Atlantis Fish Bar in East Devon

Really tasty fish and chips - I had haddock and the batter was the perfect level of crispy, and didn't overwhelm the fish like batter sometimes does. The chips were amazing - so fluffy! The team were so lovely, and took real care to make sure my vegetarian friend knew what she was getting without her even explicitly asking.

Really friendly, reasonable, generous. Always able to park there. Chips are lovely! Always willing to add more vinegar! I like pickled chips and most chippies won't oblige.

What a find ! An original chippy selling good sized portions at sensible prices. Great quality, well cooked. Recommended.

It was first time down to Withycombe Fish Bar tonight, not sure why it's taken so long but clearly I've been missing out. Definitely the best in Exmouth. Amazing service, no rush rush heres your food bye, type service. Also...the price! How is it still so well priced considering everything else has gone up in price...a lot. Including other similar type places in town! Will definitely be visiting again. If anyone is unsure whether to visit, just do it...I am fussy....it is good!

Simply the best chippy in town. Great portions, good value for money and Dave the owner is lovely and always helping to feed the local community who are struggling, I won't visit another in Exmouth, great job and keep doing what your doing Dave....

We are frequent visitors to Exmouth and our number one stop for a tasty meal to take to eat down the beach is Withycombe Fish Bar. The Service is fantastic and friendly and the food is always on point and highly recommended A+

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips served hot and fresh. We just moved into the area and popped to this chippy after a long day moving house. Thank you for a fabulous meal which we were more than ready for. We will be back!

Best value fish and chips in Exmouth and no cardboard boxes. Batter really crispy and decnt size portions.

Went in just as they were closing and staff were super friendly and did everything they could to meet our needs. Wonderful hake and chips we will def visit again Thank you .. come here do NOT use fish and chip shop in Haven Devon cliffs there is no comparison. The insulting piece of fish at Haven was dearer and 1/4 the size, photo on my Haven review but not posting here I wouldn’t want anyone thinking it was from here.

Dave and his staff are the best, in my opinion its the best chippy in Exmouth for value, quality and service

this was the most unappealing tray of fish n chips I ever purchased ,dirty over cooked and swimming in Grease ,had to bin them ,first time, never again

We have reviewed all, I mean ALL in the Exmouth area and for sheer good value, these guys are presently the best in Exmouth. I do not understand why folk would want to go elsewhere particularly when others either do mean portions or are so greedy that they are obvious rip off merchants. No names mentioned but you know who I mean.

Fish very good Mushy peas very good Chips so greasy they were kind of stuck together into a ball . Sorry to say but chips have to be on point to be a good chippy, Shame as blokes seemed lovely.

Absolutely love withycombe chippy! Portions are huge and food always tastes great. Customer service is on point every time. Any problems (if any!) are sorted very quickly.

Stayed at Sandy Bay (10mins away) a few times now and this is the best place we've found. Delicious hot food, generous portions and excellent value. Friendly staff too, can't fault it! Will definitely be back but probably have to wait a year...!!

We absolutely love daves (aka Withycome chippy) the portions are great. The battered cheese burger is a whole new level of goodness. He uses REAL CHEESE on the chips which is such a rare thing nowadays. And the foot long battered sausage definitely fell from heaven. Oh and the curry sauce is a must!

Great food good prices , curry sauce is best I've tasted and the burgers are very tasty and well priced ! good banter would definitely eat there again .

I make a point of dropping in whenever I am in the area, the chips are always hot, I love the curry sauce and adore the cheese burger in batter. The staff are friendly and the shop is always clean. You must stop by if you are passing it is well worth a visit

First time to visit with my family from the midlands. Absolutely lovely fish in batter and chips. Good portion and price. So much better than the ones in the town. Will definitely be returning and recomending. Lovely service too even though busy. Oh and had a free battered sausage.

Very friendly staff and excellent chips at decent prices.Used to go to krispies but since finding this chip shop haven't been back.If you live in Exmouth do yourselves a favour and give this establishment a spin.You won't be disappointed.

I have heard good things about this chippy but when I went I was deeply disappointed. The food was very greasy, especially the chips. I got lots of little spiky chips and very few full chips.

I tried this chip shop last week and I can honestly say I had the best fish & chips ever. Batter was perfect and chips were well cooked . Very polite staff and good value for money . I will certainly make this my preferred chippy in Exmouth.

