Asda Cafe in Shepway

my partner ordered a jacket potato and i ordered chips, when i went to get some salt and pepper sachets, there were none so asked to be told there werent any until the next day as theyd ran out! didnt tell us that when ordering so i had to go into the shop to buy some salt as couldnt eat out food without it, when i got back the food was brought out but as i spent so long searching for the salt in the shop my cup of tea that id made was cold! surely they could of ran into the shop themselves to buy some salt for their customers? not happy!

Dropped in Asda cafe for a quick bite and tea, bad mistake the cafe area needed a good clean, there were no serviettes available even when asking the waitress. There were no sauces available to have with snacks. Considering the main store is attached, that is really poor. Won't go in there again. Asda would do well to upgrade the cafe or close it.

The food is not the best but it is affordable and the staff were very helpful.However, the room is incredible noisy: the high ceiling is the underside of the car-park and is made of concrete and metal beams which create a constant echo from even the smallest of sounds. With the badly maintained screeching trolley, rattling fridges and sound system blaring out you will soon get a headache. The heat extractors simply do not work properly and the temperature of the room was unbearable.

La cafetería está escondida la vuelta de la esquina de la principal supermercado que es enorme. Así que después de un buen tiempo de compras para poner pies en la cafetería. El café tiene una variedad de comida que es un precio muy razonable. Se puede tomar un aperitivo o una comida caliente. El personal es servicial y el café está limpio.

While it is true that the wait to be served is comically long even when there are no other customers, the food is just about edible if you go early enough and only dare to eat the freshly fried food. It did however satisfy my need for a place to sit and eat for under £3, but I do suggest buying something packed from the store and go in the cafe to eat it. The food would be a lot safer and there's no chance of the staff paying enough attention to stop you.

Overall the food wasn't too bad not excellent but I've had worse for much more expense. My problem was with the rude and downright arragnont staff member serving a woman by the name of grace not only did I have to wait a near 10 minutes to be served baring in mind there were no other customers waiting . I was greeted with a blunt "What" from Grace she seemed like she had much better things to do then serve me I then ordered Lasagne which says on the menu serverd with chips and salad not once was I informed that my dinner didn't come with the chips I was offered I was instead told 10 minutes and she walked away when my food finally arived the plate was town down in front of me without a word. Downright disgusting customer service will not be coming back!!!!

Popped here for a quick lunch yesterday, 2 people serving, ie cooking, taking money and (cleaning tables)Waited ages to be served, didn't have most of the limited menu, staff attitude leaves a lot to be desired.Chips they served, we refused to take and asked for fresh chips, the place was filthy, no cutlery, asked 3 times, to be told its in the wash.Drinks area was filthy, tables not cleared, environmental health need to pay a visit.Asda need to look long and hard about how they roster their staff, as no wonder they were rude, there were only 2 of them.Most disgusting experience ever.

this cafe is situated for easy accesss & very friendly. You can go with family & eat a good choice of healthy food, drink and fruits of good choice. You can take your time and relax after lunch

lugar muito bom, sempre muito limpo e organizado, os atendentes são gentis e respeitosos e a comida é muito boa. nada a reclamar.

used to visit a few times but it just keeps going down hill so not been back since.start with the staff well they need more not 2 in the morning serving breakfast as i will dish up the other either serving or running in and out the back so time you end up getting your food its cold. your lucky to get a runny fried egg so time you ask them to re do your food is cold and they will not give you fresh food. the place is quite dirty for a big supermarket place cutlery have stains and marks on them.they need to have a big overhaul.

food is DISGUSTING! SOGGY AND LUKE WARM! Horrible, staff are childish and rude too. I am appalled yuck

I ordered a gourmet burger had one mouth full and could not eat anymore burger was like a dry piece of rubber.on way home had to stop car to be sick.will not be going back.

If you want good cuisine then you will know not to go here. Staff were over worked and probably under paid queue was very long and because of the sneeze guard, some thing I think is very important for hygiene reasons, picking meals was difficult. I had steak pie chips and peas my girls had maccy cheese and chicken korma. With drinks it came to just over a tenner and the food was nice, edible and hot.Will I eat here again probably if In the area as better than McDonald's etc.

poor service, having to wait on someone coming. cold food, tea making never full. and dirty tables. its cheap to eat but could do a lot better.

Basic cafe food of average quality but nothing to get excited about as usual like most cafe food by the time you get to your table the food is cold

Dried up lasagne sadly as I was starving at the time of my visit .The floor was dirty covered in debris. I had to wait for the Lasagne to be nuked. sad but true

OK food for the price - handy, but its a bit erratic in terms of quality. Coffee refills are good value. Cake OK. Lunches can be OK or awful. I once had the best fried fish ever (freshly battered and cooked) then the next time it was awful. But you get a meal for about £5 which is cheap enough

The staff were playing around the back than one finally appeared and half turned and starred at us in silence.The food is disgusting. Luke warm, soggy, no taste.The hot drinks are self service. So that means you pick a button and pray. You either get a soak crutch or an overfilled cup and sleeve full of brown.The brown I drank was weak and horrible.There would have been a gorgeous view of Folkestone but they put a metre and half of grey colouring around the windows.A great idea with huge potential but it needs some work and more store presence.
