The shop and nursery are lovely if you don't mind a 2 mile hike to find everything.. Especially the cafe which is up a hill basically..It wore my 86 year old mum in law out! The configuration is all wrong. And then you have to leave going all the way around the nursery again when the car park is through some gates that are locked and there was no need to walk all the way back again ...Very annoying place and i wont be returning with my mum in law any time soon..Sorry..

Visited cafe before shopping in the Garden Centre. My wife is a regular but this was my first visit, As it I was a hot day I unusually decided to have the Chicken Tikka salad, but was told they didn’t have all the ingredients to make any of the salads. Instead I had the turkey pie with chips & peas. The chips were superb. All the staff were especially helpful and friendly.

Quiet but friendly place, there's a decent selection of patio furniture to look at considering the size of their building. They also had a decent selection of bedding plants. I bought a plant, but it was tricky to pick one because I found a lot of them had long roots coming out of the bottom of their pots. I'm going to watch the plant, to see if it does well after its root trim.

Garden centre is nice, however we had a Sunday carvery which wasn’t. The veg was soggy and chewy and my wife had the veggie option which was all the veg plus veggie sausage. Unfortunately the sausage didn’t turn up even after asking twice for them, so my wife just had a plate of vegetables for the same price as a standard carvery despite you serving veggie alternatives.

I visited Little Dinos Soft Play with my two daughters. It was my 3 year olds birthday so we thought we’d treat her and her little sister to lunch out and a play. My 11 month old was in the ball pit playing with me when an older child grabbed her dress and scratched her face and head until she was screaming. The mother pulled him off after a few seconds and very casually just said “oh sorry about that.” My baby’s face was bleeding and covered in scratches so I immediately picked her up and removed her from the area. A few minutes later another parent who I know from nursery approached me to ask what had happened so I pointed out the little boy and said that he had grabbed and scratched her. When the mother of said boy came over and started screaming and shouting at me saying that I was “calling her son” and asking if I wanted her to “batter him” to make me feel better over the incident. I responded by saying that I was simply letting my friend know what happened as she could see the damage to her head. She continued to scream and shout in my face and tried to get her friends to join in. I just walked away and took my baby to get cleaned up and put a cold compress on her head. Around ten minutes later the deputy manager came in to speak to me and the group of women started shouting over “oh she’s got the manager involved! He’s only one! Grow up!” And kept saying it was an ‘accident’ - take a look at the photos, it was no accident. She looks like she was mauled by an animal!! I hadn’t notified anyone, it was a different member of staff who went to get help after she saw the mother shouting at me while holding my bleeding baby. The deputy manager then spoke to the women and did absolutely nothing, she seemed more annoyed that she now needed to write an incident report. She kept saying “kids will be kids” but the issue was the aggressive mother who was shouting in my face while I was holding my baby and my toddler nearby. She just left them to it and they were continuing to say things about us. So we just packed up and left. The entire place felt incredibly hostile and didn’t feel comfortable letting my girls play with that child still in there after seeing the damage he caused in only a few seconds. All we wanted was a nice trip out for my little girls 3rd birthday and we left with an upset toddler after witnessing a group of women shouting at her mother while holding her baby sister. And my 11 month old full of scratches all over her face and head. This is completely unacceptable, that place is supposed to be a fun and safe place for our children. Parents should not be able to act like that with no consequences whatsoever. The way we were treated was absolutely disgusting and having multiple children witnessing it too with no staff member standing up to deal with it. I now feel like I’d think twice before bringing my daughters back here if the parents can act worse than the children. I’ve since had an email response from the centre but it was from the deputy manager who I was complaining about. So I feel this is just inappropriate and it should be passed on to higher management

Have passed this garden centre on several occasions and not realised how big it is. Apart from the obvious plants and gardening equipment there is a large area devoted to garden furniture and outdoor dining,an area selling pavers shoes, an area for clothing, one for toys and another with displays of jewellery, soaps, scented candles ,pictures and soft furnishing to name but a few. There is a large cafe/ restaurant selling a good range of snacks, drinks and meals and there is also a carvery. Within the cafe there is a designated area for those with dogs. The children's play area looked OK and although we didn't go in,there was a separate indoor soft play building. Definitely worth a visit

I went here for the first time with family. Had the carvery. I asked for some turkey and some beef and was given some wafer thin slivers of each. The stuffing ball was hard and dry. The Yorkshire pudding was like a huge stumpy cone with the consistency of card board. The carrots, despite having some herbs sprinkled on them, like the cauliflower and the broccoli and the gravy were all tasteless and the whole meal was Luke warm/verging on cold. The roast potatoes were OK, and the horseradish sauce was good. Far superior carveries to be had else where so wont be returning in future.

I came specifically for the softplay area for my one-year-old. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain, and to reach the softplay, I had to navigate through the garden center, which was leaking in various places due to the heavy rain. Some sections were closed off because of the rain, and although the garden center displayed a nice selection of trinkets and plants, part of the outdoor plant area was flooded and inaccessible. The softplay area could have been better maintained; the floor was sticky, high chairs were covered in gunk, and even the tables, which should be easy to wipe down, were sticky. The overall cleanliness was lacking, with bits scattered around, and the restriction on wearing shoes made it uncomfortable, especially considering the less-than-clean condition inside. If the cleanliness improves, it could be a great place to visit, but as it stands, I wouldn't feel at ease returning.

Due to delay of meals was overly hungry also the potatoes had been reheated, worst food we have had from cafe as normally very good , but only takes 1 member of staff with attitude to ruin a day out.

We sent it back, waited 20 minutes and then went and asked about it, we were given it only for it to be cold again. Nice food - in fact the burger and a few chips were very good. However, prices were disappointingly high, especially over £3 for a half pint bottle of soft drink. Worst of all, all the crockery has that gritty feel that means they were washed in a dishwasher that was full of food residue - leaving everything with a thin layer of other people's leftovers. Frankly disgusting, I had to clean my tea up with my shirt sleeve to make it fit to use. The second cup of tea came with the same quality cup :(
