Decided to have lunch here on way to an appointment. Was told there would be a 20 minute wait which turned into 40 minutes! Meanwhile people were coming in after us & being served their food. When I asked the waitress if we’d been forgotten she went to check, came back & said ‘no there’s just a bit of a wait’ Then within a few minutes it arrived- obviously our order had been forgotten! Lovely food once you actually get it. Not a place to go if you have a time restraint. Think they’d do much better if they had more staff over the lunchtime period

The lovely staff listened carefully to me when I explained about being coeliac and understood perfectly. They cooked my food separately and substituted where necessary. They even had gluten free toast! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Afterwards, the kids had a great time in the play park.

Ordered two badger breakfasts but only one served. The second came out 10-15 minutes later and was clearly fried rather than grilled to make up the time difference. Eating separately was not ideal but an offer of a complimentary drink would have gone some way to rectify the inconvenience.

A breakfast treat. Menu extensive Locally sourced produce 5* hygiene rating Something for everyone good breakfast, garden centre, farm animals and childrens play area. Only fault was miscommunications between kitchen and waiting staff but that can be rectified. Probably the best breakfast in Canterbury Surrounding Villages at £10.95 for The Big Badger Breakfast which was delicious.

Never knew about this place! Friend suggested visiting and grabbing some lunch. My food was lovely, but sadly my friend had the quiche, which sadly had a hair inside it! When the young server got someone higher up, the way they spoke to us was as if we were making up the fact the hair came from within the quiche! Clearly staff are not wearing correct PPE when preparing and serving food - and as an Ex cook, i know what is essential! No refund given, just a free cup of coffee… Not a very good first impression sadly!

I love Nero’s coffee and food, I prefer sitting at Nero even though there are other coffee shops around: Good price for quality. I’ve been in the uk for 18 years, visiting Nero for 18 years too! That said, I won’t be visiting this one, ever!!! My latest visit was with my partner and kid. My partner ordered the coffee and food and left(took their take away with them) and I stayed to sit. I was planning to leave too but rain started to pour more, so I decided to eat the food inside. When I asked for tissues, the counter lady spat at me saying I paid for take away! In an empty café nevertheless! To the lady at the counter: Where are your manners? Can’t you kindly ask and tell me my partner paid for takeaway for everyone that I might need to pay the difference?!!! I was coming to your cafe at least 3 times a week, I always pay “sit in” price and how big of a deal it is if it’s paid take away without me knowing?!!!

Lovely ambience to this pub. Very tastefully lit and decorated without tacky fruit machines or music. I think this establishment caters more for the serious diner than for passing trade. The food was very good and if you enjoy fish then this menu is for you. I had the smoked mackerel in cheese starter and a sea bass main in an incredable rich fish sauce - very tasty. My wife had the Sardines and rosemary butter starter, the confit of duck with bubble and squeak with a lemon posset sweet. We found the prices very reasonable for the quality of food and the good service. Certainly look forward to booking again.
