We’d been to one up north and liked it and was in the area when we decided to pop in for lunch. The service was good and the food was nice. I had the chicken burger double stack and the wife had the sea bass. We both enjoyed our meals although I was gutted that we’d arrived too early from the point of opening to be able to enjoy a chicken gumbo, which I experienced in the Hickory’s up north. However, i think they had a late delivery in and also that the gumbo takes time to cook, which I completely understand. We both had the Pecan Pie for dessert which to be honest, didn’t really do it for me although the missus enjoyed it. I found it a bit tasteless and wished there had been a good amount of maple sauce actually poured on top rather than some pretty patterns thinly drawn around the plate. Next time I’ll have the churros! We enjoyed our meal and the servers were polite and friendly and I’m looking forwards to going back again soon.

I am very disappointed as we have been waiting for over half an hour just to get our bill, which is actually ridiculous, I have constantly had to ask someone to come over so that we could order our main food, desserts and drinks. I think it’s quite annoying because why am I having to nag for simple customer service. Sort your staff out. But on the bright side the Indian lady who originally served us was amazing and is a credit to your company but I think she must of finished her shift after she sat us.

We come here quite frequently for special occasions and otherwise for the excellent food. Portions are decent size. My kids fave place for the complimentary popcorn and movie. It does get extremely busy on weekends which is testament to the amazing food. Service is good but we weren't given cutlery for main dinner or dessert so were kept waiting for a while whilst food went cold. Otherwise its a great place with lovely atmosphere. Nice for families and date night.

Great fun place to dine with the family. Personally I would prefer bigger portions but I'm a greedy monster, who likes to eat big. Overall fantastic place to eat.

Had a great meal and drinks everything was perfect, and tasted amazing, didn’t have to wait long for anything, we had the best server ( can’t remember his name ) but after mentioning it was our anniversary went above and beyond and made us feel so special. I hope he’s appreciated for his hard work ❤️

Love this place. Dependably delicious...if you like perfectly seasoned melt-in-the-mouth meat and lots of it! The Smokehouse Platter has a bit of everything meat-wise, including crispy fries, corn bread, coleslaw and spicy red onion. Just don't depend on the beans being beans because they're more brisket than anything else! Service is quick and efficient, music and decor fit the theme nicely, food and drink options are epic. Definitely worth a visit.

This will be short and sweet, best BBQ I've had at a chain restaurant. The Brisket and short beef rib were particularly amazing. A note on the price, this is not a cheap a place to eat, but the quality justifies the price for me and gratuity is added automatically so just be aware before you go.

Was treated to a surprise birthday meal here and what an absolute treat it was, love this place, the staff were great and the food and drink was really nice. Will be returning especially for special occasions. Particularly enjoyed the churros and the massive platter. The grape soda is to die for.

Coffee and food cold waited for ages for drinks and food not impressed update asked to email the manager which i did got a reply saying she would phone the next day to discuss this further guess what no phone call

Absolutely banging, we had the sharing platter was more than enough for 2 people. The only thing I didn't like was that they added a tip on the bill but asked to be taken off no problem. Would go again

A bit disappointing to be honest. The service wasn't quite up to scratch. Been there 3 times now for birthday celebrations. On each occasion, I booked through their website in advance and have had to sit outside despite there being tables inside empty. When questioned, the hostess couldn't give a straight answer on why we couldn't sit inside. Everything was delayed as a result thereof. Then, they automatically add on a tip, regardless of the service, so check your bill before deciding on whether their service is worth a one.

Smoked food is best food. Our first time eating here (any Hickory’s for that matter) and we really enjoyed it! They took not of my message and the staff were ready for the birthday meal which was really nice. All the staff are lovely, forgot our servers name but she was amazing running around everywhere! 10/10 would recommend. Amazing food and amazing atmosphere!

Even though this is a bit outside the city, it’s totally worth the drive. Honestly the best smoked meat I’ve had till now. The sharing platter for two, was more than plenty and honestly could be a platter for three. Loved their signature beer as well. The staff were nice and friendly.

The staff were very friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the steak and the beef rib with a side of brisket mac n cheese. When it arrived the mac n cheese was hot and so were the chips but the meat was cold. Sadly this is the second time this has happened to us at hickorys. Is it just us that enjoys hot food? When it was brought back after sending it back, it was hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff gave us a small discount which we were grateful for bur my advice is if you have any meat dishes ask them to make sure its served hot.

Food was great!! Service was ok...neither brilliant or terrible and purely a personal opinion regarding the atmosphere...decor and lighting not to our taste, but did notice that they were closing for a refurb shortly.

This restaurant is brilliant for food, the service is brilliant, quality is top notch and it is a meat lover's dream. I have been a few times now and it has always been consistent quality and service.

