Had a valentines meal here. It was nice. Staff were friendly and food was lovely. Would definitely revisit for the grape soda! It’s our favourite.

WE WENT TO THE ON 29TH JAN 2025 FOR BIRTHDAY MEAL , I HAD THE TRIPPLE CHEESE BURGER AND MAC AND CHEESE. EARLY HOURS OF 30TH JAN 2025 UP ALL NIGHT BEING SICK TWICE AND WAS FELLING SICK THEN FOLOWED BY DHIORHA ALSO, RESULTING ME BEING OFF WORK LOST OF PAY. FURTHER MORE LOW LEVEL OF POOR SERVICE IN RESPECT OF ASS REST MANAGER LIAM MAKING A COMMNET TODAY 31 JAN 2025 SAYING WE HAVE A REST TO RUN. JUSY FOUND OVER ALL DINNING POOR THAN LAST YEAR IN 2024 WHICH WAS AMAING AND OUTSTANING. UP ON SPEAKRING TO EMMA REST MANAGER TODAY I DIDNT FEEL IT BEING TAKING ON BOARD AND IT CAME ACROSS EVERY TIME I TRIED TO PUT MY POINT OR WANT TO ADDRESS SOMETHINING BARRIERS CAME IN THE WAY. ITS ALSO COME ACROSS THAT THE REST MORE KEY THAN MAKING SURE CUSTOMERS WELL AND FOOD COOKED CORECTLY ITS SEEMS TODAY.

Had the mac and cheese with maple and chicken, I poured the whole pot of maple syrup on the top… BIG mistake. I couldn't finish the rest! Was so sickly. Was my fault, however maybe if they gave a smaller pot of syrup it wouldn't have been as bad. All in all, was expensive and meh. However service was good and fast. Although they slap a big fat tip on ur bill😳

Had the smokehouse platter for 2. It's a big portion of food, a nice selection, but unfortunately ours was cold and the brisket was dry as if it had been sitting out on the hotplate for a while. Basically just OK. The service was good but we won't be going back.

We've been here many times and my daughter was really looking forward to celebrating her birthday. Food is of poor standard and quality, drinks have lowered in standard, service has dropped and food is over priced. They're cutting corners in the wrong place. Hickory's always used to make a deal of someone's birthday. No effort was made to make her feel special. Everything has 'magic dust' on, which makes in unpalatably spicy. There's no option to reduce the spice level and no warning you're about to have your taste buds wrecked! Tried to speak to the manager who argued with me when I told him his standards had dropped and menu had changed from the good quality it used to be. He went to speak to the chef to raise the points I'd made and he came back and apologized. Unfortunately won't be visiting again.

Celebrated a 30th birthdays here. Food was great, they took good care of us. 10% Tip was included in the bill, a practice I don't like at all. We normally tip 15% for good service, so the punishment was their loss.

We had a lovely meal with my son. The new playground is great. Moreover we were served by the most attentive male waiter. I didn’t get his name but he has been working at Hickorys for 4 years and had a lot of piercings. He was great- so friendly, welcoming and chatty. We knocked a glass of apple juice spilling it all over and he immediately helped us clean it, brought a new glass of apple juice free of charge and it didn’t seem like any hassle at all. I then wanted to add extra tip and he just refused. This person is just made for customer service. Amazing.

Mostly nice food apart from the salmon which was overdone sadly. Didn't make a fuss though as everything else we had was lovely.

We had the pleasure of dining at Hickory's Burton Green, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The real star of the show, however, was the food. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece, showcasing not only fresh and high-quality ingredients but also incredible skill in preparation and presentation. Busy but service was still good, are in the veranda and wasn't cold as had heaters and blankets! The cinema room is a nice option for the kids!

He estado aquí un par de veces antes, pero vine aquí por mi cumpleaños con mi marido y un grupo de amigos y lo pasamos muy bien! Un montón de tiempo dado para dejarnos mirar a través del menú y elegir, la comida era deliciosa! Incluso tienes una bolsa de palomitas para picar mientras esperas. Teníamos la hamburguesa de pájaro y bestia que era sabrosa (el pollo en ella era increíble! ) y el plato para uno que mi marido siempre dice que es increíble! Las estrellas porno congeladas son tan buenos, que recomendaría encarecidamente. La coca sabía un poco mal, tal vez el jarabe o el gaseosa se agotaba, pero todavía era potable. Postre compartimos el bocadillo de galletas que fue un poco decepcionante ya que la galleta era sólida, pero el yogur helado con él era muy bueno! Como era mi cumpleaños habían puesto un cartel de pizarra en la mesa que era un toque agradable, y luego también sacaron una rosquilla con una vela y cantaron feliz cumpleaños! Lo cual fue una sorpresa encantadora. Realmente recomendaría Hickory’s, ideal para celebrar, solo asegúrese de reservar con antelación!

