Me and my partner have ordered from here twice, the second time they didn't actually have any banana blossom left, they called to tell us after the order had been placed, the staff were so apologetic and friendly, happy to offer us alternatives even if it cost a little more. We will definitely be going back, has become our pay day treat.

The tapas version of the paella at £6.95 and the full sharing version at £16.95 was that much different in size but a huge price gap which was a bit peculiar but nevertheless was very tasty.. the food was very good and the restaurant was authentic with a very spanish feel.. The staff were very friendly and attentive.. 😀

Although I live in town did not know about this place, we were going elsewhere but saw it and thought give it a go. Very small over two levels, waiter was on own so covering both floors so service a little slow but the chef did well. I do not think any was booked in it seemed to be all walk ins, the waiter was friendly and as it was tapas suggested it was usual to have 3 plates each and then maybe share which is what we did, each dish was cooked to order and was generally very good, the paella tapas was huge but good slightly dry for my taste but would not stop me ordering again. Each dish was a good portion and felt overall it was good value and tasty. Would I go back yes I think I would the only down side is it is so tiny

How lucky were we?. We walked past this small and cosy looking restaurant which was closed at the time, and commented on how nice it looked. On the way back the owner was in the doorway and we stopped to glance inside. He came out and told us it was their opening night, and went through what we could expect from the menu. Without further ado we booked a table for the following evening and were delighted with our choice. It wasn't a big menu, but the quality and value were outstanding. I certainly wouldn't say it was expensive, in fact excellent for the quality of the cooking and lovely ambience. The owner is a friendly, knowledgeable and well travelled man, and attentive enough to make it special, but staying at a distance in between. The restaurant on view from the road isn't the only bit, downstairs are comfy sofa's with just as pleasant an ambience. We both loved this evening and it made our trip to Falmouth, which was a Valentines Day weekend, quite perfect!

We decided to sit downstairs and we were given the choice of either the Sunday roast, roast beef or the lunchtime menu. There are local artistes work displayed around the restaurant and local artists are played in the restaurant covering mainstream songs. I went for the rump steak sandwich which came served in a large hot dog roll along with some garnish and rustic chips which were lovely and served in a little dish. The pieces of steak were just the right length so that there would be less problems chewing the meat and it was cooked perfectly. Overall, a lovely meal.

I had read good reviews online and the menu sounded interesting. When we go there the venue was quaint with a friendly waitress, however the food was rather disappointing. We ordered a crab sandwich, squid and prawns tapas. The crab sandwich, which was £8, barely had any filling at all and I felt a little robbed having to pay £8 after mentioning it to the staff. The prawns and squid were okay but nothing special. I wouldn't go back.

It has a full menue which caters for most tastes. My wife had meat balls with pasta which she assured me was equally good. But she she really did go overboard with the lemon, clotted cream and biscuit dessert. It was just by luck that we found the restaurant but we were glad that we did.

My Wife found a review about a restaurant called Bangers with a twist. So as we love sausages we thought we'd give it a go. They have now had a name change to earth and sea, which we felt slightly disappointed at but we thought we'd try it anyway. From the street this grill could be mistaken for another tea and coffee shop, Cafe or even a souvenir shop and is easy to walk past. If you are a hungry shopper visiting Falmouth it's very easy to be lured up to another restaurant just up the road... But STOP.... Go into number 28 and you will be greeted by people who obviously love working there, warm and friendly with no pressure :). Go downstairs for more seating which is very cool (temperature and rep stakes). The lunch menu is small, but this is a good thing as you're not overwhelmed by choice and then when they serve the food you'll be blown away! We had the burgers a house and hawiain, big thick burgers. I'm always slightly worried about thick burgers as they can be "hard going", but these... No way, they just melt in your mouth with homemade BBQ sauce that doesn't detract from the flavoursome meat and the "obtained" grilled pineapple (if you want to know what happened you'll have to go in and find out ;)). Their homemade mayonnaise is epic, I'm not a big mayonnaise fan but this was something special... Again no spoilers ;). This place is truly special and well worth a visit or two... They do an evening meal as well, would be rude not to.

