Absolutely excellent, the food was fantastic, a quality buffet and lovely bar staff. Would definitely recommend booking a function here and definitely thinking of coming here for a family meal. Thank you so much as you really made Grandma Alice’s 100th birthday a special one. Xxx

Quite simply good cooking, by a talented team run by a host who knows what he is doing. We have been coming tor a while now, mainly for Sunday lunch. Always top class, service is fine, and the food great. Prices are extremely competitive and the atmosphere great also. S Do not miss this !!

For anyone who likes good food you must try the food and drinks at Ashton & Lea Golf Club the new staff are friendly and make fresh hot and tasty food, the starters are all freshly made and the soup comes nice and hot, the main course is the same and lots of it, to finish off try the desserts if you have room. I will be back for another dinner next week. 5 Stars 🌟

We have eaten at A & L many times but stopped doing so about a year ago after experiencing poor/indifferent food. However, A & L got a complete new catering team in September and what a difference! Food is now very good, varied menu (some delicious specials), served on hot plates and with an accompanying smile! The Sunday lunch menu is excellent value for money (ring to book) . Nice dining room with new tables that can be moved to accommodate all size groups, Great for a family and friends get-together.

There were about 40 ladies on our visit to the restaurant at Lea Golf Club and, although the food was very good, the service was extremely slow. For starters I had three large battered prawns served with a small salad and a chilli dip, Salmon in a tasty sauce served with some small roasted potatoes in their skins with some dishes of shared vegetables on the table and a very nice lemon meringue pie. However, the broccoli and mixed vegetables were put on the table a while before the salmon was served so weren't very hot and the people having turkey had to wait a very long time for theirs to arrive, and had to ask for the vegetables to be heated up. We did have a laugh when a dish of mashed potato was put on the table when the salmon eaters had finished eating quite a while ago and the turkey ones were on their last mouthfuls. Obviously not enough staff in the kitchen to cope with the number of diners. Not enough pots of tea were put on some of the tables and they had to ask other tables if they had some over!

I’ve Been to a few functions at the golf club over the years so I knew it was a great place to have a party, room is perfect for a lot of guests there were over a hundred on the night, we decided on bacon and sausage sandwiches with wedges and chips, all the food was top quality served by staff and warm and fresh, the Cumberland sausage was top quality and went down really well, and fast!!! Perfect place for a function and great food

In the past this establishment has been excellent. This year I have been twice in one week with different groups and it has been awful. The plates were cold also the food was barely warm. The turnips were so hard it was impossible to cut them. the Tuesday lunch time we did get extra vegetables but the Thursday when we asked for the dish of vegetables we were told that we could not have them unless we had roast beef. I had a stuffed pepper and four small (supposedly) roasted potatoes which I feel sure were days old, here again I could not cut or chew them and even found it difficult to stab them with a fork We tried to raise our concerns to the one in charge of the kitchen but she turned away from us and walked out. This review is also being sent to the directors of the club.

We recently had a surprise 60th birthday party for my mum and the food was great! There were lots to choose from and plenty of sides to go with it. The hot pot was my particular favourite. The chef is really friendly and accommodating and everyone involved in the organisation are really helpful too. I would highly recommend!

We went here for our Mother’s 80th Birthday! It’s a great venue with reasonably priced and good selection of drinks! Mum chose the hot buffet which was delicious and presented well! Really enjoyed the night!

Although wet, with the 18th green undergoing work this course was great to play and very well maintained. It was a surprise it was open considering the recent rainfall. The fairways were in good condition as were the greens. Stray of the fairway and a plugged ball could easily be lost and given up on but that will change as it dries. The staff are polite and helpful and I would recommend this course

We thoroughly enjoyed playing Ashton and Lea's fine golf course, and the day was completed by the friendly welcome in the Club House. The menu choice was good and the Chicken Caesar Salad chosen was well presented and delicious.

The chef was extremely accommodating, service from the waitress spot on, lovely girl friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the lamb and the pork cooked beautifully (very tender) the Salmon very tasty, we'll worth the money! Would definitely go again. Excellent!

Been to the golf club for several events and the bar and restaurant staff are always fantastic. The food is always good quality and cooked really well.

Our golf society visited this course last Saturday. We have played this course about seven times including our captains day last year. I am writing this review because I have always been impressed by the standard of the course, the greens and the helpfulness of all the staff. The day started with a bacon bap and coffee. We had a great game of golf followed by a baguette and chips washed down with a couple of pints of San Miguel. We were made welcome as always and last year at the captains day we had breakfast, dinner and tea. At the three course meal and presentation the Pesident gave us a few bottles of wine to wash down a lovely meal. I think this is a golf club that if I lived in Preston, I would be a member.

On arrival for Christmas Day lunch at Ashton and Lea Golf Club, Preston we were impressed with the festive decorations and atmosphere in the restaurant, set out for 100 people. The bar opened an hour before the meal was served and drinks were reasonably priced. The meal was superb from the starters, through to the cheese and biscuits, followed by coffee with mince pies. All tasted freshly cooked and plentiful. The staff were pleasant and efficient. We shared a round table with seven other diners, only one was a golfer! They had also booked to go to the New Year’s Eve celebrations dinner as they had enjoyed it the previous year. Further functions advertised in the bar were a Sportsman’s dinner and a Burn’s evening - an ideal venue for a function.
