Anokhi in Swale

After ordering a takeaway from locally acclaimed Curry Queen on Sittingbourne high street, which we found swimming in oil, we avoided ordering Indian since then (2 years ago). After searching just eat we picked Anokhi as the set menu for 2 seemed reasonably priced with a lot included compared to its rivals on just eat. It arrived quickly (30 mins) still hot and individually packaged. Food was flavourful, portions were good & I will not hesitate to order again. Quite frankly I was shocked to come on here after and read such terrible reviews. They definitely have our custom! Set meal for 2, extra naan & extra starter for £26.

Had a takeaway from here a few times now - Wether Indian or fish and chips. Always trying a different main and it’s always tasty. Helpful great staff too.

Absolutely awful should of stayed clear by the state of the place filthy place rank food never again

First time delivery order! the Indian curries was tasteless, floating in oil and extremely hot! , which has to be drained first!! Had friends round for dinner, so embarrassing!! the Paneer Shashick was dry and tasteless, side dishes we threw away, and the salad was turning brow, the mint had gone off!!! and rice was stuck together as it was obviously not fresh. Thought we would give it go as the leaflet came through the door, I suggest binning the leaflet, complete waste of money. By reading the reviews now, they are jack of all trades regarding food!!

After my first experience from Anokhi which wasn't to bad, a little bit tasteless and slow to be delivered, I thought I would give them one more try, which I wish I hadn't, after I placed the order and waited till after the hour long delivery time I get a message saying your order has been cancelled, learn from my mistake and stay away and give the business to those who want it. I'll be telling everyone I know about my bad experience with this joke of a takeaway!

One word...Disgusting! We live locally & have given them the benefit of the doubt several times, Indian side is distinctly average but Fish & Chips nothing short of disgusting. Rock hard saveloy-fork would hardly go through the skin, over cooked sausage & dark brown oner cooked chips literally swimming in grease. Never again, we've tried them from time to time thinking that maybe they will have improved but they are consistently terrible. The indian food side is ok but certainly no better than a ready made indian meal bought from a supermarket. Sad as they are well placed in a large village & could potentially attract a lot of trade but I don't know many people who have had a good experience here.

Tried ordering twice through just eat but the administrator cancelles both orders... time waste.. Obviously doesn't want to look after there customers!

Fish and chips were excellent....freshly cooked and a good price.....however the curries aren't that good....large jars of Pataks paste....no fresh ingredients....needs to be addressed.......

I have had about 10 Indian takeaways from here and have always found them to be good. We collect the food, and is normally ready in 20mins to collect.

Ordered for collection haven't been in ages and thought I'd give it another go tikka masala was average onion bahgee was hard sheek kebab was under cooked and onion was raw chips were hard, keema naan was stone cold missed out plain naan and popadom were inedible and soggy real shame as it used to be the best around really let itself down

Terrible service Terrible food always late for delivery or to pick up and the chip shop side is just as awful sorry but never again and such a shame as on our doorstep!!

Very pleased with our first experience of Anokhi. Food very nice and reasonably priced. Will be using them again

Had been put off ordering due to bad experience when it was Karma. Finally ordered and we was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and the staff friendly.

Lovely food, really cooked well. Not too much and very little waste. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also the prices were not through the roof. Would deffo recommend