Due to the name alone you wouldn't think Bangers would be a top choice for a vegetarian but you would be very, very surprised! I have regularly recommended the restaurant to veggie friends and they have been dubious but then pleasantly surprised at how lovely the food is. We decided to try this place out for lunch on a Friday afternoon but wish we hadn't. We were greeted in a very friendly manner by the staff and chose to sit downstairs which was comfortable. My husband and myself decided to order the tasting platter which promised little samples of the menu including sides, we also wanted to order a Greek salad to go with it (it was on the menu)but we were told the didn't have any but were assured the dish came with sides and salads,so we asked for some houmus to go with it which was also on the menu but the waitress said she wasn't sure if the chef had made any but would check, we also ordered chips as a side.We had to wait a bit of time for the platter but this was not a problem however we were very surprised when it arrived as we had been expecting a platter with various items off the menu such as pulled pork/sliders and a selection of their sides with brioche, what we received was 4 sausages cut up into separate dishes topped with slightly burnt brioche. The sides included sauerkraut which was from a jar a tiny bit of tomato and cucumber, some disgusting coleslaw that was definately not homemade and some sweet red onion relish which was very nice but only a tiny amount. I realise this was only a tasting platter but at £15.95 plus the extra for chips we were expecting something more than just four sliced sausages and a tiny bit of shopbought relish. The sausages themselves were of good quality meat however the skins a little thick, this may be ok in a hot dog roll but on their own were not particularly pleasant, we left all of the lamb one as it had an unpleasant offal like taste to it. We also left some of the other sausages and all of the sides except the red onion relish. When we went to pay the waitress asked if everything had been ok with our food she was very polite and seemed genuinely surprised when we said we were disappointed particularly with the side dishes which we thought would be homemade. We were informed that the red onion relish and the coleslaw is homemade however I do not believe the coleslaw was,it was shiny and tasteless like many shop bought varieties. We were given a discount as she took off the price of the chips as we were so disappointed which was good but nothing would entice us to go back. Maybe they do better at burgers and hotdogs but after this occasion we won't take that risk.

Bangers Dog (the house hotdog) was good too- lighter as they use brioche rolls. It's not going to be a New York traditional hot dog but pretty good for the value and a really cute place. Perfect for lunch and would definitely go again. We popped in for lunch on a rainy afternoon with our two young children. Another burger bar in Falmouth promising American style burgers and hot dogs what's not to like !! I knew we were in for something bad when walking past the chef he mouthed the words f&@k off under his breath !!I think he might of been busy ( isint there a phrase about heat and kitchen!!) being seated downstairs in what seemed like somebody's front room (not really a problem but bit quirky) we choose our dinner and throughout the waitress was pleasant, but when the food turned up (we waited a bit) kids food first and please tell me why do people cook sausages in the fryer!! Chef was busy but we would rather of waited and had it cooked properlyNext my chilli burger came with chips not salad but never mind, all our chips were greasy, coleslaw was disgusting half the ingredients were missing from my burger ( had to ask for them)Same for my wife's chicken and bacon burger one piece of chicken didn't fill half the roll and things missing from the burger!! And all served on a wooden board and a basket for the fries very pretty. Why do chefs do this?? Every time you cut into the board you get a mouthful of wood!! Never mind maybe the side of fried mushroom will be nice , oh hang on they have been in the fryer as well ( there's a theme here) but unlike the burger descriptions these were spot on fried!! We raised the issues with the hostess she apologised took the burger off the menu and retrieved the missing items for my burger, she was helpful throughout. As a chef myself I never complain but this time something had to be said poor food from a poor chef we won't be going back and I don't recommend this place.

We were wandering around Falmouth looking for brunch and this caught our eye, being fans of the bangers! The menu looked great and the staff, when we went in, were really nice. But the food … so disappointing. I had the chorizo dog and chips, with a side of pulled pork and he had the pulled pork in a bun with chips. The chorizo was tasty but the skin was really difficult to get through, so I ended pulling the meat out. The side of pork (at £2) was tiny - it tasted nice, but a third was fat. And, this wasn’t just a problem for me – his was also about a third fat. Surely, people, when you are pulling pork, you get rid of the bits that no-one will eat. Them, we get to the chips – overcooked and incredibly greasy – we both left most of them, as we were feeling queasy.I so wanted this to be great, but it just wasn’t.

The chips were overcooked and ridiculously greasy (so much so that I was nearly sick afterwards). Such a shame, I really wanted it to be so much better than it was. Free wifi, though.

Our server was less that enthusiastic about her job and hardly said a word throughout the service. leaving us feeling a little flat. We had a sampler of several different bangers with various sides (oddly, not including chips, which come on almost all the banger platters). The food was nice, no complaints. I think where we felt let down was the experience as a whole, the service was lackluster and less that warm and I think in such a small intimate setting it means a lot to provide personal service. I wouldn't say we won't be back, but we may give them a bit of time to sort themselves out before returning.

Love sausages so have been meaning to visit for a while - SO glad I did! Really lovely place, chilled atmosphere, fab friendly staff and the bangers... Oh the bangers! Title of this review says it all really - gorgeous :) Although one friend had a burger (there's always one!) she's allergic to gluten and they made sure her (delicious apparently) burger arrived without bun :)Really don't recognise the neg reviews description of this great little place, I absolutely reccommend it and think I'll be coming back on a Thursday for the free music. Bloody brill - thanks!

