I always go here when I'm in Coverack. The coffee is delicious, very professionally made and the cakes are made by a local small business. Best flat white for simply ages served in a cute pottery cup. My husband had an iced coffee which he said was delicious. We had the best outside seat overlooking the harbour and the sun was shining. We love this place, Coverack that is, there is a gentle pace yet always something to see .Near the harbour, indeed overlooking it is Archies Loft. It has mainly utside seats in a wondeful elevated position, ideal to accompany a hot drink. Our first experience was a delicious hot chocolate served by a delightful Canadian lady who did a very sincere job and made a good drink, whilst keeping is entertained with chat. Thus impressed , we thought to return and enjoy the fish chowder. Big mistake.A different person took a jug from the fridge and made a comment which suggested she lack much of it. So, we waited outside enjoying the view and along came our soup. Now, i am not a chowder expert but, I am fairly sure it should be creamy with lots of fish. But it was quite clear, allowing a view suggesting not much fish was there. The advertised chunky bread did not appear and we made do with focaccia which was dry and brittle.Food, some is better than none , especially when you need to eat( me, medical reasons) But this was fairly atrocious.Like i suggest in the title, variable.

We had pizzas on two evenings, which were delicious and generously topped. We also sampled different cakes and scones over the fortnight. Sandwiches, soup, pastries, ice cream... the flatbread filled with salami, cheese, roasted veg, tomatoes, onions and sauce seemed too good to pass up - and then it was heated to melt the cheese Definitely passing back that way even though it is a huge detour - so many places miss the mark, but this tiny friendly place was perfect. My review is likely a bit redundant as this is the kind of place you find /stumble across for yourself and help make a special day on holiday.. Like so many we were enjoying one of the many stretches of The Lizard coast path and was expecting a pub to stumble into, but this made a much better choice on a sunny but blustery day. There were plenty of locals chatting around outside the cafe, and we ordered mugs of coffee which we could take outside. The Americano was fantastic. All the pizzas, soups and snacks sounded so tasty but we went for gorgeous ham/cheese/onion toasties, all made with local ingredients. Lots of indulgent cakes and ice creams. We loved sitting outside looking down to the harbour and across the beach / village, watching the world go by.

Super cafe with fresh take out lunch bites / pizza / ice creams. Really friendly helpful staff. Some tables outside to sit at too. Quaint place

Excellent food, cakes and ice cream. Service slow at times but staff lovely. Tiny place and only one table available inside but sitting on the tables outside is fab with views of the harbour and beach. Recommend the mackerel sandwich.