I have been on several occasions and not really had an issue. However today I have left with an injury and the service was so delayed due to a computer error with no attempt from the staff to rectify any of the issues. We ordered our food not long after arriving at 12pm on Saturday (14th September). We were waiting for around 40 minutes (in a not busy restaurant) before the manager came over and advised there was a PC error and the food had not gone through to the kitchen. It was out within 15 mins after this but my brunch choice was very lacklustre. Nothing was offered by the manager to compensate for the original delay. I then went to the toilet while we were waiting again for someone to attend to our table (all others around were being well attended to so we felt very left out). I then got a cut to my leg from the toilet seat being split and catching me. I immediately told a member of staff who didn’t really seem too fussed and again, nothing was done to rectify this. They seem great for the bare minimum but don’t seem to care other than that. While this isn’t a major injury like a break, I would still expect it to be reported and documented and some form of apology to be issued from the Manager regarding this.. not a good experience, especially as we were there for a birthday meal. We didn’t make a fuss of it and I do feel if we had, the service would have been so much better

The meat here was unreal, thoroughly enjoyed it, only downside was the slaw thing they send woth all the mains, tasted vile none of us liked it. This needs to be changed for something else, perhaps a corn on the cob or simple salad?

Pleased to report a vast improvement on the last time I was there about a year ago.

They have some good mid week deals now. The staff are fantastic here.

A very good barbecue place, good news for meat eaters. We order their set menu for two every time, and the beef brisket is very delicious. My friends and I go there every time after playing sports in Warwick and leave very satisfied every time. The beer is also very good.

I ordered texas style Brisket and louisiana tator tots. Both of the items were delicious. Highly recommend if you want to try South America style cuisine.

First time at Hickory’s for a birthday celebration. 7 adults - 2 young children. Relaxed friendly atmosphere, good selection of food and drink - including special non- alcohol drinks. Will return.

Normally we have such a good experience, but this one was seriously lacking. Booked the meal for my partners birthday meal so wanted to experience the atmosphere but again we were stuck in the conservatory corridor where there is no atmosphere. Also right by the door of which kept being left open by other guests and staff alike and I had to get up a few times to close it as all I could smell was people smoking outside which affected the experience. The server was extremely lacking in service standards and attention. Was left for long periods when we wanted to order more drinks and not once did a table check on how we were finding things hence why it was a two. Also I think he realised how poor it was as he didn't give us the device for service review and just put the bill receipt on the table. With the food, my partners food looked and from what he said tasted really good and that's why it's a three rather than less. Mine however was not good at all but couldn't say anything as the server was never there. I have the main version on the chicken in a basket, this was really overcooked as the chicken was small, very very dark in colour and extremely dry. However as I know you do the birthday desert plates as we have been before but even though I put it as a birthday meal nothing seemed special about it and this was not offered at all. After spending £95 for two people on this visit I'd really question coming back to this one, recently been to the new one opened in Gloucester and this was superior in every way and 5*s all round. This one however not so much. As stated would seriously question coming back to the Burton Green restaurant :(

We lived in Texas for six years so we’re skeptical coming in about the authenticity of the food and ambience. But…. It was perfect. We could have been back in Houston (apart from the football -‘soccer’ - on the telly!) Thank you. We’ll be back.

Delicious food, cocktails and wonderful service from the enthusiastic team. Tasty hot sauce too! If you don't know what to order the sharing platter won't see you wrong. Personally I can't visit Hickorys without indulging in some frickles (deep fried pickles). Don't overlook the bar menu and talented bartenders- from the ultimate Bloody Mary if you have a hangover to an excellent Mannattan or non alcoholic grape soda you won't be disappointed. Hickorys 🥰 you have my heart!

Nice food and great atmosphere!! I tried the brisket 2 times and it was an absolute win both times! But the rib was at a dissatisfying side (for me) since there were no proper seasoning or special taste! but I would visit there again for the brisket, burger and much more!

Had dinner here today, our server Sean and the Manager Kynan were both incredible. Fantastic people skills and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Lovely clean restaurant, great for kids and families. Very busy every time I’ve been in which says a lot! Food was fast delicious and piping hot 10/10

Lovely food at hickorys I always have the platter for one which has a mixture of all of the different meats they have to offer and I have to say it hits the spot everytime especially the corn bread which I had never tried before going to hickorys so it is a lovely little touch on a dish that is already packed full of flavour

Service was good but I was about dissapointed with the food as I found the burger very dry - burgers at this price especially should be juicy and not dried up / Mac and cheese was okay don’t really have anything bad to say about it but the burger was just so disappointing I felt like I could’ve had a juicer burger from McDonald’s it was just so dry and hard to eat, I don’t think il come back )-: massively overrated

I came here with some of the guys from work as a works night out. I was a little late and they hadn’t ordered and a waiter came over with a pint of Amstel saying someone had over ordered and it was good free, which I thought was nice. Food was ok and I had been drinking the Hickory Pale Ale. I went up to get another pint and got chatting to the barman about craft beers etc and when I asked him how much I owed he said because of the nice I could have it on the house, which again was nice. I was speaking with one of my colleagues about dessert and we wondered how they did the toasted marshmallows, which was on the menu and too our surprise it came with a small fire pit which was interesting. We did have a nice meal but other things stood out for our night out to make it memorable.

