Asian Rose in Mid Sussex

Had take away a few weeks ago and was FANTASTIC! Had same tonight and BERY disappointed ☹️ chicken very very dry, ordered muta paneer (for a change) and was so dry and overcooked! Thought we had found a little gem but alas no 🤦‍♀️

We have tried to support these young men in their new venture for the past year or so, having been Asian Rose customers for 30 years. Mostly, the curries have been of good quality but sadly, they would often deliver either a curry that was too hot to eat or too weak plus stale tasting poppadoms that seem to have been cooked in old oil. When the young manager was phoned about this, he said I should get my curry from somewhere else, so we went to the Masala Club. This is not good customer service!

Had a few deliveries to Hurstpierpoint via Uber over the past 4 months and every time the food has been first class. The quality and flavour is second to none locally and I can't wait for a night out in Burgess Hill so that I can eat in. Don't miss out on this place.

Amazing takeaway, one of the best in Burgess Hill. Chicken Tikka Madras was excellent, Naan was also great (able to customise the naan bread, add other ingredients to it too). Reasonably priced too, will definitely order again. Thank you!

Have eaten at this restaurant a few times and loved it. Tonight I ordered a home delivery. Delivery time kept being put back and back. No problem. When it eventually arrived it was completely cold and swimming in cold oil. Ordered madras because I like the spice, no spice whatsoever. Might of well had a korma. Ordered over 30 pounds of food and didn't get as much as a free poppadom. Never again

This restaurant serves the very best food and the staff are so polite and helpful. The portion sizes are substantial for price and food is always hot and tasty!

We were disappointed that the waitress did not know the ingredients of one or two dishes that we were interested in. The food was Ok but not particularly good.

I took my son for a meal for doing well in his GCSEs, and decided to try Asian Rose for the first time. We had a non-veg thali each, which is often missing from modern Indian menus. We weren't disappointed! It was lovely, well priced, and the service came with a smile. We'll definitely be back!

I’ve enjoyed dining at the Asian Rose for many years, so my review is probably long overdue. The food is always very good quality and served in a friendly atmosphere. I often request dishes that aren’t on the main menu, which are always excellent and very good value. Thank you Alam and team.

Thought we’d try this restaurant after nearly twenty years-which was hit and miss then-we were very dissapointed with quality if all dishes....sundries weren’t bad but main meals were bland and half heartedly cooked to say least...it’s not surprisingly to see restaurant empty when on collecting takeaway...shan’t bother ever again...,a ready meal would’ve been better from Tesco.at least it would’ve tasted good!!!!

Fantastic Indian Restaurant! Excellent cuisine at very reasonable prices. I have been eating there for the past 30+ years and rate it as the finest Asian eating house in the Area! Top marks!!

Had dinner here last week with my good friend Stuart and we were both highly impressed with the food. The prawn puris we had as starters were the best we have had and the prawn dish we had for main was also superb. We dine here quite frequently and do so because the quality is so good. Service is also very friendly and attentive. Easily the best Indian cuisine in the neighbourhood!

Asian rose is without a doubt the best curry house around, we have been coming regularly for the last 10 year's. Traditional menu with lots of house specials. Owner is happy to recommend dishes and can always tweak dishes to suit you. Very friendly staff and food is always high quality. Never had a bad meal there. Its been newly decorated recently and looks fabulous. If you subscribe to recieve emails they also send you deals and moneh off codes! Also a very good website to order takeaway and make bookings. Won't go anywhere else for a curry! Highly recommended! :-)

There are quite a number of Indian Restaurants in and around Burgess Hill many of which we’ve tried and have been a bit ‘ordinary’ and not sadly worth a return visit. The Asian Rose I will return to... its clean, small, family run and friendly and the owner has been here many years. The food is generally good and not oily as some can be. Friendly service and the prawn and chicken dishes were some of the nicest I’ve had in a while. Will be back.

