team? Even if he had done something wrong, the extent of the shouting was not right. Respect is key.

Bad customer service - i asked one of the girls to take 6 empty bottles of drink of the table due to lack of space for food and she was very frustrated, smashing the bottles on her tray. Bad quality of food. - chicken burger as you can see on the picture, with chicken very burnt, also the bacon was burnt. - the beef burger had the patty burnt, not even very well done, literally burnt. On top of this, there is no excuse for burnt food when the restaurant is almost empty ( 4 /5 tables ) - 06/05/2024 @ 17.00 . The rest of 3 burgers were fine. It could’ve been a one time mistake, but this situstions needs addressing.

The burger is very tasty, one of the best in Leamington. The fries are nothing special, just regular frozen ones. A bit pricey.

Areas to improve… go only for the food, maybe it will be take away only from now on

If i could rate this a 0 i would. The food was cold and slow we waited over 30 minutes for them to bring out 3 burgers witch 2 of them was wrong and they brung them back 3 times and still could not get the order right onion rings was sat on the side since we came in and was freezing when brought to our table the chips was freezing and after 45 minutes we was still waiting on wings,3 sweet potato fries i would not recommend to anyone. Asked for a manger and the women told me he is busy absolutely poor service with rude members of staff.

Just ordered on Deliveroo, we have ordered lots of times before and been lovely! This time it was awful, food was cold, the chips were hard and they forgot our milkshakes. Really disappointed.

The staff, are incredible. The manager is awesome and so friendly. He was always gone beyond my expectations. The quality of food is also very consistently brilliant. I am vegetarian and the plant foods are awesome. Thank you all

Todays performance was bad! 12£ for a very small burger. Patty was burnt on four of four burgers. There was also no special taste, so absolute not worth it. No one of the family finished his menu. The glasses didn’t looked clean and definitely haven’t increased the appetite. We also struggled with the ordering of the kids food with the smartphone. at the end we payed 6£ for each kid instead of the advertised 2£. I’m very sorry but the performance today was too bad for us to rejoin again.

How to have a proper burger. I was happy that you can order without bun. We liked being able to build your own. Costs more than fast food but the quality reflected slightly higher price.

Great quality food as a standard for GBK. Great service, as well. However toilets at this location need to be improved!

Never been here before. Brought my 10 year old for the £2.00 kids eat deal. Service was great but the food was fantastic. Was not expecting that!

Good burgers and drinks - the main advantage being you can ask for medium rare - that's normally not available these days as it requires a special license for provenance. Good kids milkshakes as well. Friendly staff and management.

Amazing food , this is my favourite place for burgers in Leamington , chips and onion rings to die for, the milkshakes are decent too. £11-£14 for a burger is the normal price these days . Would highly recommend , Dan was very polite and professional throughout our teams meal.

I chose to do a click and collect order and upon arrival at restaurant I was asked if I’m here to collect a delivery this is clearly due to staff being racist and assuming all Asian customers that walk through the door are delivery drivers.

Absolute horrible burgers!!! - spend £40 on take out and receive burgers with buns burnt edge, no kimchi on the burger, soggy fried chicken, no taste, under seasoned and the sauce half off the burger. Would not recommend at all,

Love this place as we don't have one in Cardiff. We went there as my daughter studies in the uni there. The food is so nice but really miss their lamb burger which used to have. Very easy to order by scanning qr code and food getting delivered to your table. Would recommend it.

Wanted to try the early bird offer £7 so in advance had popped in with my colleague to ask if all x3 vegan options were part of this offer. Was told very clearly by a female member of staff in charge that they all were- no problem. I thanked her and said “see you Friday”. Went back Friday only to be told by another manager that only x1 burger was part of this deal. He was not interested that we had been given Incorrect information and was happy for us to walk out if the already empty restaurant. He was actually very dismissive and had little time or customer care considering we had checked in advance. Unsurprising that the place was totally empty and always is. Hopefully it will be replaced soon with a better chain.

There are options of rare,medium,well done Gutted that the burger I ordered from uber eats as well done has arrived completely pink throughout, I am pregnant hence why I ordered “well done” as pregnant women are not allowed rare or medium meat due to the risk it poses to the baby Burger went to waste, maybe they should think about checking burgers are cooked as requested

Slightly burnt burgers, didn't bring cutlery, napkins, had to help yourself after ordering online

No atmosphere, very poor service, limited drinks menu compare to what app was saying. Including us was only 3 others tables. Over price for what you are getting and pretty much self service.