Excellent service and really nice place!

Food is precooked, microwaved and then put in the oven to seem like it's proper food. While the quality of the ingredients is decent and the staff work efficiently, this place has no reason to exist. The Tip Jar is the cherry on top, I've left it to the staff, but... you have lost a customer forever and of course you lost the main thing: the word of mouth which brought me here but will never bring anybody I know to try this awful culinary experience. Lovely food. I had the veggie burger and was very nice. Grape soda was delicious. It was very busy (for a sunday). Staff were lovely. The only reason for 4 stars is because we waited a very long time to receive our drinks we ordered, to the point that we were ready to leave almost when they arrived so perhaps needed more staff. The little cinema also stopped showing movies and was really messy but I'm sure kids don't really mind the mess but alot sat in there waiting for a film to come on and almost 2 hours later still nothing so was a shame for them. Didn't impact my kids as they're too young.

Mediocre food. Lackluster service. Food came out lukewarm but service is so slow and we were in a big group so it just wasn't worth complaining about. I ordered the Go Big or Go Home burger which looked a lot bigger on the photo than in real life. I thought that's usually the case but it was missing a whole patty! Didn't realise until the end though. It's a shame, nowhere else really does food like it, but I think they know that and they can afford to hire staff with no service experience or training. The prices are just too high for the standard of service and food. I've been several times and it has always been the same - Lukewarm food. Average service at best and overpriced.

came here for my sister 25th birthday. really great service and i enjoyed my free popcorn i had a gorgeous stake and loved the vanilla milkshake really great. They have a great gluten free selection. They did a great job with my dad as he is celiac.

A vibrant smokehouse that offers tasty food and great value for money. I visited on a Wednesday and went for the “Steak and Shake” offer, which included an 8-ounce rump steak, peppercorn sauce, chips, and a milkshake for £12.99. The steak was pink, just as I requested, the sauce rich and sumptuous, and the chips perfectly fried. I also indulged in a side of pork and jalapeño sausage — delicious! The servers were really friendly and attentive. All in all, a great dining experience. I will definitely visit again!

Over all service was good waiter very polite. Milkshakes are very expensive and tbh didn’t taste that great for the price. Everything else was lovely though. What really annoyed me and will stop me from returning is, at the end of the meal the receipt came and it was £201! I mean that’s. Bit ridiculous 3 children’s milkshakes alone was over £16. I had an adults one which was £9 I think and my partner had 3 beers god knows how much that was. Anyway I’m looking over the receipt I noticed our meal actually came to £184, and they put a £14.03 tip on. WTF. It says on the bottom to ask to take it off there will be no judgement. Well me I would’ve told them to take it off because it’s my choice if I want to tip £2, £5 or not at all. But my partner who has very bad anxiety didn’t want to say anything and felt so embarrassed. Places like this make me sick. Don’t ever assume someone wants to tip. If they want to they will give you a tip at the end. In my opinion. Anyway as said before I won’t be returning because I think it’s rude for places that makes so much money to then do that to your bill and some people that may not even realise they’ve done this and paid!

Such a warm welcome when you walk through the door. Lovely clean restaurant with a great atmosphere and amazing food. Staff were attentive and really nice. Good sized car park too. All round great experience and would definitely return!

Chips came out cold. Brioche bun, stale. Staff slow to act. I have been coming here since it first opened unfortunately I don't think I will be returning again totally ruined a very important occasion for me and my family.

El personal era lento y nuestro camarero parecía cansado - posiblemente el resultado de larga noche de fiesta NYE! Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa, pero luego esperamos 20 minutos antes de preguntar a alguien si podíamos hacer nuestro pedido. El Mac con queso (que nuestros hijos siempre piden) era muy acuoso y no su textura cremosa habitual. Elegí los nachos de cerdo de los aperitivos. Lamentablemente estaba muy seco y el encurtido rojo era demasiado! Nuestra mesa estaba reservada para 12: 30 . Habíamos terminado a la 1: 20 y pagado. Entonces un camarero se nos acercó cuando todavía estaba terminando mi bebida y dijo “voy a necesitar que se vayan, ya que tenemos esta mesa reservada para otra fiesta”. ¿Es estándar permitir solo 50 minutos por reserva de mesa? ? Si hubiéramos comido pudín también ¿qué habrían hecho entonces? Muy decepcionante.

Absolutely gorgeous food! We ordered the sharing platter and was not disappointed in the slightest! My friend cannot usually eat meat on the moan.. luckily that weren't an issue because the meat simply slid straight off! Truly impressed and despite the amount came very quickly! Our reservation was for 11 and we were done by 12! Highly recommend the bacon bites appetiser too!!

