Visited for the first time lastnight and was not disappointed! Pizzas were amazing, along with the service. Will definitely revisit when back in Port Isaac. Thank you!

They were busy so the waitress warned me of a short delay but they served us at the time promised. The pizza was perfect thin crust with first class toppings. The service was friendly and efficient and looking around all the other customers were happy- a really warm friendly place.

My husband and I went here with our dog on the final night of our holiday and I only wish we had found this gem of a restaurant earlier!! The pizzas were delicious and the service was brilliant- so friendly! It was buzzing with lots of returning customers and people having take away pizza too. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Thank you.

Really disappointed having to wait an hour for two pizzas and watch customers arriving after us finish theirs before we were served. Pizza was tasteless and very poor. Waitresses were trying their best however product just not good enough.

What a fabulous restaurant, and Marie is a fabulous waitress, more than dog friendly, I can not recommend this restaurant more! P.s the best G/F pizza base I have ever had, in 10 years of being Gluten intolerant! Pps have I said how great this place is!

We’re here on holiday and loved the name and the look of the Angry Anchovy on passing . It always seems to have good vibe about the place . We had 3 takeaway pizzas WOW !!Absolutely the best pizza we’ve ever tasted and we’ve had many a pizza over the years . Friendly, calm efficient staff and reasonably priced (especially for the quality and taste of ingredients) . Definitely will return and sit in next time and we’d most definitely recommend it .

This place was our favourite when visiting Port Isaac for a few days in the summer holidays! Very friendly and helpful staff, Penny and Georgie were on for us and they were great! The food is fantastic and very, very reasonable for the area in comparison. This place comes highly recommended by us, my only advice is to book ahead as they only open from 6pm and were packed most nights. We'll definitely be back one day!

The food was very delicious and reasonable considering the location I would recommend to all. The staff were all lovely and it was a pleasant experience.

Went in with no reservation, all booked, OK far enough. However, just when we left a table of 7 adults and 3 kids with no reservation was set. Absolutely disgusting

Great food, great location, very dog friendly - the dogs loved the pizza and photo! Reasonably priced and good size portions.

The pizzas were delicious with an excellent range of toppings. Ideally we would have liked them a little crispier but that really wasn’t an issue. We were given school desks and chairs to sit at. They were very uncomfortable and it was a relief to stand up again after the meal. Service was very slow - they seemed under-staffed.

An ideal place for a family meal in Port Isaac. Perfect atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious food! Couldn’t for more ⭐️

The angry anchovy gets a 10/10 from us! They squeezed us in as we hadn’t known to make a booking which we were super grateful for. Our lovely servers Maria and Laura were super speedy and attentive. The food was out of this world, they had amazing vegan cheese which was such a lovely surprise! They even offered complimentary pizzas for our pups who throughly enjoyed them! Overall a brilliant restaurant with stunning food and amazing staff!

Great place at the top end of Port Isaac- Pizza was so good we had to go back for more! Our dog was given so many lovely treats and a pizza of his own. Will definitely come back again if in the area!

This place is the gem amongst all the so called fancy restaurants in Port Isaac . It is great food great service and reasonably priced (special thanks to Penny for making everyone feel so welcome ) Must book as always busy which speaks volumes in itself ! We just returned from a fantastic week in Port Isaac and ate here on our first night. We all loved our pizzas and the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and we would love to return if we go back to Port Isaac.

Lovely meal at The Angry Anchovy last night, friendly and amusing waitresses, great food and awesome play list. A first for us that our dog had a complimentary pizza, thank you.

Amazing pizzas. Crispy base with good selection of choices too. Laid back vibe with quirky decor. Friendly service too.

Booked ahead of time. Arrived and told card machine wasn't working. Hubby walked to cash machine which wasnt working either. Sat waiting for half an hour while customers chatted with staff. Left to go elsewhere. Tried every single restaurant in PI but no luck. By this time it was 8.15 and I was nearly in a diabetic coma. Ended up buying pizza from Co-op. Never again!

Excellent pizza and great service in a friendly and comfortable restaurant. Check Facebook for opening hours. In November it was open Fri and Sat only from 1900. Update July 24. Opening hours now extended. Check FB. Excellent pizza and service. Nice n relaxed. Just as good as before.

Takeaway pizza, ordered 12" didn't even measure 10" tomato sauce was non existent, cheese none, onions and peppers were cold and raw, meat didn't cover whole pizza. Complete waste of money

Disappointed really. Very friendly staff, only got a takeaway so can't comment on atmosphere. The pizzas were a little tastless to be honest, couldn't taste any tomato base, the toppings and ingredients were bland it seems the chef has forgotten what great pizza tastes like. A real shame as the staff are great and the location is spot on. A real gold mine in the making if they just remember what a tasty pizza should taste like.