Hi All Had a fantastic evening with staff and suppliers. The food was amazing everyone loved it. Service was great there were seven of us so not easy, but all the food came out together hot and fresh. Definitely the best Indian in Burgess Hill. Slightly dated Indian but has been going a long while and customers keep going back. You know you will get traditional service and straightforward dishes that will be exactly as they always have been - no surprises. Occasionally gets a bit rowdy on Saturday nights.

4 Adults & 1 Child for a family meal. The food was fresh and the service was prompt and very friendly. We had a range of different dishes and everyone was more than happy with the quality of the food. We must pop back real soon. My son and I shared the Chicken Passandar it was mild with plenty of taste, we wished we had ordered one each rather than shared one.

Went there on Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. Restaurant was very nice and clean. Staff were friendly and very attentive. We had three mains and some sides, all of the dishes were delicious. The restaurant started to fill up as we were there and it was a good atmosphere, not too noisy and the staff were still very attentive. Couldn't have asked for more. There are a lot of decent curry houses to choose from in Burgess Hill but this is my instant new favourite. I look forward to going back there.

We visited on a Monday so it wasn't busy but there were other diners. We ordered poppadoms, onion bhajis, lamb Bhuna, special biriani and garlic man. All the food was good and tasty although the biriani was a bit cold. We had a bottle of house red which at £9.95 was very acceptable. My husband also had a kingfisher beer. The bill was £42 which we felt was reasonable. The service was good and we can recommend this little restaurant.

Went as a group of friends. Nice clean restaurant, staff polite and attentive. 2 of us ordered medium spiced curries - Madras - however it was just a dish of chicken with gravy, no spice at all in the sauce. Maybe just an oversight but has put me off going again.

Alam and his staff are the best and most welcoming curry house in burgess hill. Excellent food and drink and really quick decent service. I enjoy it every time. Will use for many years to come.

Owner was lovely, food was average full of tomato which was a let down more spice wouldn't of hurt, lucky the food was average because the only thing less lively was the service. Very disappointed the god was worth the price.

Yo he ido a este restaurante por años desde que era un niño, y el personal siempre recuerda a sus clientes. Visité aquí esta noche con mi padre y la comida era increíble y el personal es muy amable. Habiendo visitado otros Indios también en colina burgess, sin duda recomendaría este restaurante!

Sólo se utiliza como una tome recientemente, pero sin duda volveré a comer. Personal muy amable y eficiente. La comida era muy buena y con buenas porciones de tamaño. Decoración moderna y limpia. Muy tranquilo durante la semana pero los fines de semana parece ocupado. Recomiendo las cenas.

Best Indian in Burgess Hill by far. Amazing food! We shared the garlic chilli chicken (which is by way the best i have ever had anywhere!!) and the Salmon Shahi (which was also absolutely delicious). Both the chicken and Salmon were so succulent and flavoursome. The owner, Alam, is such a lovely man who is always very welcoming and happy to cook your food to any spicy level you wish.Would highly recommend a visit to this long running restaurant.Thank you Alam and definitely see you again real soonAdele

This place seems to have been caught in a 'time warp' Stopped easting there a while ago as too many good restaurants that beat this hands down within 'walking distance. Service not great and food is average

We have been having a takeaway curry from the Asican Rose for over 30 years now nearly every Saturday. We've tried others but we always go back as we just love it.

Had a lovely family meal here yesterday. Good food, very friendly host. Not our first visit and will definitely return.

Apparently top rated and one of the longest established restaurants in Burgess Hill but although staff very friendly and food was perfectly acceptable, in need of updating and a good spring clean, i.e. popadom dish was grubby, the salt & pepper had not had a "wipe" in a while and the chutney pots were in need of a screwdriver and a good polish. Although only little points, this is what makes the difference when there is such a variety of restaurants to choose from.

Always use here for our indian take out.It's great as they have an on line ordering service - which is excellent - when I have been to collect it is more or less ready and waiting!

