Really lovely home cooked fresh food. Nothing is too much trouble for Mel & Clare, they couldn't have been nicer. Really hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, so much so, we was waiting for it to open on day 2.

Lovely spot of breakfast, very reasonably priced & the staff are very friendly. Perfect spot too, either walking into town, or on your way home. Husband had a big breakfast which looked amazing & I had a cheese & ham omelette with salad, may have to skip lunch now as portion sizes are brilliant.

The staff within here was so lovely and polite, I visited this Tuesday, the young chap called jay or j (i think) served me. The belgian buns were amazing and i can't wait to come again! Thank you for the excellent service and i will be back!

Tucked away in a small lowkey location on the Strand in Walmer, Deal is a real gem of a place for "luncheon bakery". Not just a bog-standard Cornish pasty, but one that could knock spots off some of those eaten in Cornwall. And not just a basic BLT-type baguette, but a great freshly-baked toasted baguette with sausage, bacon, egg and mayonaisse. Both absolutely delicious and quite a conversation stopper while they were both enjoyed. Followed by a significant slice of fresh apple pie. Heaven. Well done the Bandstand. Can we come again?

Encore une bonne adresse, à Deal cette fois! Petit déjeuner anglais bien sympa et copieux. Du monde qui mange, c’est un signe... cela se confirme, bon accueil, prix sympas, bref que du bien !! un petit lieu qui fait également boulangerie face à la plage de galets. Un lieu à recommander bravo !!

Very basic but lovely friendly place. There were six adults and one child. We ordered six drinks and sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were delicious. Although we didn't have breakfast they looked lovely. Everything is good value and couldn't fault the friendly staff.

Local bakery with fresh bread , rolls and cakes made daily . Small cafe serving breakfast/light meals . If you try their farmhouse loaf and/or their soft rolls you will not be disappointed .

Have used this a long time . Good value lovely goods .My fave is their gluten free loaf it is superb and like good real bread .Unlike the supermarkets gluten free cardboarf

My family and I have visited the Bandstand bakery/cafe many times over the last five years. We are always greeted with a massive friendly smile from all members of staff from this quaint family business. You can buy items to take away as per most bakeries ( freshly made bread, pastries,cakes etc) and eat in as per a cafe. The food on offer is always superb (guaranteed the greatest chips served that you've ever tried) And really reasonably priced( I paid today less than £5 for a generous ham and cheese omelette and chips with side salad) , offered in a friendly small traditional historic environment with amazing views of Walmer green and the sea. My young family and I absolutely love eating here, the Bandstand's quality, cleanliness ( open view kitchen) friendliness and value never fluctuates....it's always wonderful and always has been Well done to all that work there. We will be back

We did not "eat in" at this buzzing little bakery, but often bought fresh early-morning pastries or bread here. Their Eccles cakes are outstanding! They are bursting with currants in cinnamon sugar. Also tasty are their apple and cream turnovers and crusty peasant bread, versatile for breakfast toast or sandwiches for lunch.

We called in for a light bite and were pleasantly surprised. Good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Well worth buying some of the fresh baked bread and wonderful cakes too.

Was a lucky find. You can eat your toast here and take a loaf home with you. Always a good place to stop for a tea and cake or something more filling all year round. Really nice owners who remember your face and will always chat a while.

Can firmly recommend their bread. Didn't have time for breakfast but the other customers seemed to be tucking in well

Busy local bakery with fresh bread and pastrys. Popular with the locals. It has a small seating area aoutside adjacent to the kerb. Had a very nice Cornish Pastry here.

This is aptly named Bandstand Bakery as it is across the road from the bandstand and is a bakery selling fresh bread,cakes and pies,however there are three or four tables inside where one can sit and have a freshly cooked breakfast and fresh it is and also cheap and good value for money I would recommend this little cafe.

A lovely little bakery, lovely bread etc baked on the premises, as well as various delicious pies & pasties, they also do some lovely dine in meals.

Called in here by chance, although I've lived in Walmer for nearly 30 years I've never been in and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband an myself just wanted a coffee but after looking at the menu decided on a toastie which was lovely, the coffee was also very nice and I decided to take away a slab of cheese and onion bread and some iced buns, all of which was very tasty. It was good value for money and I will definitely return. Thanks bandstand bakery :-)

Friendly, polite, welcoming and helpful staff. Many lovely, tasty enormous cakes and pastries to choose from. Daily baked bread is delicious.

Most reviews are about the bakery and its fresh range of bread and cakes. But you can also order a breakfast or, pie or omelette off the menu, with tea or coffee or a drink from the fridge. By November, all the customers were local and known to the family running the Bandstand - named after the place where bands play on the green. Do not visit too late for a proper lunch as this is a bakery and been at work since dawn.

You will not find a better experience of meeting the people of Deal , than visiting the Bandstand bakery. A family run business fronted by Mel and Glynn (Daughter and Father) with Ian (Mels' husband) as the hard working baker. Their motto is "Our bread was flour 4 hours ago". If you need a loaf, a pasty, or a cake, or a filling breakfast, head here for a treat of Deal.

Popped in today to see the cake and pastry range.. WOW comes to mind. Absolutely fantastic and the portion sizes are brilliant. Highly recommend this if you have a sweet tooth. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Very friendly establishment - we had a breakfast bap and poached egg on toast served outside with our dog, then two lovely cakes including a Belgian bun the size of Belgium on our return from town. A great little find - we will be back tomorrow!

A great place for coffee and cake or a pasty. Prices are very reasonable and as a bonus you can buy lovely fresh bread to take home

What a lovely little place to eat the food is excellent the cakes are amazing everything reasonably priced and the staff are so pleasant and helpful will definitely call again on the way to the ferry.

Pop in here for a coffee quite often. Cheerful staff, always made to feel welcome. Great fresh bread and rolls. Beautiful cakes. If your in Deal along the beautiful seafront pop in you won't be dissapointed.

What can I say, we was at the Deal motorshow on Sunday and decided to grab a coffee and cake. Nicely priced coffee and the Belgian bun was fantastic and huge too, delicious.The service was spot on, we will definitely be returning to the Bandstand bakery to try some of their other delights.Keep doing what your doing as you've got it just right, well done :)