We ordered three pizzas, a Margarita with Sundried tomatoes, a plain Margarita and a Meaty Pizza… the dough is very thin but tasty, the cheese is flavorful, the sauce is sweet… there were very few Sundried tomatoes and not much meat. Although the quality is there, the very thin crust along with the sparse toppings are not commensurate with the price… The restaurant itself is very quirky and quaint. The service was somewhat friendly. Definitely a good choice as it is the only pizza joint in the area.

There isn't enough stars to give for this place. If you like pizza then this is the place. Situated on the top rd of the village the atmosphere is warming and fun. Great decoration inside with a mix of memorabilia including Doc Martin . Staff were amazing Well one lady on her own as she didn't think it was a busy night so let some staff have night off then she was running around all on her own. Lovely lady . Super dog friendly place and the doggies are offered a complimentary pizza of their own. A picture on the wall of doggies is then added. Our pug loved her pizza . Recommend this place thoroughly. You can walk in at moment but suggest booking in summer months. The opening times and days change across season so check online before you rock up there. Worth a climb up the hill for in lovely Port Isaac

What an absolutely amazing little place. My dog was treated like royalty and even got his own pizza 🍕 🤩 he's online used to getting the crusts. We were there on Thurs evening 02/05, our last night in Cornwall, and had a wonderful warm welcome from the minute we walked in. Amazing food, amazing service (farmer's wife, I didn't get your name, I'm sorry). It made our holiday to have Ted feel so welcome. Looking forward to seeing Teddy on the wall of fame, and coming back soon 5☆

Great little pizza restaurant where your dog gets it's own free pizza.

Popped in quickly to grab some takeaway pizza and grab a cold pint while we waited. The staff were well presented and really friendly, the cider was ice cold and the pizzas were exceptional.

We came here last night whilst on holiday in Port Isaac. The staff were so lovely (in particular the lady with the brown curly hair in the ponytail - she was amazing), the food was great (pizza base was 100/10) and an overall really nice find in this little town. :)

Great quality pizza served by friendly staff. Dog friendly and a wonderful atmosphere. Sharps brewery beers on tap.

A really lovely little place, the pizzas were delicious. My son is gluten free and he had the nicest GF pizza he’s ever had. The staff were all lovely, very friendly and attentive and even the dog was made a fuss of with her own pizza and photo on the wall. Would definitely recommend.

This is a cheapish and cheerful cafe, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. It serves tasty homemade freshly baked pizzas. The menu would benefit from a bit of variety - like a pasta dish or two... and some different salads. We enjoyed our meal here. The food was good and not over-priced and we would have stayed longer if it was a bit more comfortable (the wooden chairs were very hard).

Delicious pizza, super friendly staff and so so dog friendly - our furry friend got her picture taken and was added to their wall of doggy fame! Definitely a must visit in Port Isaac!

We visited with my parents and our dog . A quirky little place with great pizzas and the sweet potato fries and salads were great ! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and certainly made the experience even better ! We also ordered takeaway pizza from here . Highly recommend!

Myself and my humans dined here, the parents and grandparent said the pizza was awesome!! But forget that let’s talk about me! I got my photo on the doggy wall and wait for it… can you feel the suspense… my very own Doggy pizza 🍕 🐩 That makes it a 5 star venue for me. My daughter loves this place and rightfully so. The pizzas are lovely. The ndjua was my favourite. They also bring out a mini pizza for your dog. The service also deserves a mention. The lady who served us was so friendly. Great experience

Really disappointed by the owner’s attitude. We tried to eat in this restaurant yesterday and while the member of staff was really helpful the owner blatantly ignored and to be frank treated my wife l like something on the bottom of his shoe. While I have no doubt the food is excellent we will never eat in this restaurant out of principle.

What a lovely restaurant! With an anxious pet dog who can't be left alone for more than an hour or so, we needed somewhere dog-friendly to eat and the Angry Anchovy exceeded all expectations. Though busy the staff were happy to meet our dog and chat and the pizzas were top notch. We loved it that our dog's photo was added to the hundreds adorning the restaurant wall

Ordered a Meaty pizza for collection. We were slightly late due to traffic but it was kept warm for us. It was sooo tasty. Full of flavour and peppers and onions still had a little bit of crunch. Lovely staff. Can't wait to have another one.

We been there around 7 on Sunday It was not busy only 2table were in serving yet they refused to serve us Moreover they refused to get take away . Before going there we called and lady shut the phone without complete conversation saying we can’t serve take away or eat in .

Had a meal for the four of us; loved it. It’s a quirky place that demands pre-booking, and rightly so. Great food, very clean and friendly staff. We only had pizzas, we didn’t try any sides but the pizzas were just top dollar; (hopefully I’ve successfully weaned my family off of stupid big-chain horrors at long last). I wish they had more capacity but then perhaps that’ll detract from the atmosphere. If you’re nearby, book and enjoy. Oh, they don’t just automatically add a service charge so please make sure they get the tips they deserve:- service is second to none.

