Actually, pasty from Ann's Pasties stall at Truro Food Festival 25th-29th September. Pastry was good. A bit short on meet, nice balance of potato, swede and onion. Slightly dry for a pasty. 6/10.

Mush. Was ripped off. After a long walk around the Lizard point was starving and looking forward to a pasty. My wife went in to buy them at 2:15pm. They had no traditional pasties left! My wife bought vegetable pastys which cost the same as steak ones. I took mine back and asked for a refund, intending to go elsewhere. They did offer me £2, so some credit to them, but no refund so I decided to eat it anyway. Pastry was ok. Filling was disgusting, squishy, tasteless, multi-coloured muck. Day ruined. What kind of pasty business has no proper pastys left by 2:15pm? Don’t buy the vegetable ones, they are awful.

Best pasties ever, so full of flavour and filling. Did notice that small pasties and the larger ones need to be ordered in advance, think it said 24 hours, but medium ones just right, ok ok ok.....we're on hols so may be eating more! But holiday calories don't count! We couldn't wait to tuck in and ate on way back to holiday home!

We visited Ann's Pasties in Lizard village on a Saturday lunchtime in May during a weeklong visit to Cornwall and whilst on a visit to Lizard Point. We had driven to Lizard Point and parked in the National Trust car park which is free to members, a dedicated pedestrian route following ‘Lighthouse Road’ links the car park and the village. We found Ann’s pasties in ’The Square’ in Lizard village and it is a fair sized premises. The shop has a good amount of inside seating and also some outside seating and we chose the former joining another group on a large table. The café was very well patronised though it was lunchtime on a Bank Holiday weekend. There is a good choice of pasty fillings available and also sizes though at the time for our visit there were no ‘medium’ sized pasties and we had to settle for a large one. The pasty was served in a paper bag and was very good though the pastry was very flaky making for lots of crumbs especially when eating from the bag. We certainly enjoyed our lunchtime meal here and when finished moved off to explore the area further.

Trying to be kind by giving a 4 star review but not as good as in the past. The pasties now seem to be inconsistent, some days they are 5 star and other days 2 or 3 star. I still like the pastry but the filling is not the best nowadays. I’m not saying I wouldn’t go again but just a tad disappointing. Probably because of the very high standards from a few years ago.

Ann's smelt amazing when we walked past but I wish we wasn't fooled. We had 1x cheese pastry, 1x steak pastry and a sausage roll. The sausage roll was absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure what's happening there but it was all meat, no pastry. The herbs they used in it was gross and stayed with me all day. My daughter had the steak pasty which she said was chewy. The cheese was ok, but lacked a cheese taste? It was mostly potato and onion.

Picked up a couple of steak pasties and a cheese pasty following a long walk along the beautiful coast. The meat in the steak pasties was tender but there wasn’t much of it and, for our taste, the filling was under-seasoned and bland. The first two pasties we had were unbelievable, perfectly seasoned, plenty of meat, the tastiest flaky pastry we've ever had however - the second ones we had, not so great. Don't get me wrong they were still very tasty, but the meat one only had a few pieces of steak in, which was a bit chewy and the cheese and onion one was just vegetable, still tasty but certainly not cheese and onion (they may have put the wrong one in the bag and we got a vegetarian one). The main photos on this page are old, no longer located at a yellow cottage but right in the center of Lizard itself. We would have again as I said they were very tasty.

I have been cooking pasties to the Cornish pasty association recipe for years and always like to try pasties in Cornwall to compare. I must say that most establishments seem to be able to get away with selling some awful stuff to gullible tourists these days.Anyway, Ann’s pasty. The pastry was okay’ish, though I don’t think it was lard based and it was a bit flaky. The filling was good with identifiable ingredients. The one star only, is for the seasoning. I like salt on my food, but this was inedible. Way, way too much salt. So much that I didn’t even give it to to my dogs. Had to go in a bin. Can’t eat = 1 star.I did e-mail the business, but they couldn’t be bothered to answer (others did).Avoid, there are better pasties out there somewhere.

We had been looking forward to trying Ann's Pasties for years and finally this year we made it. Ann is lovely and genuine, but something isn't right with the quality of the beef she is currently using. It's chewy, tough, even gristly and pretty sparse. Ann you need to spot check, the meat (& lack of it) is going to let your hard earnt reputation down. Get a secret shopper to check they are to your standard. Is someone swapping out cheap meat for your usual? Is your butcher letting you down? We cannot phathom out the problem, but the pastry is to die for.

