Lovely spacious and clean cafe, found a tray, cutlery etc easily, all stored neatly and immaculate. Stood for ages trying to find any staff to serve me - I could hear them chatting and laughing but couldn’t see anyone. Eventually got served by a lovely member of staff and received my food quickly. Chips were lovely, gravy was as thin as dishwater and the sausages so dry and chewy I wrapped them in a napkin for my dog later ! Needed a lot of salt and vinegar to cheer that meal up - I was that hungry I was feeling faint, otherwise I’d have sent it back. You have to ask for vinegar, it’s not left out to use ??. Possibly the hot food is left out too long and dries out. No plans to visit again…..

Service slow, little choice at peek times and the food all looked and tasted like it had been there since the day before. One of our party waited 10 minutes for macaroni cheese and went it came it looked worse than if it had come out of a tin. She got a refund and didn’t eat it, it was that bad.

Firstly want to give credit to express cafe which I would hope turns around such poor reviews, it's not for me to judge either way only to outline mine and colleagues opinions of the delivery service for our breakfast cobs/baps/batches call other what you will. After numerous weekends of having their bin lids not once has there been an issue, delivered very close to requested times, staff no issue at all and we have tried most places in the area, pound for pound the nicest one currently. In terms of delivery/take away this is far from such a lowly score as it is given thanks all whilst it's this good we have no reason to look elsewhere

The food is nice, and there is a good selection, but the venue gets busy, and tables get taken quickly. But it's the service that lets it down. You have to order your meals in 3 different places if your family wants different things to eat, which means queuing in 3 different places. Why not have somewhere at the front with touch screens to order the meals? Then, just have collection points to pick the meals up using screens with numbers on it. This would save time and space as well as reduce the need to have 3 people at tills at 3 locations.

93 Hoole RoadLock malfunction. Terrible, the fire alarm horn around 2am we ran out of the room and realized our parents were locked in their room, we asked for help on reception describing what was happening while other people were running out. The response was literally a steady who employee said "so what", when we get to open the door and ran out of the building we can see another employee holding cigarette that possibly set the alarm.