We hadn't been here in years as we moved to Brighton. I wondered if it would be still under the original ownership and still be as good. We were pleasantly surprised it was. The food was lovely. Service was excellent and price was really reasonable. I must say even though weve got a fair bit of choice in Brighton, we might travel to this place.

Food was delicious and we felt so well looked after. The cuisine is authentic and the owner is keen to ensure all of the food uses good quality ingredients, like chicken breast rather than thigh meat. I had lamb rezalla which was tender and bursting with flavours, together with mushroom pillau rice and a peshwari naan bread which complimented the rest of the meal. My husband had a chicken passanda which was equally as tasty, but more mild.Highly recommend this restaurant, it's traditional, clean crisp surroundings and fab ambiance, can't wait to return.

Always good customer service and good quality food with lots of variation. On-line ordering very useful. Would recommend trying.

On Wednesday evening myself and ten others visited the Asian Rose. We were greeted immediately by the owner and shown to our table.The next two and a half hours we were served tasty, flavourful indian food! All served quickly and efficiently with excellent wines and a selection of beers! This was our first visit to this restaurant and we will certainly return! Excellent!!!!

It says a lot about this restaurant that I now live in Crawley but travel back to Burgess Hill regularly just to eat in this establishment. I cannot praise it enough. My husband and I have had many special occasion dinners over the years and everything has been faultless. The staff are attentive and very pleasant, service excellent and the food is just wonderful.

going here was like going back in time, same decoration,staff and menu as it had more than ten years ago.Very old fashioned Indian choices. Several things the group wanted were out of stock!!Also draught beer was out........There are quite a few Indians in Burgess Hill and this must be the worst. Looking in the window as we pass its often empty and now we know why.

went here with friends from haywards heath and we were all mighty impressed, food was delicious, very friendly service and not that were cheap skates, but the house wine is good and only £9.99 a bottle. Will Be Back !

Since the arrival of a new chef and new menu, the food is even better. I can particularly recommend the Garlic Chilli Chicken.The Onion Bahjis are substantial - enough for two and everything is reasonably priced, including the beer.The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

My husband and I have eaten in the restaurant a few times but we mainly have a take- away. Whether 'eating in' or 'takeaway' the service is always excellent. The staff are courteous, friendly and polite and the food served is always amazing....The owner is always very willing to recommend dishes too and always makes time for his customers.

Went here with family on a Friday night. We arrived just about 9pm, and were the only ones there! This wasn't a bad thing, though.The service was attentive and friendly - the owner was on hand to answer questions, and ended up having a bit of a chat as well.The food was great. Good range of vegetarian dishes, with varied spice levels and all seemed well prepared.I would happily recommend Asian Rose, and plan on eating here again!

I normally use another curry house in town, there are so many in Burgess Hill. But this one was on my way home and I decided to pick up a small takeaway. It was great! The meat was cooked to perfection. The dansak was the right consistency and the heat was just right. I was very impressed and I will be going back, next time I shall book a table! The owner was friendly and I got a really nice vibe from the place.

Have been coming to Asian Rose since I was 3 years old. Now 24 and still my favourite curry house ever! Cannot speak highly enough of the quality of food and the attention the staff provide each guest. Thank you for your fantastic service.

This was our first visit by chance on the way back from Plumpton Races. It was the best Chicken Madras and Dhansak we have had in a very long time. Both dishes were quite hot - which we like - but they also had such lovely spicy flavours. The service in the restaurant was superb. Nothing was too much. Very friendly service. Fun summary the food was excellent and so was the service. We will come back.

Absolutely LOVE Asian Rose!!!! Best Curry house for miles. All staff so helpful, Alam is so lovely and welcoming! Food is amazing and came out so quickly. The restaurant was clean and tidy! Go here for every special occasion and can never fault it. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommended!