We were suprised to see the little yellow house in Beacon Road closed, and the name "Ann's Pasties" over a shop on Lizard Green instead. These pasties were very poor, so unlike the original Ann's recipe. It seems the brand has been bought but not the recipe or pastry skills of Ann, the doyenne of the proper pasty. What a shame, but all good things must come to an end. Buy your pasties elsewhere now.

I’m not coming back. The veg is grey since it’s frozen & meat tasted gamy. The quality has gone down hill & taste seemed to vary from pastie to pastie & from day to day. Staff is rude at the new cafe at the Square, Lizard. Staff keep touching their masks with their hands and straight after it touch the food without any sanitisation. Not very hygienic. Staff kept saying to us only they are closed but door is open and customers are served prior to & post us. One day the cafeteria / shop was open & they prevented us from entering when the doors were open, there was no sign saying we are closed now, we had masks on, sanitised our hands and checked in via NHS app. We were disappointed as we had walked for 3 hours on the coastal path to get to our destination and to buy a takeaway pastie + drinks each. The funny thing is that they claimed to be closed but they allowed other people in the shop post us who even did sit down. We have been buying Ann’s pasties twice a year when we are in Cornwall but we are not coming back anymore.

I love her packaging and especially the 'history' behind her skills..there is nothing like a recipe 'handed-down' from your elders! My dear Uncle (the lucky recipient) who has been isolated since March - was both delighted and amazed with his 'birthday' gift of 2 large 'beasts' - all the way to Leicester. I am amazed by the fabulous service - so much so - I have ordered again for my son in Leeds!...by the way...I am from Devon - and have no argument over "who makes the best pasty?"..the answers right here!

If you’re visiting Cornwall, you must visit Ann’s Pasties. We originally found her at The Lizard, Cornwall. But after exploring other parts of Cornwall we realised that Ann’s amazing Pasties are available across other places too. The pastry is like nothing you’ve tasted before, the filling is of great quality and she uses locally sourced ingredients. My 13 year old son is very fussy when it comes to meat and Ann made him a custom pasty, using ingredients from the butcher across the road from her. Great value, one pasty is huge and enough for a meal. Thanks Ann for always making our visits to The Lizard a bit tastier.

Had a few pasty’s on our little trip to Cornwall and Ann’s was by far the best! Scrummy filling perfect pastry and the cutest little setting in a converted garage! 100% a must go if you’re looking for the perfect Cornish pasty!!!

They had fresh hot pasties available when we walked up around 11am, price was reasonable considering the big size of s medium pastie. Definitely the best pastie I have ever had, took it to go for our walk to the beach!

The kids really loved the fish pond outside. We all had a pasty each which were lovely (between us a cheese, vegetarian and steak). We've been before so knew how nice they were and pleased that kids enjoyed them. They were just a bit pricey.

I went for a traditional pasty. Unfortunately it was only the last couple of mouthfuls that had any meat at all. I was starting to think I had the vegan pasty. Even then it was very little meat. The size was good at least and I may have have just been unlucky.

On our holiday in Cornwall we wanted to try 1 authentic Cornish pasty, but we should have tried somewhere else. Both the meaty and the cheesy pasty were 90% the same plain veg. The meaty one just had a tiny bit of meat, and the cheesy one had hardly any cheese.

Ordered two pasties from here. Pretty average to be fair, there are much better pasties on offer throughout Cornwall. Still, when on The Lizard I guess you need to try Ann’s.

These are excellent pasties, well worth travelling to buy, or even getting them posted.

Always get pasties from Ann's, they are delicious. I can't visit the Lizard and leave without Ann's pasty. Not good for the waistline but when in Cornwall....

Be careful, where you buy. Best from Lizard straight from oven, less good in Helston and not v. good from recent Mullion outlet Shame, as for years we thought these were the best on the Lizard. Indifferent content distribution and some condiment irregularities.

I'd heard Good reviews for anns pasties so I was disappointed when I tried one it had a nice flavour but lacking in beef it was almost vegetarian.I would guess no more than 5% beef.

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