Decent chippy, real big portions, well priced. Would return. Large fish and chips would have been enough for me and my missus...and I can eat! nice Chinese style curry sauce. Didn’t try the chicken curry but will if I’m in the area again! Free sausage for spending over £9 (I think). It undercuts other chip shops in Exmouth and was closer to were we were staying in Haven Devon Cliffs.

Excellent chips portion size and decent size piece of cod , can't fault it at all and cheaper than some other local chippies . Free sausage on my order too.

Before anybody judges me, I never want to give a business a bad review. But this is just my opinion and everyone needs to respect that. I got just chips from here. Unfortunately it wasn't that great. The chips had that weird hard but chewy texture that nobody likes. Also they were a bit green. This really worried me. I didn't finish them. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless your in the area and want the cheapest chips

Big portions of chips for your money. Fish is very good and I have a soft spot for sausage in batter. Very good friendly service and reasonable prices. Top chippy.

Popped in to check gluten free options. They will cook GF at any time to order. Very knowledgable about intolerances etc. Very friendly, conscientious service. Good food at a reasonable, fair price. Will be back.

Yo vivo en Brixington tan naturales primera opción sería Brimington chippy, comidas son normalmente agradable, pero las porciones son muy pequeñas y sabroso pescado no que... más cercana está en la calle los pinos... simplemente no lo suficientemente bueno, dijo. Si estoy conduciendo, ¿por qué no el famoso Krispies... las patatas fritas con mantequilla son agradables, pero en general es caro y el pescado no agradable y?...así que ¿por qué las porciones varían withycombe Gran servicio, grandes porciones y siempre tenemos patatas calientes frescas y el pescado es muy sabroso. No sé por qué la gente ir a ningún otro sitio!

El Atlantis mientras en la zona, pero no teníamos prisa. Peces que probablemente han sido a la venta desde la hora del almuerzo (llamamos por la noche) y estilo patatas fritas. No sé por qué chippies hacer esto, yo me pareció que era mejor sólo para cocinar fresco cuando la gente pedir en tranquila veces más que dejar en venta por horas y echar a la gente. Quizás deberíamos haber cogido a tener un pedazo de pescado recién preparado, entonces quizás yo sería escribir un comentario es totalmente diferente!

I usually don't write reviews but the last review was not correct as I've been eating gluten free here for 3 years and never had a problem I've even watched them through the windows as I'm carefull where and what I eat om pretty sensitive to gluten and I've never felt ill great food great service

Visitamos esta tienda de chips después de que nos dijeron que sin gluten pescado y patatas fritas que es genial, ya que nuestra hija es celíaco. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados cuando llegamos allí nos encontramos que no había una freidora independiente. Si los artículos sin gluten son cocinados en con pasta normal, etc. no son sin gluten debido a la contaminación cruzada. No es adecuado para celíacos.

Great fish and chips. Get's good quality food and gives everything in large sizes. Some might say his large cod are sharks or whales. Great social staff when they're free for conversation and you will tend to find them having fun at work, showing us a smile every time we come in. I would highly recommend this place for their large portioning, fresh food and social activity.

Everything you can want from a Chip Shop. Fast and friendly service and delicious generous portions for a reasonable price. Can't stay away!

Had to place a large order for food 28 portions , having worked in a chippy when a teenager I knew what that feels like to have somebody walk in off the street with large order. So I was really pleased with service ,20mins from order to completion food was still piping hot when we got it back to site , very large pieces of fish and big portions of chips, girl serving was efficient and the cook did a good job making sure we had everything we needed as well as throwing in some freebies . If I had to make an observation it may pay to have your phone number somewhere on front of shop to help with large orders being rung in . Well done to the both of you and would recommend you to everybody who comes to Exmouth .

I had been recommended this establishment by friends and family so felt I had to give it go. The enormous portions were excellent value and of a very good quality. A very satisfying take away served by friendly and good humoured staff.

If you want good quality food at reasonable prices then pay Dave a visit. He prides himself on his food and customer service. The food is always excellent and he always has a cheerful smile and he remembers you and makes you feel special

Always go to this place for large fish and chips, at a great price can't beat it!! Also has a large menu with lots of good home cooked food like beef burgers and ribs, but get in early if you want ribs all gone as soon as cooked. Keep up the good work.

Visited this fish n chip shop as our regular one was closed. The owner was welcoming and the food looked fresh. A huge bonus - ask for anything gluten-free and they will cook it for you. A unique service that I've not come across before. Our food looked and smelled good, and tasted divine. We'll be visiting Atlantis again and making it our regular chippy.