Forgot to log my excellent meal here a little while ago - you can’t go wrong with the frickles and mac n’ cheese, other than struggling to fit everything in your belly! I would say though it’d be nice to see one or two more fish and vegetarian options as the pescatarian in my family gets a bit bored of sea bass, but otherwise I can’t fault this place.

Birthday treat for daughter. I believe we all over indulged from the menu. A mix of drinks for the starter.I had the steak which was the best I have ever had. Burgers and fries. Wow. Tried a JD mix. The Cookie sandwich is coming. Have heard only good thing about about here.Thanks to the staff for our enjoyable time.

Another great night at Hickory's, great food, great service, great atmosphere. Only (very minor) complaint was that as 9 adults we were put in a cubicle that was really only for 8. However it was sorted quickly and efficiently by our server. Highly recommended.

Not sure what has happened here in the last few months since our last visit but it’s definitely gone downhill, I had the hotdog and it was that tough I had to use a knife and fork to cut through the meat, frickles were thin and small not like usual, only drink they had available that was diet/zero was coke which 1 I’m not over keen on and 2 the only drink other than water being diabetic I could have. I had to clean the ketchup bottle before I could use it as it was covered in sauce. They need to do better as this isn’t what we have had before at this branch.

When you see such good looking food on the menu, and then are served something that doesn't look anything like what you thought you were getting. Very poor quality food for the prices charged, won't be going back :(

When we arrived they put us in the lean too but I asked if we could have a table in the main bar area. ( if you book in line you get shoved into the awful areas) happened more than once. We did get a table in the main bar which was great. Service was brilliant and the food tasty. Very over priced for what you get! The brisket was more fat than beef, the pulled pork was more beans than pork, the sweetcorn slices were poor. The side orders were average and I wouldn’t order them again.

Went on a saturday for my birthday ran out of what i wanted even though it was at 6.30 and no churos for pud very disappointed

Just returned from a fabulous meal at Hickory's. I have a Garlic allergy, so it's hard to find food that I can eat. The Manager Jason Steed gave me ideas what I could have, in the end they made me a fresh 12oz steak, the service from all the staff was 10/10. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back. Thank you guys, enjoyed my evening tonight.

Over priced for bland food. I had the bird and the beast more like the sparrow and the mouse... Portions were small for price.

Quite disappointed overall. The table hadn't been cleaned properly before we got there, which wasn't a great start. The food took around 50 minutes to arrive, and when it did was pretty underwhelming. In addition the sweetcorn side was so spicy as to be almost inedible. The whole place just seems a bit tired, coupled with the fact that it isn't that cheap made for a really underwhelming experience.

Great food and great service from our waitress Emily, she went above and beyond including moving us to sit in the area we like best and giving up food recommendations! will be back again!

We had a table of 14, for my daughters 15th birthday. Issy served our table and was outstanding disbite the large numbers of complex orders. She truly made everyone feel welcome and was so attentive.. there was a system error with bill she handled it like a pro. Great food, nice friendly place, with a cinema room for children & adults to watch a film and drink, or just for children to watch a film if you haven't finished eating and ready to leave. You get a bowl of popcorn & a bottle of water free soon as you sit down.

Great location, little bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Staff were friendly and professional, however on a busy day the service was slow, we ended up waiting around an hour for our mains after our starters. The food here is great, not cheap, but portions are truly American sized. Cocktails were also very tasty and fun. Will be coming back here again for sure!

The food is always good in this place, the chattery atmosphere is enough background noise to be comfortable but of a level you know your own conversation can still be heard by whoever you are dining with. The All-American ambience works well too. Service is fast and courteous - the servers are decently knowledgeable. Always worth a return. It is not cheap, but for what you pay the value is great

Used to love this place, sadly it seems to be going down hill… the prices forever increase but the food quality gets worse every time. When your spending £30-40+ per head you expect it to be spot on. My food was cold, and over cooked, the chicken in a basket was over cooked and hard to eat, it actually hurt my mouth. Another family member had the steak and it was not good quality at all it was so chewy, she couldn’t finish it. Again chips were barely warm. Such a shame as it used to be a great place but it doesn’t live up to what it used to be. Service in the past has been fab but on this occasion it was very minimal.