We've meant to come for a meal here for some time and wondering why we hadn't come earlier - it will certainly be a 'must'on our list on future visits to Port Isaac! A warm welcome, complimentary olives and breadsticks to start. We had the hawaiian pizza and a white pizza with mushrooms, truffle oil and extra anchovy topping. The green salad we ordered was also beautifully presented and everything delicious. Very nice merlot too! We brought our dog Basil with us and he absolutely loved his free doggy pizza...and a few salad leaves too! Looking forward to next time!

Been wanting to go here for years but it had always been fully booked. This time we planned ahead and made two bookings. It was well worth the wait. Great Pizzas - complimentary olives & breadsticks - and a Nutella calzone & ice cream to finish Eclectic decor - album covers from my era, film music & Doc Martin memorabilia. Great service & good value So nice to have a pizza without lots if deluveroo drivers queuing up to collect orders - but then Port Isaac is rather hilly and has limited phone signals! Will book ahead again when we return for 2024 Endellion Festivals.

I’d put zero stars but unfortunately it isn’t an option. Got there tonight for a takeaway and told us they were fully booked for takeaway. I always thought takeaway was to be cooked on request but obviously not in that shop. Safe to say I won’t be trying again. Co-op is closer and cheaper for me and probably taste nicer.

Clearly staff attitude issues here this evening as quite a few other reviews are relatively positive or are the expections of others lower? Phone not being answered for takeaways. Drove (several miles) to place order personally. Greeted by an entirely lifeless young lady with barely a fundamental grasp of customer service who made it quite obvious she couldn't be arsed to "add to her workload" by answering the phone! Even after this we're told it'll take TWO HOURS to fulfill our order of just THREE pizzas. A business model built on "why care - there'll be another mug punter holiday maker just around the corner"!

We ordered a take away from the Angry Anchovy and unfortunately three out of the 5 pizzas we ordered were incorrect. While the pizza was tasty (although the pepperoni was particularly oily), we would have preferred to receive what we ordered. I appreciate that if we had contacted the Angry Anchovy, they may have rectified this, however by that point we were starving!

On holiday in Port Isaac I rang up on a Saturday night to order a takeaway. They were busy but took the order for 2 hours time. We turned up and the order wasn’t ready but we were given a seat to wait and offered a complimentary drink. The pizzas were freshly cooked, plenty of toppings and thin, crisp base. Absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself looked fun and quirky, it’s obviously a popular place and it’s easy to see why. Highly recommended, next time we’re in Port Isaac we will definitely book a table for the full experience. Thank you.

Excellent meal here as a final night treat after a lovely week in Port Isaac. The pizzas were divine, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crispness & heavy with toppings. The serving staff are extremely attentive and they really are dog friendly - our pooch got spoilt rotten with his own pizza, treats and his photo on the wall- highly recommended, but I suggest you book ahead!

Amazing place! Food is stunning, staff are wonderful and Dog Friendly is an understatement. The dogs get their very own mini pizza!! (see pic) Music was great, banging out all the classics and there is even a dog wall of fame where your pooch can get a pic taken! Such a wonderful little gem. If you're in Port Isaac you must eat here (with or without a dog!)

Arrived at 8pm to a restaurant with a few empty tables. We didn’t have a reservation but were told they were fully booked. Seems like the couple behind us were told the same thing. Walked back past 30 minutes later to see an empty restaurant bar one table. Seems like the lazy staff didn’t want to serve anymore so were lying to potential customers. I’ve read similar reviews so seems like it’s an ongoing issue. I’d recommend having a back up plan if you’re set on eating here.

We stopped here for dinner two nights in a row while spending a few days in Port Isaac and I can highly recommend The Angry Anchovy - great service from Penny and her team who made us feel very welcome indeed! The pizzas are delicious and they also do gluten free bases - if we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back! 😄

Just back from The Angry Anchovy in Port Isaac. Great vegetable pizza at a reasonable price and a limoncello ice cream/meringue dessert to die for. Quirky place with good atmosphere and very attentive cheerful staff. Will definitely recommend.

We visited the Angry Anchovy after a long day of walking on the South West Coastal Path. We were cold and very hungry and this was the perfect place for dinner. We had two pizzas and two lots of chips. I had a gluten free...

Website says food stops at 9pm, but wouldn't take an order at 8:30pm. Don't bother

One star only because I can't leave a zero star review! Don't believe the information on the website that last orders are at 9pm as the kitchen shuts when ever they can't be bothered to cook pizza, on the evening we wanted to order it was shut at 8:30. Customer service on the phone was awful, no apologies for the kitchen shutting early and couldn't get me if the phone quick enough. Their loss as we spent £75 elsewhere that gave fantastic customer service and great pizza too.