Bangers with a Twist is a treasure of a find! Friendly staff and a causal but professional approach to superb food. I was made welcome as soon as I went through the door. The place itself is quirky perfection with brilliant art touches and great music being played in the background. The menu was fab, the only trouble you have is making up your mind what to eat. It has such a nice presence even the customers began chatting between the various tables. The food was excellent and served with a smile. Loving the ambience I even headed back out there in the evening to watch a live music performance downstairs and everyone there had a great time. I couldn't recommend this place more, I'll be going back again and again.

We decided to go here tonight as it is quite new and have not been yet. We. Were quite disappointed. We were quite confused when we first arrived that we are offered a table down stairs. Although she said its would be a table for six people! We decided because of that we would sit up stairs. Straight away the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink and stood watching, and we felt under a bit of pressure. While it wasn't busy the waitress just stood at the till behind us just looking around, later on someone asked her obviously what the situation was with how many people are left in restaurant, and she shouted across us just waiting for the people down stairs to go! Which felt so unprofessional! I can see this place working as a lunch time take away sit in quick place, but is not geared up for evening dining. It felt more like a take away/ casual. We had a bottle of white wine on the table, it was not in anything to keel it cool, just small things like this made s think that it just wasn't geared up for evening dining. It's a real shame because we live in falmouth, and I'm a big fan of sausages, so was quite excited about trying this place, even though I'd read some bad reviews. Unfortunately we will not be going back in the evening. I have to say though the male waiter was very helpful!

The waiting staff are fast, friendly and efficient. However, ff you order a breakfast from there its downhill. The plates were stone cold, so the food was too in short order. We specifically asked for the bacon to be well done, it was not. The much vaunted sausage was lukewarm, barely cooked and encased in what seemed like a see-through leather. The fried eggs were served on onions. Perhaps this is something new. The cheapest of cheap margarines is used (and optimistically called "butter"), a red sauce is provided on request, though it is a worrying deep synthetic pink in colour and I am prepared to bet has no actual tomatoe ingredient involved. Still, we eat up like good English folk do until we were asked if everything was alright. Given the wide array of issues I gently relayed my comments to the waitress - she said "Oh, sorry", and that was that. Later we went to pay, expecting no more complications. Arriving upstairs to pay I was confronted by the proprietor with an aggressive "Is this the one?" He then became a little more polite and said he would welcome my feedback. In my most gentle and unconfrontational tones I let him know my observations. He elected to argue each and every point (except the plate temperature - that would have been tricky). We didn't go there for an argument, so I agreed that perhaps he had his way of preparing food and I have mine and left it at that.No discount was requested, offered or received - so we paid in full for a dreadful meal.On that basis it is difficult to recommend this place - unless of course you'd like an argument, in which case I reckon he's up for it.

Our group of 4 adults and 2 small children visited Bangers for dinner this evening. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and were treated to fab food and beers (we had to sample the ones from a local brewery) at a reasonable price. As the mum of the 2 small children, I don't think I have ever visited a restaurant that catered so well to the requirements of the whole family. When we were walking past later that evening, we were called back in as we had left our baby son's bottle behind. This just sums up the care and attention we were given all evening, without ever feeling pressured. A really enjoyable evening at a very reasonable price. It was our 5 year old daughter's choice of venue and based on this evening's experience, we may be letting her choose again!

She had a plain dog with "the best chips ever" The Goodfellas was so tasty and succulent and the burger was delicious. Service was exactly what you would want, prompt ,efficient and charming. Nice to meet such nice people with enthusiasm, and dreams to match. Just had a lovely meal here, the staff were really friendly, especially the man who served us ( he's originally from Stoke) We were searching falmouth for a family restaurant with something on the menu for all of us, my 8 year old had the kids hotdog, which he described as outstanding and even better than richmonds!!!! My eldest son and I had the pulled pork burger, whilst my husband chose the chorizo hotdog, all were delicious and great quality, the homemade chips were also lovely. We had the chocolate brownie for desert, which are also made on premises and were beautiful. Great quality food, reasonably priced and really friendly, what more could you ask for? We would definitely visit again.