I found this place expensive for food but it was my first time.

Came here on Saturday with some friends before going to the Warwick art centre to see a show. I have to say the whole experience was faultless from start to finish. The restaurant was decorated beautifully, the host was happy and chatty and gave us a great table by a window, as requested. Our server Casper was quick, efficient and friendly. Our food and drinks very served quickly and have to say all our food was delicious. We never felt rushed and the restaurant was really busy but the service was amazing. A special thanks to Phil who kept us all entertained the whole time. We even got to meet Santa and his Elves. Would highly recommend and will be back soon

Absolutely loved this place came london to visit

This restaurant truly blew us away with the quality of food and service. We went to a show down the road at the Warwick arts centre and were recommended to try this place. Probably the highlight of the evening and will be going back again for sure. Brisket is a must try, they even give you masters to try if you haven't tried it before.

Incredible service from the team at Burton Green. This review is based on two fantastic experiences at the Burton Green restaurant. My wife and I took my youngest daughter, who has fought a life threatening illness this year, out for lunch. This was her first time eating out in months and the staff were amazing. Not only did they present my daught with a gift box and £50 voucher but they also covered the bill for lunch. When we returned two nights later the staff remembered us and were equally amazing. Even though Castle Bromwich is closer to home, I'll only be using Burton Green from here on in. Superb.

What a great place. First visit, but definitely not the last. The decor and atmosphere are bang on theme. The brunch was very nice - looking forward to having dinner there.

Food was awesome. It's not often I visit a restaurant and would eat literally anything on the menu but that was the case on this occasion - the menu was huge, too. Ended up having the platter because I had no idea what to choose. My only gripe was the time we waited for the food but understandable as it was a packed Saturday evening. Drinks were good. Had rum and coke to start and happened to ask the barman about a particular rum that you don't see very often (bayou spiced) and he poured me a little to try before buying which was a nice touch. Also had a long island iced tea which can be hit and miss from place to place, but this one was really nice. My wife had a couple of cocktails (can't remember the names) but they were also very nice, too. Will deffo be back.

This is a great place if you like the American Grill experience. The brisket steak is beautifully cooked and sliced to be visually appealing, too, and melts in the mouth. Staff were excellent from the greeting ar the door to saying goodbye at the end. A nice little touch was we were celebrating and the staff bought out a little cake to say congratulations.

1st time at this new location, great to have a Hickory's closer to home. Usual great food, service and atmosphere. Plenty of booths available. Make sure you book though. Extra kudos for this visit, we arrived a little early with plan to have a drink at the bar, however staff said they had a table ready if we wanted to be seated so took the offer and we had a really nice booth. One final plus for me, temperature in the restaurant was really warm and pleasant (I hate being cold). Great job Hickory's! Definitely will be going back 👍👍

It was my 1st time going to the Hickory's. I whent with my friends. I had the smokehouse platter for 2 after I had the chocolate fug cake. The food was really nice and amazing the drinks was as well. The staff was very friendly,kind and helpful. I would definitely recommended Hickory's

The service and food was great. It's very popular with families so don't go if you want a quiet meal. Children were running around screaming.

Very friendly staff, we initially waited about 16 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order and by then we were ready to order food. The food arrived quickly, it was tasty just a bit cold. The fries were good, just very salty, and on the much cooler side of warm. I ordered the Go Big or Go Home burger and the top burger bun was ice cold (as if it had just come out of the fridge) it's a lot smaller than it appears on the menu but enjoyable nonetheless. Had the pecan pie for dessert, very tasty but again it was slightly warm and not hot as described. The staff were all attentive and friendly, but kept changing. One person took our order, another brought the food, another asked if we wanted more drinks, another asked if we wanted dessert, another took the dessert dishes away. But all were cheery and friendly and the place was surprisingly busy, especially for early evening on a Thursday. Would have been a 5 Star had the food not been cool/cold.

What an amazing evening. The food was very good but it was the service that made it. The manager was a joy and he was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend it.

We’d been to one up north and liked it and was in the area when we decided to pop in for lunch. The service was good and the food was nice. I had the chicken burger double stack and the wife had the sea bass. We both enjoyed our meals although I was gutted that we’d arrived too early from the point of opening to be able to enjoy a chicken gumbo, which I experienced in the Hickory’s up north. However, i think they had a late delivery in and also that the gumbo takes time to cook, which I completely understand. We both had the Pecan Pie for dessert which to be honest, didn’t really do it for me although the missus enjoyed it. I found it a bit tasteless and wished there had been a good amount of maple sauce actually poured on top rather than some pretty patterns thinly drawn around the plate. Next time I’ll have the churros! We enjoyed our meal and the servers were polite and friendly and I’m looking forwards to going back again soon.