We often visit this branch of GBK. The food and service are consistently good. Dan and the team consistently provide great service. We visited on a Friday evening and found the restaurant to be fairly busy. The food and drinks arrived swiftly. Food quality is always good. The Mighty is always a favourite.

I'll point out that the burger itself was nice. But it was pretty small and for £11.50 just for the burger I would want more. Then £4 for a small pile of fries didn't sit well with me.

We went in as a group of six adults and five children and we had such a delightful lunch! The food was excellent and all the staff were delightful. We were fairly fussy about a few things but the staff were excellent throughout. Children had a meal for £2 when ordering an adult meal so that was a bonus. I had the Korean burger but bunless with salad and coleslaw and it was honestly one if the most amazing salads and slaw I've had! Plus the burger was delicious and the rest of the group really enjoyed their meals too. One of the little ones didn't eat everything (standard) so they boxed it up for us to take the rest home for her. We'll definitely be returning! Thanks!

Very overpriced for what you get paid £11 for the Korean BBQ burger which doesn't come with any fries or anything. Burger itself didn't seem "gourmet" or worth the value to me.

Couldn’t even go inside to the Restaurant on Sunday lunch with my friend’s because with some reason the store been still closed.. just avoid this place! They should find more professionals people to run with this business! Atm they are rubbish

Rubbish. Came here on Saturday night with dad, wife and 18mth old son. Took ages to order due to waiters poor English, 3x mistakes with the order, son served meat when were vegetarian, had to wait ages for food and son even longer meaning he was very upset. Ice cream arrived before mains, bizarrely…. Staff very matter of fact unapologetic. Food was ok, but over priced and minimalist, per other reviews on here. Third time we’ve been here and it’s been similar experience each time.

The burger hadn’t been left to sit before it was brought out so my plate was a puddle of grease and blood as soon as I took a bite. When burgers are what you do this is pretty unforgivable

Extremely poor experience , if you’re going to charge £10.75 for a burger, at least send it with some fries, what a pathetic sized burger for nearly £11 , gourmet it ain’t, disgusting food and massively over priced , save yourself a load of money and go to McDonald’s !!

This place was awful, I had an £11 burger, they don’t come with any sides , the burgers come out looking like a McDonald’s £1.29 cheeseburger, only they taste disgusting . If you like burgers avoid this place, it’s a cash extraction experience , and you really feel ripped off when you see the dire quality of the food. No wonder the place was empty, I give it 12 months max and this place will close down, just horrible .

Very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door was greeted by a lovely gent on the bar who advised us to have a seat and the waitress was over straight away to us We ordered on the app which was fast and easy and food never took to long form that Food was absolutely amazing I had my bacon and cheese burger medium and it came perfectly cooked and was one of the best burgers I ever had My colleague Cory had the Korean bbq burger he said it was excellent and he cleared his okay so it was perfect All round amazing visit and the staff are amazing desire a raise 5 stars from the fat guy food review club

One of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. App didn't work, so had to order at counter. Sat at table for an hour, while they ignored us. After chasing twice, they finally admitted they'd lost the order, so we waited for them to cook another one. After another wait, turns out it was the wrong one, had got us mixed up with another table. Got refund and left, having wasted our time. Possibly explains a half empty restaurant...staff were so busy with delivery orders, they ignored the waiting customers. All the while, a clearly ill member of staff lay prone on one of the restaurant seats, while her colleagues brought her hot drinks and blankets. In a food preparation area! A health inspector's nightmare, why didn't they just send her home? If this is the standard of service across the GBK chain, no wonder they're in financial trouble. If they can't do better than this, it's time to close the doors for good.

After visiting GBK and leaving a disappointed review, I returned on a quiet evening and really enjoyed the clean environment and fresh, delicious food! GBK sure know how to make a good Beyond Burger. I'd recommend coming in when it's quiet for clean tables, very short wait times, and piping hot burgers. Thanks for a great evening!

Store manager very rude and unprofessional.

I find this place to be overpriced for what you get. For example, I got a classic chicken burger with chunky fries and 330ml coke. I don’t think it’s worth the money. The chicken burger only had three or four chicken strips in it not a breaded chicken I would’ve been disappointed more, if I did not get the lunchtime meal deal. The staff are friendly. Also, I did not understand that why they don’t serve big plates just in case somebody wants to put the chips next to the burger.

Best panko chicken burger around. Ordered a shake that didn’t arrive but staff were absolutely lovely in rectifying the issue.