If slow cooked BBQ meats are your thing then this place is a must!!! The flavours OMG 😱!!! It is pricey but well worth a stop. the platter for 1 and a pint of cola cost me just shy of £40 and I don't regret it one bit!

Omg I haven't been here for years, so glad we came to enjoy these well presented, full of flavour dishes. Service was ok, a bit slow but worth the wait. Some staff are very happy to serve, some are a bit miserable. However when u get to the drinks, boom! Go for the frozen cocktail. Holy moly the Tennessee twister is to die for. And in yr pocket but yea yeah yeah it was good. Then the food. I had the Tennessee brisket, cooked to perfection, maple gravy, house slaw, skin on fries. Oooo the flavours. A mix of American goodness. Will definitely not leave it so long next time.

I went here today with family. Food was lovely (brisket was a little dry though) I recommend the platter, it had a variety of things and it is great for first comers who don't know what to get. Waiter was lovely and friendly. Definitely would visit again.

Unfortunately we had lost of ants in the raspberries and mint lemonade drinks. Food was not served all at once 5 minutes delay before they all came. Pulled pork was dry and the sea bass meal not worth the price. We would not have left a tip but I noticed a service charge had been put on the card bill. Could be better but we were let down by the kitchen staff really. Table service very good.

Been here a few times now. Food is delicious and so tasty and filling. So many good options. Can definitely recommend Mac n Cheese, the burgers, sharing platter, tacos, the onion rings the size of your face(!), and the pork bites. Staff are also really friendly and attentive. Have always been thoroughly impressed with every dish I've tried. Always full of flavour and big portions. The fried chicken in particular is absolutely unbelievable. Would love to see Nashville hot chicken added to the menu.

Amazing place! We came there with an advanced booking and we were not disappointed. The guys at the bar know how to maintain the atmosphere and they were really generous with us (wink wink). I could not recommend them enough!

Starts fairly encouraging, good greeting complementary popcorn, yes popcorn, appetiser to sweeten your palette before all the salty sweetness of things to come. Then, our server approaches with such a sullen face, oh what joy he conveyed NOT(not all staff looked this happy!!). He took our order, the platter to share, and drinks. Good waiting time only 10 to 15 mins at quite a busy time of day. Now, this is quite a platter of meat after meat after meat after meat after sausage. Unfortunately, 1st failing point, the service plater and plates were bearly warm, not hot, so by the time you get to the bottom, it's all cold. 2nd failing of the dish, in a way, is all that meat and no real vegetables to go alongside it. Yes, you got fries and slaw, but no corn cob onion rings[had to order as side dish] or other veg? And the slaw was quite stingy, no a lot stingy. Don't misunderstand me. The menu didn't have any mention of vegetables, so it was as ordered. But until you start eating, you don't realise how much it needed that vegetable or vegetables. Especially when all that chard smokey meat (not sure if a couple of the dishes should have been burnt...chard) starts to go down. The chard meats were very tender and fell apart beautifully and tasted good without the outer blackness. Overall, not £60 of goodness. There was also a poor moment from the staff when I wanted to try the rootbeer float, sounded so nice rootbeer and custard cream float. Most decent restaurants or even pub food (as this is) places would admit before serving anything you ordered, you are not going to get what you ordered because they don't have it. No, they tried to palm me off with squirty cream float and just looked at me blank when I asked where the custard was. The manager did come and apologise and took the drink off the bill, but I wouldn't have expected less. (£90+ platter, 2 sides, 2 soft drinks, 0% pale ale, soda, shake & rootbeer removed) Finish on a good word.... hmmm MILKSHAKES. Yes, you need to try those MILKSHAKES.

I found our experience here was a real mixed bag, high highs, low lows. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant clean and with a nice atmosphere. There were lots of nice small touches like the free popcorn, great selection of sauces, and the drinks were really good too. We ordered the smokehouse platter - it was loads of food between 2. Some parts were really good: the brisket was soft and juicy, the sausage was really nice. However a lot of the platter was tough and really dry. The pit beans were particularly bad - the beans themselves were nice but the chunks of "pulled pork" in it were very dry, really tough, and pretty tasteless. The ribs likewise had clearly been either reheated from the day before or had been left under the hot lamp all day, they were dry, fibrous, and lukewarm. The beef rib was similar. I find it hard to recommend when more than half the dishes were disappointing. I really appreciate the great service though.

Food was average, sent fries back as were stale. Beer is flat and they tolerate loud idiots in the bar area, not great when eating! Staff were very pleasant, so a shame that the experience was poor.

Best place (even for vegetarians)! My only request is that you add a vegetarian option to the Soda & Sub deal as I would absolutely love to see that, especially as my favourite soda is the grape!