Had the Snoop dog vegi hot dog. Cant believe this is meat free! The balance of herbs and spices was sooo gorgeous. Having a brioche bun was much better than the usual white rolls you get from other places. Chips were scrummy too. All washed down with a very generous jug of Pimms (there were that many fresh strawberries in it was practically one of your 5 a day. I returned another day to have one of their cream teas. The scones were lovely and light, made on the premises by their own pastry chef. My dog was made very welcome and was allowed in the downstairs restaurant and in the courtyard outside. Def recommend. Cant wait to go down again, still to try their breakfasts. Nom nom

Decided to pop down to Bangers as we had heard some good comments about this new restaurant and we were impressed with the surroundings and the food. The member of staff who greeted us was very cheerful and made you feel relaxed as soon as you walked through the door. We were given the option of sitting upstairs or down so we chose downstairs which, although is below street level, is very comfortable as there are windows at the back and makes the area feel light and airy. The food was very tasty. We had the Bangers Dog and a Veggie Dog and all was hot and had lovely flavours, what more can you ask for?All in all a good meal and very good value too. Will definately be back

We had lovely food here; a simple menu with simply but deliciously cooked meat. We had one order of sausage and one of meatballs. The buns used are brioche and very well matched with very tasty sauces and fresh salad. The chips were excellent too. The layout is deliberately eclectic and informal and you may even have to share tables, but that feels natural with the atmosphere. We visited on a jazz evening and it worked really well. This is a break from chain and conventional eateries but well worth the visit if you fancy some excellent sausages, meatballs or burgers at extremely reasonable prices.

We popped in to Falmouth for the day and come a across a gem of a place. A fun and quirky entrance with an overload of banger and burger treats. Walking in the guys could not have been more helpful as we had two small children and a pushchair. Upstairs is bar come cafe, but there is a great space downstairs and outside sunny back yard. We had the good fellows banger a Philly cheese burger with two kids hot dogs and Chips. All the bangers are made on site and are very very tasty, but there combination of flavours stand out and make the food a bit special. Hard to believe that bangers with a twist has only been open a few weeks. We loved it and thought it was goof value for the money and quality of the food and warm relaxed serviceSo suggestions if your thinking of going..... Do it now because if they carry on delivering food and service like that it's going to get busy

If you like interiors & watching TV chefs reinvent comfort food then you are in heaven if you visit Bangers with a Twist. We sat at a nice little white table in the window whilst I figured how I could rob them of their chesterfield sofa, school table, sausage stuffing maching (they make their own sausages), Ercol chairs and photos. I asked them who was responsible for the decor and was really pleased to hear that they are. I felt reasured that if they had created the interiors rather than a designer, then all the clever, thoughtful touches would be as apparant in the food. Which they were. We ordered the pulled pork and the meatball dog both with chips. The plate it was served on was ace, the pulled pork was tender and moist and full of flavour - definatly cooked on the bone and the meatball dog was full to bursting with meat. The quality of the ingrediants is apparant for any taste and in addition to the tasteful surroundings I felt we received excellent value for money. The owners are, as other reviewers have noticed, completely lovely. Attentive and really keen to know if there is anything they can improve upon. I get the feeling that if you said you weren't sure about something they would really take your comments on board. With that attitude I would be really miffed to see anyone leave them a negative comment because they are approachable and enthusiastic to the max. I'm really pleased such a great place come to Falmouth. I am looking forward to going back, especially in the evenings when they open late.

Thoroughly enjoyed my hot dog - I can't remember the name but it was a lamb sausage with italian herbs which was delicious and it was so nice to have so many non-pork options as I don't eat it, and I was so worried when my boyfriend suggested we went there that I'd have a vegetarian option and that was it! Really nice, drinks were really well priced. Would definitly order a portion of chips as well though, maybe some kind of combo meal deal would be good? Also, don't be put off sitting at the school desks in the corner, actually quite a nice place for a couple to sit! But yes, overall really pleased and look forward to coming back again soon :))

As soon as I walked through the door the owners were amazing, friendly and warm. They cannot be faulted on their welcoming hospitality and I do feel really bad writing a negative review for their restaurant :-( however I feel compelled to write something in the vain hope they take on board some of my pointers as constructive criticism.....I was very disappointed in what you get for the price, I paid £7.95 for a sausage in a bun with lettuce. This is just not acceptable as I was barely full and didn't want to pay extra for chips. I did ask for onion relish (which cost £1.25) and I am so glad I did as I don't think I could of eaten the hot dog without it as the sauce that came with it was practically non existent and it was very dry. It was also served in a basket which made it very hard to eat or cut in half and I think it would have been easier on a board or plate. The meat in the sausage was nice and I get what they are trying to do, but it's just not working. I have eaten at a vast number of restaurants, cafés, and hotels all over Cornwall and there are many excellent, innovative places where they try something new, with a twist, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I don't mind 'different' but what really annoys me is paying over the odds for a poor amount of food, at the very least you should feed your customers well. I shall not be going back to your restaurant, but this is not a problem as there are many excellent places to eat in Falmouth. Please take on board the things people have said, as I really want you to do well.