I am very disappointed as we have been waiting for over half an hour just to get our bill, which is actually ridiculous, I have constantly had to ask someone to come over so that we could order our main food, desserts and drinks. I think it’s quite annoying because why am I having to nag for simple customer service. Sort your staff out. But on the bright side the Indian lady who originally served us was amazing and is a credit to your company but I think she must of finished her shift after she sat us.

We come here quite frequently for special occasions and otherwise for the excellent food. Portions are decent size. My kids fave place for the complimentary popcorn and movie. It does get extremely busy on weekends which is testament to the amazing food. Service is good but we weren't given cutlery for main dinner or dessert so were kept waiting for a while whilst food went cold. Otherwise its a great place with lovely atmosphere. Nice for families and date night.

Had a great meal and drinks everything was perfect, and tasted amazing, didn’t have to wait long for anything, we had the best server ( can’t remember his name ) but after mentioning it was our anniversary went above and beyond and made us feel so special. I hope he’s appreciated for his hard work ❤️

Love this place. Dependably delicious...if you like perfectly seasoned melt-in-the-mouth meat and lots of it! The Smokehouse Platter has a bit of everything meat-wise, including crispy fries, corn bread, coleslaw and spicy red onion. Just don't depend on the beans being beans because they're more brisket than anything else! Service is quick and efficient, music and decor fit the theme nicely, food and drink options are epic. Definitely worth a visit.

This will be short and sweet, best BBQ I've had at a chain restaurant. The Brisket and short beef rib were particularly amazing. A note on the price, this is not a cheap a place to eat, but the quality justifies the price for me and gratuity is added automatically so just be aware before you go.

Was treated to a surprise birthday meal here and what an absolute treat it was, love this place, the staff were great and the food and drink was really nice. Will be returning especially for special occasions. Particularly enjoyed the churros and the massive platter. The grape soda is to die for.

Coffee and food cold waited for ages for drinks and food not impressed update asked to email the manager which i did got a reply saying she would phone the next day to discuss this further guess what no phone call

A bit disappointing to be honest. The service wasn't quite up to scratch. Been there 3 times now for birthday celebrations. On each occasion, I booked through their website in advance and have had to sit outside despite there being tables inside empty. When questioned, the hostess couldn't give a straight answer on why we couldn't sit inside. Everything was delayed as a result thereof. Then, they automatically add on a tip, regardless of the service, so check your bill before deciding on whether their service is worth a one.

Smoked food is best food. Our first time eating here (any Hickory’s for that matter) and we really enjoyed it! They took not of my message and the staff were ready for the birthday meal which was really nice. All the staff are lovely, forgot our servers name but she was amazing running around everywhere! 10/10 would recommend. Amazing food and amazing atmosphere!

Even though this is a bit outside the city, it’s totally worth the drive. Honestly the best smoked meat I’ve had till now. The sharing platter for two, was more than plenty and honestly could be a platter for three. Loved their signature beer as well. The staff were nice and friendly.

The staff were very friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the steak and the beef rib with a side of brisket mac n cheese. When it arrived the mac n cheese was hot and so were the chips but the meat was cold. Sadly this is the second time this has happened to us at hickorys. Is it just us that enjoys hot food? When it was brought back after sending it back, it was hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff gave us a small discount which we were grateful for bur my advice is if you have any meat dishes ask them to make sure its served hot.

Food was great!! Service was ok...neither brilliant or terrible and purely a personal opinion regarding the atmosphere...decor and lighting not to our taste, but did notice that they were closing for a refurb shortly.

This restaurant is brilliant for food, the service is brilliant, quality is top notch and it is a meat lover's dream. I have been a few times now and it has always been consistent quality and service.

I have been on several occasions and not really had an issue. However today I have left with an injury and the service was so delayed due to a computer error with no attempt from the staff to rectify any of the issues. We ordered our food not long after arriving at 12pm on Saturday (14th September). We were waiting for around 40 minutes (in a not busy restaurant) before the manager came over and advised there was a PC error and the food had not gone through to the kitchen. It was out within 15 mins after this but my brunch choice was very lacklustre. Nothing was offered by the manager to compensate for the original delay. I then went to the toilet while we were waiting again for someone to attend to our table (all others around were being well attended to so we felt very left out). I then got a cut to my leg from the toilet seat being split and catching me. I immediately told a member of staff who didn’t really seem too fussed and again, nothing was done to rectify this. They seem great for the bare minimum but don’t seem to care other than that. While this isn’t a major injury like a break, I would still expect it to be reported and documented and some form of apology to be issued from the Manager regarding this.. not a good experience, especially as we were there for a birthday meal. We didn’t make a fuss of it and I do feel if we had, the service would have been so much better