Went to the Asian Rose for a family Christmas meal. The Christmas menu was amazing most had the lamb shank I had the sea bass, superb could not fault, great evening

We have eaten here on several occasions as a couple, with another couple and in a large group, we have also eaten a takeaway. The food and service has always been consistently excellent . There are quite a few Indian Restaurants in Burgess Hill and they're all pretty good. But the friendly service here makes this a cut above the rest. Would highly recommend.

I have been eating Indian food for 30 years. Without doubt it is is one of my favourite cuisines, although I generally prefer old school "British" Indian food, rather than fusion or any of the more modern twists. If those are your tastes too then the Asian Rose certainly delivers.I honed my palate for spice in Scotland and the midlands, and rarely have I found food elsewhere across the country that truly compares. Many dishes served in restaurants in the south east seem pre-prepared and bland. But this is not the case in the Asian Rose. Whether its a Tikka Masala, Bhuna, Jafrezzi, Madras, Vinadaloo, Biryani, or Dhansak. Whether you prefer it extra hot, or a touch milder, the chef here will serve you perfectly balanced and spiced dishes to suit any tastes. And of course your meal will be accompanied by perfect Tandoor fresh Naan, your chosen rice and any of the favourite sides you could wish for. However, it's not the food, but the service at the Asian Rose that is truly stand out. A warm welcome awaits you from Alum the proprietor and Mo, his younger side kick, who are exceptionally dedicated hosts as well as hard working waiters. The Asian Rose is a five star eatery at two star prices, so if you are looking to eat out in Burgess Hill, and you like good simple old fashioned Indian food, don't miss out.

I have lived in the area for a number of years and always enjoy the food and the sevice in the Asian Rose. To be honest did not ever think about writing a review as usually concentrate on places I go on holiday or for work, but then realised I need to let others know how good this place is. Over the years have been to all other Indians in the town. Some are better than others but always enjoy the meal and service here the best. So don't bother trying any others in the area . Don't like too hot, and if you don't either choose the Bhuna Chicken. Always just about right and tasty tender chicken. Have eaten many other dishes and Alum & his team will always help with your order, and will cook it how you like it best. Enjoy

I wrote a review back in August and can't believe only three people have reviewed since.I think this is because the Asian Rose is the best curry house in Burgess Hill and it is full of regulars who revisit every week and don't think to do a review.I can assure you if you visit you will not be disappointed Please give it a try if in townKTx

Had a great meal for 4 last night including 2 lamb Shanks from the Christmas Menu. The shanks were very tender and the meat fell off the bone.Also recommend the Tandoori Prawns as a starter. Large prawns and great flavour.Drinks well priced.

Food is always good and Alum the Managers and his staff are very friendly, I would say the food is the best in town and well priced, place is very clean

I am in Sayers Common visiting my brother who had a heart attack in late March and we were in the neighboring town of Burgess Hill looking for something different from the usual very good "pub" food in the area, like Chinese. On what looked like "Main Street', we found this Indian restaurant next to the Chinese restaurant. We opted for the Indian one, and because my brother can't walk very far, we even found a parking space outside the front door. Being my first time driving on the "wrong" side of the road, it took me a little manipulating to park.Inside the door, we were greeted by a friendly owner and a staff member who seated us comfortably and then proceeded to recommend some not-too-spicy dishes as we were both unfamiliar with Indian food. We were not disappointed with the selections and ate heartily on some very healthy fare. Long story short, were both impressed with the wonderful food, service and the recommended choice of dishes. The Asian Rose is my local curry house which I have used for years. Burgess Hill has numerous Indian restaurants but in my opinion this is the best. The staff are great and Alum the owner is a great host. The food is always very good my favourite is Salmon Sashlick. If in town and fancy a curry give the rose a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I've visited this restaurant several times throughout the years and always had a very good meal. Nice range of dishes, friendly service who like to chat and banter a bit but know when to leave you alone. Good value and dishes are a good size too.Probably the best curry in Burgess Hill. Recommended.

This is the third Indian restaurant that we have been to in Burgess Hill. My husband and I both agreed that it is the best. No rushed service, relaxes atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon!
